Net Zero Solar

As a solar broker and advisor for a local larger competitor, Our World Energy, I have personally been impressed with what Brian and his team at Net Zero are doing in the Tucson area. In the rare instance I am unable to meet my clients goals and objectives I will refer to them to Net Zero as a suitable alternative.

This company is amazing. I had my system installed in 2014. So far it has generated over $25k in power! They did it right the first time, were easy to work with and both professional, attentive and kind. They continue to keep an eye on things and let me know if weeds are starting to cut my performance so I can trim them. I cant recommend them enough. A true gem. Solar is the right thing to do and these folks are the best ones to do it in my opinion.

Loved getting solar panels! And Net Zero was great! After looking at several companies it was so nice working with Brian Mueller. He was knowledgeable, humble, honest, and wasn't a pushy salesman like some of the other companies we were asking for quotes. He came by, offered the quote, and gave us space to work through the different bids. We really wanted to support local Tucson businesses and Net Zero had the most competitive price given the specific panels (LG) that we wanted.

Almost a year now after installation I'm still addicted to the Enlightened app to track the energy usage throughout the day and plan when to use high electric demand appliances. All in all we are very happy with our solar panel purchase and install from Net Zero Solar.

Everything was great. We had a few hiccups because of our house and Chad and his team took care of everything for us. I highly recommend them to everyone I know.

Had a great experience with Net Zero - the system was competitively priced and the staff was very informative and helpful from the first meeting all the way through install and support. I really feel like they helped target the system to my specific desire and they made sure to have my financial interests in mind - they weren't just trying to put the biggest system possible on the roof.

No problems whatsoever from start to finish. Excellent initial proposal that was less $$ than expected and sized appropriately. System was installed by their exceptional crew in a day and a half and 2 weeks ahead of schedule. All paperwork and permits were handled by NZ, even our HOA! High quality equipment, installation, and crew. The Enlighten monitoring app is also a big plus. You can't go wrong with Net Zero Solar!

Had a solar system installed on my home. For starters the salesman did not try to over sale a system. From start to finish everything was on-time and professional. They installed on the dates they gave me from the beginning. No mess, and very smooth process. I would highly recommend them. Did I say this entire process was "Stress Free?."

Received 3 bids on solar panel installation, and chose Net Zero because the sales person was straight forward, honest and made me feel confident in their product. From signing contract on, the process was unbelievably stress free. They set a date, were there when scheduled, were friendly and did the job without my hardly knowing they were there, outside of the drilling noise when installing racks :! Everything looks and works great and exactly as I was told. Hard to beat simple perfection.

We got estimates from 3 solar companies and selected Net Zero Solar. This company was fantastic from start to finish in the initial contact by Chad Waits, to installation, clean up, and follow up. The installation crew was fantastic. The Enphase Enlighten system allows us to monitor our system and overall energy. We would give them 10 stars at least. Quality really matters to this company.

The system design and implementation were great. The last minute addition of screening to deter packrats (it was a ground installation) was nicely done and didn't change the quote. All their guys were polite and I never saw anybody "lean on their shovel." My "outstanding member of the team" (other than Chad) was Louis. He was always patient with my endless questions (we engineers are like that) and clearly knew what he was doing on all electrical/electronic aspects of the system. I highly recommend Net Zero.

Best solar company out there. The crew here is honest, knowledgeable, and amazing. They have spent so much extra time then needed to make sure you understand your solar and even help you in ways to enhance your home in other ways, such as pool care ideas to best fit your solar system. Truly top class company. I spoke with about five different companies, and no one came close to Net Zero. If you want solar - call them - trust me.

Got solar panels installed from Net Zero a few months ago. They were friendly and helpful throughout the process. When we booked with them it got installed fairly quickly - about 6 weeks after we ordered which is faster than a lot of sole companies in town. Love that it's a local business and would recommend them!

After checking out other solar providers, we decided to go with Net Zero. They provided good explanations and descriptions in advance of a "right-sized" system for us and did not try to sell us more panels than we needed. Communication was excellent at every step of the installation process. Our system has been on-line for over a month now and we are happy with the results - especially with the great on-line software which allows you to track usage, production, and savings!

We had an incredible experience with Net Zero from start to finish. They were the only company in town that could come out before the net metering law changed and help us get our system installed quickly. It's a local company and they understood our roof and it's materials and didn't have any issues with that. Chad was very knowledgeable and professional.

They provide an app for your phone for you to monitor your solar production and electricity usage. And they explained the tax credits and how it will work with TEP very well. They delivered and installed exactly when they said they would, and there were no issues. And they have a good warranty.

Count me as another satisfied Net Zero Solar customer. It's always good to get a few estimates. We got three, but I guarantee you'll come back to Net Zero. Brian is an excellent sales person and understands every aspect of the installation and use of solar panels. He's able to answer every question you have and will always get back to you promptly if you leave a message.

The installation was painless. I wish everything in life can go this smoothly! They were able to start a month earlier than expected which was great. They came on time and everyone was professional. The installation was done in two days with no troubles. You will receive a tax credit of 30% of your total cost through 2019 so if you're considering solar panels, start looking now.

Either commercial or residential, the sooner, the better. In 2020, that credit is only 26%. In 2021, it drops to 22% and it drops off completely after that for residential properties (10% past the year 2022 on commercial properties). We were able to get a solar loan from Tucson Old Pueblo Credit Union. Net Zero Solar steered us toward them, but they really don't have anything to do with the loan otherwise.

