I can't say enough good things about Dustin and the work he did on our floors. He took two floors of three different species of wood that had been badly damaged by a previous owner (dog pee stains, several bad gouges from past botched attempts at sanding, deep grooves from dragged furniture), and made it look pristine. Even that wasn't as impressive as how professional Dustin was through the whole process.

He responded promptly to every question I emailed him, updated the quote up or down as the project changed, and helped me make informed decisions about what finishes to use. When we were ripping out some floating vinyl plank flooring to potentially refinish or replace the wood floor underneath, he stopped before ripping out the boards to make sure that I understood that this would damage the vinyl floor, and made sure I wanted to proceed- I really appreciated that he took the time to check with me before doing something irreversible. He's careful with his floors, careful with his clients, and does outstanding work.

We had Rhodes Hardwood sand and refinish the floors throughout our house (living room, dining room, two bedrooms, two closets and a hallway). They did a fantastic job! The floors look incredible! Dustin was great to work with and always prompt to reply to questions. In the 34 years we have been in our house we have worked with many contractors, and many of them were very good, but Dustin was the best. Honest, thoughtful and dependable. From scheduling through completion it was a smooth process. I very highly recommend Rhodes Hardwood.

Just stop looking for a hardwood floor contractor and hire Rhodes! I have had a number of different hardwood floor contractors do work for me and Rhodes hands down is the best. They rescued a botched job from another contractor on our upper level and installed the main floor with rift & quartered white oak. They then finished both floors with Rubio Monocoat. Dustin and Cody made it easy!

I spent countless hours prior to learning about them trying to figure out what the finish was on pictures online so that I could tell the other contractor what finish I'd like. But, Dustin and Cody told me to just send them a few photos and they would tell me what it is and match it. They provided great samples which made it easy to select the finish my wife and I both liked.

My project was also on a tight schedule and they worked with me and with the taper on the job site so that everyone could keep moving forward. These guys are HARDWOOD FLOOR ROCKSTARS! We absolutely love the floors! I can't stop looking at them! : You guys came on time, you did what you said you were going to do, and you all were fun to work with! Plus, you didn't leave the place a dust bowl!

Rhodes Hardwood is the best. Cody took on our 70-year-old white oak floors and brought them back to life with Rubio Monocoat. His team also installed hardwood in our kitchen, and the transition from new to old is seamless. Our floors are absolutely stunning, and they're silky smooth. The entire process, from bidding to trim work, was stellar: timely communication, reliable scheduling, and, above all, expert advice and installation.

We recently used the services of Rhodes Hardwood Flooring to sand and refinish our floors. We couldn't have been more pleased! My family owned a Design/Build firm the last 20 years and we have been into thousands of homes doing everything from remodeling kitchens and baths to building homes. In addition to always doing the best job we could, we also knew that to keep the customer happy, we had to be there when we said we'd be, always communicate, and leave their home clean.

If we didn't, we'd hear about it! Now we were able to experience what it was like to be the homeowner and have people into our home. Everything went as planned. We were kept in the loop by Dustin, the owner, and Chris, who came out to work on our floors. We expected our home to get all dusty from sanding and we were quite surprised to find there was hardly any dust left.

And when the project was finished, our floors were absolutely beautiful. When redoing your hardwood floors, there are a lot of decision to be made, such as water or oil based, sheen, stain, brands, etc. We would read reviews online and get more confused. Chris did a great job educating us on the options and making his recommendations. We also liked the fact that Chris has been with Rhodes for around 6 years.

We have used Rhodes twice and would highly recommend them. 4 years ago we had oak flooring installed in our kitchen and recently we had Rhodes refinish the main floor of our new house. Both engagements were top notch. Dustin, the owner, is very focused on the customer experience and goes to great lengths to makes sure customers are satisfied. In our case, for our refinish project, we reviewed numerous color samples and when we still weren't sure, his team applied two different colors to our actual floor as samples - which was very helpful.

In the end, the floors are stunning and we couldn't be happier. A word of advice, since Rhodes is very reputable and has been doing great work for many years, there is a lead time to schedule their services. I would recommend getting on their schedule as soon as you know your timeline.

My husband and I could not find a reputable hardwood flooring technician for our cabin in Duluth so a friend referred us to Rhodes. The guys really worked to help us choose which type of flooring would be most suitable to our needs. The installation was professional and the installers were respectful of our living space. An overall excellent experience!

Rhodes did an amazing job re-sanding and finishing my grandmothers hardwood floors. The restoration process can be super expensive but their pricing was competitive and the finished product was astonishing. From the initial consultation to the final day of work, every worker was pleasant to deal with. They were eager to answer our questions at all times.

We hired Rhodes to refinish the floors in the upstairs of our new house -- including two bedrooms that had painted floors -- and we were so happy with the results we brought them back to do the first floor. They were flexible in working around our schedules and even came back (for free) to touch up a spot on the main floor that we had scratched while moving the couch back into its place. I would recommend them to people looking to refinish their hardwood floors.
