LHS takes advantage of Sr. Living community. Level Heating serviced "plumbing" for a residence toilet in what seemed to be a continuoius fill. Resident was charged $600 for two service people who replaced the interior parts of the toilet. These parts alone are cost less than $30. Two service people did this in less than 1 hour. They provided an option to replace all with the threat tactic that resident will have flooding if not eventually replaced.

I contacted Level to do their spring check up for $79 on my 2 units. both units working fine but wanted to make sure charges were proper etc. Technician arrived on time and was very pleasant. After an 1.5 hours was told that both my capacitors were "weak" and should probably be replaced. As the tech was preparing the quote, I quickly googled the price of a capacitor and actually watched a video of the installation process which the video only took 5 minutes.
I was then quoted a price over $2000. This company is owned by Horizons which I had a similar experience with when I contacted them to have a gas line run 30 ft in an unfinished basement. I dont know how this company believes it can justify over $500 an hour labor rate. Will never use them again. Based on the other posts here - I hope my units continue to run.

Poor customer service. Scheduled a summer maintenance checkup under my extended warranty plan. Just like they did for my last winter maintenance, they called the day of to reschedule the appointment because of other customers' "emergency repairs." This is their mode of operating; they've rescheduled 90% of our routine maintenance calls. Now they can't get us on the schedule until mid-August when summer will practically be over. TI feel like they don't care about routine maintenance calls because they've already been paid in advance.

Sad review to write as prior to my recent experience with Level I have loved their services. My system went down and was told I needed a new part that would arrive in a few days. Never received any calls. I attempted several times to get an ETA on the part. Kept getting transferred to dispatchers who do not seem eager to speak with customers. I couldn't even get a confirmation the order was placed. Reached out to Anchor Mechanical and my system was up and running within a few hours. It seems ever since Horizon took over Level has been not as customer focused. My recommendation is to look elsewhere. Anchor Mechanical is amazing.

Yes my service person was very nice and professional.i really appreciated he informed me that if I needed heaters while my part was being ordered they company would provide them. Also I like the in route information to let you know he was on his way. Mr. Juwan Garland put on his shoe covers while entering the home. I have used this business for years. I have ALWAYS raved about them. A few days ago they called to schedule my annual A/C system maintenance which was scheduled for today from 8 am-12 noon. I am self employed so I didn't really get into anything where I had to think knowing I was going to be interrupted. By 11:45 I had pretty much figured out they weren't coming in that window and had wasted my valuable morning.
I called and said I understood stuff happens but I can't wait any longer and need to reschedule. I was transferred to multiple people until I got to a woman who was supposed to reschedule me. I gave her name, address etc. She insisted that they had been at my home yesterday and done the work. I said that was impossible I was home all day. She got more and more upset insisting that I had called on Wednesday and rescheduled for yesterday.
I told her she must be confusing me with someone else. No she assured me she wasn't confused. I told her even if they said they were here they could NOT have done the job properly as they have to come in the house and start the A/C and change the filter. No they had been here and had done the work! I felt like I was being gaslit. I started wondering if I was going crazy.
She got very nasty and would not reschedule me because the work had already been done! I was furious. I have NEVER been talked to like this. She would not reschedule me and told me she would call me back and hung up. (GOOD THING THESE CALLS ARE RECORDED!) I was dumbfounded. I called the office and was assured by another employee that no one from their company had been on my property since 3/2021.

If I had not already paid for the maintenance contract I would find another provider. Great job! I had a water leak in my dining room ceiling dripping down to the air intake vent. Called Level (Horizon) and they fit me in the next morning. Tony and Dave called when they were on their way, were on time, and explained everything they were doing from finding the leak to repair. They answered all of my questions, found the leak, repaired it, and were on their way in under two hours. Very personable. Great experience. Highly recommend

Nightmare! A simple gas line installation right? NO. Communication was non existent. The 2nd appointment after the estimate to start the work was no call, no show. A week later the work began with more money then the estimate. I missed the 1st. inspection because I was not informed of appointment confirmation which they didn't reschedule. My calls became ignored because I never received a return call until finally 2 week later the tech called. I never heard from anyone in the office about my concerns or rescheduling. Very disappointed.

I must start this by saying I don't post reviews "ever". This company came into my house making this huge speech on how they are not about ripping off the customer and that they are service oriented company. They replaced my toilets to my satisfaction so I contacted them again about some new issues. The tech arrived with a dead tablet asking if we had a place to charge.
He had my 77 year old wife dig out the area under our stairs to get access to the main water shutoff. He should have known when she showed the problem in the basement, the main water shut off was between the furnace and the water heater plain as the nose on his face. Then the Tech that replaced the cold water shutoff valve in the basement didn't clean up his mess.
They replaced the faucet in the bathroom just to increase the bill. The original faucet just needed the valve replaced or rebuilt. The man then told my wife that our leaking shower was due to a bad shower head. I ask you how does a shower head leak? The valve needed to be repaired or replaced. I wanted a tub re-caulked, she was told that it would cost much more.
His opinion, it was OK he's seen worse. He proceeded to tell her it would cost over 600 dollars to replace a faucet In our basement. Didn't even try to repair the current setup. This in my opinion is bad practice and poor service. I will never invite this company to my house again.

