From the very beginning of the design and quote of the pool to the completion. Venture Pools was a very professional and personable company to do business with. From Gregg in sales, to Amanda and Angelica in the office, to Brett the Project Manager, everyone was awesome. Brett would be by the house on a regular basis, and would give me constant updates throughout the process. We appreciate how Brett would make sure we knew each step and what the next step would be. He helped to make it a painless process.

*update* One year later and we continue to have a leaking shell- which now has 30ft of patching, cracked and uneven tiles, coping that doesn't meet the pavers/decking, decking that is falling away, pavers that are so unstable they are out of place, and inadequate drainage. Venture provided us their latest engineer report and they are refusing to complete the recommendations for repair.
Stay far away from using this company! Our experience was good until we became close to the end of our build. It was projected to be a 14 week project. We are over one year out now. A shell that can't hold water, non functional and unsafe deck. Disaster of coping and tile. Just don't even bother trying this company- the communication and follow through are completely lacking.

Venture Custom Pools started work on my new pool construction at the beginning of January 2022. One day in February, early March the men just stopped coming to work. No work, no nothing. This past week Venture received a red tag from the city inspector for their work on my pool. It is now May 13 and this is what I see every day. Nobody ever comes to work on it. Every time I email the company I am lied to or ignored. I would fire them had I not already paid them! Literally, they took my money and ran.

We love our new Venture pool and spa! Our Project Manager, Brett was the BEST, (Venture needs to duplicate him!). He was very professional, and was always there to answer our many questions.he never left us wondering what the next steps were. The ladies in the office were great as well, especially Amanda who kept us updated almost daily while the final work was being performed. Would HIGHLY recommend Venture Pools!

Pool is leaking through the large crack in the bottom. Venture has a leak detection company coming out in 4 weeks, in the meantime I fill it 2.5 hours every day to simply run the pump and so the leak detection company can perform their duty. The pool appears to be rising as the water pours out the bottom. Venture will not come out until they receive the leak detection report. I'm losing sleep over this. I'll post more pictures soon. The deck is really cracking now as well, however the crack in the bottom and the concrete started cracking weeks after final construction.

Horrible experience. We had issues from the moment it was too late to turn around. Contractors were unsupervised and never knew what they were there to do. The work most of them did was of poor quality and had to be redone and some of that is still not right (over 2 years later). And the worst is they built our pool too low and it floods almost every times it rains.
We gave them tons of information about our drainage concerns prior to signing and starting construction and they assured us it would be fine. We showed them videos of flooding as well as numerous pictures. They made a few half hearted attempts that failed (again because of poor workmanship) and got to the point where they just quit communicating or trying.
I could honestly write a hood 20 pages on all the ridiculous things that have happened during our dealings with them and have now been told that they are unwilling to work with us now but will reconsider in the Fall. Really?

I'm currently three months into my project (not completed) and the experience has been a mixed bag of sorts. The design journey and experience was great. Brad did an amazing job listening to our needs and worked with us to get the best possible design. That's when it all falls apart. Every time I want an update on next steps, it's me reaching out to The Venture PM or scheduler.
I set clear expectations prior to digging that I like to be kept informed. A weekly text is not much to ask for even if there is a delay. My project manager told me that it would not be a problem. Unfortunately it looks like that was to much of an ask. I'm left in the dark half the time not knowing what's going on. I've asked for the supervisor number several times and still waiting.
The end result may end up being great, the the experience has been less than stellar. At this point I could not recommend Venture to my neighbors who were also in the market for a pool. Both ended up going with someone else.

We just had our pool installed this year by Venture. Overall, the process was very good - our salesman Tim and design team were fantastic to work with in helping us bring our vision to life. No pool installation will be perfect, but Venture was quick to respond to a few initial concerns at the beginning of construction. Our PM Geoff was amazing to work with - very responsive and detail oriented.
As mentioned, when issues arose, Geoff was always very quick to respond and course correct, as well as Amanda and Angelica who served as our schedulers who always kept us updated daily. Note - the project took place during a very rainy winter + COVID 19 outbreak, so Venture did everything possible to keep the project on time - so high remarks for that! Highly recommended!

