We invited four candidate HVAC contractors to bid on installation of a forced air heat pump HVAC system as part of a comprehensive solar retrofit for our Berkeley home. Eduardo Sanic was Element's representative on the first visit and was thorough, pleasant and professional in making an initial assessment. Element was able to meet the system equipment and performance objectives we wanted with a competitive bid. Eduardo and his team arrived early on the installation date and completed the entire installation in one day, including final integration of s smart thermostat into our home control system. The brand new system is working beautifully.

Insulation removal, clean-up and new insulation installation. Just like their yelp reviews, Element does fantastic work. Very professional, communicative, on-time, and protective of your house. Very happy with the clean-up work of the attic and insulation and then of the new insulation installation. I'm not posting the pictures of how dirty it was after a new roof and their clean-up, but here is photos of everything neat, tidy, clean and with wire guards on any potential rodent entrances from interior or exterior holes.

It is rare in this climate of rising prices and slow supply chains to encounter a business that truly operates with integrity, putting their customers best interest in front of their own. Element Home Solutions does exactly that. I spent a long time working with Eduardo, who was not only knowledgeable, but went the extra mile to make sure that every bid, every explanation and every suggestion took me and my personal situation into account. Dang. I was sipping coffee with my lady this morning following the install of our badass HVAC system (heat pump, air controller, IQ air purifier, UV sanitizer) in our badass home and I said, "dang, I have never met a service-based organization where there is so much love, professionalism, kindness, and dedication to a craft." Ernest, Marvin, Mac, and the 10 others involved in our project were incredible humans. Ernest was the man who came out and shared at least an hour, educating me on our options, the pricing, and any potential curveballs.

On the day of our install, Ernest was also here sweating alongside his crew, laughing, and helping out. As a family who deeply values diversity, communication and community, this meant the world to us. This crew made such an impression with my wife, Vera (our puppy) and I that we are already having them come back to remove and replace our OLD (1950s) insulation next week. And yep, you best believe this experience left us so satisfied I had to take a couple selfies. Thank you all!

I wanted to post about some work that Element did for us in Jan 2022. We had a crew come and replace the insulation in our home. What a difference! Our home needed an upgrade and we quoted with at least 5 companies. We went with Element b/c of other Yelp reviews and b/c we had the best feeling after meeting with them. They explained all our "options" but did not push us to do anything that we didn't want to do.

They hit all key areas of value for me: - they were upfront and we felt the most honest of everyone we quoted with. - they were the right price when we compared with others - they didn't push us to do the work "right away." Other companies came out and offered a discount if we committed on the spot. I get it, they come out and quote, they want the work.

We weren't ready so it was really hard to say yes to anyone that used this tactic. - when the crew came out, they taped up the house and were careful bringing out the old insulation. Once it was vacuumed and cleaned, they let me go up and look at their work (they also took photos) before they brought in the new insulation. Two months have passed.

We feel the difference and the house is much more enjoyable when it is hot or cold outside. New insulation made a huge difference and we highly recommend you go with Element Solutions.

These guys are the most professional contractors I've worked with, not just in HVAC. Eduardo was willing to answer my large number of questions as we customized my order to install AC / Furnace / ducting in my 2k sq.ft. house. He helped me pick the right condenser that wouldn't be ugly in my backyard and when the day of install came he and his team were top notch.

They had an army of 10 guys crush the job in 2 days and cleaned up their mess at the end of each day. I didn't get many competitive quotes but from what I saw and what I've heard from friend they give competitive pricing on gear and install. All in these guys are top notch and I would recommend them to anyone who is in need of an HVAC install or revamp.

After getting several different estimates, I decided to go with Element not only because of price (they weren't the cheapest solution) but also professionalism. Eduardo did an AMAZING job walking me through the whole process and even went above and beyond to discuss some of my HVAC concerns. After talking to other companies, I noticed a couple of them participate in the PG&E or BayREN energy rebate programs.

