***4 YEAR UPDATE, August, 2021*** We have now had the solar system for over 4 years. Our solar system continues to over produce above initial estimates and we continue to have no problems with the system! ***3 YEAR UPDATE, September, 2020*** For the third year in a row our system over produced above initial estimates. Covid is doing a lot of damage but at least it can't put a damper on our clean energy production! Also, we continue to have no problems with the system, it continues to work perfectly!

When starting my solar project, I got estimates from 6 different Tucson solar companies. I did my research. First, I was impressed to learn that the owner of Customer Solar, Jeff Shoemaker, served on the Southern Arizona Regional Solar Partnership committee. This shows his personal dedication to the solar field. Jeff has been in the solar business more than most, so he has lots of experience.

He runs a small family business, which I like to support in our community. During the estimate process, Custom Solar was professional, knowledgeable and flexible with my project needs. For example, they went the extra step of installing the inverter in my garage, at my request, even though it required extra work. They did not charge me extra for this.

When Custom Solar came to do the work, everyone on their crew was great. We did run into a couple minor hiccups but they were resolved to my satisfaction immediately. As for price, I doubt you will find a better price than Custom Solar, in addition to their high quality work. I could not find a better price in all of Tucson, believe me, I tried! Our HOA wanted to heat our pool and gas was going to be very costly with moving the meter and other plumbing issues. We contacted CS&L and they gave a very fair bid, installed everything quickly and in a professional manner. They followed up and have worked with us on small problems. We are satisfied with their work, their integrity and reasonable response time and warranty. Oh yes, the members are enjoying the pool longer and we have no gas bill.

I'd been considering going solar ever since moving to Tucson a few years ago and finally decided to take that plunge. I'd interviewed three companies and chose Custom Solar and Leisure. They have been professional, reliable and personable. The installers were very respectful of my property and my pets, which I appreciate. Jeff, the owner, has been amazingly patient with all of my questions.

Got a large 14kw system installed and couldn't be happier with the finished product. Very clean install. Jeff and his team were great to work with. We had one issue and they quickly took care of it. Better price and better product than 5 other quotes.

We had a water leak in our pool solar heating panel. It was 105 degrees out and everyone needed work done. However, we were having the grandkids in for a visit who really wanted pool time. Jeff put us on his schedule for a week out even though he was overbooked with work. He came out before the grandkids came and promptly and efficiently repaired the leak and corrected settings on my pool pump to the solar unit.

He explained everything he did so I could understand it. Kudo's to Jeff for his friendly, efficient and knowledgeable service! I would not hesitate to use him again or highly recommend Jeff's services.

I can't say enough good things about Custom Solar and Leisure. My overall experience was really great. The installers were reliable and very professional. The owner Jeff, is very knowledgeable and stayed hands on throughout the whole process. I had a 32 panel solar system installed that has exceeded all my expectations. I opted for the LG panels and garage mounted SMA inverters.

For Arizona, my recommendation is to keep the inverters off the roof (go with garage mounted inverters). Electronics don't like heat or power glitches and the roof location will increase their exposure to both. As a bonus you'll save money too.

Jeff and his crew did a great job installing solar panels on my home. His sales guy (Mike) talked through a number of options, with many follow up calls/emails to answer my questions. I also got 2 bids from other companies where this bid cost less and was for better equipment. The crew installed the racks and 27 LG 350 panels (with Enphase microinverters) in about 2 days (usually half days), they were very professional and even answered any of my questions fully, took care of all the permits and TEP interactions, and upon system turn on Jeff himself spent a few hours with me walking through the website to get solar readings on my equipment along with discussing all the ins and outs of understanding the readings (now and in the future and what to watch for).

The system has been operating for ~2 months now and I just got my first full TEP bill with solar producing most of my electricity (~90%) where my electric bill effectively was reduced in Sept by ~$250 (and this was without any Fall/Spring credits since just turned on). I would definitely use Jeff and his crew again.

Just know that we believe your company is top of the line, none could be better for us. We have recommended you to new neighbors, as many have asked about our solar units. The price was fair, the service was exceptional. We liked you and the crew very much. There was no big corporate bull and you were approachable as well as handy. The solars are working perfectly these 4 years.

This is an awesome company. They are knowledgeable, professional and easy to work with. They installed a solar pool heating system and a photovoltaic power system. Both were completed ahead of schedule and work flawlessly. I would highly recommend them.

The guys at CSL were very knowledgeable about the latest products out there. Micro inverters are awesome! They made the whole process simple and easy. From financing to my first electric bill they were there every step of the way. My first bill with the panels was a 7 dollar service fee! These things are paying for themselves while helping the environment.

Custom Solar and Leisure installed the solar panels on my roof. It was a pleasure dealing this company. Everything from the beginning to the end of the job went smoothy. They were always on time and returned my calls promptly.

For several years we owned a zero Energy Home in Armory park del Sol. a Solar Development in Downtown Tucson Az. When the need for routine Maintanance or lnspections was there we always recieved first class attention and service from Custom Solar and Leisure.

Back in 2008 I contacted Jeff (Custom Solar and Leisure) about installing a Solar Electric System on my property. Jeff came out to my home and I explained to him what I was looking for. Jeff came up with a system that met my needs at a price that was fair. This system consisted of 39 Mitsubishi 185 W panels (7215 W array) with SMA Sunnyboy 7000US Inverter.

CSL did a great solar installation in our new home. After our first full year with solar, Tucson Electric and Power owes me over $200.
