Company promised that they would be able to install AC in 3 weeks, unfortunately, it was delayed to 5 weeks due to "delayed components that they were waiting on". The install job, once they had all of the parts, was very sloppy and it didn't work. When I complained, they did come out the next day and redo the work to a much higher quality, which I was glad for, but it still was not as clean of an install as I would have liked, though everything did work. Jody, who owns the company I believe, is good guy and was nice to work with, but my experience with Rose was not the best. Granted, all of this happened during a massive heatwave the summer of 2021, so I'm sure they were being run a little ragged due to the high demand.

Rose Heating is incredibly responsive and willing to deal with my HVAC troubles. I thought my basement leak was from the HVAC system and they came out multiple times to try to trouble shoot. It didn't end up being from the HVAC system but they were patient and understanding of my problem and explained how the system works with easy to understand details. I will recommend them to everyone! Thank you!

Replaced my furnace and did a GREAT job. Rented the house out and about 8 months later the sump went out (not their fault) and the ceiling started to leak. My tenants let me know ASAP but I was out of town. I called Rose on a Sunday. They immediately called me back and sent one of their guys straight over. on a Sunday, valentines day, in a major Portland ice storm! TEN STARS!

Called and asked for services to have mold removed from the air conditioners Rose Heating installed themselves. was told to call their separate duct cleaners recommendations. when asked why they knowingly install air cleaners that develop mold that they wont back a guarantee and remove, Katrina at reception hung up on me. great to know they sell you an inferior product that will make people sick when you can not remedy the issue yourself when mold cant not be accessed without professional help. what a "great" product. thanks katrina!

Wish I would have called Rose Heating and cooling first. (ANOTHER COMPANY came out after making me wait a week, and then took 4 more days to give me a quote. A family recommended "Rose Heating and cooling" so I decided to get a 2nd opinion ). Boy am I glad. The first company misdiagnosed and was going to cost me 500$. Rose Heating had my A.C. fixed in 20 minutes for only 150$ Thanx Jody for being quick and honest. You made a customer for life and saved me $$$

Last Monday night, our furnace broke. It happened during last week's cold snap, when it stayed below 30 degrees for four days. A company with less integrity might have overcharged me--I was at their mercy, my family huddled around space heaters, and it would have been easy to simply say "it's a 20-year-old furnace and you have to replace the blower fan, motor, and module".
But Rose Heating is a company of integrity. Dave came out Tuesday morning and diagnosed the problem as a bad motor and/or module. He also noticed some rust around the base of the furnace and made a note to check the secondary heat exchanger. I got a call from Katrina within an hour of Dave leaving our house. She was ordering both blower motor parts, and Jody would come out to make the repairs the next day.
It turned out that only the module was bad, so that's the only part they charged us for. Jody also confirmed that the heat exchanger was fine--it had been replaced before we bought the house. Two days, three employees, one replacement part. The Rose Heating folks were clear, kind, and knowledgeable at every point of contact. It was heart-warming as well as house-warming.

There is definitely something to be said about family-owned businesses that have been around for a very long time. Rose Heating, not to be confused with Rose City Heating. It's been 5 years, through my own neglectfulness, since I've had Rose City heating out to maintenance my gas furnace. How surprised was I to find the same gentleman that service me in the first place was there for my appointment today!
Who I came to find out he's no other than Dave the owner. The visit was very personable, professional and believe it or not enjoyable. Dave shared some important information to me which I am very appreciative of. From the first phone call to Katrina his daughter, who answers the phone and was very personable and helpful, through Dave's visit to maintenance my furnace, a partnership is built.

First, do not confuse Rose Heating Co. with Rose City Heating, the former has been in business much longer and also has better reviews. They regularly service our furnace and tankless water heater. Each time I take away a new knowledge nugget. For example, Jim the technician explained how and when to use the damper knobs on the vents that terminate at the registers. They are always ON TIME, courteous, and friendly. I have no reservations about leaving them unsupervised in my home.

Our heater was intermittently working and finally went out when it snowed around 2/21/18. We called a few places in NoPo, left messages, and Rose City was the first call back and for us in. Everyone else had next-day service, they offered same-day. Dave (I think) came out but wasn't able to diagnose what was happening. However, he fixed it by doing an annual maintenance (e.g. changing the filter, cleaning out the condensation pump, etc) and charged us the regular fee of ~$139.
Then it went out again in a day or two. We called them back, he came out, correctly diagnosed that it was the pressure switch and left saying he'd see if he could find the part. I anticipated he would call back in a day or two, and that it would be expensive. So I went online to see if I could find the part and DIY instructions. I found what I sought and was about to order the part (for only $16!) when Dave knocked.
It took him an hour or two to find the part in Tigard! Then he fixed it in less than hour an only charged us $30 for the part. I'm not sure if the service was included but regardless it was very reasonable. Dave was friendly, seasoned, not a salesman, answered all my questions, was trustworthy, etc. The whole experience left me feeling trusting of Rose Heating. We will be back!

