I called Royalty Roofing to come give me a quote to fix a leaking roof on an old metal garage. The garage is pretty old and not in the best of shape. Chris came out and looked it over. Said he could remove the old roofing tar up there, and apply a new sealant. Said it would be under $2,000 if he had to rent the lift, and around $1,000 if I rented the lift.
He said he would get me the quote by Monday. I called Tuesday when the quote never showed up. He apologized, said he was sick, and would get it to me later in the day. When the quote showed up it was for $4,397.00 and it was for removing all the roofing panels and installing new roofing panels. An option we never talked about. When I emailed Chris he said, " When I went through it with production he did not feel the other would last.
And he did not want to do something that would not last. If you want to do it the other way a product called poly bond is what you need. You can get it at most roofing supply stores." He wasn't even pretending he was interested in talking about the first proposal and that line pretty much sums it up. Go do it yourself. Not only will I not recommend this company, I will go out of my way to make sure I tell everyone I know not to use them.
