Overall a stellar experience - from Joe's initial consultation to Steve and teams removal and installation. Everyone had a great attitude. I have not an issue with the workmanship or system performance. Only small issue (and it is small) is we were scheduled for a Friday and they called Thursday (the one day we said was not good for us) to see if we could help them out and have our installation moved up to that day as they had an opening and wanted to keep their install team busy.
As my manner is I said, "Sure, we can make that work though I'll need 10-15 minutes notice to leave my office to get home to let them in. Do I get the standard 10% discount for being so helpful?" Todd said he'd have to run that request up the tree, I replied "great" and we both chuckled a bit. Upon arriving at our home Steve provided an excellent overview of what to expect including timing.
The same lead time to get me back from my office to be provided a system tutorial and pay them was shared. At that time I mentioned that Todd was running the 10% discount up the tree and then offered I would be most happy if they simply installed the surge protectors at no charge which was a much better value for them - $600 retail value as compared to a $1100 discount.
Apparently it was decided that our helping them out had no value beyond what they would have provided the next day, the scheduled day. Again, not a huge deal, simply a bit disappointing as it seems as though our inconvenience had no value in comparison with their need to keep their crew busy. Now the GREAT news is that the system seems to be amazing! Very happy with the end result.

Brian my sales rep was amazing, he stayed on task, was very detailed about the furnace and AC unit. It was an awesome experience. My technicians were amazing. My wife and I had our A/C unit go out on us during one of the first hot weeks of the year unfortunately. I called Schaal and they sent out Chazz Machamer to go through all of our options and pick out what unit was right for us to replace. Once we picked out the right unit, then they sent out Chris Beckman along with Zach to swap out our old unit for the new one. These gentlemen did a great job. Once they were done installing the new unit, they walked me through on how to use it very throughly. I'd highly recommend Schaal!

To be honest, we have had a great experience with Schaal over the last 3 years despite some mistakes. (A few years ago, one of the newer technicians came out to service our furnace and forgot to reconnect one of the lines so we were left without heat immediately after he left.) But our most recent experience has made us never plan to use Schaal in the future, unless absolutely necessary.
We recently had them install a brand new furnace and AC unit. Under no fault of their own, we have had the brand new furnace continue to leak despite multiple service technicians coming to inspect it and stuff rags into the part leaking. We were told a part would be ordered and we would be contacted within 24-48 hours with an ETA for installation.
It has been over 3 days with no word (this is now 3 weeks after the initial installation.) All of that we can deal with, but what we cannot stand for is the damage done to our home without anyone telling us it occurred. Attached are pictures of wall damage found today and a vent cover that is damaged and will no longer stay in place. If someone had told us about this damage at the time, we would have been more understanding, but no mention of it was made or discount on the service for the damage done to our home.
There is also a vent cover that is bent so it now snags shoes/socks. Another cover still has a screw sticking out that was never actually put back in. Sorry, Schaal, but we will definitely not be recommending you to anyone else in the future until you reach out to us to acknowledge what was done.

They (Micheal and crew) were very professional, considerate of my home and everyone in it, including our very rambunctious puppy. I'll be recommending Schaal. Edit: Had duct and vent cleaning and sealing done 3-3-22. Was very pleased with how smooth it went. The whole process took about 5 hours and I was able to stay while the cleaning was being done which is a huge deal when you have a puppy and a toddler.
The sealing was about an hour and a half, the perfect amount of time to go to the park then grab a bite to eat and be home for nap time. Spencer and Adrian did an amazing job.

Both the plumbing technician, Jonathan, and the call center staff were great to work with when scheduling an appointment. Extremely timely with communication, flexible with my schedule and overall very helpful. Being able to know exactly when a technician was going to arrive was so helpful in planning my work day around the appointment. Jonathan was very thorough in his evaluation of the issues I was having with my sump pump and water heater.
He made sure to find the root cause of the problem and tried to repair the issue before recommending replacement. I have full confidence in his work and knowledge and would recommend Schaal to everyone!

Very impressed with Schaal. Sales guy "Chris". Very helpful and explains thins in plain, simple and straight to the point with no bull. Install Techs "Travis" and "Chris" did an excellent job. Two of them were ripped out the old Lennox and put in the American Standard in what seemed like no time flat. They tested everything and answered all my questions. I would definitely recommend Schaal.

Schaal was great to work with especially how quick they were able to come to our house when our heater went out. They worked us in the very next day. Chris was great to work with in weighing out the pros and cons of either fixing our furnace or getting a new furnace. I didn't feel any pressure and he answered our questions. We ended up going with a new furnace.
I was not home when Travis came and installed it but my fiancee was and he said Travis was great. He even had a dog treat for my dog! Which deserve a 100 star review. They put the new furnace in and showed Adam how to work it. It is very user friendly and it was so nice coming home to a new furnace. Thank you Schaal for your outstanding work. I am very grateful. The technician, Christian Abbott arrived on time, was very friendly. He wore a mask and shoe coverings. Asked appropriate questions and if we had any problems with our furnace. I directed to the furnace room. He explained the maintenance procedure he was going to complete. After he completed the inspection he explained some minor items he found. He explained normal ware for a unit of the age of our furnace.
He did recommend replacing a capacitor on the blower motor, explained what it's purpose was and gave me the option to replace it or not. No pressure, just a full explanation that it was weak and will possibly fail at some point. He did have the part on his service vehicle, and installed it. His work area was clean up like he found it. He explained everything he had done, and asked if we had a question. Extremely satisfied with the technician, and as always, very satisfied with Schaal Plumbing Heating and A/C. I would highly recommend them.

Having my furnace go out unexpectedly was very stressful but Travis Speed and Jake Kelly made this experience hassle-free. They both were very polite, knew what they were doing and explained everything in detail. I was able to watch and ask questions but didn't feel the need to loom over them. The workers that put in my furnace were very nice, polite and kept me informed to what was going on, they could not have been any nicer. One thing that also really impressed me was that Schaal sent me an email before the workers got here with a picture of the employee that would be here, that was great and my friends thought that was a great safe. idea also, the employees got here right at the time they were scheduled for.
They explained everything to me about the furnace and thermostat, and cleaned everything up very nicely. I would highly recommend Schaal to anyone that need any of their services. Update: 11-12-2021 Furnace installation! My brother came over to look at my furnace and said it needed more work. I'll remark more after my brother calls to see what Schaal will do.
