We have never before posted an online comment, but in this case we feel compelled to speak up. Recently, we called Mesa to replace a garbage dispose-all and clean out the P-trap under a bathroom sink, both relatively simple, straightforward jobs. When the plumber came I was informed (for the first time) that I would be charged at the unbelievable rate of $400 per hour, minimum. Needless to say, I was taken aback at this, but since he was already here and I needed to get the work done, I let him go ahead.
The plumber was here for exactly 1 hour and somehow the total charge came to $658.21, which certainly seems excessive, even after allowing for the cost of the dispose-all (which we know to be relatively inexpensive). And even in the face of my very obvious unhappiness with the charges, I was never offered any sort of breakdown or other explanation as to how the total amount was arrived at.
We believe we were seriously overcharged and taken advantage of. For these reasons we would hesitate to use Mesa again and could not in good conscience recommend them. Judith L.

We had our garbage disposal installed and were shocked at the high price of the estimate. My husband signed it since the repair man was there at our house and he hadn't done comps for comparison. We were charged $891.00! After the fact I called around for comps. Mike LaBella Plumbing charges $325, Bernie's charges $372, and Planet Plumbing charges $440.
We were overcharged, based on the comps, $550-$650! That is pure gouging! I called and talked to Shannon and told her the comps. Her response was simply that that is their price and my husband signed it. What terrible customer service. There are other great plumbing companies around to use that believe in good customer service, so choose wisely.

Keppler, Canyon, Labella, Bernie, Around The Clog and Planet Plumbing were all a lot more than this place with the $1000 just for garbage disposal repair or replacement. Mesa was less than that making them the cheapest and had some of the friendliest employees. I got a chance to look at the estimate before making the decision to sign it and have the work done.
I'm happy with the result and recommend them to everyone. It's a shame when people want free work and come on these business pages to lie about them. If they think they know better they should go through all the training and learn how to do it themselves because they called the pros since they can't do it themselves.

If I could give them a zero I would, but that's impossible so I had to give them a 1. I had someone come out on February 25th because I had a leaky pipe and the heater wasn't working. They got the heat working and sent another guy out to fix the leaky pipe. The pipe in question was responsible for reducing pressure and they didn't have one so they had to order a new one.
Their plumber, Jacob I believe was his name, put in a temporary fix to stop the leak which resulted in my shower perpetually leaking. Before he left he gave me a quote for $309, I refused to pay until the job was done so they left with just a $100 visit fee, a separate charge from the $309. I called later that week as the heat had already stopped working again and they told me the part they ordered wouldn't be in for another 2 weeks and they'd check out the heating situation when they came to install the pressure reducing pipe.
Two weeks pass and I call and talk to the plumber who told me the part still hadn't arrived and they'd call back as soon as it did. I never got a call back. Now I don't have hot water coming through the showers, no heat, leaky shower, and the heat still doesn't work. I called again, now it's just under 2 months since the initial visit and they now tell me there was never a $309 quote even though it's in my texts and I got that number directly from their plumber.
The new quote is $741.29, ridiculous! I asked them to honor their quote, they refused so now I have to find someone else to fix a part I've been waiting on them to fix for two months. Terrible.

Doug did a great job. I was nervous because the previous owner always did my work but Doug showed up, communicated well, quoted the price, detailed the issues and got the job done. He assured me that his work was complete and if I found any issues to call immediately. I felt well taken care of and confident that I can maintain my plumbing relationship with this company.

Mesa did a great job getting my swamp cooler ready for summer. Many other local vendors were no longer doing swamp cooler maintenance, so I was really happy with their service. Unfortunately, my house burned down before the weekend before it was to be winterized, but I will certainly use Mesa again once I have a house again! Service: HVAC system maintenance

The plumber arrived within a couple of days for a construction project which included tubs, shower installations, drains and faucet setups. He was very friendly, cooperative, knowledgeable, and finished in a timely manner. I have used Mesa in the past and I would definitely call upon them again in the future. Services: Shower installation, Faucet installation

My heating system went out. Mesa sent James Ives on a Friday within 2 hours of my reporting my issue. He quickly determined the problem and found a replacement part to be shipped asap ( my furnace doesn't1 take standard parts). Jim explained everything to me and some safety issues with the heat off. His knowledge and professionalism and promptness is the reason I will continue to use Mesa.