Wish I could be writing a positive review, but unfortunately rose heating wasn't able to complete the service call I request. I was given a two hour time window for my appointment. I was patient and waiting an additional hour for the technician to show up. After some back and forth phone tag and to make a long story short, the next availability was a week out.
We can't afford to be without heat for another week, so we are going to have to try another option. I could be a rare circumstance, but given that I called the phone number listed on yelp 5 times, and received a voicemail 4 of the 5 times goes to show that these guys might need to get a better grip on organization and timely service calls. Wish you all the best with Rose heating.

Our heating system went out on Sunday. We called another company that told my husband, who was able to troubleshoot the problem, that we probably needed a whole new unit. I thought that was a stretch when they hadn't even seen the unit! The following morning I called a couple of places that had decent reviews but couldn't get out to us until Wednesday.
We didn't want to be cold for two more days so I called Rose Heating. The woman who answered the phone was polite and said they could come out the same day. She took the part number off the part my husband suspected needed replacing. Not only was the repairman on time but he brought out the correct part, replaced it, cleaned the filter, checked everything else out and had it up and running in less than an hour.
Total cost was $248, included part ($144) and labor ($104)! The other "reputable" company quoted my husband $5,000 for a new unit. I think we made the right choice! I wouldn't hesitate recommending this company for a second!

I had the best experience with Rose Heating. Our furnace motor went out last week the first day it started snowing. I called Rose Heating that same day and they sent someone out to look at it within 2 hours. Since the motor was broken, they had to order a part which took 2 days to ship. Someone came out to fix it in this terrible, snowy weather the same day the part arrived.
He was super friendly, and the nicest guy ever and got my furnace and heater back working in less than an hour. I would recommend Rose Heating to anyone, they are dedicated and trustworthy. Thank you Rose Heating!

Rose Heating just installed an outside AC unit for my NE Portland townhouse. From start to finish simply outstanding--very competitive pricing, terrific workmanship (Jodi is a craftsman who expertise on everything HVAC-related astounds), superb customer service (Katrina at the Rose Heating office was great to work with). On his first visit Jodi explained everything to me--how the external AC connected to the furnace in my attic: What issues might occur, as my home was pre-plumbed for AC but all the lines were inside the walls (none did); how he would install a triple fail safe system to guard against any overflow in the attic, and more.
For the installation he arrived right on time, worked quietly and left everything clean. He finished in a day and a half, and the Carrier AC works great. I can't recommend this company--family-owned and operated since the 1950s--more highly. I will use them for any HVAC servicing/repair I need and encourage my friends (and Yelp-ers) to do the same. I got three bids before choosing Rose Heating from highly-rated companies, and I know I made the right decision,

These guys rock. Over the last two weeks I've had six companies come out to bid on a new furnace and AC system. This was after I was told by the first one that the AC was shot and the furnace should be replaced too. Rose Heating was the first where the person that came out was an actual technician, not a salesman. He is also the only one to open up the cooling coil, test the pressure and freon in the compressor and actually turn the system on.
After a little freon boost, my AC is finally working again but I think I'll still upgrade to a new system, but it doesn't have to right at this moment like the other guys indicated. To top it off, the cost of a new system was considerably lower than all the others. In one case, 5K lower. I must say, I'm impressed.

Cheers to Rose Heating! We wanted to have our furnace cleaned/serviced so we called the company who did it before. Once again, excellent service. Not only did we get a quick response on the phone, but we got an appointment very quickly, and Jody was prompt, courteous and totally professional. He did a wonderful job not only on the service itself but spent time with me to help me understand what we can do take better care of our furnace and its performance. To top it off, the rate for the service was completely respectable. Thanks Rose Heating! We'll call you when we need these services again.

I first encountered Rose Heating when I purchased my home. At that point, they had been servicing the 25 year old heat pump it's entire life and so I called them for a health check (something seemed off, it never really heated or cooled). As it turned out, it was near the end of it's life and they recommended a replacement. They did an excellent job with recommending a new Carrier Infinity system.
They bid everything on site and provided reasons for the equipment specified/sized and the benefits of the system. That was 7 years ago, and I've had my system serviced by them ever since. Their work was very professional and I was so impressed, I welcomed them back to run some natural gas piping for me. Again, the work was amazing. Unfortunately my AC unit on the "new" (7 year old) furnace died.
They not only reminded about the 10 year warranty my system had, they litterally had someone there the next day. I've never been disappointed by them and highly recommend them to anyone needing any HVAC work. Everyone I have met has been experienced, professional and VERY detailed. One side note. Do not confuse Rose Heating with Rose City Heating. Two different companies and I was fooled for a moment when looking up their service information. Just be mindful :-)
