After nearly two years of communication back and forth about a warranty claim(small pane)I am still looking through a window that has de-laminated. I am besides myself at the lack of any concern at all about this from the Amso Warranty Coordinator. When I ask to speak to anyone else I get directed to mailboxes that are full. This sooooo frustrating. Can anyone at AMSCO help?!

We purchased a home with Amsco windows put in by the developer in 2006. A year after purchase, two windows had to be replaced due to leaks. At the 8 year mark, the majority of the window seals had failed with condensation between the panes. We called one after another of their dealers for support and never received a call back. The lifetime warranty is non existent, don't buy based on this. These windows are terrible, stay away!

I specialize in flipping homes and Amsco has been my go-to window supplier for over 10 years now. I normally just order the regular white vinyl windows, but they also have the new black ones, as well as other types, styles, and colors. They build a great product and they're based right here in SLC, so everything is local!

My dad went here today to pick up windows for my brother in-law. Everybody was extremely rude. They all had terrible attitudes. Nobody could find any of his paperwork, and when they finally did he was rudely told to back his truck up for the windows to be loaded. He waited for someone to come load the windows as he was told to do. A younger guy came out and asked if my dad was waiting for the windows.
He said yes and the kid pointed at the windows and said "well here you go" and walked away. My dad loaded 7 windows by himself with broken ribs and a bad shoulder. I am furious to say the least. Terrible place. They won't be getting any more business from us.

Seriously, the worst windows manufacturer you can choose. They absolutely do not stand by their product. On first blush the windows which were installed by a local partner were okay there is nothing wrong with 80% of the windows, but I had a couple that developed issues with taping. Ever try to get Amsco to honor a warranty? Yeah not so much as it turns out.
After numerous phone calls, e-mails and so on the best I could get Amsco to do was try and negotiate with a local repairman on their behalf. Said repairman was not sure how he would be paid or this was so out of the ordinary he passed on the work. Amsco left me high and dry. When the day comes to replace windows, Amsco drops to the bottom of the list as I have learned my lesson.

We had a few quotes to do our basement windows. What stood out to us was the level of professionalism we got from Amsco windows. I liked that we shared what we wanted and they provided options. My wife and I never felt like we were up-sold, just given a better understanding of what would be best for our situation. The whole experience was like working with a family member you want to work with. I have no problem telling my neighbors who ask about my windows where I got them. I think anyone who is in the market should give Amsco Windows a call. I am glad we did.

In 2013 I rebuilt my home after loosing it in the 2011 Texas wildfires. This is a custom home with 30 windows ranging from 8' to 18''. I started to notice that my windows always looked dirty and cloudy. The reason was I had purchased a defective batch of AMSCO windows the gas inside the widows was bad. 44 pieces total, all in all about 85% of the glass was defective. David Allen an AMSCO rep came to my house and confirmed the defective glass. AMSCO is not willing to take any responsibility for replacing the glass they will only provide replacement glass under warranty.
This leaves me with a total cost of $ 7,300 to pay for having my defective glass replaced! If I were to rate the quality of the windows excluding the fact that they were mostly defective I would rate them a 6 out of 10 mostly for the difficulty of opening and closing them. I would not recommend these windows to anyone and will not be giving AMSCO any more of my business. I

Terrible quality. We were unfortunate enough to purchase a home with AMSCO windows installed when it was built in 2008 and more than half of our windows no longer close properly and AMSCO only honors their "lifetime warranty" if the home is never sold. If you want windows that will last more than 11 years without expensive repairs, avoid AMSCO like the plague.

I had the chance to tour their facility and see how they make their windows. I was very impressed by their technology, their attention to detail and the finished products. I have noticed that a lot of times once a window leaves a manufacturer's facility, these windows can end up in one of a couple places. They can end up in the hands of a qualified installer who understands how to properly measure and install windows and in those cases it is rare that things ever fail.
On the other hand, you could send the same window to a poor quality installer and get considerably different outcomes. In fact, I would venture to say that it is likely that most of the complaints people have about bad windows is really rooted in a bad installation. I mean, think about it- If I played golf and I stink at it, using Tiger Wood's clubs would not make me a pro! Likewise, if you give me the best golf clubs in the world and give Tiger a rental set, he'd still spank me on the course. (Most bad golfers blame the clubs.
It's not the club, it's you, Buddy!) I guess what I am saying is that when people have a complaint about their windows you need to cut some slack to the window manufacturer before you bash them. It could very well be a bad installation. How do I know this? I sell and install windows for a living. Our company installs over 6,000 windows each year. We get at least 3 or 4 people calling us every day who had a bad window installation and are asking if we can fix it for them.
It is almost always the installer and rarely the window. Some people may disagree with me and I can respect that. All I am saying is that it's really easy to ruin a good window if you are a bad installer and I know that Amsco makes good windows because we install about 100 of them each week! Just my $.02.

We were highly dissatisfied with the job done by Amsco. We live in an apartment in Logan and without receiving any notice that they were coming in the first place, we came home to an overturned apartment. Whoever did the installation did a horrible job. They shoved anything and everything they could out of the way and didn't even attempt to put it back how it was, just left it.
The windows have finger prints and residue from stickers as well as parts of stickers all over them. I was very unimpressed with the company and wouldn't recommend or trust them with another job. I highly recommend another company.

Let me explain. I am in Denver. I have had Amsco windows for 12 years. I have 3 the sliders have fallen out, 4 the latches but most important one window cracked. I have called 4 companies that sell Amsco none have returned my call. I have called Amsco 3 different times to find out what to do since they are based in UT. All I get is another name of another company that won't call back. I will go with someone more dependable.

I moved into and apartments building in Pasadena, Ca., and the apartment has Amsco windows. I had a problem with the windows and I called Hardy Windows since they installed the windows originally. Dale Swanson was extremely helpful in resolving the locking issue and it turned out to be just a minor adjustment.

I absolutely love my AMSCO windows! Being from Europe the only kind of windows that would make me happy I found at AMSCO. I worked very closely with Andrew at Solar Window and Door, Inc and found him to be very knowledgeable about their products. My windows turned out beautifully, the difference in the noise reduction in my house is incredible and they make my home so much more comfortable both summer and winter. The installers at Solar Window were very proficient and did an amazing job. I couldn't be happier with my AMSCO windows purchased from Solar Window.
