I no longer have a home alarm system with this company and refuse to go with any other company after wasting 3 years of payments to this company. Honestly, you would be better off buying your own equipment and installing it yourself. My system starting having issues within 6 months of signing my contract. My DW Digital Watchdog app stopped working within a year and a half of my contract and they still weren't able to help resolve the issue, nor did they offer a refund.
They claimed it was my modem and directed me to contact my cable company for the remainder of my contract. This company charges for every product, monitoring and service calls during your 3 year contract. After your contract is up you can not effectively use the equipment you have paid for. You will no longer have access to the cameras from your phone.
These are things I wish I'd known beforehand. I was made to be believe that after purchasing the equipment I could use it after my contract was fulfilled. I now know that these alarm companies are complete scams.

NO SERVICE AFTER THE SALE! AVOID! I had this company install a 5G wireless alarm unit, because they were recommended by the city I live in. WHAT A MISTAKE! It took them 3 tries to get it installed, and when they finally did, it goes offline and has to be manually reset by them. Usually takes them weeks to show up. Save yourself the trouble, use someone else!

I have been with Hawk over 7 years and if could give them FAT -0- rating, I would!. First off, I am on Auto-Pay and have been for all of these years. Sometime ago, I was called by Hawk stating that our equipment would not work with the the new technology that was soon to come out. I told them that we needed our services to work at all times and he assured me that it was at No Cost for the upgrade.
After about 2 months I called Hawk and during the conversation with the Rep, I asked when was my contract up and at that point I learned that since I upgraded, it extended my contract for another 3 years! I was LIVID but there was nothing that I could do at that point! Ok fast forward, I was having issues with my system beeping so I called for a Tech to come out and check my equipment.
A few days later the Tech comes out and fix the issue. Before the Tech left, he stated that my system will stop working because of the new technology that was coming out (of course I've heard that statement before). I said oh ok, that sound great, what is the cost? The Tech said you won't have to pay anything, and that they will come out and do a Total Upgrade!
So then I said to him Yeah, but I'm sure that it will force me into another 3-4 year contract right?, The Tech said YES, BUT THEY TELL US NOT TO SAY THAT PART! What in the Tom Foolery is going on! (I thought in my head). I told him that is being Deceitful and that is not right and then told him that we will keep what we have until it stops working and then that when the problem will began. OK. so I received a invoice in the mail to pay for the services rendered and the Tech trip charge and the invoice showed the date that it was due by.
I mailed the check for the amount and when I looked into my account a few days later, I noticed that they had already Deducted that amount out of my account and the check had already been sent. THEY DOUBLED DIPPED! So I waited a week or so to see if they would send me something or even call me to say that they received my check and that they also deducted that same amount of my account (for the invoice).
They Never Did, so I called and asked why did they send me a bill with a due date and why did they deduct that same invoice amount out of my account with no authorization and cashed the check?. Shawonna (the Rep) stated that if you're on automatic draft, Hawk if going to automatically draft the money out of your account for any invoices. I then asked well why send me a bill with the amount with a due date that it most be paid by?
That question could not be answered. So I Fussed (not cussed) her out about that situation and then asked her when was my contract up. She gave me my end date and I told her that I would not be renewing my contract. She (Shawonna) then tells me that I needed to speak with someone in the resolution department to find out what my cancellation fee will be.

I also stated that they need to train their Techs to not deceive their customers by selling them a dream that will lock them into another LONG TERM CONTRACT! I have another 10 months with HAWK and it can't come soon enough. I have had enough already!

With the company for over 2 and a half year. We moved out of our home and the service was unable to be transferred to our stationary RV. The new owners did not want to take over the service either, so being 4 months away from contract expiration we had to pay $160 in cancellation fees. Two circumstances that are completely out of our control. We had every intention of going back to Hawk as soon as we purchased another home but knowing that this is how they take care of their customers after 2 and a half years, we will most definitely never recommend them or use them again.

HORRIBLE SERVICE! Cameras don't EVER work, but we signed a contract and had no choice but to keep paying. We moved during the last year of the contract I call to cancel and now they're saying contract won't end until another 3 years! When I called to "transfer" services NO ONE said anything about signing a NEW contract. I'm done with this company and they're horrible services. Michelle was super rude and absolutely no help! Don't waste your money.

