A feeling of durability. MetFab Heating has been in business for over 33 years - the same owner. The History Tim Feuz, the owner of MetFab Heating, started as a sheet-metal worker back in the early 1970's. In October 1981, he ventured out on his own and started MetFab Heating. He incorporated and moved the business to it's current location in 1987.
In 1993, a major remodel increased the facilities to 9000 square feet including a full sheet metal shop, warehouse, and show room. Tim still manages overall operation of his company and even crafts some challenging sheet metal fittings from time to time. Location MetFab Heating, Inc. is located at 13914 NE 28th Street, Vancouver, WA 98682.

A ductless heat pump (DHP), also referred to as a mini-split system, are the new electric heat. Studies have shown that adding them to homes with electric resistance heat (wall heaters, baseboard and ceiling or floor cable) can reduce customer heating costs by 30% to 50%. They can save 15-20% over traditional ducted heat pump systems where the ducts are run in unconditioned space.

Along with natural gas furnaces, heat pump and hybrid heat systems, MetFab also works with ductless heat pump and electric heating systems for residential homes or businesses. A natural gas furnace can help reduce electrical usage up to 50% and, coupled with an 80% to 98.5% AFUE rating, can even reduce the amount of natural gas needed.

Great job! The Metfab Team were on time, very knowledgeable and very professional. I had my furnace and air conditioning replaced. Jason provided a straight shooter quote. He responded to my several requests promptly and thoroughly. James, Doug and Trevor spend the day taking out my old system and putting in my new system. Big job! The truly acted as a team and executed a seamless installation. Loved their attention to detail right up to the button up and clean up! These guys are seasoned pros! Very responsive. Truly trustworthy! They get 5 stars in my book!

I have been using Metfab for over 15 years. Both Doug and Gary have come out over the years for the annual maintenance of our heating/cooling systems and they are always thorough and professional. Today, I found the same with both James and Trevor who replaced a pump. I appreciate their cleanliness, their courtesy and their knowledge in connecting the new pump. I can always count on any employee of Metfab for being on time and professional.

Metfab installed our main ductless heat pump about 10 years ago. We decided to add a second unit at the other end of our house. I ordered the equupment and the Metfab crew and an electrician installed it this morning. Everyone was professional and competent. The installation done perfectly! Prompt, thorough and very professional. Metfab offered the best pricing and did an excellent job with the installation. It was a pleasure to have the installers in our home and the ductless system is functioning beautifully to heat a space that used to be freezing. Highly recommend! Service:Heating system installation

These guys went the extra mile when they installed an AC unit in my back yard. The original plans called for putting the unit in the side yard, which would have left 8 inches between the unit and the fence. There's no way I'm fitting a lawnmower through that gap! Anyway, they did it all. Installed a new pad, ran lines to the new location, hooked up the unit, tested it, and answered all my incessant questions. Right in time for the heat dome. Will definitely be using them again when the time comes.

I used Met Fab to install a complete HVAC system in a older home. I'm now sitting in a very comfortable living room with no noise of portable A/Cs running it's so quiet. Jason came out in the spring & gave us an estimate & we decided to have them do it. He had to order the unit & of course everything is on back order. He got everything in & scheduled us for install on 7/26 today is 7/27 & it's all done & a super high quality clean job. Goodbye Cadet wall heaters hello Carrier.
I can't say enough good about their employees James, Trevor, & Doug, their professionalism, knowledge, experience and friendliness made this a great experience. Thanks much Met Fab P S the system is working perfect

I had an amazing experience today. I felt like it was 20 years ago when times were a little slower and customer service was NOT a rarity. I truly felt cared for. The OWNER came out today to help out his crew who are slammed with this approaching heat wave. He detected the problem within minutes and hooked us up with electricians who were also wonderful.
They came out the same day, too! What? This doesn't happen these days, correct? I'm not saying you will get same day service; every repair has different circumstances. I am saying that this is an old-fashioned company that cares about people and community. We had used them before for a furnace issue and had a great experience then as well. #CustomerForLife! Thank you Justin Meisner!