Replaced a residential sewer line using the bursting method. The crew who did the work were efficient & competent. The team was sufficiently staffed and had all the necessary tools, equipment, and materials. The Mesa site manager did a good job of keeping me informed about the sequence of activities. They did a good job of minimizing the time the sewer line was disconnected. It was a nice touch for the Mesa company owner to stop by and connect with me.

My furnace broke in around negative 7 degree weather and Mesa and James Ives truly went above and beyond to fix my furnace as quickly and inexpensively as possible. To secure the part I needed, Mesa established a new relationship with a part supplier and picked up the part from a different city, all in less than 24 hours. James then called me with a price for the part before coming out and what they charged me was more than reasonable, particularly under the circumstances. Plus, they were friendly, professional, courteous and tidy the entire time. It was a pleasure working with them. James has earned a customer for life. I recommend Mesa and James.

Need a mini-split for heating (and a/c) since my boiler died. Mesa came out to build an estimate. Luckily Mesa is able to get the unit in by Monday and install next week! When I called they are very nice and helpful answering all my questions. The estimator was professional and courteous. I will update this review after install!

We called for a backed up sewer line that threatened to flood our basement with awfulness. Ryan was able to diagnose the problem, get the needed equipment and take care of the problem. He was friendly, polite and explained what was going on, putting our minds at ease. Thanks Mesa and Ryan. would recommend.

They wanted $800 for 20 minutes work. We've had it done before; our usual plumber charges $180. He was on vacation, so we called Mesa. They also wanted to add an additional $400 for cleaning hair out of an easy drain. When I told them the price was far too high, they charged me $100 for showing up for 5 minutes to quote high prices.

We have used MESA for fifteen years and have always been happy with their work-not one bad experience in all that time. Every tech we've met has been professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Most recently, James came by our new home in Boulder for a furnace checkup. He was careful to explain all the ins and outs of our systems, what we can reasonably expect for future repairs and replacements, and the best approach to ongoing maintenance. Patrick did a full plumbing checkup and helped us determine our priority list for repairs and updates, as well.
He is so friendly and professional and detailed in his work and I am always confident in his recommendations. It was a pleasure to work with them both. I'd also like to thank Shannon-we have had visits to three different addresses over the last few months and she has been very helpful in getting everything scheduled and organized.

We have used Mesa over the past few years without complaint, but our most recent interactions were disappointing, to say the least. Terrible customer service, exceptionally poor value, and completely unprofessional. I wish I had checked the recent reviews before calling them again. But, we didn't. We called and made an appointment. No show. Called and made another appointment, finally someone showed.
We had a split in the copper wiring that connects our evaporative cooler to the water. When the serviceman came out to fix it (total of ~15 mins of work), he said the fixture no longer fit, it was causing a leak, and we needed to replace the garden hose splitter with a brass one and get a washer for the evap cooler sillcock. Not sure why it suddenly didn't fit when it wasn't causing a problem before, and their team had set everything up the year prior, (or why he wouldn't have spare parts) but anyway. after a $260 service call, we went to Home Depot ourselves to get a new splitter and washer for the evap cooler sillcock.
None of the available fixtures fit the existing evap cooler attachment, so we had to get a new evap cooler sillcock. Then the copper connection didn't fit. we don't have the right tools to cut it cleanly enough to replace the fitting, so we called back. After three separate calls on three separate days (after being told I would receive a call back but didn't), they sent someone out.
On this call, he was able to take a look at the actual cooler since we finally had all of the parts needed to make a leak-free connection. He then said someone set up the evap cooler wrong (reminder: it was Mesa was out the year before to service it and there was no problem then), and it's now leaking. Apparently, we need to replace the entire unit. So, at this point we have spent over $500 for less than an hour of labor and still have a problem.
My dad does HVAC but sadly doesn't live close enough to fix this. I agree with him though-- this is unequivocally terrible customer service. You should have the parts you need on hand and fix and double check things on the first visit. Don't charge for multiple visits if you didn't leave things running smoothly the first time. Over $500 for less than an hour of work is ludicrous.
On top of all that, one of the men (I think the owner) laughed at me, not in a friendly way, when I called and used the term "spigot, " though he knew exactly what I was talking about. There is no reason to treat your customers poorly for not knowing the proper terminology for your field. I don't laugh at people who don't know proper econometrics terms or how to run regressions. This is something that I would normally not consider worth mentioning, but it's like a rotten cherry on top of a terrible scoop of ice cream.

