This review is for both PSS solar panel install as well as their EV team. TL;DR: Just stop your research and go with PSS. There, I just saved you hours of time! We worked with Bill as the Project Manager for the solar install and Nick, Paul, and RJ did the solar install. Everyone was highly responsive, quick to answer any questions, extremely helpful in designing the system and pointing us in the right direction for our needs.

They never tried to upsell us (they actually told us we were going too big and should downsize) and were extremely professional throughout the entire process. There was even a bit of a payment snafu and they were understanding and patient while it was addressed. Their bid came in towards the lower end of all the bids we received and we are very happy we went with PSS.

We are in the middle of working with Andrew on the EV wall unit install and he too has been super responsive and helpful in addressing a myriad of questions. Overall, it's been a joy to work with PSS and I'd recommend them to anyone.

Puget Sound Solar is absolutely top-notch, from a patient and informative quoting process to super professional and high quality installation. We chose PSS on a neighbor's recommendation and were very pleased with their array of customizations. With the advent of micro-inverters, we learned that a solar system can be increased modularly, and this helped us identify our priorities and budget. Jeff quoted us a few different options, and we never felt was pushing us in any direction.

We were left with a super functional system with room to grow in the future. The installation team was friendly, efficient, and considerate- and thanks to Puget Sound Solar's size, we actually got our system a full two months early when another comparable system for another customer had to be delayed. Now a few weeks into our new system, we feel educated, taken care of and just plain impressed with Puget Sound Solar. We'd recommend them without reservation.

We hired Puget Sound Solar to design and install a solar panel system with a backup battery, and we could not be happier with the results. The entire process went smoothly and the crew was great about letting us know everything that was happening so that they were able to minimize any disruptions. I kinda overdid it on the bidding process and wound up getting a total of 8 bids for installing solar panels on my roof. I found Puget Sound Solar to be the perfect balance of quality for the price they offered. They're clearly one of the top 3 solar providers in the Puget Sound Area and highly recommend working with them. Their communication throughout the process was great and ultimately the work seems to be high quality.

I hired these folks to install a Tesla Wall Charger after reaching out to around a half dozen companies. They were the first to get back to me with a clear, itemized bid. The electrician they sent out (Ryan) was punctual, communicative, professional, friendly, was able to answer nearly all my questions, and didn't BS me when I asked him something he didn't know the answer to (regarding the specifics of the Tesla charger I purchased).

Their price was a little on the high side compared to other bids I received, but I'd say the clarity and professionalism was well worth it. I'd rather pay a bit more for a job by a company that communicates and makes expectations clear from the get-go than save money working with folks who are less organized. The charger also works better than expected. I have no complaints at all about the entire process and would certainly hire these folks and recommend them in the future.

Puget Sound Solar was great- responsive, answered all our questions and addressed all our concerns at length. They were speedy and thorough for the installation, and they even squeezed us in to an earlier installation spot so we got our solar about 6 weeks earlier than expected. We will be recommending them to anyone else who wants solar installed!

Puget Sound Solar set me up with solar panels. They are a pleasure to work with, very professional and did an amazing job. Everyone is very nice, I really enjoyed working with them. The various regulatory parts were all administered well and the only issues were with PSE being slow which is not Puget Sound Solar's fault. Also everyone who came to the house are dog people which really made my pooches happy. Tesla had a delay on the Powerwalls and at first I was willing to wait.

When that became untenable PSS pivoted and are helping me with an Enphase backup system. PSS's flexibility and adaptability is very good and I am happy to recommend them. I also am a huge fan of how long they have been in business so they can serve me for warranty, repairs and updates. One of the panels installed was defective, PSS worked with me and the vendor to correct this and get me running at no cost to myself. Problems and resolutions like this show how good it is to work with a well run company like PSS.

We chose Puget Sound Solar for our residential solar installation. After gathering quotes from three different vendors in the area, we chose PSS for their competitive pricing, clear and understandable quoting; timeliness, and great communication. They were patient with me as I planned for this project for almost two years. Once we were ready to make a decision, they made the entire process extremely simple and were always quick to respond to any questions I had.