I couldn't be happier with the professionalism & service I received from Venture pools! I not only got an awesome fully custom shaped salt water pool but also got to pick out every detail from the stone, to the color of the plaster etc. Everyone I worked with during the process was very responsive, exceptional and friendly including the different construction crews in all the phases of the process. Tim Cassel was our initial first contact & sales person who came out to measure the yard and provided all necessary information to start.
He was able to design and work with us (patiently) on every detail of the pool. The project was handed over to Josh the Construction manager who made sure every detail of the project was handled smoothly & correctly. I have to thank the customer service team Angelica F. & Amanda R. who made the entire experience as painless and easy as possible by answering all my questions and resolving any issues and concerns I had promptly and efficiently, extremely friendly, responsive and courteous so many thanks to the entire Venture team for making our dream come to life!

As an update to my last review. Prior to posting a bad review, I tried to email and contact Venture, to no avail. After posting a review.crickets. As I mentioned, they're currently months behind on the project. Here is what happened this week: Monday -- I was told the plumbers were coming and scheduled a time to meet them. No one showed up, no one called, and no one responded to my communication. Tuesday -- One person showed up for ten minutes, looked at the pool, and left. Wednesday -- I received a communication that the plumbers were coming.
No one showed up. No one called. No one returned my call. Thursday -- Once again, no one showed up, no one called, no one emailed. Friday -- GASP, without any communication whatsoever, the plumbers showed up. However, they parked all of their cars in the alley, blocking it from the other 30-40 homeowners who need to drive up and down it. When neighbors complained, they acted shocked and asked if they could park all of their vehicles behind my garage and block my wife and I from entering/exiting.
I told them no (I have to go in and out multiple times a day for work), but said they can park on the street. Given that I'm the corner house, the distance from street parking to my driveway is.four feet. I was then told that the level of work I could expect relates directly to my refusal to cooperate with parking. There are room for DOZENS of cars on the street parking.
I have no idea why suggesting blocking entrances, when there is other parking available, is a bad idea. Evidently it is. This is also the first time I've ever had a contractor threaten me to intentionally do bad work because I didn't want several work trucks blocking my garage so my wife and I couldn't get in and out. If you hire these people, don't say you weren't warned.

Currently I have a pool being built by them. I have paid 90% of the contract, as agreed to but they refuse to complete the work until I pay them the remaining 10% even though they have more than 10% to complete. Why should I pay for a 100% of the work when it isn't completed. Rule of thumb 100% payment for 100% of the work.

As with any construction project, there are weather delays and glitches etc, but I feel like overall they handled everything properly. Our project met our expectations and as being first time pool owners, we are learning some of the finer details of owning a pool. We chose Venture because of the design. Our designer packed a LOT into our tiny backyard and really thought of everything.

I hate to write this review but it is time. We had a pool built exactly two years ago and the process was a bit of a disaster. They didn't file for permits when they said they did. The pool was put in two inches higher than the plans which caused the pool decking to be two inches higher than our existing patio so we had to pay extra money to add flagstone so that our existing porch was level with the pool decking.
Immediately after completion, we even had to have another pool company come out to repair some plumbing issues (deck drains didn't drain at all) because after going back and forth for 6 weeks, Venture wouldn't fix it. Now, we have what I believe it structural issues and again Venture won't step up to fix. We have large cracks in the tile and tiles are falling off.
The coping has completely separated from the pool in the same spots where the tile line has cracks. There are cracks in the skimmers and literally all over the pool deck. We shouldn't have these issues after only two years! Absolutely POOR workmanship! So disappointed! Venture is willing to send out someone to give me a quote to make the repairs however.probably the same folks who did the work the first time.no thank you!