I asked Element and they participated too, so I opted to go with thicker insulation to qualify for the rebate. The crew showed up right on time. The crew of 7 people carefully prepared the house by covering everything in plastic and protecting furniture and walls with coverings. They went right to work cleaning out the old insulation, it was a little loud for about an hour when they were vacuuming the old insulation out (my AirPods masked most of the noise, and I was still able to take a couple of calls). After that, it took about 3 hours to complete the rest of the work.

Next day on-site bid. Great communication. Available after hours to answer questions. Fast turn around time for appointments. Friendly service.

We had deteriorating asbestos wrapping our HVAC ducts in our crawlspace and basement. Asbestos removal companies sent us complicated forms or left the HVAC coordination on us. Then we found Element! Jorge and his team handled the removal and replacement of our ducts, working seamlessly with the subcontracted asbestos removal company. Jorge patiently answered all of my questions and explained the different duct types in detail.

They went above and beyond, fixing a disconnected duct, making sure the new ducts were balanced and advising us on some other issues in our HVAC system. Professional, organized, on schedule, and with competitive rates. Definitely recommend calling them!

Elements removed and installed insulation in my attic. No hard sell provided all the information up front. They were on time, neat and followed through with my requests. They aren't the cheapest but they were the best choice.

Arrangements were made very quickly to install our HVAC system including permits and asbestos abatement. The team was on time and completed on time leaving everything cleaned up. They completed the small things required by the inspector immediately and arranged for the recheck. Their service was excellent and we are very happy with results.

These guys are like a well-oiled machine. They showed up with a team of people to install our air conditioner and got the job done efficiently. Excellent communication throughout the process including after installation when we needed the required city inspection. I even recommended them for my mom's AC service, and they did not disappoint there either. Highly recommend!

We wanted to have air conditioning put in our home and called several different highly rated on yelp installers for estimates. Element was not the lowest (or the highest) but the gentleman who came out was super knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and explained everything thoroughly. He also recommended some other updates the other guys didn't (replacing certain vents to increase airflow and also replacing our very old (1980 original) heating unit).

They were super fast to install and took care of everything. The final bill was exactly as was quoted. We did have a small issue where a part had to be replaced after the fact but it wasn't their fault and the owner/manager worked super hard to get the replacement part within just a couple of days. They did excellent work. When the city inspector came out to sign off on it, he called me down excitedly to ask who we used because he said he'd never seen such a perfect installation - something about how far things are supposed to be off the ground and some other thing that I didn't understand but he was legitimately giddy over. (I recognize this sounds completely over the top but I swear I'm not embellishing in the slightest).

Bottom line - we had a blissfully cool summer and our heater is so much more efficient than the old one - our electric bills went from an average of $650 a month to an average of $350. Yes, even in the summer, our PG&E bill was *lower* than it had been before we had a/c. I highly recommend these guys.

Eduardo was incredibly knowledgeable and honest. He and his crew showed up on time and ran an effective day of work of an entire heating system: furnace, ducts under the house, return air ducts in the attic, replacement of registers. Even adding a return duct from the family room which was an addition to the house. That was the KEY to warmth in the farthest room. It was NEVER as warm as it is after installation. Excellent experience hands down!

Called to make an appointment. Their first availability was a week later. I made the appointment and took a pto day to be there. They cancelled the day of. 1 star for canceling, but plus 1 cause they did give me a heads up. Edit: they called back to say the supervisor could stop by from 12:30-1. I said I was busy then, which we had discussed when I made the original appointment for the 3-5pm window, they responded "ok, we're just trying to help you out cause we saw your note." Which I assume means this review. Oh, and he also mentioned they knew the tech was going to be out as early as yesterday--which was when they texted to confirm today's appointment.

So taking back that extra star for the heads up because (1) if they had given me a heads up when they knew, I could have avoided taking a pto day; (2) they didn't care until I wrote this review; and (3) their attitude that they're "just trying to help me out." Never go to a business where their attitude is that they're doing you a favor by letting you pay them.

Element is simply incredible. We worked directly with Ernest after a recommendation from a neighbor who used Element to add AC and replace an out of date heater. We had a simpler job, basically a repair on an existing AC unit. Ernest was incredibly responsive, thorough and technically astute. He ascertained exactly our needs without up-selling us.

