Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, Value They built my fence that has literally fallen twice all the posts are split down the middle. They take forever to call back. Do NOT use them!

I'm normally one that doesn't do reviews but I can't let this one pass. I hired this company to do a board on board fence with 2 gates and wish I had went with another company now. Alice the owner is very nice, but I believe she has no control over her employees or how her company operates. This is my story. The crew was suppose to arrive on June 19th at 900 am, the time Alice stated, yet nobody showed until 1130 am. An hour later it began to rain for all of 5 minutes, but the guys decided to take a break and not return until 230 pm.

During this time I called Alice to see what was going on and she couldn't get ahold of her crew. That day they decided to work until around 6 and really got nothing accomplished. The next day was no different on the arrival time, however they did begin placing poles. It was around 1100pm when they decided they were done for the day and going to knock off.

Then on Friday the wife and I went to Savannah for the night and left around 1100 am and they still weren't here at that time. I later found out that my neighbor came out at 100am and told them to knock off and go before she called the cops for noise. She was tired of seeing them run back and forth to a van every 5 minutes and making noise that was upsetting her mentally disabled son.

Upon returning home the next day I found the job still not done and in my back yard I found a drug pipe on a stump. They were having a party at my house instead of working, and I'm dead set against illegal drugs anywhere near my house. Since then a total of 13 boards have split, which I understand as they dry they can. I've contacted Alice and she promised to have someone come repair them.

She said the same guy that did the install. this has been going on for the past 3 weeks and nothing. I've also found other flaws in the weedhead workmanship from lack of attention. The install I was told would only take 2 days, not 4+ like it did. Weather only would have affected 1 day. Her crew does what they want, not what you want done, or what you pay for. Run like hell from this company! I'm sorry I didn't and feel like I was screwed. It took this long because I was giving her the opportunity to make good on her word. RUN!

Used them about 2 weeks ago and I love my fence. I originally called and got a quote the end of last year and then I had to delay putting in my fence and they kept in touch with me until I was able to get a fence put in (needed to complete my backyard renovation). They worked me in pretty fast and made sure that I was happy with my fence. Alice was awesome and so friendly and let me know that I could call her if there were any future issues with my gate. Customer service and good workman ship, I recommend them to anyone!

My husband and I had a wood fence installed in our back yard by this company a year and a half ago. I was told that this wood was pressure treated and would last a long time. I was assured by Mike that this was quality wood. After just one year I already started to notice issues like crackes and wood rot. The fence posts are cracking too. So we called them and they came by today to look.

I showed them the cracks in the wood and wood rot around the fence. Every excuse in the book. That's normal, that type of wood does that, it's a knot in the wood. I was advised by them that the warranty for the wood is one year. They also stated that the quality of there wood was not there problem because they purchased it from somewhere else. So what did I learn?

That I spent 4300 dollars on a fence that started to rot and crack after one year due to the extremely poor quality of the wood. That once this company has your money you are on your own and they don't care about customer service or quality. Learn from my expensive experience from this company. They used low quality wood that will crack and rot after one year and they will do nothing to remedy the situation. Next stop BBB

Not a good experience with this company. I had them put in a fence and new gate following the hurricane. They said they were too busy to come see my project and had me submit pictures. I urged them multiple times to come and see my project. They installed a gate and fence that didn't match my current fence and gate. Once I asked them to fix it they made it seem like they were going to make it right. Then, they tried to sell me another gate for over $400. Use another company -I should have not trusted them without them seeing the project.

I bought some used 4x4 posts and was given a good deal and threw in an extra! Friendly service :

Men who placed fence were wonderful and extremely nice, but management was sub par. Workers showed up late the first day and then left after a few hours of work to "go to another job". The workers then returned at 5pm only to work until 8 pm and not finish. Workers came back the next day to finish and then had to charge me extra for concrete issue even though they were supposed to finish the previous day. Customer service from management was non existent once they received payment (deposit) for the job. Just go to Sunset Fencing. you get what you pay for. am I right?

I saw the review below about getting used fence posts and so I called and they had more used 4" X 4" X 8 ft posts. Very reasonably priced and friendly service. They let me choose which posts I wanted to buy. Can't beat that!

Alice the owner was very prompt to the estimate, but after receiving a down payment, the responsiveness stopped. On Friday the job was supposed to begin the contractor never showed, and I had to call to ask where they were. The job was rescheduled to begin on Monday and only the delivery of the materials and an hour or two of tear down happened. I had always to call to see where they were and what was going on.

I called to let the owner know that I was not happy and she came to my house and had a shouting match with the contractor causing all my neighbors to come out of their homes. Jax Fence Depot is the MOST unprofessional operation that I have had the displeasure of using. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Called the office various times and no one answered, so we took a drive there. No one was in the office, no phones being answered, and a paper on the door with a number. Called, set up an appointment for today and no one showed or called.

We had 4 appointments with Jax Fence Depot for the installation of our fence. The first two appointments were reschedule due to supply problems. The third appointment was rescheduled after the installer showed up 3 hours early and then left when we were not home. We were here at the actual appointment time and called to inform the company but we were rescheduled anyways.

The fourth appointment was for this morning at 9am. I called their office at 10 am and was told the truck was still at their office and could be here in another hour and a half. There was no explanation as to why they had such difficulty keeping appointment times. There have been no phone calls from management trying to deal with the situation, only emails rescheduling us to other days.

The month of January 2015, my husband had a fence installed by Jax Fence Depot. Well it started out very good the back yard is great but when it came to the front of the yard which is the most viewed. The front fence is terrible, I hate to look at it. We have asked them to come out and fix the gates they come out and patched it up, the wind blow the gate fly open, their fix was to put a bar on the outside of the fence and one on the inside which makes you a prisoner in your yard, also the gates are not level a gap between the two gates, it is a botched job.

They added a piece at the bottom of the uneven gate without our consent. The worst thing is We paid 4,800 for this jacked up job and they keep ignoring our calls. This company is not a company you can trust to keep their promise to satisfy the customer. The only thing I can think of to get my fence to be install correctly is to take them to court. If you plan on using them don't pay until you are completely satisfied.

I wouldn't even give them 1 star, lamar came to my home and measured my yard and my neighbors home for new fences he told us we would have a quote or an email with the cost of new fence well its been a month and still no quote from them.

Had to beg for the estimate after Lamar came to do the measurements. Still awaiting a final inspection after 3+ months. Many places the fence has no nails. Would've thought they would have had proper tools to do the job, but they didnt. More nails missed the wood and posts, than actually went in. This was supposed to be fixed but that doesnt seem like its going to happen. Wanted the fence stained but no one has ever set that up yet so I guess I'll just save that money. Wouldnt use them again or recommend them to anybody.

Unprofessional and do not keep their word. The sales man / estimator Lamar was the most polite and friendly person I've ever met. He took measurements of the project and promised he would call and email with the proposal in one hour. Well its the next day and many hours later. No call. No email.

Fantastic job! My new fence looks great and Joel and his crew were professional and timely. I highly recommend Jax Fence Depot!