Had a new heater installed by Mesa less than 3 yrs ago, heater sensor got corroded in that time, mesa came and fixed it in 5 minutes. charged me 140$! for something so damn simple! This is absolutely absurd and a total rip off, have used mesa for quite a few things now I will never call again. He should not have charged me this and now have lost a valued customer, I am a resident of gunbarrel, I will use other heating companies in the future. It was so quick and simple, he told me I could do it. so wtf?

Excellent, professional service! Charlie arrived when he said he would, and when he showed me the bill, it had the same price he quoted me - I was amazed. I've been baited and switched by other plumbers (who may have catchy jingles on TV and radio, but really poor service) in the past and I'm happy I have someone I can trust now. I highly recommend Mesa Plumbing!

I worked with Jason and Charlie over at MESA for two different problems at my home. In both cases I received timely, professional and affordable service. When dealing with my second problem, a failed boiler and water heater, I was really impressed with the effort Charlie put in to helping me make the best out of my situation.

BEWARE, Don't trust them. If I could give negative I would. We had a tankless water heater flashing an error code and called them out to fix it. Cost was $184. Supposedly the technician cleaned it out to fix it but told us if that didn't work to call back because we probably need a new one. Well, it wasn't fixed but they could sell us a new one for about $5000.
We called another company for a price on a new one and before they would even discuss selling us a new one, said they would come out and clean it. Go figure, they really cleaned it and said our unit should last us another 15 years. It has worked ever since. We dodged a $5000+ bullet because an HONEST company came out and actually cleaned it for $120.

I made an appointment for a bid from Mesa and asked about the coverage area. The sales representative told me they work all the way to South Denver, so I asked if they could come and do a bid on a split-system install in Broomfield. I set this appointment over a week ago, and the specialist called me at 11am to tell me he was canceling the appointment at 2pm. Permanently.
He did not have the "manpower" to service my call. It is hard enough during this time of year, and to have a "professional" cancel at the last minute and tell me that he can not come do the bid/work is the most unprofessional maneuver I have ever been privy to. If you look through the Yelp reviews, you will see this is the MO of Mesa Plumbing and not a one time occurrence.
I urge you to find someone else, anyone else, to patronize as this company clearly is a disorganized outfit with little or no regard for their customer base. Fail! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

If I could rate them as a zero or negative I would. After being referred to Mesa by my inlaws who use Mesa for their house and multiple rentals, we thought we would try them for ourselves. My husband and I had an employee come by for a 2nd time to review an AC line he was going to move. He originally was supposed to stop by around 10:00am on Saturday to view the area again, but called around 3:00pm to say an emergency had occurred.
We understood and at 4:00 he showed up to look at the site. After looking around again, he said that he'd be able to come by on Sunday at 10:00am and the work would take 4 hours. We were thrilled. My husband and I waited all day for him to show up.he never did. No call, no warning, nothing. My husband called around noon to see where he was an it went straight to voice mail. It's now Tuesday and we still haven't had any notice of why he didn't show up. We will never be using Mesa again and have found another person to help with our issue. I would never reccomend them to anyone to use

