Your air conditioner is a hard worker, especially during the hot Florida summer season when it is used at a maximum capacity. Wanted to take my wife and dad up flying for the first time and so I contacted Coastal Air about renting one of their Piper Cherokee 180s. From calling and speaking with Katie to book to flying with Blake on my check out, it was an awesome experience. Blake was great to fly with, and anyone who is looking to learn how to fly, I would highly recommend.
Also met Joel, who was really friendly and helpful. Upon returning back from the flight with my dad and wife, we were greeted by the owner, Ryan. Awesome guy, super friendly and asked us how our experience was. All around great establishment, will definitely be back to rent again! Can't speak to the actual flight school portion, but judging on my experience with them today, I would not hesitate to say that this would be a top notch place to learn to fly. N15190 was a great aircraft, really enjoyed it.
I would challenge you to find a better and more well equipped aircraft for $140 an hour than this one! Groton is a great field to fly out of, too. Very chill Class D airport with awesome controllers. Hats off to Coastal Air and KGON, great place to fly!

They completely scammed my elderly uncle. My uncle had a 3 yr old Trane AC unit installed and maintained by Home-Tech. Coastal called my uncle, led him to believe they were his AC company, scheduled an appointment to come out. When they got there, they told him his unit did not work and had to be replaced. The existing 3 yr old unit had a big Home-Tech sticker on it with the install date of Sept 2015 and the Home-Tech contact info for anyone to call w issues. There was also a permit on file at Sarasota county for the Sept 2015 install. They charged him $5884. We are fighting them now and filing a complaint w police.

This company called my sister offering a $39.95 summer tune up. Thinking she probably needed it she scheduled an appointment. Instead of a tech showing up a scam salesman with little knowledge came. Fortunately my sister called me and I spoke with the scammer on the phone about all the numerous problems. First the unit was 13 years old, it was running hot pulling 6.7 amps when it should be 3.1, the unit was rusted and in poor shape and wouldn't last much longer.
Bottom line, it was not worth putting another dime in it. They were running a sale for $800 off and could install a new unit for $3880.00 plus labor and materials and tax. I told him we would get a second opinion and he left. The unit was running fine before he got there but when he left it was no longer cooling! Had to get a Saturday service call from another company. This company came and did a complete inspection and found this 5 year old unit to be in good condition. The only issue was low Freon which I suspect was drained by scammer.

AVOID THIS COMPANY! They sent out a salesman who was supposed to be an A/C tech to find out why my whole house A/C wouldn't cool. This guy looked around a little bit and saw that my refrigeration lines ran under the concrete slab and said, "Right there's your problem." He said lines that were run under the slab in this area are notorious for leaking.
He didn't test for any other leaks. (It turned out that the leak was in the evaporator coil, and the company later came back after the new refrigerant lines (which they ran through my attic) were installed at a charge of $1700. The evaporator coil was under warranty, so they replaced it at no additional charge from Carrier since they had screwed up on the unnecessary new refrigerant lines.
But the new lines cost me $1700 and the evaporator coil labor was less than 2 hours of work. I figure I got screwed out of about $1200. The manager said that both the refrigerant lines and the evaporator coil had been bad, but that was AFTER the lines had been replaced and had not changed the operation of the A/C unit. My questions are, "First, if the lines were bad, how did the tech KNOW and (2) what are the chances that the lines and the evaporator coil BOTH go bad at the same time?" I have been told that in about 99% of the cases where there is a refrigerant leak it is NOT---NOT--the refrigerant lines.
If you read all the reviews on this company you soon see that they go out with the primary aim of selling homeowners things they don't need by condemning their equipment. I marvel that they are have been able to stay in business. If they tell you you need any new equipment, be very skeptical and get a second opinion before proceding.

Service after the sale and installation needs improvement. I have called twice, only to be told, the service tech will call me. So far no phone call. The air filter element was not installed at installation. I've requested size so I can go and purchase, but return call has been received. People in neighborhood has asked if I knew of a reputable a/C service. As it stands now, I would not recommend Coastal Air &Heating.

Here I am, sitting at 83 degrees F, with my brand new Coastal Air $6200 system that doesn't work, told them 2 days ago it was yet again broken (the 5th time in 6 months). If you look at Angies list, you see nothing but Fs. These guys are as horrible as it comes, in the way that horrible can only happen in Florida. Snarky bitchy office help and completely clueless technical help, backed by horrible ownership.