And that's fine. The solar loan made it much more affordable for us. You may want to pay for them outright. In any case, I think you'll find that Net Zero Solar has the best price. We are so happy with our solar panels and have no doubt that any future service from this company will be top notch.

We worked with Chad to design the solar setup on our house. He was fantastic and very personable. We look foward to adding more panels to our system soon! Net Zero Solar is an awsome company and would highly recommend them!

After doing some research on Solar Companies, Net Zero Solar had topnotch ratings and reviews. Chad took his time to thoroughly explain the process and cost. Installation crew were awesome!

I'm a very happy customer of Net Zero Solar and have been quite pleased with their expertise, products and execution for solar! I started looking at finally moving to Tucson in early 2014 and on a house I was considering buying in a planned community that had a smaller Net Zero Solar system installed on it. I didn't buy that house and instead decided to build new in that same community.

If you have the money to buy your system outright and not lease it, that's the best way to go IMO! That way you reap all the benefits of ownership and any leasing solar company can't dictate who you sell your house to in the future. I had great communications with Chad Waits and I knew Net Zero Solar was the Solar company to go with! So during the construction, the builders allowed Net Zero Solar to prewire for my 3.36 kW system.

After the system was installed with LG Solar panels and Enphase microinverters it all worked flawlessly. I love the technology showing how much solar energy my house was producing each day. Even on cloudy days I was generating some energy which is great. In late 2017 I decided to add more solar to my house (now 7.3 kW) as I wanted to have a lot more cooling in the summer and with plans to get an electric vehicle in about 2 years or so. (How cool will that be to have the SUN power my car and not use any fossil fuels to make that happen!).

I also upgraded the hardware monitoring my system so that it shows exactly how much solar I produce; how much I take from my panels and how much I pull from the grid at night and what goes back to the TEP grid etc. Helpful to know when deciding how many batteries I will need to buy to supplement my power at night (eventually). After a little over 12 years, the money I paid for the system will be realized in the amount of solar energy I have received.

Any further solar energy after that is totally free! Definitely give Net Zero Solar your business. You can tell in talking to them, that they care deeply about the Solar Industry in Arizona and elsewhere. They have integrity in everything they do and they are priced reasonably for sure!

Had a 6.16kW PV system installed by Net Zero Solar in Dec 2014 and have been very satisfied with it. All my questions were answered. The install itself was very well done and every attention to detail was paid. I would highly recommend Net Zero Solar!

Brian and the team of folks at Net Zero were absolutely incredible to work with. We checked out a few installers and NZ was by far the most professional and organized that we talked with. We had a relatively small system installed at 3.6 kW. Despite our smaller system Brian took the time to make multiple site visits and phone calls in order to make sure we were getting exactly what we needed in a PV system.

We selected Net Zero Solar to install a residential Solar PV array on our property. We requested quotes from six vendors, received five quotes and selected Net Zero Solar based on installation design/equipment, price, customer service and installation window. Chad, Louis and the team installed our ground solar system. They showed up each day on time as promised. They completed the work in the time frame promised. They did such a professional job installing that when the county inspector came out, he told us that it was the nicest job he had seen. The county inspector came out 3 days in a row with different inspectors to show them the quality of the work done by Net Zero Solar.

The inspector took pictures to show other inspectors the quality of the work they would like to see in Tucson. When I call the office or Chad, they answer the phone and are extremely polite and helpful. We have not had this quality of professionalism with most of our contractors and this was such an important decision. We are so happy that we chose the Net Zero Team to do our work. They also installed a roof top system on my friends house with all the same quality and dependability!

I would highly recommend Net Zero Solar when you have decided it's time to go solar. They are very professional, yet approachable with all of your questions. Chad and the team at Net Zero Solar are among the very best people I have ever worked with. The did what they said they would do, on or ahead of schedule and within cost. The level of professionalism they showed me is rarely seen in the area where I live. We just had a solar system installed for our home through Net Zero. This is an all around outstanding company. Chad, the owner is extremely thorough and is actively involved in the entire install process. For us, the process was so easy and worry-free. There was no mess or damage from the install crew, they walked our permits through the city office, and always let us know how the project was progressing- which was right on schedule!

The real challenge in solar in Tucson is dealing with TEP- and these guys knew exactly how navigate through the TEP nightmare. We had quotes from various other companies in town, and Net Zero was by far more professional, knowledgeable, and priced quite reasonably. One great thing about the company is they are based locally, so no long waits for out of town techs to do repairs.

We have had the system up and running for 3 months and not a single issue or complaint. The ultimate benefit is seeing those power bills decrease. We are even able to track our solar through an iphone app to see just how much power the system generates. I have recommended Net-Zero to anyone that is interested in Solar in Tucson. They are reliable and do top notch work!

Net Zero Solar installed a 19 Sharp solar panel with 19 Enphase micro-inverters system on our roof in Civano (Tucson) in December, 2011. They were very professional and the install was done without any problems for the quoted price. They also did all the paperwork associated with permits and rebates. I followed the electrical output of the panels using the supplied software/hardware via the Internet and noticed that two of the panels were not producing the same output as adjacent panels.

I contacted Chad Waits, Net Zero's owner, who investigated the issue. He quickly contacted me and took the initiative solve the problem. A few days later his crew arrived as scheduled to adjust the panels to avoid some minor wintertime shade. I was very impressed - Why? Net Zero Solar took the initiative to make the installation right even though there was only a small degradation in output.

It was their idea to make the adjustments which have improved the output. Clearly this is a professional organization that takes pride in their work and follow up because they have integrity. Do I recommend Net Zero Solar - Yes without any hesitation. Mel Mashman