Very unorganized and disconnected internally. When you have the project "manager" telling you something totally different than the office, you end up being the manager. That was just the beginning of our headaches. Venture did an offer with a "builder" we used, so issues turned into finger pointing and let's just say for the sake of time, the builder always tried to help.
We now have decking (stamped concrete) issues within 4-5 months of completion which has also turned into a circus to get the guy to come check it out. All that being said, creativity did not exist on any level, so if your looking for a pool company that gives you ideas no matter the budget, pass on them. We were not told about a chlorinator, automatic control for the waterspouts, heater, more than one light or different lighting to add.
I could go on. I've never had to be so involved with something to get it done and make sure it stayed on track, a lot of hand holding and questioning. Maybe we didn't spend enough money to get the expected service. I don't know how anyone could give them above 2 stars. Best of luck

Venture did a great job on our backyard living and pool. They were very competitively priced and always a pleasure to do business with. Even though we did have a few snags at the end, they followed through with all of their obligations and delivered a perfect pool/spa and backyard living space for our family. I would recommend them, they did a great job!

Signed our contract in March and started digging in April. Supposed to have our pool open by the 4th of July. Our backyard is still a wreck and they have a lot of work left to do. This is our 4th pool and I would say that this is the longest build we have ever had. No on site management. Very poor communication. Only 2 days of rain so no weather delays.
Will update when complete. Updated July 20, 2018 So after my first review I received an immediate site visit by quality control manager Tom Simon. Had great hopes for some new activity and completion of my pool by today. No such luck! Attached pictures show current status which is basically unchanged. Electrical contractor has been out three times and failed inspection each time. Still no or little communication and no estimated completion date. Down another star. They have also destroyed not only my backyard (expected) but my front.

Update: Non-dependable service and warranty job. Never return calls and do not attend warranty repairs even after calling several times. Will ignore your needs and looks like are waiting for our warranty to run out. After building: Can I put ziro stars? Horrible service and they will ruin your and your neighbors back and side yard! Keep away from them!

Let me start with the good. Becky and Angelica are AMAZING! They are super responsive and always willing to help fix a situation. I hope they can find a job somewhere better because it must be exhausting apologizing for other people's mistakes constantly. That being said I wish we could go back and use a different company. We haven't even had water in the pool a full year and I feel like I'm constantly emailing or calling about an issue.
During the construction we had several issues mainly focusing on decking. The concrete we got was so slippery it was like ice skating. When I had the concrete guy out he told me it wasn't that bad and then they finally got it wet and felt it and agreed to come back and reapply the sand. Additionally the edge of the pool was completely jagged and half assed.
I had them come out three times to attempt to fix it and finally just told myself it wasn't worth the trouble. The pool was completed in October and we have maintained it well. We have a weekly pool company who comes to clean the pool and filters and our filters were black two weeks later. When I called to talk about it I was told that it must be BECAUSE WE WEAR TOO MUCH SUNBLOCK! Additionally they told me to buy new filters bc ours weren't covered by warranty. Whatever.
Now I see a giant crack in between the concrete and flagstone where the ground is separating. I feel like for how much money we have invested in this pool I shouldn't be seeing new problems every week and that is what's happening. Go elsewhere!

We had our pool built along with our home. We didn't have a choice on who we could use. We were a little hesitant at first because we didn't get to choose them. However, we couldn't be happier. We had the pleasure of dealing with Mark. He held our had through the decision process and made it painless. Very easy to talk our ideas over with him.

Its been just about a year since Venture Custom Pools built our pool in Hickory Creek TX. Its one thing to write a review when your pool is just finished and your on the high of just beginning to use it and those are great but what about follow up, customer service, warranty issues etc? I am happy to report that Venture exceeded my expectations. A.
The pool build was faster than they projected. B. The quality was right on. C. Customer service and warranty took care of a couple ordinary issues as expected. Becky in the service department is great with follow through and our pool designer and salesperson Mark did a great job.

We had a great experience with Venture Custom Pools. Regardless of who your pool builder is there are some things that will be the same.there will be a mess on dig day and for several weeks thereafter and you will have rain delays. The Venture team would send me e-mails almost daily giving me updates and letting me know about any schedule changes (thank you Becky and Angelica).
