Michael was on time for my appointment and was able to fix my situation in no time. It was good to see the owner of the company come out and actually interact with the customers and it was also good to support a local business. He was very knowledgeable about what issues I had and what needed to be resolved. I'd had a negative experience with someone from their company ( who is no longer with them per Michael), and he was very apologetic about that experience, and this went a long way to restoring my confidence. While probably not the cheapest out there, I will definitely keep them as my company to use because of the quality of the work done.

Michael from Optimum came out on time and the appointment was easy to make too. I thought I had a dead capacitor. Turns out my motor was just stuck. After checking everything all I got charged for was the visit. No pressure sales. No questionable broken parts. Did exactly what was needed and nothing more. Enjoying my cool room

We were assigned Optimum Air by our Home Warranty company and it has been nothing but awful. Our tech, Stephen, who is inexperienced is SO nice and apologetic. However, it has now been a week that we have been without AC and I am not happy. Originally, Stephen said that our motor went out, so he had to order a new part and said that he'd be back the next day.
They didn't schedule him, so he came the day after he said he would. When he got there, he realized that the new motor didn't include a mount. which, he'd also have to order. So he comes back Monday morning with a mount for the new motor but he couldn't figure out how to re-wire it and had another tech come help him. At that point, they realized that he/they fried the board and that it would take 1-7 days to come in after ordering it. ONE TO SEVEN DAYS IN TEXAS "FALL". The office has not been apologetic at all for sending an inexperienced tech.

I had two issues with my Electric heat/AC unit, and it was pretty cold a few days ago. I'm trying to self-diagnose the issue, but had no luck. I went to go buy portable heaters from Lowe's which brought a little comfort. I saw this company "Optimum Air" a few times on my search and there were quite a few reviews. I'm normally drawn by the comments and reviews and I decided to give them a try.
I called made an appointment and everything was professional. I even received a text confirming my appointment that day and later that day I received another text showing, "Michael from Optimum Air Co. its on the way." And it came with a link to track their arrival along with a photo of the person. This was really professional and loved the promptness.
The tracker showed that his ETA is 2:03, which is right on time, and he came, right on time. I must say, Mike is very friendly, professional, and answered all my questions. The issue I was having was no power to the unit, and before then, the fan didn't turn off at all. He fixed both. He wired something, and showed before of the issue and showed me actually what he was doing.
I was so pleased by the professionalism, that I requested a quote to replace my entire furnace and a/c, because I knew that eventually it will need to be replaced. I highly recommend them and I definitely trust their service. They weren't trying to be pushy and sell me anything or sell me a new unit. He just came, did his job, answered questions, smiled, friendly, and then left.

Called around 4p when I noticed the AC wasn't working and they were out by 5p and my air was working by 7p! I admit I don't know anything about ACs and I don't know anything about repair costs so I don't know if I paid a fair price or not but during summer in Texas, it was worth it and I couldn't believe the quick turn around. If you're in a bind, I recommend giving them a call.

I bought a house that had black mold all over the AC unit. So looking around a cane to Rob. He came right out and put in a new air/ heating unit. He was fast, efficient, friendly. Hard workers. I have had a few questions and always answers right away or gets back with you fast. I would truly recommend this company. Thank you Rob.

Been with Optimum Air for over 6 years. First 1-2 years was good, every since, nothing short of awful. Tens and tens of phone calls to get an appointment, cancelled appointments in Optimum's side, lying over and over, not honest about work performed, they do not have the customers best interests in mind - instead they want to do as little work as possible for the most money and then not own up to it when labor/parts fail - please stay away from Optimum Air - there are plenty of other HVAC companies that are more reputable in the DFW area.

Well Matthew, I see that is has been 10 months since you reviewed Optium and Robert and what is crazy is that I just experienced the same thing! I could have just copied and pasted your review in here and said "ditto". He insulted us and most importantly misdiagnosed our issue. He was unprofessional and incompetent. Sadly for Optium he represents their "brand" and it is awful. Highly recommend consumers in need of HVAC help to steer clear of this company. Giving them 1 Star is gracious and too many.

Our AC system crapped out again and our service guy/ electrician was AMAZING! His name is Michael Walker, and he was not only professional but answered every question we had. He did a great job talking us through our options, and how long our options we chose to "fix" our HVAC system would last us so we would be able to plan ahead. PLEASE REQUEST THIS GENTLEMAN or ASK FOR HIM! He is as good as it gets!

