Report
Drain cleaning is never a service you expect to need. Whether you rely on household products, or are simply a responsible drain-user, it can seem odd when drain problems do creep up. The reality is, however, that proper drain maintenance is essential to the life of your home or office's plumbing system.

Every business get complaints about its restrooms at one point or another: The sinks overflow, the toilets back up, or the urinals need unclogging. The people using your facilities, whether they are workers or customers, often take restroom access and the accompanying fixtures for granted. But they don't come cheap-and they're certainly not immune from problems.

Had a shower leak emergency over memorial day and called bunch of places. Fisk-it was the only one responsive and were able to come out and fix our shower leak. Found out that our main shut off was causing issues and came back the next day to replace it. Gilbert was quick, communicative and thorough. Will be using Fisk-it for my needs moving forward.

Abel and this company will take the time to do it right. They aren't there to make a quick dollar. They come just to make sure everything is ok. I cancelled an appointment because I was able to figure it out on my own. Abel still showed up to say hey and double check for a larger problem. Didn't even charge me. This is the type of business worth supporting.

Today Ray, a field manager, and Gustavo, his assistant, finished a two-day job at our house, replacing some galvanized waste pipe and a great deal of original (1940) gas piping. They were professional, cordial, and cheerful, even though both had to go under the house into a very low crawl space. Each time they came out covered with dirt. The relit pilot of the wall heater sounds much better - we should have known that something was wrong. We have used Fisk-it for many years, and been completely satisfied.

Fisk it continues to be the best Plummer's. We had a problem today on a Sunday. Raymond came in no time. He is patient, kind and thorough. He assessed the situation and then did the job. He took his time and now we are well taken care of. We are long time customers of Fisk It and highly recommend them for the great job they do and the very fair prices.

Had done business with them and recommended them for over 30 years. Yesterday they had to replace a water heater they installed 4 years ago! Last year called them to clean out 2 bathroom sink drains. Charged $280. Two months ago had to call another plumber for the exact same service. Charged $60. The original Fisk-It owned by Steve Fiske has not been in business for several years.
I was so outraged about the water heater that the technician did warrant this for 6 years. Cost $1,100 for a 4 year old water heater they installed. Asked to speak to owner and got the runaround. NEVER will I EVER use them again.

Only one star because I had to leave something. They are awful. Messed up, flooded my hallway, turned on the gas without capping valves and sprayed gas into the garage. STAY AWAY. I decided to not listen and go with them and that was a mistake. I'm not an avid reviewer but they certainly made it important to warn everyone else.

You would do well to NEVER use these people. I just purchased a home in which Fisk-It recently (late 2013) did a giant plumbing job on insurance contract for the previous owner. Their invoice clearly states the scope of work to be performed; complete replacement of old cast iron drain lines with new ABS; and all galvanized to be replaced with copper piping.
This job cost the owner (a trusting 80 year old widow) just under $10,000. We had two complete inspections done on the property prior to purchase. The first one yielded numerous plumbing and piping issues which we couldn't believe, despite photographic evidence, based on the previous owners' report and detailed receipts. (she kept everything) So, we called a 2nd company to come out and video tape all of the lines. Result: 30% galvanized pipe remaining and 60% of the old cast iron drains are still there / were never so-much-as touched. Repeated phone calls to Fisk-It, answered by CSRs with the promise of a call back, have not materialized.
Possibly because they think, as the new owner, I have no leg to stand on. I can't imagine anything worse than taking advantage of a helpless old widow who trusted them - and paid them well - to do honest work.

My bathroom sink had been draining slowly for at least a month. I figured i'd out wait my husband in calling a plumber, but when I got back form church today, the sink was still draining. I had to give in. I called two other companies that either couldn't come on a Sunday, or wanted to charge double for a Sunday visit. Then I saw a commercial for Ritz).
Two hours later Alex and Brian came from Fisk It (an affiliate of RItz). At first they tried and couldn't clear the clog. Since my plumbing is from the 1930s, I knew it would take more effort and told them so. I was not interested in paying for hydrojetting which would cost about $450 and wasn't willing to spend another day with a slow drain.
No worries, Alex and Brian kept at it until they were able to clear the sludge after all. The cost was only $125 and with my coupon, i got it for only $75! I'd recommend these guys any time,

This is the worst company! stay far away from them. They charged us $500.00 to do a video of our pipes and then wanted another $200.00 for the DVD! They were very aggressive and PUSHY. We then hired a different plumber for a second estimate and they charged us only $100.00 for the video and GAVE us the DVD. Fiskit wanted $5K for the work and then other plumber $1,500. We are attempting to get our money back and will ask our credit card company to deny the charge. THey are DISHONEST.

