Remarkable Refinishing has been family owned and operated since 1985 by Mark and Michele Limeberger, who appreciate fine furniture and cherish family tradition. Their son Travis also joined the team in 2011. Mark started in a wood shop out of high school and loved working with his hands. He began by doing pieces of furniture for family and friends in his garage.Ultimately, he grew out of his garage and moved to a 19,000 square foot warehouse. The rest is history. Remarkable Refinishing are Northern California specialists in antique restoration and refinishing. The business can refinish or repair kitchens, staircases, pianos, mantels, furniture.

Sometimes all your antique needs is to be restored rather than refinished. If the finish isn't breaking down, we can clean and neutralize the piece to maintain the integrity of your item. We can also add color if needed and spray a compatible finish over the top of the item. There hasn't been an antique we couldn't save.
Remodeling

We do complete demo for kitchens and bathrooms. We tear down existing flooring, cabinets and countertops. Additionally, we can provide electrical and plumbing work as required. We are not limited to residential and can do commercial properties as well. Not sure if you need a complete remodel? You can always update the look, style or color of your cabinets with new doors and drawers.

We provide a full service shop that will hand strip, sand, repair, stain/paint and finish your piece of furniture or cabinets. We use conversion varnish, pre-catalyzed lacquer, glazes and stains to provide the best finish for you.

I cannot tell you enough how wonderful these folks are! We had the best experience with Mark and his wife throughout the entire experience. Mark turned a lemon of an ordeal into lemonade and made it look easy! I can't thank him enough for restoring my baby, my 1960 credenza that was damaged by movers. It now looks like nothing ever happened to it.
They are professional, friendly, and do exactly what they say they will do. If I ever need any furniture restored I'm so thankful I know who to call, Remarkable Refinishing! Thank you all so much for going above and beyond when needed!

Remarkable Refinishing did a BEAUTIFUL job repairing the damage from hand sanitizer that was placed on my antique table.darn Covid! The owner and his wife were extremely professional and kind. They told me it would take one month to repair my table and it only took two weeks! Their customer service was excellent! I would recommend this company hands-down!

I wanted to thank the team at Remarkable Furniture Restoration. We had them refinish a solid wood ornate sleigh king bed that had been painted over in white latex. It came out incredibly beautiful. Worth Every Penny - Exceeded Expectations! I highly recommend you hire them to do the job! I trusted Remarkable Refinishing to restore my family's heirloom - 150 yr old walnut dining table. The entire process was easy, smooth and fast. From quote to pickup to delivery. When I first reviewed their quote, I thought it was a little high. After doing some research on the company I was more comfortable, given their reputation (35 years in bus.) I moved forward.
Upon receiving the dining table ( 3 leaf's and 6 chairs) sooner than expected, I think they may have under charged me! The finished product exceeded all my expectations (and they were lofty). The stain was exactly what we asked for, and the repairs they did make the table seem brand new. The table is 150+ years old, and they restored all its glory, plus some (higher quality stain available today).

The best customer service I have ever experienced. Very knowledgeable and professional. I had a bedroom set refinished that I inherited from my grandmother. I don't think it looked this good when it was purchased originally. My grandmother is no longer with us. I know she would love the work they did.

We took an antique oak table in to be refinished and were dazzled by the transformation. This is a family owned business and they really are very knowledgeable about wood and refinishing. I had used the table for my kids to paint, playdo, craft, and glitter on it for years but you could never tell it had been so beat up. The wood was repaired and refinished. It is a beautiful piece of furniture now. The folks here are also very nice and helpful. I highly recommend this business.

I own an antique secretary, and for months I was unable to find anyone who was either willing or equipped to repair a faulty piece. I was referred to "Mark" at Remarkable Refinishings by two separate Hardware stores in the Sacramento area. I could not be happier with both him and his family's customer service, as well as the quality of his repairs.
They are fair and frank in their price estimates and their timeline. Quality takes time, however, and if you can have patience, "quality" is what you can expect from Mark and his family at Remarkable Refinishings.
