Teddy's Lawn & Landscape was established in 1996 by Brent Teddy. Starting mainly as a lawn maintenance business, by 1998 Teddy's Lawn & Landscape had transitioned into offering landscape installation services as well. In 1999 the company also started to grow its snow and ice management services. By 2002 Teddy's had multiple crews performing lawn & landscape maintenance as well as landscape design & installation services.
Now in 2016, we have full-time landscape designers and certified landscape technicians on staff, as well as a snow management team like no other in the business. Teddy's has always maintained its image as a family-owned, local southeast Michigan business and pride ourselves on being honest and professional.

Signed a contract with this company. After several calls they came out to mow and turn sprinklers on. I had also needed a spring cleanup that was not done. The lawn mowing was just ok. Edging not good. Today they called and said they would not be able to continue service because they didn't realize how far I was. Now I have no one. They gave me the name of another company but it doesn't exist.

We used Teddy's Lawn and Landscape to redo our front and backyard which included sod installation, landscaping, and installation of a water pipes system. From estimate to completion of work the team was extremely professional, available, on time and responsive to changing needs. They finished everything on time with a high quality work. They did not waste time and were very efficient. Totally recommended!

I called to schedule a lawn cutting service for this summer. Everything went smoothly, signed my contract via email and was told my first cut would be 8 days later either in Thursday or Friday. Called at 5pm on Friday asking if I was in fact on the day schedule. I was told I was but she would have to call me back. 8:18pm. No call back, no cut. I sure hope they are coming tomorrow.

We have an older brick colonial in Wayne, MI. We have been trying to find a landscaping firm that can give us a plan and do major work to add new curb appeal to the front and side yards. We finally went to the 2022 Home and Garden Show and stopped at Teddy's L& L very nice young man Rajai said he could help us and we set a date for home site appt of 5/5 8:30-9AM, well at 10:08AM I called their office explained the reason for my call and the young woman who answered said she would call Rajai if I could hold, she came back on the line and said he will call me.
He did call at 10:40 and said he asked how I was and I said a little disappointed as my husband and I have been waiting for him as he was to be here between 8:30-9AM he said he had us down for noon. I stated the business card he gave me had 5/5 @ 8:30/9AM. He said he was sorry and he doesn't know how that happened, and he will be here between 12/12:30 and apologized again.
Already one strike against this company. The story will continue after his visit this afternoon. Communication is key for good customer service so far not happy. Well I've given them two more stars because Rajai showed up about 12:45, was very apologetic and we had a very good appointment, we had a great discussion over what we wanted, our vision, our budget.
He took pictures, measurements our wants as far as types of trees, bushes etc. so far looking better. He stated that he will be getting back with us in about 2 weeks with 3D photos. Too be continued.

We had them come in and design the landscaping in the front and side yard. In addition they installed a trex deck and an entire outdoor kitchen grill. Almost everything they've done has completely had to be redone within 5 years. The deck was not secured correctly and is warping and separating. We have to pay someone over $1000 to fix this. I tried to have them come back multiple times and was totally ignored. The gas grill they installed was not done to code. I have someone here now that has to totally redo the gas line to get it to code. I wouldn't recommend them for anything!

We were pleased with the response and work from the irrigation system repair on our commercial property; and we are pleased with the resulting deck work done at our home. However what should have been completed in 2 days at our home was delayed for at least 2 months. Communication with the customer needs improvement. Service: Irrigation system repair & maintenance

Teddy's goes above and beyond to take care of their customers. The quality is fantastic and they are very responsive. I had about $100,000 in front and back yard landscaping done, including a new deck and stone work. I was constantly informed throughout the process and they assigned a personal manager as a point of contact for the whole project. Steve was excellent to work with and always ensured we were well taken care of.

I had teddy's come out to level ground to put up an intex pool. After I put the pool up and everything settled, the pool is now unlevel by 6 full inches. Initially I was told they would dig and then lay sand down. To my surprise, when they did the job all they did was lay down sand. I was told it was because it was "better" that way. When I called with my dissatisfaction I was told "You live and you learn" Would not recommend.

I had a brick paver patio installed by Teddy's in July 2019. I could not be happier with the quickness and quality of the patio installation. Within 2 weeks of finalizing the patio design, the material arrived and the crew started excavation. In 2.5 days, the patio was installed. The crew was very polite and professional. The owner was also onsite to oversee the project. Overall great experience and would recommend Teddy's to install your patio.

I coordinated the service when out of state and while they were quick to respond and able to provide service with a quick turnaround, I asked that they call when on site and provide a quote. They went ahead with service without giving me an estimate before approval. Was disappointed that I had to follow up to request pictures of the service, as well as overall cost was much more than I was expecting to pay.
My advice to Teddy's - please provide estimates and costs prior to service approval. The work you did was good, but the lack of communication and transparency on pricing leaves me feeling like I overpaid and wouldn't reccomend you to friends.

I had nothing but terrible experiences with this company. Every single person I've spoken to in the office has been rude - like, completely miserable. One of their mowers broke part of my neighbor's fence, which I saw immediately after they left and called right away. I canceled my account, and good thing I was home the following week because they showed up to cut my grass anyway.
I had to literally run outside and tell them not to cut the grass. I wasn't offered so much as an apology for breaking the fence but instead got a bill for a "double cut". When I called to report that a billing error had been made, the girl rattled off immediately that it's "in my contract" that I can be charged for a double cut if the grass is really long due to "excessive rain".
Even though they had been cutting my grass every week prior to that.and it's super convenient that after I canceled my account with them, that's when I was charged extra. I eventually paid it so I wouldn't have to talk to them ever again. That's how bad it is.

If I could give zero stars I would. I bought my home in October 2014. Former owners used Teddy's so I had them do first winterization. No problem. Fast forward to summer, when I needed help getting system started, no call back after at least three times. I attempted on my own to no avail. But I opened up water line so now it needs to be winterized.
I called tonight to schedule, and even after hearing how they didn't call me back this summer I was told they're done with blow outs for season. I told them I was getting rid of their card and she simply said, "ok.". How they are still in business is a mystery to me. Absolutely horrible and careless.