Absolutely satisfied with the wonderful customer service and the service tech Tyler who come to my home. He was very professional and answered all of the many questions without hesitation. Very knowledgeable and efficient in his work. He also explained several options that were available to me for the repair and left me his card with a work contact number if my husband wanted to call him with any further questions or concerns.
The whole process from setting up the appointment to the work being done was effortless and they were very accommodating and prompt getting the appointment made and my ac repaired quickly! I would definitely recommend Level Home Services to anyone that needs quality service and workmanship done!

We received their flyer for a spring tune up of our HVAC and scheduled an appointment. The tech arrived as expected and I told him we had no issues with our system, just wanted to have it cleaned. Well after two hours, the tech said he found multiple faults and quoted me all these repairs to be done. I told him thanks but it's working fine and appreciated the cleaning.
He the proceeds to tell me he froze the system while working on it and that it had to defrost before I can switch it back on. I did and then the fan was not blowing air through the house. I called and he came back out apologizing that he gave me the wrong info and that the system was still frozen but he would defrost it and the fan should run fine but to wait till morning for it to be back online.
Next day, fan speed is not up and the tech comes back out. Immediately makes the diagnosis that there is a system failure and I have to have all these repairs done to get it working again. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he put someone on speaker. Supervisor said it was too bad our system stopped working but they could fix it. I again there was nothing wrong to start with.
He said too bad and that if I wanted my AC to work again that I would have to pay them to fix it. I asked for a manager and he said he was it unless I could get in contact with one of the owners. I asked the tech to leave since this was obviously a scam. I will of course get someone else out here since this is obviously a scam to get thousands from me after a simple $49 cleaning of a perfectly good system.

Just had my Spring HVAC service. Technician was professional and informative as usual, but I wanted to comment on how careful Level Home Service was during the COVID-19 pandemic. Technician wore a mask, booties and gloves, maintained a safe distance, minimized contact with surfaces within the home, sent the receipt by email. The last thing we need during a home isolation period is to lose heat or air conditioning in the house. Very glad they are still on the job.

We arrived at our home after being away for over a week and immediately noticed a water leak at our feed line to the guest room bathroom. We were able to shut off the main feed and stop the leak but because the feed controlled the entire house we had no water supply. I immediately called Level and I believe spoke to (I believe), explained our situation and the need for emergency service. Rachael contacted the service manager and within a minute came back on the line and said a repair person would arrive between 3-5, it was already 2 PM on a Friday when this occurred.
We received a text immediately announcing the appointment and within another half hour we got a text from Anthony that he was on the way which included his picture which we found comforting so we would know the service technician was from Level. Anthony and Jarod (?) arrived as expected surveyed the issue gave us a quote and repaired the leak. Bottom line prompt, courteous service. Excellent in every way and is the reason we always call Level for our needs. Thank you!

We have used level in our personal home and when we bought a new property we decided to give them our business again. We explained we were replacing a boiler/radiator system and wanted to add ductwork for air conditioning. My wife met their estimator on the job site and went over the project. He took notes and asked me to call him to review. I called and he started with "before you get started we do not do ductwork projects the company is getting away from this and we will need to disqualify ourselves " Confused I asked do you have anyone you recommend "no we don't have anyone we can refer for that" Guess they are not the one stop shop they have been in the past for us. Disappointing to say the least

Run from this company. They oversized the heater for our home. The air blows us out of the house and is noisy. They would not remove the oversized system. According to them, they had done the same thing in a townhome. The president told me that everybody wants to speak to the owner these days, perhaps if they installed the correct size systens, , that would not happen. Big mistake by them that cost me $16000.

I would steer clear of this company. They are disrespectful on the phone while being deceitful about the type of work they do. The dispatchers can't seem to give you any information up front for any type of work and very unpleasant to talk to. Very unprofessional and rude when you ask questions. maybe need to get retrained by the owners or making too much money so they don't need your business. I gave them two stars fearing company might pay to delete this post with one star.

The install date was set for April 16. The team arrived around 9am and worked tirelessly until around 4:30. By that time, the new system was installed and ready to go. That team left and Steve arrived a little later. His job was to fully explain operation of the system to us and then to fully inspect every aspect of the new system before turning it over to us.

