Critical: Responsiveness They sign you up for a VIP contract then make you wait 2 nights in the Florida heat to come out and see what's wrong with your unit. It's a 3 year old unit And they just serviced the unit 3 months ago. Sounds great until you need them. I highly recommend you look elsewhere for reliable service. Service: HVAC system maintenance

Called Payne AC this morning and Greg Wilson was at my door shortly after I called. Greg quickly diagnosed the issue and made the repair. Christina is AWESOME. Called this morning in a panic, my thermostat was acting up and summer is around the corner. As I was explaining what was happening, she told me I needed to clean the drain lines. Now, I pour bleach down the lines every few months and didn't believe her. However, with her on the phone, I went out and checked them. Oh my gosh! Looked like two pounds of horse snot!. I was able to unclog the line and water began flowing out of the line like a spigot. Everything working as designed now. Give the woman a raise!

A 'technician told me I had a cracked drain pan and it would have taken major disassembly to fix. This after a prior person had replaced PVC pipe and my only issue was it needed more blue sealant to stop drips which hnew guy did repair. I balked at that drain pan replacement and a seemingly better technician came out and found no broken anything and no leak.
Amount of new work = NONE. So, depends on who comes out. I dont know if first guy still there. Therefore, have never called them again. They are a popular company here, but I can't trust them

What do you think about a company who comes out to check ac system and claims you need whole new unit. Call someone for a second opinion and find out it was 3 pin holes and no refrigerants and bolt was loose on fan on outside unit. Payne is a rip off company with no morals and techs that don't do proper ac checks. Don't use payne.

I have a air conditioner and contract with them now. We have had nothing but problems since they installed it because they didn't install it correctly so the pan always has water in it and it doesn't not drain properly. Instead of fixing the problem, they take care of the secondary pump problems. I am over it! Fix the Primary problem and it would work fine. We have had this A/C for a few years and Every Year, its the same frozen pump problem! So over it! Choose someone else!

We called Payne for help with my Mom's ductless air system in her home. The tech came on a Saturday, which is sometimes hard to get, and they worked around my Mom's work schedule, which was fantastic. He took care of all the units, showed my Mom what he was doing, and explained it so she could understand. The Tech was prepared with a mask on, to. heed caution to the healthcare restrictions in place.
We had been worrisome about the cost, but Payne's price was not only within budget, but was another definite win win for them. We definitely recommend, and will definitely use them again if/when needed.

I would not recommend them at all. They do not stand behind their products. We have had so many issues. We got a new unit installed not even four years ago and instead of installing a new one they gave us a 2009 and we have spent thousands of dollars every year fixing it. We don't have air right now and it's something that's already been fixed just. last year and it will cost a lot again.
They are no help I really think they gave us a dud and they are so rude when you try to talk to them. I would not recommend using them. Their customer service is so mean to us. We thought we were getting a good Unit but Instead its been a nightmare and money hole. So very disappointing

Wow this place is beyond amazing. We were welcome and felt welcome as soon as we walked into the service department / parts area. I'm so upset I did not get the guys name but he was so polite and professional. Their customer service is one of a kind. I would recommend to anyone to look no further if you need any help with you AC or parts. You can not go wrong with choosing them. 5 stars

After 3 failed attempts and $275 out the door. We still have no air and my kids have to suffer when this could've been fixed earlier in the week. The 2nd time the technician came out, I feel like he was in a rush and just put a bandaid on the real issue. Now we have to wait until tomorrow for something that could've been fixed last week without my family having to suffer through this heat and we still don't have an ETA or any type of information. That's not good customer service in my opinion!

My Wife and I have had some recent A/C issues with our unit. We were given Payne as a suggestion via a friend that has had service done by Payne before. We weren't sure if they would be able to help us out due to them being all the way in Lakeland and were in Brandon. When we called to setup an appointment everyone was so helpful and they had a tech out that same afternoon late and didn't even charge an overtime fee.
The tech actually lived out by us and got us back up and running in no time flat. He didn't try and BS us and tell us we needed a brand new unit but he was honest and let us know it will be due to be replaced soon. I called back the next day to give a compliment to the manager and apparently spoke with the owner Frank. He was really professional and even went as far as giving us a quote for the future which I wasn't expecting. Strongly suggest this Company!

Were okay until a snafu with their computer system meant I missed a mandatory a/c check under their maintenance plan. Then a plug in the water tube required a call that normally would have been covered under their plan; however, they refused to honor it even though it was admitted no notification card may have been sent out reminding me to set an appointment. True, I probably should have remembered to call but why was I paying to be reminded? They charged me for the service and I fired them the same day and went with another company. Goodbye forever, Payne.

We are in the middle of a cold snap and my heating wasn't working well at all. Never got warmer than about 60 degrees. I called Payne Air and Heating at 8 am and their tech Justin was there at about 845am. Was very pleased at that. He began looking at my situation and finally determined it was an issue with my thermostat that was not talking to the heat pump. Didn't actually know that I have a heat pump but now I do.
Work was completed and now I am happy and warm and really for the low 30 temps over the next few day. A great experience and I will contact Payne again for any of my Air Conditioning and Heating needs. Justin was a great knowledgeable tech.

When I called the person taking my call was so very polite and helpful. She stated they would call me when they were coming out. Twenty minutes later she called me back. The technician, Scott was so friendly, polite and listened to me, and did his job. And, he did it very well. He held conversations with me and even didn't seem to mind my two dogs that liked him. I am disabled and have to have air conditioning. Payne Air Conditioning is the best and they don't price gouge you. Your awesome Payne

Only in it for the service call. I waited all day and upon calling at 5:30 pm was told he was still on his way. But was coming from Lake Wales we were told they could put freon in but the cost would be $350 we said go ahead he came back and said it would be a waste. Instead charge $75 for coming out and was told he would get back w/ us about the part we needed and we never heard from them again. Another company came serviced it, putting freon in, and it is still running cold 70 degrees.

We had a 15 year old unit and added on to our house, so the construction was a great time to reconfigure our HVAC set up. The estimator worked with us, quoted multiple configurations and never got tired of my ideas! We chose two units; one of them is a 4 zone, high SEER and 90% efficient natural gas system. It was not a simple install! They did a great job.
Especially chasing down the little things that should be expected on such an involved job. We had an issue or two, but the company stood behind their work - coming back as many times as needed to get it done.

In the middle of moving to our new home and our A/C stoppped working. Called on a Friday around 4pm and they sent out a service tech right away. Got my A/C going with new freon and a new thermostat installed and it was cooling again. They were fast, prompt and reliable with great customer service. I would recommend them to everyone and would use them again!

We had an appointment for an annual service call, tech said we had a leak. Day 2, another tech was sent out and he could not find it, said yet another tech will have to come out, one with a "special tool" to locate the leak. Day 3, two guys show up, located the leak inside and repaired it. In one week, I had to be home 3 days for them to locate and repair the leak.what a PAYNE!
When they left, I discovered blue glue all down my wall and all over the white baseboard. This is fairly a brand new home and I was sick. They tracked in grass, which I guess can be expected, but then I had to clean my guest bathroom afterwards. Guess they felt at home in my residence.
