Critical: Professionalism Decided today was a good day to park in every single spot on SE 83rd, blocking multiple residents from their homes. It wasn't fun to get home from work to find I had to park two blocks away because there were 30 Reds trucks in front of my house. Unprofessional.

It was a 5 star review for the first job, but I asked for an estimate on another job and they rescheduled several times before coming out. We spent time discussing the project, and 6 weeks and 2 calls later I still don't have my estimate. I have others scheduled, but I have cash in hand and I wish they'd have just told me to go elsewhere rather than wasting my time. I'm not going to beg.

I had several indoors and outdoors outlets installed and Red's was so easy to deal with. They gave me an estimate as well as good suggestions and options. They called twice to remind me of my appointment since I had to book it several weeks in advance. The electrician arrived promptly at 8 Am both days. The job was professionally done. The guys were courteous and cleaned up afterwards. Highly recommend this business!

I had a great experience with Red's. Doyle is extremely knowledgeable and honest. He accessed the whole electrical system and set an action plan for any and all improvements and updates. He made it very easy to understand and was very open to questions. Really couldn't ask for better service.

We bought a dishwasher from a big box store, which they were unable to install, due to there confusion about the wiring. Aaron, from Red's Electric, indicated that there was no problem with the electrical wiring as it is up to code. Aaron went over and above what was expected and would have completed the dishwasher installation save for a needed plumbing part. Thank you Red's Electric and Aaron.

I am extremely pleased with the excellent service we received from Red's Electric. Our home is over 100 years old, and our existing panel was not only ancient but it no longer was up to current code. Red's Electric was recommended to me by our former electrician who no longer takes on big jobs like a panel replacement. I called for an estimate and wa pleased to find that the elecrician would be there in just two days. Reds sent me the president of the company come to make the estimate.

He did a great job explaining to me all the steps involved to upgrade the panel. He sent me the estimate by the end of the week, as promised. I felt that the price was very fair since he needed to send a crew of three and they would take all day. Normally it takes time to get on the schedule for a job like this, but because of a cancellation they were able to do the job the following week.

I met the crew of two journeymen and an apprentice and they went to work. They arrived around 8AM and didn't leave until about 5pm and they were working the whole time. But as promised, the power was back on before they left and all the circuits worked correctly. Then when it was time for the inspection, once again the same electricain came with the city inspector and certified the job. I was so pleased I paid the balance right then and there. Every part of the process went smoothly which is why i give such a strong recommendation.

Great experience! Problem was intermittent so I was worried I'd get "mansplained" but the technician understood and got the job done fast and well. Pleasant and professional, highly recommend.

Yes, I was super apprehensive about getting a 70 year old house rewired. Their team was amazing: great communication, super attention to detail, cleaning after each day of work and, yes, they even kept all of the drywall plugs for me. The only problem is that my wife is coming up with more ideas for renovations given this one went so well.

I would give them zero stars if I could. Waited about 8 weeks for an appointment, but they never showed. When i called to find out why, I was told that I was never on the schedule! Earliest reschedule was 7 weeks, but again, no one called or showed. When I called, I was told that they "had had to reschedule" but they didn't have a contact number for me!

I had given her two contact numbers when scheduling each of the appointments and even asked her to repeat them back to me to make sure she had them correctly. She offered to reschedule me in another 7-8 weeks, but I declined. Appalling incompetence and lack of customer service.

I was a 2nd year apprentice with these guys with my cousin who unfortunately passed away working with them. he loved this company and the work we, one of my favorite projects was an Amazon in Jacksonville Florida.

After a terrible morning having the trash man hit our power line and ripping it clean off the house, I was totally overwhelmed, I searched for local companies and called Red's. Jim was here in an hour to assess and estimate costs, and about an hour after that his team was here working away. I couldn't be happier with the service and results.

It was refreshing to feel comfortable and taken care of when I really needed help. Thank you to all the team members that worked to get the power back on at my house, I really appreciate it!

Just had Jason of Red's Electric Co, (P.O. Portland, office in Oregon City, ) do two minor jobs: remove a broken exterior flood light fixture, with weather-proofing the light's junction box; and then install exterior hard wiring from a GFI plug-in to a security camera. He did fast, competent work, without extending the time of labor cost. Impressed. The results look professional. Cost was not cheaoest but I wanted it done cirrectly. Thanks, Red's.

Had a new outlet put in for my dryer. Was so quick and easy! The technician took the time to explain everything and make sure we got it all up to safety code. We are new homeowners and appreciated him taking the time to explain and help us get everything fixed up! So friendly and did a great job at a fair price!

Quick, reliable, honest service. Needed to assess an old outdoor outlet and install a new one, Red's got the job done. Red's does great work. When they have come to do their installations they have done their best to do the least amount of damage possible. The quality of the work is outstanding. I did have an issue recently where I called them out because my microwave was tripping the breaker. The issue turned out to be in the microwave. They wound up adding a dedicated circuit. This angered me but after writing back and forth they are going to repay half the charges, since they missed diagnosing the broken microwave. Thank you, Red's.

These guys were great couldn't get an electrician out for the life of me, everyone was booked, saw this van go to our neighbors and called them. Despite a busy schedule they fit us in that same day very thankful and electrician was super friendly definitely would recommend to anyone

Just used this great company to take care of some lighting problems in my salon. To start with 10 at the front desk was amazing and so helpful. They were prompt and kind. The electrician they sent out was amazing and did such a great job and taking care of the stuff that I need done I would most definitely use them again. Big shout out for being wonderful during this time of stress.

