AC Installation
Report
It's almost a given that, during those hot summer months in and around Indianapolis, a large chunk of that hefty electric bill is going to go towards powering your home air conditioner. As your air conditioning system gets older, it loses efficiency and may not cool your home as well or as quickly as it once did, which in the end costs you more every month.

We replaced the air handler unit inside our home due to a small leak they detected and erosion discovered inside the unit itself. And since we have used Airtron to perform our bi-annual maintenance, we received a couple of quotes and decided to go with them. Unfortunately, The technicians didn't show much care for our home. They didn't clean up debris left behind on the floors and on top of our washer/dryer.
They left a dirt mark on an area rug (one that is dry clean only) and they scuffed up the wall and chipped off some drywall at ceiling while removing the old unit! I understand some things are unavoidable when removing large equipment but cleaning up your mess should be part of the cost (just over $3,200) especially when we are trusting there will be good workmanship from a company we have used for many years!
We also have a curious cat who likes shiny objects so when I see foiled and plastic debris on the floor that doesn't sit well with me. Last thing we were not happy with was how they had left the front door to the house open maybe 3-4 inches while coming and going. Now maybe the door didn't catch all the way when they shut it or maybe the wind blew it open - I just wish they would have closed the door securely because flies made it into the house and it was near 100 degrees outside to begin with.

The technician showed up for our HVAC system inspection and was very polite and professional initially. The technician met with me after he completed his tune up / inspection of my system and informed me that he found a leak within my evaporator coil and my system was not cooling efficiently giving it 3 out of a 15 and only cooling about 15 degrees from the outside temperature.
This was concerning because this part was replaced approximately 3 years ago by Airtron, and now it is defective yet again. When I began asking more questions regarding why the equipment was defective again the technician contacted his supervisor Brent. Brent stated that my equipment was out of warranty and did not provide the proper information to his technician regarding how much it would cost to replace the part.
When I asked the technician, he shrugged his shoulders and stated probably around $2,000. Then the technician asked me several times if I wanted to speak to a salesman about getting a "new more efficient system" I declined and the technician left. I immediately contacted the call center and requested to speak with Brent regarding the service call.
I have called twice in the last week with no follow up. I did some research on the Lennox HVAC system in my residence and found that there was a class action lawsuit against Lennox for the evaporator coil being known to be defective. Specifically, the coil is made of copper and corrodes very easily and the part should have been coated to reduce this issue. Additionally, my equipment was replaced after the class action lawsuit settlement so I question if my evaporator coil was replaced with another known defective coil.
The problem is nobody from Airtron will call me back regarding the issue. This absolutely leads me to believe that have knowledge that the equipment was potentially defective when the "repaired" my HVAC system.

Justin Hart performed maintenance service on our Airtron A/C and Amana gas furnace. He worked diligently and competently, replaced a filter, and advised us on its proper replacement schedule. He is clearly conscientious, and it was a pleasure to have him do this work. Services:A/C system maintenance, Heating system maintenance

This company is horrible! They installed our heat and air in our new home 2.5 yrs ago and we had a leak in an elbow that caused damage to the ceiling. I called them 2 or 3 times to come fix it but was told they don't service our area because we are outside of Indy. I had to pay a total of $380 for another local company to fix it. Still have to fix the ceiling now.
If I could give a 0 rating I would. The installers are worse than students and the whole company is a disgrace. Can't stand behind their work because they take the money and run! PATHETIC!

Scam artists. First they charge you $89 to come to your home. Then they say the item you need is hard to find but with a FEW PHONE CALLS they mysteriously find it. Then it cost $200 but only to find out online it really cost $22 so they charge you over $350 for something that cost $22 + labor around.