The first instance they claimed that my entire A/C unit needed replaced, holes in the coil, etc. another company was sent to look at the home and found nothing wrong with the A/C unit other than a pinched condensate line.
Line was changed, unit recharged and the other company was out the door for $186. Level wanted to replace the whole unit. Today, they were sent to look at the heating unit. A motor replace for a quote of $675 and a faulty gas value replacement for a total quote of $1629, and guess what? Their recommendation was to. Chou guessed it, replace the whole unit. Another company has again been dispatched for a second opinion. As a former HarCo resident, very disappointed in Level heating and air.

These guys are great! we ordered the service through Angie's List. We received a call promptly to schedule the technician's visit. Dan the service manager and Steve (one of the technicians) arrived on time, listened to our description of the problems and spent lots of time answering our questions. Predatory pricing on a straightforward kitchen faucet installation. Plumber was there for a little over an hour and charged nearly $500. I supplied the faucet, so this was the charge for labor. The "estimate" was deceptive and by the time I realized it, I just needed to get the job done, so I paid the extortion level fee. It was a sickening experience.

Could not have asked for better service! We put our place on the market last summer and immediately our old AC failed. We called Level Heating and Air Conditioning for help and they responded almost instantly! We had them replace the old AC and they did a fantastic job. Now we have sold our place and the home inspection showed our furnace needed replacing.
We called Level again and once again they came to our rescue. They replaced the furnace at a fair price with almost no down time. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND LEVEL HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING!

Fantastic. Service experience from initial call to final follow-up call was first rate. To be specific, after speaking with the agent to make the appointment, I received a call to tell me the service tech was on the way. It rained that day and instead of cancelling the whole appointment, the service tech did his inside work and rescheduled his outside work.

I saw that Level Home Services had great reviews online and I was pleased that they did not disappoint when I requested them to do some electrical work. They answered my online inquiry almost immediately and had an electrician come out to give me an estimate that same week. Edgar was very professional and knew exactly what needed to be done. He provided a listing of several package levels of services for me to decide what would best suit my needs and price point.
He was available to do the job only a few days later at my request. Both times Edgar arrived before the time slot which I loved because I was able to go about my day without having to wait around. He did performed the repairs in a timely fashion and even cleaned up. I would definitely use them again for household repairs.

When I used Level Electric for my business last year, they were fair, so I called them to my home when I lost power to my detached garage. The tech Jim showed up and quickly discovered that my 40 amp breaker was bad. He changed it out which restored my electricity to my garage. He then preceded to make sure that the electricity in the garage was working properly.
All this took 45 minutes. He presented me with a bill in the amount of $307.00. I questioned him about their hourly rate. He told me they charge $130.00 an hour. I asked how he came up with $307.00. He said that price included parts and labor. I told the breaker at Home Depot is $20.00. He then said they have to put gas in the vehicles and maintain the vehicles and insurance.
I was not getting anywhere with this Jim so I called his office and was told that to change out a breaker, it is a flat rate of $211. I paid that price instead of the $307.00. The $211 is still a rip off, but it is better than what Jim was trying to scam me for. Nevertheless, I will never use Levels again!

I am reviewing this technician two times because he came to two different locations of mine and performed the same quality service. Was called by Level Home Services because they were having a promotion. I was scheduled at a time that was convenient for me. Mike P. was the technician. He seemed to be extremely thorough and knowledgeable. He explained what he was doing, what my options were and did not try to force products I didn't need.

We called what used to be Kite and Key Electric, which has apparently merged into Level Home Services. Talk about sticker shock. First they charged us $80 to spend ten minutes in the house looking at the electric we needed re-wired and provide a written estimate. Then they came up with an estimate twice as much as any other we've received for any of the work we've done in our home so far, when the job is by far the smallest we've needed. If you have a row home in Baltimore City and want to throw money into the wind, call Level Home Services. Otherwise, ask your neighbors for another recommendation.

I live in a row home in Baltimore City. My AC condenser is on the roof and was looking in poor shape. The base it was on was falling apart, made out of wood, and needed to be reset. The tech, Steve, who was there to service my furnace, gave me a great price to fix it which included disconnecting it, cleaning the roof, making sure there were not any penetrations and re-mounting it on a new base. A week later the installers came and did an awesome job. Kuddos Level!

When I called I spoke with Cassidy who scheduled me the same day. She gave me a time frame and let me know when the technician was on his way. Our HVAC technician is Robert and he has been wonderful! He took his time diagnosing the issue, came back the next day to look at it again because after he left he thought it may have been something else.

From the initial call, the sales rep (Steven) to the technicians (John and crew) that installed the new system, to the electrician that works with the company (sorry, I cannot remember his name at the moment), this has been one great experience.