After 38 years with baseboard heating and stuffing an air conditioner into the window each summer we chose Metfab Heating off the PUD list for a new ductless system. Jason did an excellent Job explaining it all when he came to give us an estimate. James and Trevor showed up exactly on time and were neat and professional as they installed it. The electricians they had also were very efficient and courteous. It was a big job made painless and stress free by this reputable business. We highly recommend Metfab.

My neighbor has used Metfab for years so when the heat exchanger on my furnace failed I called them for a bid. Jason came out the same day and made a couple of suggestions that would improve overall performance of the new system. James arrived on time and he and his associate worked through the day to complete the furnace/AC install as quoted. With their own fab shop no waiting on ducting.
Their price was very close to my other bid but with the recommended improvements and their ability to schedule the job in short order to maximize my Energy Trust rebate it made sense. Thanks to Jason, James and the crew for a great job!

These guys will promise you whatever they want and then do whatever they like It doesn't make sense to call them in an emergency they promise to come but they dont- and it doesn't make sense to call them when it not urgent because they only do the work they want to do- not the work you need or ask for. Find someone else if you can before its too late

MetFab installed a ductless split system in my home in 2008. The install team was on time, professional, and did a great job. I was impressed. In June 2018 I needed to have the system repaired and was told that two parts were needed and someone would call me with the price. I had to call and ask for the price after not hearing from anyone a week later and was told the parts would take two weeks to come in.
To make a long story short it is now four months later and the work has not been done. I can't rely on this company so I'm going to look elsewhere to have my unit repaired.

Yesterday the snow was coming down and my gas furnace stopped heating. It was midday, and I started making phone calls to heating companies. All I got was phone answering machines, which I left messages on for a call back. On my ninth call, which was to Metfab, a person answered the phone. I told him my problem. He first apologized because one of his repairmen was out sick, and then he said he would call his other repairman and call me back.
Within a half hour he called back saying his repairman was on the way and should be there shortly. Not long after the repairman arrived, he diagnosed the problem and fixed it. He also looked over and serviced the furnace to make sure I would not have any more problems. I could not be happier. The next day I started getting calls back from the other heating companies. As of about noon, only three have called me back. Thank you Metfab; because of you I did not have a cold night.

We responded to a METFAB postcard offering a heating checkup in the fall of 2005. They came to the house we're selling for the last time Monday after keeping us either warm or cool as needed for 11 years. They really have a "team" approach; communication between who you talk to when you call and who shows up at your door is excellent. The technicians are knowledgeable, work quickly and efficiently and get it right.
I think with maybe one or two exceptions we had the same great guy service our heating/cooling system for the whole time. We had them out for two separate projects last week and this week. I had paid for the first on the phone and when a different tech showed up for the second job he had a receipt for me for the first one. Attention to detail you seldom see.
They have accomplished several repairs for us, none failed or needed further attention. They use good quality parts and price their time fairly. We are not moving far, and when I see a card for their spring "tuneup" special I'll be calling.

From the initial phone call inquiring about installing AC, Metfab tried to push a ductless system and did not want to hear our request in a house already fully equipped with ductwork. Someone did come out to give an estimate, but upon learning our current system is in the crawl space, he made it sounds like it was going to be a "big deal." It even was pointed out he'd have to calculate all the extra labor hours just to move our current system around a few inches, which would be its own separate bid.
No other company claimed it was a problem, but instead just part of the job. We wanted AC/heat in every room, hence using the ductwork already in the house. We have three bedrooms, living room, bathroom, kitchen, and dining rooms. Metfab's push was TWO ductless units placed "cleverly" to blow down the hall (assuming we leave all the doors open at all times, which is not practical especially when hosting guests).
So in fact, only two rooms would have AC/heat, but we could leave the doors open to let the air leak into the other four living spaces. Terrible idea. I forgot to mention, all this (not actually getting what we want unless we "inconvenience" them) still made Metfab the most expensive company. Odd. In other words, they just didn't want to do the work, and made it very clear.
Maybe if you're remodeling and starting completely over, or are willing to sacrifice what you actually want, Metfab might be the way to go; if you want to utilize the living space you already have and still spend a reasonable amount, I'd suggest going with anyone else.