SCAM! BEWARE before you sign a contract with them. I had burglary at the store. Not once, Twice in a night and their monitoring system FAILED to give me any alerts. I found out from COPS that someone broke into my store. When I talked to them, they had no explanation and never took any responsibilities. RATHER they try to sell me more equipment. CHRIS was my sales rep/manager and he is big LIE. NEVER RESPONDS and Always EXCUSES. ANYONE NEED A PROOF MESSAGE ME, I WILL FORWARD MY CONVERSATIONS.
Also they double charged and never refund me back. One of my sensor was bad and its been 3 months, they wouldn't come out to fix. Now I am trying to cancel my contract and they are sending me a huge bill to PAY. TOTALLY SAM. ALL THEY NEED IS YOUR MONEY. ONCE YOU ARE LOCKED IN, they dont care.

I've been with Hawk for 15 years. Since they switched to Alarm.com for monitoring, the level of service has decreased and the likelihood that you will be charged for services that used to be free have increased. The other day the technician (Steve, who is one of the only remaining positives of Hawk and the reason I stay) was upgrading my system, and had the systen in "test mode" to make sure things were functioning correctly, and the dumb dispatcher at Alarm.com dispatched the police to my house, resulting in a false alarm, so now I am praying that I don't get fined. I can't say the are the worst alarm company, but their level of customer service needs to get better!

So I had hawk set me up last year the worst security company! After the technician set me up the sales team signed me up with the worst credit company. If I'm ever just a few days late or something it goes against my credit the security team did that because they get a kick back it benefits them not me the customer! And they lied about the monthly payments!
And my camera system didn't even work the first 4 months I was paying on it. And a family member was living with me and I didn't realize she had issues and she stole my system. When I called hawk and asked if they would replace it they said No they don't cover third party Theft and I have paid on time every month I agree to three years and have to continue paying for two more years hawk is nooo good

I signed up with Hawk security in 2019 and I must say it was yet another poor decision on my part. from the moment I've had this P.O.S. System it hasn't worked properly. Word to the wise, their doorbell camera only works if it's cool outside and even then it's very delayed. I called a year ago to disable the stupid key fobs and I trusted that they disable them, found out this morning my spouse has been using them all along. Tried to cancel this service in many occasions but they won't without penalty even though their product doesn't even work! we had a strange guy standing at our front door and the camera finally recorded him as he was walking away!
No way to identify him at all. Complained to the BBB to try and get back up to help me get out of the contract, just a waste of time. If you are like me and care about your credit then you will be stuck paying for this horrible service, so a word to the wise Don't Sign Up!

Bryan Thompson from Hawk Services found a comparable plan to switch from my current provider to Hawk. The plan was very competitive and they offered a new customer discount. The technician came out to reprogram our main unit over to Hawk and to check each sensor. Bryan was Profesional and easy to work with. Highly recommend you to talk to Bryan to get you a quote!

Shortly after my review, a manager called and said they would drop my payment by $5 a month. (I requested out of the contact due to their deceit! But now I want out more than ever to be free of them!) GUESS WHAT! Today when my autopay went through -the monthly payment they promised to reduce has increased MORE from prior to my complaint on yelp! Shame in hawk security. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
They will drain you dry and increase your monthly payment in retaliation to your complaining! DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! They make promises and don't deliver! From the time I got talked I to a 3 year contract, I've had issue after issue. It's been a year now and I would love to go back to simply using my two Arlo cameras. My main issue is with the quality of cameras and doorbell camera they use. For one, they I stalled the doorbell but now it doesn't ring properly inside the house. This doorbell camera is nothing compared to Ring.
The two cameras outside seem to trigger over every tiny thing, no matter how much you adjust the sensitivity. Seems like a good thing until you become inundated with messages and recordings. If you ever change WiFi networks or even just the name of your current network, god forbid. The process to reconnect everything has to be the most complex, time consuming thing.
One would think all you would have to do is connect them back the same way you do with your phone, or tv, or computer.but not even close. Spare yourself the hassle and just purchase a Ring or Arlo or even Nest if you want cameras as well.

