A-1 Fence

A tree limb fell down and damaged a section of our fence. We contacted A-1 to get it repaired. Their office was great to work with, they promptly set us up for a consultation. A few days later they came out and inspected the area, and gave us an estimate for the work. We accepted their estimate and booked an appointment for the repair work. They came out on time on the appointment day, finished by days end, and did a fantastic job. We are very satisfied with the work, and expect to return to A-1 in the future for our fence related needs.

Professional, efficient, Quality and craftmanship. High level of customer service. Don't ever look beyond A-1 for fence needs. They're the best!

When a storm took down a huge limb from the tree in our backyard, which in turn took down the fence between our house and our neighbor, not only did A-1 Fence Company come thru for me with a low bid, but they went above and beyond to get our fence back up within days. DAYS.! This is after telling me that they had 3-months of work scheduled out already!

I recently contacted A-1 Fence to get a quote to replace an old leaning fence. They responded within a day, and when I approved it they gave me a work start day. The crew showed up right on time, and in 2 days we had a completely new fence and gate. I can't say enough good things about this company! They answer the phone; they have answers to questions, and they are very pleasant and professional to deal with. We love our new fence!

This is the second time we've used A-1 Fence Company and we're just as happy this time as last. It took awhile to get the job done but it was worth the wait. The fences look amazing. We have working with A-1 for years. We use them on every commercial construction job we have and I continue to use them for my own personal residence. Our fence was blown down during a storm a few months ago. I contacted Nanette who is always a pleasure to work with. Matt came out and gave me an estimate and I didn't even bother to get another quote since I know how great their work is.

I was told it would be 10 weeks since they were so busy. Nanette told me they will try to squeeze me in earlier if possible. I only had to wait 4 weeks before I received the call that they had an opening and can come the next day. Hooray! Fence was fixed in four hours! They were in an out so quick. My fence looks amazing. I highly recommend A-1 for all your fencing needs.

Their quote was very reasonable relative to the other 3 estimates I received from other reputable 4+ star fencers here on Yelp. We were very impressed with how fast and efficient their 2 person crew was with our new fence, and of course the quality of the work. From the old fence demo to final inspection was less than 3 hours.

We highly recommend A-1 Fence for your fence project. We had a pleasant experience from start to finish that included planning, estimation, scheduling and ultimately, installation. Everyone at A-1 Fence were courteous, professional and easy to work with. As with any jobs, there are always the unknown that requires ingenuity that only comes with experience.

Our fence and gate had to be adjusted to accommodate our uneven driveway. It looks better than planned and you would have never known that it wasn't. The only downside is that they are very busy and you may have to wait a couple of months. Well worth the wait!

We've been meaning to replace our termite-ridden fence for two years now. We got quotes from a number of places, and A-1 came in competitively. We decided to go with them over a general contractor because their rates were lower, they had fantastic testimonials, and they're a local company that's been around for a long time. They were extremely patient as we made our decision, which I appreciate.

The crew worked quickly, were respectful, and completed their work within 1.5 days. They did a great job cleaning up their work. The fence looks great and we're kicking ourselves for waiting so long. My only quibble is that you're going to wait: they'll call a few days ahead of the inspection for a quote, and then give you a general estimate of where you'll be after you sign the contract.

In our case, after signing in mid-December, they estimated "mid-February, " and that was spot-on, as they started on Feb 15. I will say that it was worth the wait and we're extremely happy with the results, as are our neighbors (one of whom is a retired union carpenter -- he was very impressed with the crew's work). We'd recommend A-1 to anybody in the Bay Area.

A-1 fencing, Big shout out to Matt, George and Nanette! Honest pricing and solid construction. This fence and retaining wall will last a long time! The previous fence was built just before we moved in 6 years ago. They previous contractor picked the wrong post material and the wood rotted right at the ground line. A-1 new fence order built to last. 4x6 fence posts, retaining wall posts between each fence post and fresh fence planks from the mill. George was the lead man on sight and the team didn't waste any time getting to work. So impressed with the work and definitely recommend them for any of your fencing needs.

It took us a while to get a date for our fence replacement since they are so busy, but once we did our fence was built in a day! Critical: Professionalism This fence was purchased by my neighbor. In order install the fence my yard had to be accessed. While the fence looks fine, the laborers left a mess of my back yard. When they started work, they agreed to put things back and not leave it in disarray. I would not recommend this company. Very unprofessional. Service: Wood fence installation

My property backs up to a public parking lot. Over the decades, trash has built up behind the original fence causing it to bow out and become unstable. A-1 saved the day by tearing down my old fence and building a beautiful, sturdier new one all in just one day. They were able to accommodate all my needs, especially with the speed of the project. I look out my window every morning and just am in awe of my new fence!

Matt (the owner) was very focused and easily reachable to discuss our concerns & needs along with the best design for us. We used him before we sold our home and it helped bring property value up! Would highly recommend them!

These guys are worth the wait! During the time of Covid, since everyone is working on house projects, it took about 2 to 3 weeks for Adrian to come out to give an estimate. The estimate was very reasonable reasonable considering the final end product. We waited about 2 months for someone to come out to do the work, but I must say IT IS WELL WORTH THE WAIT!

Our neighbor did not wait, and you can definitely tell the difference in the workmanship. The fence is BEAUTIFUL, and we are just so in love with it! I highly recommend A-1. Nanette, in particular was a pleasure to work with. My advice: If you are going to bother getting a fence put in, you want it to last. And if you want it to last, you know you will be looking at it for a VERY long time.

You definitely don't want to be looking at something that is aesthetically unpleasing. I recommend waiting for these guys to do the work because the job is solid, it's a pleasure to look at and you won't be kicking yourself for the next 2-3 decades that you didn't wait. I have a very large retaining wall and fence that A-1 Fence built for me. The work is so structurally sound, I am sure it will last for many years; plus, aesthetically, it makes my whole back yard look like a different place! My neighbor wanted to use their landscaper. So happy I went with a licensed fence contractor.

This small, family business team and their crew are true artists! I had my traditional San Francisco Sunset neighborhood backyard fence replaced and my backyard was transformed into an oasis for my two pups and I! I have high expectations for pretty much everything, and this team exceeded my expectations. Communicating with Nanette and Matt during the estimate process was a dream.

The day-of crew were kind, respectful, courteous, and trustworthy (they were at my house alone one day when I had to go to the eye doctor).
