Scammers Incompetent unable to perform solar install never connected- after a year - the job they contracted for couldn't finish the job but took me to court and put a lien on my house and never finish the job would not respond when I make appointments would not call back would not fix the problem but they want me to spend money in court and fight them and they never ever finish the job

4 years ago Tim and his crew put a new roof on our house. He made many recommendations and they were all spot on. He and his crew were meticulous down to the smallest detail. They fixed a leak in the garage that had been there for a long time, and no other roofer was able to fix. The roof and gutters look great! His crew was professional and very polite.

He went above and beyond on this repair, which made us very happy! Early last month my wife accidentally backed into the side of the garage and took out 2-3' of drywall and siding, on the front and side, and demolished the garage door beyond repair. Luckily she wasn't hurt. First person I called was Tim. He came out the next day and gave me an estimate.

I tried to get a few more bids, but only 2 companies responded and said they couldn't start for 6-10 weeks. About a week later I got an estimated repair cost from my insurance company, and it was less than $100 off of Tim's estimate! You need lots of experience to make such an accurate estimate! Tim said since it would only take 3 days he could squeeze me in, and started 17 days after the accident.

He worked with Jordan, also a very nice man and a very hard-worker. They finished ahead of schedule, and everything was done to perfection. And that included ripping out some 24 wide heavy heavy duty homemade shelving, which was there when we moved in. We had a garage door and railings installed the next day without a hitch, as Tim had lined everything up exactly as needed. Gutters were installed 2 days later. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Nor Cal recently installed solar panels on my home in Yuba City and we couldn't be happier. I got a lot of bids, got a lot of misinformation and clumsy attempts to hustle me, but from our first meeting Tim was honest and straightforward. I knew exactly what they were offering and what I would pay for it. I decided to go with them because I trusted him.

My trust was well placed. Heather communicated with me every step of the way to keep me posted on the project and schedule the installation. Gene and his crew of installers were punctual, courteous and clean. Every job has a few problems that emerge during the installation and this was no exception, but Gene explained everything carefully and found good solutions to keep the process moving.

When the building inspector came, he took one look at the electrical panels, smiled and signed off. Nothing to see here folks, just clean, professional work. Heather coordinated the hookup with PGE without a hitch. Now we are making more electricity than we can use and PGE is paying us for the extra! Solar is great. Highly recommended.

An extra special shout out to Tim and the excellent team that came to install solar on the house and replace two windows last week. The guys were top notch in experience, attitude, respectfulness, kindness and humor! They dealt with humidity, wind and answered all our questions for two days without complaining and did it with a smile. A better crew could not be found; we would have no problem using them again. You can't go wrong with Nor Cal Home Improvements!

Tim handled our remodel after we had a flood in our kitchen/laundry area. He was great working with our insurance provider to justify the work that needed to be done. Tim cares about doing quality work and it shows in the results. Any issues that arise during the project were handled diligently and we are over the moon with our new kitchen. I recently had an office remodel project done by Nor Cal Home Improvements. This was my first time working with them and they had good recommendations. The reason I chose them to do my re-build is because he was the only contractor that showed up when he said he would, called when he said he would, did exactly what he said he was going to do, was very professional and easy to work with.

He took into account that I had a business to run and he was very respectful of my time. He made the process very easy and was a good price on top of all that. I will call him again when the time comes, and I would recommend him to anyone.

At my invitation, Timothy Larson the President of Norcal Home Improvements just came to my house to provide a cost estimate for several home improvement projects. He did nothing but bitch and moan about the City of Davis building inspection programs and was extremely unpleasant. He seemed uninformed about a number of building-related topics and was so rude to me that I asked him to leave. I wouldn't hire this company if you "held a gun to my head" after this negative experience!

Tim Larson came to my house to show me the various patio canopies available. He was very knowledgeable and had allot of good ideas. I finally agreed on the type of patio that I would have them install. Tim's crew was prompt and professional. The installation only took 1 day and the results were amazing. All debries were picked up and the finished product was ready to use.