I've used Mesa Plumbing for several years. They replaced my original old boiler with a new boiler/water heater in my old house and did a great job with what was a rather difficult installation. They replaced my hot water heater and humidifier on the furnace in my new house as well as replacing 2 toilets. I don't know how their prices compare to other plumbers, but they have always been very courteous and professional.
When I noticed that the tank on one of toilets was wobbly, one of their plumbers came out right away the same day to tighten it and, "while he was here" checked the other toilet, too, to make sure that one was ok. NO CHARGE for the call. I've been very please with them and will definitely call them the next time I need plumbing help.

My son kicked a ball into an outdoor pipe, that cracked the plastic molding and of course needed to be replaced. The Mesa tech came out, took one look at it, told me it was a bad design to begin with and I shouldn't scold my son. He repaired it and in fact improved it, taking out the cheaply done piece and replacing it with high quality piping. I'm sure it will last for years and I felt good about the entire transaction! Thanks Mesa Plumbing!

Called Mesa Plumbing to have furnace inspected because it was running but not heating. Was told it would be $44.50 to come out and look at it. When the arrived I was told it was $44.50 just for them to drive out and another $175 to troubleshoot. Bullshit! But, I need to get it fixed so I sucked it up and agreed. Was told that I had a bad "limit switch" and the part was $200. Looked it up online, THE PART WAS $12! Are you kidding me!
It is also only 2 small screws to change it. Ordered the part myself and put it in in 5 min. Still didn't fix the problem. So, not only are they dishonest about their pricing, ripping you off on parts, but they also can't troubleshoot a problem!

We used Mesa Plumbing to replace two hot water heaters in our duplex in 2007. At the time, we were unhappy to learn that they would only do the work at a "flat rate" based on what their book said the job would cost (as opposed to time and materials). They estimated that each job would take a half day and cost $700 for labor, plus $700 for the heater. (And we had two heaters, because it's a duplex, hence the final bill was $2800, total).
Imagine our surprise when the plumbers said they were done mid-way through the day! We felt ripped off, but at least the heaters were in, right?! We just decided not to use them again, and moved on. Fast forward to 2011. We are applying for energy efficiency rebates for some insulation work through Smart Regs. The insulation tech is required to test the hot water heater and furnace for combustable air leakage, before they tighten up the house further (don't want to trap carbon monoxide in the house, of course).
We are shocked to learn that BOTH hot water heaters FAIL the inspection! The draft diverters were not installed properly, and the units have been leaking fumes from inadequate combustion into the crawlspace for 7 years! So, not only were we overcharged, the work they did was shoddy. The energy efficiency inspector said, "no professional should do work like this." When we contacted Charlie (owner of Mesa), he very reluctantly agreed to come out and tinker with it.
It still did not pass. Because of this problem, we were unable to do the insulation work before the deadline, lost out on $1000 worth of rebates that have since expired, and now have to pay someone else to replace the heaters. And while he was in the crawlspace looking at the problem, he complained about how much he hated working in crawlspaces, and said that people who worked on our furnace probably didn't really do any work, they just "banged on some pipes" and called it good. Let's just say that our HVAC company did not appreciate this insult. I think it says more about how Charlie's business works than others, truthfully.

Like the cable company, but shadier. On the reccomendation of a home inspector, I called Mesa to have my furnace serviced. On the phone, they would not tell me how much it was going to cost. That's where I should have known better. I asked twice, and they said they didnt know. The guy shows up (an hour late), and after bareley glancing at my furnace, says "its gonna be $45 for the trip plus $175 FLAT RATE for the furnace cleaning- ya still want it?" Um, I already took the morning off work to wait for you. THEN he says my furnace needs "lots of work" there are broken peces and the "flame is yellow" (like that means anything to me).
How much to fix it? Wait! Shocking! He can't tell me until AFTER I agree to have it done! I've had these gys reccomended to me, but I was really dissapointed with them.
