It all began back in 1967 when Jose Pando (father of current owner John) immigrated to America from his home country Spain. Mr. Pando immediately put his old-world quality craftsmanship to work in the installation of marble and ceramic tile throughout the Tampa area, and Pando Tile quickly developed a reputation for honest workmanship and first-class professionalism.
Thanks to the continued long-standing and repeat business relationships created over the years, Jose Pando's son John and his wife Marion have been able to expand the company as PANDO FLOORING, opening the South Tampa showroom in 2003 to include a design and sales center along with a wide variety of other flooring types, as well as fine granite for custom counter installations.

Marble
Report
Marble's low index of refraction, allowing light to penetrate the surface before being scattered back out is what gives marble its characteristic waxy look and gives it a certain feeling of being alive. A very dense and easily polished metamorphic rock, marble is easy to maintain, while its relative softness allows for a wonderful flexibility in both interior and exterior design.

Laminate flooring is designed to look like natural products such as wood or stone, is relatively inexpensive and relatively low maintenance when compared to hardwood floors, and unlike natural wood, does not require waxing, oiling or staining Click on the photos at the left and right to browse gallery.

Very impressed with John and Marion! They installed granite countertops in my home and the result was flawless. We are very happy with the entire process and appreciated the guidance on picking an appropriate slab of granite and what cabinet work was necessary prior to the install. They were always on time, communicated with me, and did what they said they would do. I am not easily pleased but these folks did a wonderful job. I would use their services again in a heartbeat!

Had my entire bathroom tiled from floor to walls including the new walk in shower that he personally prepped and even built the curb. John is a master tile installer who has been doing this for many years. He walked me and my wife through every step of the process. We initially went to his showroom in South Tampa and met with his lovely wife who showed us samples as we described what we were doing and what colors we were interested in. We picked out some modern Italian porcelain tile. His estimate was spot on and his work looks phenomenal.

We were uncertain about replacing the carpet with wood or tile. Pando provided multiple alternatives, and based on the other flooring in our house made the appropriate suggestion of wood over tile. We selected multiple samples which Pando brought to our house. They made suggestions, we selected, and they ordered and delivered quickly.

My husband and I have contracted with Pando Flooring both for carpeting in our bedrooms and stone backsplash in our kitchen. On both occasions, we were completely thrilled with the results. We were given advice on both the practical and esthetic levels that was proof positive that John and Marion listened to us. The work was done in a timely manner with great attention to detail.

We recently had our kitchen countertops replaced and tile backsplash installed by Pando Flooring and we are extremely happy with the results. John and Marion Pando were very professional, helpful, and a pleasure to work with from start to finish. I would highly recommend Pando Flooring for their excellent customer service and quality work.

John and Marion with Pando Flooring replaced the floor tile throughout my apartment including the tile in both the master bathroom and also the guest bath. The floor tile replacement was far from simple as it involved removing the existing tile floor and then leveling a very uneven sub-floor prior to installing the new tile.

I first met John and Marion Pando several years ago through a neighbor and asked John to stop by my house when he had a chance and give me an estimate on some work I was considering having done. It didn't take him any time at all to respond. I was considering some tile work as an extension of my back patio. John's integrity came through immediately when he said, "Steve, I'll lose this job for saying this, but you don't want tile.
It won't hold up well in this setting. You need to do brick pavers, and I don't do those." So many others might have just said, "Oh yeah, I can do that. We'll make it work." I've seen Pando Flooring's work, and it's impressive. I also know how anal John can be when it comes to quality and attention to detail. He's not satisfied until it's as perfect and flawless as it can possibly be. He comes from a tradition of old world craftsmanship, which is rare these days in this country, and this is the kind of business I strive to support.

I think I can pretty much sum up our experience with Pando in one word.excellent. I interviewed a few other tile companies before ultimately deciding on Pando. John Pando does the estimate and coordinates the install of the job while his wife handles the showroom for the flooring products. Having John come out for the initial estimate ensures you actually get a tile installer with experience telling you what to expect when they remove the old flooring. Marion was very knowledgeable in the flooring choices and provided regular updates as to the status of the tile ordered.
I live in a neighborhood with $2-3 million homes and what turned me on to Pando was that they were the flooring contractor on almost all of these projects. They have also repaired numerous bathrooms in town homes in our neighborhood due to sloppy contractor work during the initial build. The installer that they utilize (Jeremy) was always on time or a few minutes early.
He put in long days in at times miserable conditions (they had to grind the floor to level) and always had a fantastic attitude. His attention to detail was incredible, as I saw him lay and re-lay tiles numerous times to ensure they were absolutely perfect. What I really liked about dealing with Pando is that they always told me the truth, and everything they did was to a level of excellence.
There were no corners cut or flaws hidden. They fixed what was wrong and made it perfect. We are going to redo our guest bedroom and our master bathroom in the next year or two and I will undoubtedly be calling Pando to do the work.

I had granite installed in my kitchen in 2009 by Pando Flooring. The granite had white cloudy spots in it at various spots in the granite. One is the size of my palm and resides at the edge where my stools sit. Basically right in the spot where you would sit down and eat. It is the very first thing you see when you look at my granite countertop and it looks horrible.
I understand small spots, the size of a coin or less but not a spot the size of a hand. It looks like someone spilled and didn't clean it up. I was unable to be there for the installation because my husband was deployed and I did not have time off of work so I trusted Pando to install granite that would look presentable and decent. When I called to complain because it is so noticeable and ruins the whole look of the countertop, I was told by Pando flooring that this spotting" was normal.
And if I didn't like it to "put a plant or other centerpiece on it to cover it up". This would be like putting a plant directly in front of someone's place at the dinner table right at the edge. I didn't pay to cover up my granite, to be embarrassed by it or to hate looking at it every time I walk into my brand new kitchen. I would not recommend Pando flooring because I felt like I was taken advantage of and then told "too bad" when I complained about the faulty granite.
I had two other granite companies come and look at the "spots" and they said that they would have never installed that piece of granite, that the spot was too large and defective. Granite is not supposed to be perfect, and the rest of granite is not even close, but it also isn't supposed to look like someone made a mess and didn't clean it up.
I paid very good money for the granite in my kitchen and now have to live with looking at something I feel ruins my whole kitchen. People who come to my house immediately make comments about it and how bad it looks.