Dear Customers, Stay away from this company or Ritz. A close source told me that an employee of Fisk it by the name "Oscar" will try sale you 3 times what the job is worth ( guy is hispanic and can hardly speak English). He also sticks roots on peoples pipe to sell the job. Do not call this company & and if you do try getting a second opinion. Dont just stick to this company because they are known to being "Shady".

SO disappointed! I have used Fisk-It MANY times over the past 15 years and they used to be a very reliable and honest company. A few years ago, their service seemed to change and sure enough, they are under new management. Still wanting to stay loyal, I called them for a stopped up sink. No one showed up during the two hour window but when they finally did, they told me that I needed to Hydro jet the sink - a cost of over $600!
They said snaking it wouldn't work - the clog was too bad. Thinking this seemed a bit suspicious, I called another plumber, Legit Plumging, and guess what - within 15 minutes the sink was fine and has been fine for two weeks since. And the cost? $80. I will NEVER use Fisk-it again. They are either clueless or dishonest and in either case, I would not recommend them to anyone. Such a shame.

I had a clogged sewer link so called these guys. They came out, worked for a while, then told me the main sewer pipe had "collapsed" under the street, which would have to be dug up to replace it. They showed me "proof" by snaking a camera up the sewer to the broken spot, where everything went black. They said they would be back the next day with an estimate, but warned me that with permits and the city closing the street, it would be around $14,000.
I called another plumber, Morganized Plumbing (five star), who came out the next day and snaked the sewer out for $157, which included an extra charge for coming on the weekend. While Mr. Morgan was working, the Fisk-it truck pulled up to deliver my estimate. When they saw Morgan, they drove off and did not send me a bill. I subsequently talked to someone in the plumbing business who speculated that Fisk-it plumbers were possibly salesmen working on commission. I heartily recommend Morganized (http://www.yelp.com/biz/morganized-plumbing-los-angeles#hrid:Xr0E5Ji-CbJytCpCWMvjmQ) and would not go near Fisk-It.

I wish I had checked Yelp before calling our longtime plumber Fisk -it again. It has changed owners and they charged me $240 to install a disposal I had purchased, which I consider ridiculous for one hour's work! The entire bill was $420 and they tried to up-sell me on a $625 job to hydro-clean my drain. When I complained they reduced the bill to $300. I will never use them again.

I have used this company twice in the last several weeks. Both times I called, the person who answered the phone was very friendly and helpful. They sent someone on the same day. TWICE. The guys came and fixed both problems right away. The prices were also reasonable. I always use yelp and did in the case of trying to find a plumber. However, I called (3) plumbers with very high ratings and all were booked up and could not come on the same day. This company did, twice, and I was very grateful - so I thought it warrented a good review.

New owners, new plumbers, new billing. I will never use them again. They were "my plumber" for many years, but no more. They bill by the job, not the hour.well what does that mean? They are not surgeons. They lost my business, sad for me, they don't care. Would not adjust their bill that was 4 x higher then normal. $420.00 to fix a bath drip.please. Then they had to come back again because they did not even check their work, and it was worse So bad. Do yourself a favor, call someone else.

I became a Fisk-It customer back in 1995, when it was owned by Steve Fisk. Yesterday was the last day that I will ever use them. Their prices have gone through the roof, and everything they have touched since they have been under new ownership has required second and third visits just to repair the damage they have caused. And they actually charge full price to come back and fix what they have broken! Yesterday, I came home to find my garage flooding from a leak that had sprung where they had hooked up a new water heater last month.
Rather than accept responsibility, however, they charged me double time for the guy to come out and put a temporary clamp on it so that I could then call and have someone come back today (and charge me again) to actually fix it. Needless to say, I'm calling a different plumber to complete the job.