We had a Freon leak in our new system and Mike came out to diagnose it and fix it I was really happy with the service I received from him and they were really honest and do great work. If I have problems in the future I will definitely use Mike again he was real Pleasant to work with and did great work

We placed an order with our warranty company for service. Our air conditioner went out and it was 90 degrees out and we have an infant son. Robert came out promptly, was very friendly and helpful. Due to our problem, he had to come back the next day to complete the repair. He went over and above with his work ethic, explanation of the problem, and customer service. We would definitely recommend Robert and Optimum Air.

I have had a problem with my cooling coils on my old AC unit since last year so I decided to call a few companies to get a quote for coil replacement and complete unit replacement. Optimum Air came out to give me an estimate the same day and they were the first of four companies I had called. Mike gave it a quick look since I already knew the coils needed to be replaced.
He priced me all my options quickly and I decided didn't make sense to keep dropping money into a 19 year old unit. We settled on a unit and they were out the next day to install it. Three very polite young men were on time and started right away. Couple of hours and the unit in the attic and the compressor out back were replaced and the old unit hauled away. They cleaned up after themselves well and I have nothing but praises for my experience with Optimum Air Co. Great deal, quick and professional service. Happy as can be.

The absolute nicest man came out to my home yesterday to fix my heat that was not working downstairs, his name is Joel. Joel was just awesome, and he got me up and running. He was like my little guardian Angel, I am so glad that I stumbled across this company and the great reviews I saw on YELP, they definitely do not disappoint.

If you want a reliable and friendly HVAC company in your home please give a shout out to Optimum Air. We are in the roofing, remodeling and siding industry and have worked with multiple HVAC companies. I can't tell you how refreshing it is to work with another company THAT CALLS YOU BEFORE THEY ARRIVE and makes sure you are satisfied with the work they have done before they leave.
Their attention to detail by cleaning up the area where they worked, while maintaining a happy outlook in a HOT attic surpasses all other companies. Again, many thanks to Mike and his excellent customer service!

Called Optimum Air after a bad experience using our warranty company and put AC not getting fixed. Mike came out and found the TXV valve needed to be replaced. They came back the next day and replaced it but couldn't get the AC to work. After hours of working on our unit, it was decided, the TXV valve out of the box was bad and the needed to get a new one. Mike came back the next day with a new TXV valve and got the unit up and running. I would recommend this company to my family and friends because of their professionalism, their concern for their customers and providing the very best service.

Updated review from summer 2018 - updated star rating from 5 star to a 1 star. Here's why. After using this company for six years including tens of thousands of dollars of work, we now can't get them out for simple service calls or to provide and be honest about warranties for products they installed we're now having issues with - very shady company - stay away!
They even went AJ far as to install bottom of the line parts and components in places we the homeowner couldn't see or know to look all while charging us for LENNOX brand equip and parts. 12 phone calls and 10 promised appointments later they final showed for our service caIl and it was a waste of time - avoid this company at all costs. Original review from 2012/2013 - I've used Optimum Air Co. twice now, one time two years ago, and the latest time just a few days ago.

Soooo Quiet! Very pleased with the installation and performance of our new heat pump system. When we bought the house 15 years ago the air noise in the house was really loud. Over the years we got used to it, automatically turning up music or the surround sound whenever the old heat pump turned on. The new Goodman unit is so quiet we can't hear it running.
Temperature is rock steady but we keep standing on chairs to make sure air is coming out of the vents. The unit outside is very quiet too. This will make make our Summer evenings at the pool much more peaceful. Thanks for Michael and install team leader Jose for a great job on the install. They were fast, efficient and very personable. One team member cleaned up the install areas after and even vacuumed the few dust bits that came out of vents during the install. We are looking forward to major savings on energy usage with the new 16 seer unit. I strongly recommend Optimum Air. SG

AC went out over the weekend. Called them Sunday night and they had a service tech at my house by 930 am on Monday. Austin was my Service Tech and he did an incredible job. My unit was frozen, he waited patiently for it thaw so he could clean it and check it. My unit needed a new part he immediately was able to order and get a new part within 1hr. By 2pm the job was complete And by 3pm my house was cooled down to a comfortable 78 degrees. Again A plus service from a great AC company.

Our heater stopped working in the middle of the night. My husband and I woke up to a house that was a mere 58 degrees! Austin from Optimum Air arrived and fix our heater with ease. Now we are warm and cozy without worrying about freezing in the winter months. We definitely will call them in the future if the need arises. We were very impressed with Optimum Air's professionalism, hard work and impeccable customer service.