I was in a real punch and Red's Electric came through! 24 hours before heading out of town, the electricity in the bathroom & living room went out. After at least a half a dozen calls later I talk to Jenn at Red's Electric. She's kind and straightforward letting me know that it's pretty busy but they'll try to squeeze me in. Two hours later she calls back, "Do I still need an electrician?" Doyle was great! Efficient and friendly, he got right to it. Great service, reasonably priced, Red's Electric is my new go to electrician! Thank you!

From Owner Jim to the whole team for scheduling and actual work performed to remove all old knob and tube and rewire our 1906 home, we had an excellent experience with Red's Electric. Their quote was reasonable and there were no hidden fees. All their recommendations were solid (even the ones we didn't take and now wish we had) - the work was performed on time, the team was extremely respectful, thorough, friendly and ultimately did great work.

When one of our areas didn't pass inspection, Red's quickly scheduled a follow-up visit and made all necessary modifications at no additional charge. After respective bad experiences with both Stoner Electric & Mr. Electric, we were thrilled to find Red's and recommend them without hesitation. Thanks, Red's!

This is an update to the review i posted a year ago. We had to run s 220v line from our laundry room to the garage below to install a charger for our new electric car. We decided to ask Red's Electric to do it because we had a good experience with them before. The job was difficult because there is no easy way to get below the breaker panel in our laundry room to the garage below because of enclosed heating ductwork immediately below on the ceiling of the garage. Tyler and Cody arrived at 8 am as promised.

They had to remove sections of sheetrock in the laundry room, stairwell, and ceiling of the garage. Tricky to get the cable through at an angle so it missed other wires and did not hit the ducts. They rewired the breaker panel and put in an optional whole-house surge protector. The conduit now runs across the ceiling of the garage to the location of the charger.

They put all the sheetrock back in place neatly so its easy to patch. it took the two men over 5 hours to complete the task -- total price around $1600. Could not be more satisfied with the quality of the work. Review from the previous year: This is the best electric co we have found in Portland area-- by far. We had a circuit lose power, which turned of a frig and freezer.

We called five or six companies to get help. Only two answered the phone. The first said they could come out in about a month. The other said an electrician would call us in a few moments, but never did. The places where i left a phone message never called back. After looking further i found Red's. They answered the phone and said they were booked up.

But when i explained a frig and freezer were off (jen or jan not sure of spelling) started trying to find a solution for that day. One electrician lives near our neighborhood. She called him (Brian) and he was willing to do an after hours job on his way home! He called to let us know when he left Portland and arrived when he said he would. Brian quickly diagnosed the problem in the electric panel and fixed it.

Then he went around the house and garage and helped us find all the gfci s. There were several we did not know about. He tightened some loose outlets in the garage and left within 30 min. It is a pleasure to recommend this 5 st

I had a great experience with Red's Electric throughout the whole process of the project from the initial estimate inspection to completion. Doyle was a friendly, competent inspector who helped me understand how I could add new outlets without overhauling all of the wiring in the house. The electricians who worked on my house, Corey and Courtney, were friendly, efficient, and happy to answer the questions I had.

They completed the job (adding 14 new outlets throughout my two story house) in only two days. I was very happy with Red's Electric and plan to recommend and use their services for any future projects.

When we had some plumbing work done after a pipe burst and leaked water into our basement, the plumber (luckily!) noticed that some wiring to our old water heater started smoking. We disconnected the heater and called Red's. They responded quickly, were great to deal with, and took care of our problem. We highly recommend them, and plan on using them again when we upgrade our ancient electrical system in the months to come.

We recently purchased a 1950s house with pretty quirky electrical. No grounding, 2 prong outlets and a lot of funky do it yourself fixes. I had met with a few other companies and I am THRILLED I called Reds. I was truly despairing and was instantly relieved after I met with Doyle. He didn't try to sell me things I didn't want (extra outlets and light switches), like every other company.

He listened to my concerns and took the time to talk about what I should fix now and what items could wait. The electricians who came out to do the work were super friendly and efficient. Done in a few hours! We are definitely using Red's for all our future electrical fixes.

We called Reds after receiving a bid from a different company that was way higher than we were expecting. Reds came out and did the job (not knowing about the previous bid) and were friendly, fast, and provided excellent service.

Getting an electrician. no big deal, unless the power in half your home just. stopped working! They got here on time, took about 3 hours. The Red's electricians were fast and seemed quite familiar with home electrical systems. Very friendly, professional. Kept me up to date with every "discovery" found. This being an older rental house, we knew our situation might be involved.

It took the Red's team a few attempts, but they got it solved. I think it is cool that they always stayed positive and never passed the problem on to us. That's why these Red's electricians are cool! Soon, we had power again, in ALL of our house! These guys are the pros!

Called for an appointment and Rhonda suggested that we try a couple of things to be sure we needed the electrician. Although we thought we had done both, I tried again on her advice and it solved the problem.

My husband hit the outside electrical meter on our house and took out the electricity to our house. PGE came out and took out the meter, but we needed an electrician to come out and fix/replace the box before they would reinstall the meter.
