Solid business to work with. Fair pricing, quality people, punctual and a willingness to work with customers. There are many business here in the Minnesota River Valley that don't keep appointments, do not return phone calls, and do not honor their bids. Ryan Plumbing is not one of those companies, if you want to do business with a solid company, Ryan Heating, & Electric is there for you, "The Customer".

My only interaction (thus far) was on the phone. They gave me FREE tips on first steps to take with my water heater before they even send somebody out to look at it. If I do need to bring them out to look at my water heater, they've just sold me on their honesty and customer-centric focus. If I need a plumber, they're going to be who I call first.

We really can't say enough good things about Ryan plumbing and heating! They are always so prompt and have fixed so many things for us around our home! They even replaced our hot water heater on a Sunday. They really do go above and beyond to make sure everything is running great! Their receptionist Holly is always so friendly and personable. We will definitely continue doing business with them!

Wow. I just paid Scott $175 to come out and tell me what I already knew (bad zone valve). He gives me an estimate of $1200 to replace it! When I asked why it was so expensive he just shrugged and said, "that's what the boss says". He wasn't at all phased that I was going to look for a second opinion - I'm sure he was happy to take the $175 for the 30 minutes it took him. I've definitely learned a hard lesson with this experience. It's embarrassing to say that I actually paid him the $175 - what was I thinking?!

Never before have I ever called a plumbing and heating company and been met with something like this. I called Ryan about a month and a half ago and explained a problem we were having with our heating system. The person on the phone took my number and said they would have someone call me before they came out sometime the next week. I asked at the time if we could narrow it down to at least a particular day and was told no, they would call me 30 minutes before to see if I was available and if not they'd try again later. I went ahead and said okay. Well let's just say it is a good thing that I continued making calls, because I'm still waiting for that phone call.

We called for a free estimate. The person on the phone said they would have to come out to do it. He came out replaced an outside faucet and charged us $450 for 1.5 hours. The office said there was a charge of 179 for the free estimate and then the charging starts from there. The other estimate was $232. My wife was unaware of the previous price. He took advantage of her; we will never go near these people again.

I just wanted to send a complimentary note regarding you employee, Dan who did work for me today. He was very kind to me and answered all my questions. As a 77 years old senior citizen, I really appreciate his patience. Rest assured I would recommend Ryan Plumbing especially Dan to my many senior friends who still live in their home.

In early November I had Ryan Plumbing and Heating come out and inspect my furnace and water heater as I am selling my house. They looked at my water heater and fixed a pipe and inspected my furnace and said it was in good working order. They even signed a piece of paper stating that. Last week my furnace went out on one of the coldest days of the week.
I learned that my furnace was FAR from "good working order". It was dirty and plugged and needed to be cleaned. On top of that they put the furnace panels on incorrectly. Had they of done their job they would have told me I needed to clean my furnace (which I would have hired them to do!) and the $1000 furnace fix that I encountered could have been avoided!
When I called them to tell them what happened and how they did not inspect the furnace properly and what that had caused me they said they would get back to me. After several days and no return call I called them back today. I had to explain the situation again to someone else and then the person on the phone said that they could reimburse me for 5 minutes of the repairman's time for him not doing his job.
It was insulting AND a very expensive mistake for me to have put my trust in this company. As a born and raised eastsider (that would like to keep some business in St. Paul) I would NOT recommend this company due to poor customer service and poor quality of work. I hope the owner of this company reads this review so they know how their brand is being managed and represented.

I appreciated the way I was helped on the phone, I was able to explain the problem and get some feedback. This was something other companies did not do (they just wanted to come out for a fee). Dan (who did the work) was knowledgeable and so nice. He respected the fact that I had napping children. It is not everyday that I come across workmen as pleasant as Dan.

Wish we could give 6 stars. We had a nasty leak on our second floor radiator, and made the mistake of calling another company to come out and check it late on a Sunday night. We listened for an hour as this guy tried to sell us a new $10,000 boiler. When that didn't work, he tried saying it would cost $3,600 to fix the radiator - without even checking the radiator leak mind you - so we decided to get a second opinion despite going a long cold night without heat - since the only way to stop the water from gushing out of the radiator was to turn off the boiler( -15 by the way).
We called Ryan the next morning, and John showed up promptly. We weren't 100% sure if the last guy from the other company was trying to pull a fast one, so we were a little hesitant at first. I knew almost immediately that John was for real. He asked where it was and went to work on the valve. After about 20 minutes, the problem was fixed. He also took the time to explain how everything worked with the system, as the whole thing looked pretty intimidating to someone like me who had grown up using a log fireplace.
He explained what to do in an emergency and how long everything should last. not only that, he said that the boiler was in good working order and not to worry about replacement just yet. We will continue to use Ryan for our future heating and plumbing as long as we're here. I will be asking specifically for John next time as well. He has earned our trust and was extremely patient, knowledgeable and sympathetic to our concerns. I hope management understands how valuable people like John are to their organization. We will be recommending Ryan to our neighbors and friends. Thanks a ton!