It's rare you come across a company like this. If you read no further, THIS is the heating & AC company you should use. Hands down. It's winter in the PNW right now, with temps hovering around 36 degrees at night. Definitely chilly -- especially if your forced air heating unit stops working. Now, take a moment and imagine trying to call a heating repair company in winter. Yes, it's that bad.
After three tries at companies whose phones rang with no answer (evidently, heating businesses in the dead of winter have no need for new customers to be able to reach them), I then actually reached two companies. and left messages.only to have no one call me back. The sixth company I called was actually a duct cleaning company (I was almost not looking at the company descriptions by this time), and they were nice enough to refer me to MetFab. Yay! So, here's where it gets absolutely exceptional.
I called around 12:20 (lunch time). The phone rang, and to my surprise, a man picked up. He nicely informed me that the person who scheduled appointments was out to lunch, but he'd have her call me right back. Buoyed by the fact I had an actual human on the phone, I asked his name (it was Phil) and proceeded to thank him profusely for answering.
Sure enough, 45 minutes later, I got a call from Amanda. She got me booked (and actually apologized that it had to be the next day!) and wham -- I had help on the way. But it gets better. Several phone calls went back and forth between Amanda and I. This amazing person actually pointed me to a YouTube video that would show me how to check for one possible issue (that could potentially save me from even needing the service call!) and when we determined I still needed the serviceman, she then checked her parts inventory to make sure she could send him out with the part, so we wouldn't have to wait.
Let me tell you, my belief in customer support and service has been renewed! Oh, and props to the tech guy, Gary. He didn't treat me like a girl who knew nothing (even though I was exactly that), and spoke to me with respect and was very patient to explain everything to my satisfaction. I just want to say that superiority should be rewarded. I certainly intend to use MetFab for ANYTHING heating or AC related, and I would be thrilled if you would too. Oh, by the way. the "guy" that answered the phone on the scheduler's lunch hour? THE OWNER.

Went to Metfab Heating in search of an igniter for my old gas furnace and I didn't really know what I was getting into. I had the old suspect igniter with me to use as a guide for what exactly it was I needed, I showed the office manager, Amanda, my non-functioning part and she was quick to locate a new comparable igniter and explain how the unit should be handled and installed. Amanda was very friendly and knowledgeable about my needs.
Big box stores such as Home Depot and Lowes do not carry these types of parts in stock but they can be ordered from their online catalogues but when your furnace goes out who has time to wait for shipping? It's nice to know that Metfab Heating offers options that others don't as well as employing a friendly and professional staff.

I had my 30 year old furnace quit suddenly over the holidays. The weather forecast predicted increasing wind and low temps.( I know, sounds like the plot of a bad drama movie, right?) I called around on Friday and left messages at two businesses. No call back in over 24hrs. (Cause it's only an urgency for ME.) The third business took my name and wouldn't commit to a time. ".we will put you on the list." How comforting is THAT!
I turned to the yellow pages and found MetFab. The guy answered the phone (gasp!) asked me pertinent questions re: my problem, and offered to come look at it right away. The technician was professional, prompt and informative. Even better, although he says I'll have to replace my ancient system soon, he was able to repair it quickly and for a reasonable fee.
I recommend this company to anyone who wants that old-fashioned commodity SERVICE. He didn't try to sell me a new, high priced unit, didn't talk over my head, and was dependable. I will use this company for all my future needs.