The installation and electrician teams were quick, friendly, and did excellent work. I especially liked the electrician's attention to aesthetic detail when running the conduit along the side of our house! Also, huge props to Project Manager Clayton who was our main point of contact after signing a contract. He was always available to help us through the project and even got our project moved a week ahead of schedule, which is crucial when trying to take advantage of the long summer days in Seattle. Very straight forward, great financial incentives (not as good as they once were, but still help) and very knowledgable staff. They came out and did their work with no problems at all. Got the system hooked up to the internet and phone app so I can monitor performance and everything is rocking! Producing renewable energy! Can't wait to see what the summer months produce. We are very pleased with the solar panels installed for us in July 2019. Throughout the whole process, each staff member was professional, efficient, informative, and patient with our questions. Scheduling was a little tricky, just after the July 4 holiday but they and we were flexible and everything went very smoothly. The installation job took 2 full days followed by city and Seattle City Light visits, and a follow-up with our project manager.

The system has been working well, and we can easily access hourly production information, and every other level, plus customized reports. It was a pleasure to work with Puget Sound Solar and we highly recommend them.

Puget Sound Solar has installed two solar systems for me. 10 years ago they installed one that I replaced with a newer one when I had to replace my roof last year. Every estimate they made on both systems was spot-on. If anything they seem to estimate a little less than what you will get just to make sure they don't overstate it. I can't wait to add to my system.

Puget Sound Solar was a pleasure to work with. The initial meeting with the sales and design engineer to talk about the ins and outs of going solar was very informative and engaging. As we compared bids with other companies and asked for tweaks in the initial design they were always very responsive. Putting up the panels was quick and painless. They were a little outfit, home grown and very responsible helpful folks. I've updated my system now and wow! They have grown with many employees and are still very helpful and responsible. Puget Sound Solar did a great job installing two different photovoltaic systems on my house. After a proverbial light bulb went off in my mind realizing it was time to go solar, I started shopping around and was most impressed with the staff at Puget Sound Solar. From meeting with the sales manager, project manager, front office staff, and the installers, they were all skilled professionals wanting to understand our family's needs, answering our many questions thoroughly to make sure we understood all our options. Now, nearly four months after having roof top solar, we are generating 75% of our home's electricity from the sun (our system is 7700 kW with 28 panels), radically reducing our carbon footprint, and thereby helping to fight climate change.

The owner, Jeremy, is also a tireless consumer advocate at the state legislature, working to prevent fossil fuel lobbyists from blocking attempts to penalize solar customers. I had them install a 4.56kW solar system on our house and they did a great job. Professional, organized and easy to work with through the whole process. I especially enjoyed their no-pressure sales approach and their willingness to talk through various options. They even talked me out of adding more panels because the production would not be worth the cost. To me that's great service - putting the best interests of the customer above short-term profit.

Puget Sound Solar did an energy evaluation and an upgrade for us. They did very well from beginning to end, communicating consistently and accurately, and doing what they said. When we encountered a few minor problems, these were rectified quicly without any fuss. They also helped guide us through the entire process. Dealing with them was a pleasure!

Our main contact was Corey at their Rainier Avenue location. We just got our first electric bill since the upgrade, and our electricity usage is half what it was-AND we are more comfortable!

We're repeat customers. On the recommendation of a solar design consultant [Chris Herman of Winter Sun Design] we hired them in 2008 to install a solar hot water system. Installation was quick and efficient, and we immediately noticed a drastic drop in our gas bill, especially in the summer. So when we had to replace our gas furnace this fall, we thought of moving away from frack-happy natural gas to a system that could employ solar energy.

Our gas heating company offered a hybrid system that required gas furnace backup and so did two others--all smelled of corporate slickness. But we remembered the folks at Puget Sound Solar and called them. Hah! Lower prices, better guarantees, and seamless interaction with other needed upgrades made the choice an easy one. Unfortunately for us, PSS has become so successful that they were booking dates 8 to 10 weeks out, so we had to wait a few weeks for our new heaters to be installed, and the solar panels had to wait until we could finish insulating the attic.

But now the system is complete and working very well. I love watching the electric meter spin backward on sunny days! Aside from doing high-quality work, these people deserve a lot of credit for tirelessly and selflessly promoting solar energy throughout the region. Their busy work schedule testifies to their high standards and integrity.