After consulting with Ernest though, we decided to expand the scope of work to replace our duct work, heater and AC. We received multiple quotes for various iterations of the project and after consulting with Ernest decided on the most logical quote to overhaul of our HVAC system. The team at Element was fantastic! They were consummate professionals and they worked with amazing efficiency to complete the job in just two days.

Bottom line, I can't recommend the team at Element more highly. Their pricing is more than competitive and their work was superlative and, finally Ernest was simply the best.

As I am sitting here in a toasty warm home, I just want to again recommend this company. Eduardo was great to work with and he really knows his stuff.

Getting an AC unit installed is a big commitment -- they were responsive throughout the process, answering my questions, and had a very competitive quote in comparison. They also had the fastest estimate of completing the job. They installed a new HVAC, new ducts, air conditioning system, cleaned up my attic and installed new insulation.

We found Element Home Solution on yelp and reached out to them for an estimate for furnace replacement and new AC installation and eventually hired Eduardo for the project. Based on my experience of the estimation, installation and the result, And I would like to give 5 stars for both the solution and the crew. This is a complex job as our previous system does not cover the second floor. Eduardo is very knowledgable and empathetic, who provided the best solution among all the HVAC companies we talked to.

In addition, his team is professional, and extremely efficient (they all wear masks and left our house as clean as when they came) to finish the job within one day. In addition, the owner MAC is very responsive, who helped us schedule AC maintainance and always sent technicians ASAP whenever we have questions about the system.

From the initial plan of our new HVAC system (including all new ducts) all the way through the permitting process, Element has been absolutely professional and a joy to work with. They came in with the most competitive price of all of the companies we interviewed, and they did a fantastic job with the installation, communication, clean-up, and end results. Eduardo is an excellent estimator/project manager - very thorough, great customer service. We had to wait for a month for project to start due to backlog but they turned up early and got the job done in a day. Well worth the wait.

I got a new heating/AC HVAC system installed in my home from Element. Since this is a major investment in my home I got proposals from several different companies and the team at Element came up with the best solution for my old house and spent the most time during the estimate to come up with a plan. They offered a complete job including re-insulating my attic and patching the walls where my old furnaces had been The work was completed correctly and on schedule. I'm very happy that I went with Element to do this job.

They came to give an estimate and made marks on all my walls with their laser measuring tool. We've tried cleaning but looks like will have to go through and touch up paint. Their estimate was much higher than I expected. I also felt like my needs/ wants weren't heard.

We had new ductwork and a central heat, A/C, and filtration system installed. The quote was competitive. I worked with Earnest who was courteous, prompt, and worked with me to find the best compromises to a couple of tricky locations to run new ductwork both during the estimate and on the single (!) day of installation. They crew cleaned up well too. Despite the necessary chaos of a crew of ten running in, around, and under my house for several hours, it was likely as good an experience as one could hope for.

HVAC: Make it cold, make it warm. What's the difference? Interest and ability. Ernst explained the issues, what replacements were ideal for our home, innovation in filtering the air, even the capabilities of the compressor outside. The price was about $6000 less than local Novato companies, and they handled it all. They lined up the permits, inspections and did the removal and install in one day including a new duct to a bonus room downstairs.

Element Home Solutions just installed a brand new Furnace, Air Conditioning, medical-grade iQair filtration system and replaced all of the duct work in our home. Ernest Shahray was the Project Manager. They crew was clear, efficient, on-time, and done in just one day! The work was done well and we passed our inspections with a Home Energy Audit the next day! It was not the cheapest quote but the team and their quality of work came highly recommended by many other Lamorinda families. We highly recommend them and their team!

I hired Element Home Solutions to clean the attic and put insulation in it. The workers were courteous, careful so as to not make any mess, and made sure the work met my approval when they were finished. I recommend them for this service and am exploring some additional work with them.

I spike with someone today 5/12/2021 at 10:10 AM. I asked about A/C repair and about the quote I asked for via the yelp site questionnaire. I was told they do not have time for repairs because they are doing installations. Why fix something for $500 when you can spend 5,000 to 10,000 on a new one?