Have had this home alarm service for less then 40 days and nothing has worked like they said it would (false claims). Several attempts to fix it and no luck, we called today to cancel and they are telling me they have a "3 day cancellation period" that has expired so wanting me to pay over $500 dollars to get out of contract. READ the fine print--they also did not disclose we had to pay additional fees for electrical work at time of contract. So they will take advantage of senior citizens. BEWARE.

Horrible service billing and support team are rude. When you cancel services for their lack of being able to provide basic information such as billing and Security Certs for your insurance company they threaten you with additional fees cost and collection measures over the phone. Better to go with another company and or even go without.

When we signed up with Hawk our sales person told us that if we moved before the end of our three year contract we could cancel without penalty if we moved somewhere we could not transfer service. We moved to a rental after we sold our house and this has proved to be false. We have been hung up on 3 times by the Hawk resolution department and have experienced the WORST customer service of our lives.
This business is worse than fraud. We finally just paid a fee in order to stop dealing with this crooked company. The service we received from them wasn't really that great anyway.

I have had trouble for a few years with Hawk taking my check and not processing it for up to 3 weeks and then sending me a new bill with the last bill on top of the new one. I have gotten used to that but now I have been trying to cancel this service since December 2nd and have gotten nowhere. I have called 3 times and two of those times was dropped when I was transferred to the right department.
The one time I got through I was told to send an email to cancel. I have done this twice and got an automatic response@noreply and it still isn't cancelled. I have no idea how to cancel this short of contacting the BBB. Just let me go!

I have had Hawk Security Services for about 8 years now. The level of professionalism, customer service and friendliness is over the top! I have worked with so many different people at Hawk, due to moves, technical issues and orders. Each and every contact that I have made has been received and executed throughly and timely. After our system malfunctioned at 1am, my 2yr old son refused to sleep in his room, became terrified to go into any room in the house alone, started having nightmares and would wake up terrified in the middle of the night. He is now in therapy, a full year later still sleeping in my bed. Still unable to even go to the bathroom alone. Hawk refuses even a year later after us paying for an unused system to let us out of our contract, stating if we cancel we will have to pay $500. this is how much they care for their customers. I would caution anyone with small children that this could happen to you as well, and in the event it does. HAWK WILL DO NOTHING. THEY WANT THEIR MONEY REGARDLESS.

We recently moved to Dallas from DC and needed a security system for our new home. We had a bad experience with Urban Alarm in DC, and was very skeptical about home security companies. One of our neighbors recommended Hawk Security. I called a few others, but felt more comfortable with Hawk. So I scheduled an in home estimate. The day of our scheduled appointment Peter showed up.
He was on time, and very knowledgeable about securing our 7500 square foot home. He made great recommendations, without a bunch of upselling. The day of our installation went great! Mark the installer was very friendly, and hard working. He never complain about all the work, which took him 10 hours to perform. Once he was done, he patiently showed me how to work the system, which wasn't easy because I'm no Techie.
Later that day Peter called to make sure I was completely satisfied. Very rare, as it seems most places are done with you once they get paid. I even had to call Peter again a few weeks after installation with a question, and he got right back to me with an answer. Hawk Security did not only do a great job, but their attitude and customer service was excellent! I highly recommend them.

Received multiple unsolicited texts messages from them. Previously had never heard of them and never reached out to them in any way. Annoying and rude. If you choose to use these idiots you are encouraging their bad (and ILLEGAL) behavior. -I am already on the national do not call registry. -I have requested multiple times that they stop texting me. The only response I get from my requests is more info about their company.

Absolutely horrible customer service and way over priced! They can't resolve anything when you call and will tell they will call you back with the solution, which will never happen. We talked to a representative at the San Antonio Home Show who said he'd look into the issue and give us a call and guess what, no call.

I have been doing research on alarm companies due to a upcoming move to San Antonio. After looking into Hawk Security, I discovered that the only positive reviews were from employees of the company. I find this very offensive that they have to deceive Google, and consumers like myself who is simply trying to research quality alarm companies.
