Worst roofing company in Portland. I would never use this company, Roofing leaked everywhere destroyed my 600k home. So much water leaked in everywhere causing mold and dry rot everywhere. I had a inch of water inside my home destroying all my belongings. Black mold everywhere. Sheet rock and walls all destroyed Had to have my lawyer sue the company for damages.

It didn't pay for anything. Think twice before hiring these jokers, The Portland roofers. Guaranteed to destroy your home and leave you with nothing. But a huge mess to fix all over again.

Chad did a fantastic job at cleaning our roof. He always responded to my text messages quickly. His bid was the lowest and he came out on the day he said he'd come out and worked long hours to clean our tile roof. Next time I need to get our roof cleaned, I'd call Chad first.

We contacted this company based on existing online reviews because we have an older cedar shake roof that needed cleaning and conditioning. From the very beginning we were extremely pleased with the timely response we received from this company's owner, Chad Westover. When Chad came to personally inspect our roof he provided information regarding the work to be done (including the option to include some repairs) and explained the process to be utilized, He provided an immediate estimate that remained the same amount that we were actually charged.

The work was started and completed in a timely fashion and we are completely satisfied with the resulting outcome. Chad and his crew were extremely respectful towards us and our property during this job and did a great job of cleaning up when they were finished. We really appreciated Chad's dedication to customer satisfaction and his outstanding communication skills in maintaining contact regarding work schedules, status of job and also checking in on his crew.

We will not hesitate to contact Chad in the future for our roofing needs and consider him and his company to be honest, reliable, skilled, and of the highest integrity. We not only gained a revitalized roof but a new friend during this process. Thank you Chad!

Got a new roof from Chad and crew over a decade ago. He had one of his workers come out recently for a roof cleaning and I realized I had never written them a review. I have used them quite a few times over the years and am always impressed with the quality of work and attention to detail. I have become close with Chad over the years and am glad I chose this company!

I would normally not write a review but this company deserves one. My roof was a mess and I have been putting off taking care of it for a few years now, I finally had to do something when I noticed a leak in the attic. My neighbor reccomended Chad and I called and arranged a time for him to come give me an estimate. He told me all that needed to be done and started on it the next day. He also installed new complimentary gutters and some roof vents. Thank you for making this whole proccess so much easier for me.

I was thinking of having my siding redone and had Chad come over to take a look. He showed me my siding was fine but my roof was rotting and mold was growing. I had multiple bids and he was rite in the middle. The crew got to work rite away and they were highly professional. From the craftsmanship to the attitude of the crew I have no complaints and would recommend them over any other roofing company.

Chad has taken care of our shake roof for decades. Each time the roof is thoroughly pressure washed, damaged shakes replaced and then a preservative treatment is applied in the color tone you select. Whatever Chad applies last for three to four years and looks great. It seems other firms offer two color - red or washed out beach look. We like the honey tone color of new shakes. We were in need of a new roof in order to close a house deal. We didn't have much time to get everything done, we called a few places before we called The Portland Roofers. I spoke with Chad and his knowledge and honesty is apparent and more than expected. I explained out dilema to him and after giving him a deposit lawrence came out the same day.

At the end of 3 days, there was no evidence that work had even been done except we had a beautiful new roof and all its trimmings! Thank you for being so accommodating, we look forward to working with you in the future.

My roof had reached 25 years and was aging badly. I had called around to several roofers in the area only to get some wildly high prices and a lot of sales double-speak. When I spoke with Chad I finally felt like I was dealing with another human being who actually cared about the quality of his work more than how much money he could squeeze out of me; he even started work on good-faith before I had funds transferred to my checking account.

In fact, it took the bank longer to transfer money than it took Chad and his crew to finish job! In the end there were no surprise expenses and they left my yard in excellent shape during the rainy season (not easy to do). I'm thoroughly impressed and immensely relieved I chose The Portland Roofers over the other guys.

I had Chad and his crew do our roof last March. He was very helpful and professional every step up the job. They went above and beyond to make sure we got the best roof we could. Our old one was in bad shape and leaking in our garage and arrive space. Chad explained exactly what would be involved in the job and how much everything would cost. There wasn't any surprise up charges at the end of the job.

They showed up on the date the said they would and finished on the date that was promised. After reading some of these one star reviews I feel some people like to leave bad reviews for everything. Give these guys a chance and you shouldn't be disappointed. I love my new roof.

Fast, quality repair job was done on our home in the prime of roof repair/replacement season. We called Friday afternoon and had the problem fixed by Monday afternoon. The "no BS" attitude turns some people off who need that special touch but I appreciated Chad getting down to business and being honest with me. I too am busy and just want the problem fixed.

I did not feel taken advantage of at any time. For repairs, the $1,000 retainer thing makes sense to me. Roof repair has to be worthwhile to the business. Bidding out repairs takes time and if you've tried calling around town in July, everybody is 2-3 months out or is simply not taking new customers. I called 13 roofing companies. Of those 13, 4 were 1-3 months out, 2 said they weren't accepting new customers, 1 was only doing complete replacements, 2 took 3 days to return my VM, 3 never returned a call, and the last one was The Portland Roofers.

The $1,000 retainer makes perfect sense to me given the market and what their business model is. Whatever is unused from the $1,000 retainer can be used on future work, which is perfect for us.

Chad, I'm sure you have been despairing since my last email. You likely lost sleep wondering how my downspout got stopped up. Today I took advantage of the anchor ring you installed by latching a rope to it. I used the rope to walk down the north side of the roof where I discovered. are you ready for this? I found the downspout clogged, not with leafs or rags, but mud.

Chad, Thank you for the excellent job in re-roofing my house. Everything from the tear off to the same day weatherizing with the new materials went smooth and efficiently. The good advice you gave during the bid included attic air flow, which no one else mentioned. The photos of the eve vents before and after were very convincing.

After a big windstorm last night, my roof was left with some minor damage. I called Chad and within an hour Angel arrived and replaced the missing shingles very quickly and charged me a fair price. i will definitely call when it is time to replace my roof and highly recommend this company.

I had a positive experience having a regular residential leak in a valley fixed by these guys. Chad books out sub-contractors, and the one I had specialized in repairs. He was able to re-design the valley and used lots of ice and water shield, and it looks great.

I have been a roof cleaner for about 10 years, and I refer all Cedar Roof jobs to Chad, of Americhoice simply because he is one of the best. Using the best oil base treatment with preservatives and charging a fair price. There are so many companies out there cutting costs by putting cheap ineffective chemicals on Cedar roofs which will speed up the decay process of the roof.

After contracting with your company to re-roof our home in the busy season your crew began work in 2&1/2 weeks which we felt was a short wait considering the busy summer. The crew was friendly and professional and stripped the roof in short order. They informed us of roof decking needing replaced and after checking it we agreed and authorized the replacement of necessary new decking.