Thanks Tim! I now have a nice shaded patio where I can now use in the afternoon, without the sun beating down on me. It really makes a difference in the house as well, by shading the back slider.

Tim and crew have done several projects for me and the family. It started with windows 7 years ago. The installation, price, and attention to detail was second to none. Talk about a person who stands behind their work, I called him back to do more for us this year and keep in mind, he did our windows 7 years ago, he saw we had a leak and a warped slider.

Both problems were not of his doing and we had been reaching out to the manufacturer of the slider to no avail, Tim contacted them and had a new door installed before we hired him or he new the scope of our next project! Unheard of! Then went and personally inspected all windows to check the seal and see if there was dry rot. I've never experienced that in dealing with contractors after they are paid.

On to our new project, we asked for quotes on solar, a patio cover, insulation, garage doors, outdoor kitchen remodel and concrete stain. Not only was he professional in getting us his quotes in a timely fashion, his quotes were less than other contractors who have done work for us in the past. Impossible for me to say no to a person who has demonstrated what other contractors use as a catch phrase. "we stand behind our work" means something to Tim Larson and his crew.

So after my home being completely done as described above, my in-laws have had Tim do their garage storage units (hand made wood, imagine kitchen cabinets), a bathroom, i have had three different friends use him for solar, fire pits, windows, entertainment area, etc. I think the world of this company and certainly wish all were like him. If so, we wouldn't need platforms like this. Call Tim!

I had just recently contracted Tim and his crew to do an install of a patio cover and replace a sliding door that was a daily feat of strength to open and close. During the whole process, from estimate to completion, Tim and his team were professional and very accommodating to our situation. I had recently had artificial grass put in the backyard, and they were very careful to make sure that all of it was covered during their work and cleaned the workspace thoroughly to ensure my children would be safe running around barefoot after the job was done.

What started out as a patio cover install turned into a massive dry rot repair job as well, after the teardown of the existing cover. After the discovery of the dry rot Tim came over and did a reassessment of the situation. He was very upfront with me regarding the additional repair work that needed to be done, while also doing his best to keep my costs down to not nickel and dime me.

The work added another day and a half to the project and they did not skimp at all on the quality that was expected. The repairs, sliding door, and the patio cover turned out beautiful and couldn't have asked for more. If you have any household jobs that need to be done, make them one of your calls. They are a respectable company and they will not do you wrong.

Nor Cal Home Improvements is a high-quality outfit. Tim Larson, Nor Cal's founder and President, bends over backwards for his clients (no easy feat -- Tim is a big dude) and will spend as much time with you as needed, in order to make sure you're satisfied. Tim's guys are unfailingly polite, professional, and detail oriented. I've recommended Nor Cal to friends and business associates alike.

It is my pleasure to write this "thumbs up" review. My family has used Nor Cal for everything from house-wide window and sliding door replacement to bathroom flooring to a master suite remodel to a garage-to-house conversion.

Tim and his crew at Nor Cal Home Improvement replaced my roof and repaired extensive dry rot damage. They did an amazing job, they were fast and still provided the detail and quality as if they were working on their own home. They actually provided improvements that were not in the scope and they did it within the original quote. They provided quality workmanship and materials they really went above and beyond to do a top notch job for a very reasonable price. My sister used them for a remodel and they did a great job for her.

Nor Cal installed a Solar Electric system on my home. From start to finish the communication and workmanship were first class! This company is extremely professional! All the workers are properly trained, and always under the supervision of competent Crew Chiefs Everything was done exactly according to schedule, clean up was great which these days is rare.

This is one of the best experiences I have ever had with contractors doing work at my home. I highly recommend their services! Can't wait to start enjoying FREE electricity!

I needed my closet remodeled. I also had them remove the TV cubby hole in the living room. This allowed the space to make the custom made closet twice as big. They did a fantastic job! I appreciated the professional work. They did the work within the estimated time and matched all the texture and paint colors perfectly. They even came back two weeks later to fix something I had messed up while I put in the laminate flooring at no additional charge! who does that? Great work! They really went the extra mile.