Prompt appraisal, great options and Terrific service. We needed some asbestos abatement, a separate business. Element worked synchronously with them and were so efficient. The new air purification system is FANATASTIC. Along with my new furnace and very silent, efficient air conditioning systems, it was a big job. LOVE IT ALL! I wish I had been warned about the big holes left surrounding the duct work, but a handyman was also recommended to me, who came promptly and did a terrific job. Very pleased and excited about the work. (I did not have air conditioning previously and it is divine!)

From the first meeting at our home to the installation date, everything with Element was super smooth. Eduardo walked through our house and explained clearly what we needed and could expect in a new HVAC system for our hundred-year-old craftsman home. I hired Elements Home Solutions to clean out an attic and crawl space. They were able to come out and survey the work and provide a quote right away. They were also able to schedule the actual work quickly. They arrived right on time, did everything they promised and left the property in great shape. I would strongly recommend them for any of their core competencies.

I highly recommend you get a bid from Element for replacing your furnace. I did and am very pleased I chose Element. Cesar (aka Eduardo) arrived on time for a scheduled appointment to provide an estimate. He took the time to go into the crawl space through the existing small opening. I knew the opening was too small to haul out the old furnace and haul in the new one.

He came up with the great suggestion to cut a new access door closer to where the furnace is located instead of enlarging the existing one. He also provided an estimate for a new furnace on the spot. He followed up to answer my questions. I chose Element over the other two quotes I received. On installation day, the crew of 8 arrived on time. They worked efficiently and neatly.

The electrician arrived a bit later. He discussed potential options with me and also did an excellent job. I am completely satisfied with the project and the new furnace is working very well.

We decided to get heat for our house and began looking for a company to install. My wife got two recommendations from Yelp, we reached out to them and scheduled appointments and got our estimates. We decided to go with the company that seemed like they had more experience. Unfortunately, they were also the ones that were very bad at communicating.

The person who came seemed more concerned with making sure we made our deposit than answering our questions. A few days later after making our displeasure clear yet nothing changed, we decided to go with Element Home Solutions and we are so happy we did. Eduardo is a professional who answered all our questions and let us know a few things we did not that were helpful.

He gave us the estimate and then came back with his team to oversee it. I spoke to the owner a few days later making sure to let him know how happy we were with Eduardo's team and he told me more about him and how Eduardo learned the work from the ground up. That they trust him and the other men who work with him because they are all such hard dedicated workers. But, he didn't need to tell me that, it was something I had already witnessed.

The estimator came on time. I showed him the Mitsubishi system I needed installed and asked him for an estimate. I have the same system in our second home and I know the work involved. The equipment cost about $3000-$4000 (I have him full reference) and it takes about a day or two with two people to pull the tubes through the open attic. I got an estimate for $16,400 and when I asked why they charge $13000 for two days of work, got no response. I cannot recommend them at all.

Updated: Our AC went out and I called on a Saturday morning for assistance. A technician came by within an hour and got things running again. Woohoo! Original post went under a random log in for some reason. Reposting. We hired Element to replace our furnace and add central air. This was a large project that involved removing old vents, patching drywall, relocating the furnace from the crawlspace to the attic.

It also meant taking out some huge (20?) piping that had occupied a whole closet. The drywall patches over the old vents were done well and aren't noticeable after painting. Everything is working well and we have inspections scheduled for tomorrow. Everyone was professional and safe during the shelter in place. I ultimately was disappointed a bit though.

The closet had a huge hole in the floor from the old piping. They patched it with what looks like leftover wood. I understand it was a difficult spot, but they didn't even ask if I wanted to pay for some quality wood or just leave it undone since I had to get a separate contractor to install a wall to cover the new piping. Ultimately, I'd recommend them, but just be sure to work out details like this ahead of time.

The staff of Element Homes Solutions were efficient and professional from start to finish. I appreciated being able to get quotes on two options and felt no pressure to go with the more expensive one. When it came time for the installation, the entire crew was quick and helpful - even going a bit above and beyond to make sure everything in the attic and crawl space was in perfect order. I would highly recommend them.

I called for their services as my HVAC system broke down 10 at night. It was an emergency and I was not sure if any technician will be coming at that time or not.
