Do NOT use this company to build your pool. I'm taking them to court for a poorly constructed Spa which is only 2 years old. Several large rust spots have appeared.been fixed.and re-appeared in the same spot AGAIN! Their own Plaster Project Manager ( have several texts )told be 3 weeks ago when he was here to fix a rust spot ( $ 275.00 later ) that the plaster in the spa was NOT correctly applied and that unless the entire wall is re-chipped and re-done from scratch, the rust spots will keep reappearing.
He said the entire one wall of the spa where the overflow flows into the pool is full cracks and the re-bar will keep causing the rust to come back. Giving them 7 days to get back to me or off to court we go! I've already contacted a construction attorney and he told be it's a slam dunk if they don't fix it at their cost.

We DPS for a pool. They are horrible! Communication is non existent. The project manager Jake was nice in the beginning to talk to then he just doesn't follow though. He did our pool wrong and then when we talked to him about it. he "assured " me that it was fine and that what he did was correct and more. I even had to have the designer come out and he stated that it was wrong and not how he drew up out plans.
What a joke! 7 months of back and forth, me constantly leaving work, my husband trying to communicate and more. The design is wrong also the plaster is a crappy job. The didn't smooth anything out before doing the plaster. I wish I could attach pictures but I will be filing a complaint with the contractors board. DON'T USE DESERT POOL AND SPA.!
My plumbing is atrocious, plaster, walls, electrical, grout and more Another thing they did or tried to do was over charge us. They listed items, work on or bid list/sheet. We didn't use those items and they charged us. I called them out on these thing and Shannon said they couldn't refund or take them off. Hello! This is completely ridiculous! WATCH your back cause they incompetent, unreliable and unprofessional.
I could go on and on but I will save that for the contractors board! I "assure you " that anyone that has used DPS should file a complaint with the NEVADA CONTRACTORS BOARD so they loose their license and if you use their finance companies, make them aware to not do business with them. Per the company we used, they said if they get a bad review they will drop them. I can only say that I wish I used someone else.

After a horrible experience with a different pool and spa repair company that lasted 3 months with no completed repair, customer contact or honesty, we contacted Desert Springs Pools and Spas. We spoke to a representative, Shelly, who was helpful, responsive and professional. The tech, Saul, came out within 4 days of our call and our repair was completed. If you're looking for a reasonably priced company that has excellent customer service, I highly recommend this one. I will definetly use them in the future.

Desert spring constructed my pool and I would have to say they did do a great job. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER hire them for pool maintenance. I contracted them for two years and had pretty good service. I believe they have been cutting cost by not using the necessary amount chemicals due to rising cost. This is just my believe. My pool turned completely green as you can see. And I was emailed amounts of chemicals used, like I pored the stuff in. And then was told "that's normal". I would agree, but not 8 days from the last service.

Awful experience. We went to get an estimate from multiple pool builders and they tried to tell us that our pool would cost $20k more than ALL the other quotes we received. Do yourself a favor and do not go with these guys, there are so many more better companies that care about your satisfaction and Desert Springs is not one of them.

I was a little apprehensive going with Desert Springs Pools based on previous reviews but compared to the other companies with quoted for, they gave us the best deal without trying to upsell and sticking to our requests. Honestly, given that we have a brand new construction home, 1 year to have our yard finished, and the timing of supply/demand. my timeline expectations were patient. Also, to be fair, we went with a "spool" - 10 x 18 with jets so it's on the smaller side (our yard isn't huge) but enough to enjoy.
Our designer and point of contact prior to construction start was Ryan. He was pretty easy to work with and again, my responsiveness expectations were met (didn't expect a response right away but usually got something within 1-2 days). After meeting, designing, and depositing in July, they quoted us with an October 2021 dig start with a March completion.
This worked out because I did have to go through HOA approval which took a bit of time. Come mid-October I did have to reach out and was told it would be the end of the month. Our project superintendent was Brent and he was communicative as much as I needed him to be (via text/call). He was also timely when he said he would come by to check things out or would follow up with me if I had a question.
As soon as they started digging in November, progress was steady and never seemed quite stalled, except for after the holes were dug. A lot of the waiting comes from inspections, paperwork, etc. It also seemed to help that the construction was done in the winter. We were flexible with our expectations of workers coming and going and the communication from their office.
The scheduling portion with their admin team seems a little wishy washy. A few times I had to reach out and follow up on updates or scheduling of our final pool school. Anyhow, they did meet the construction timeline and we had our pool finished by end of March, early April. One thing to note is several other homes in my neighborhood had pool construction concurrently-- with other companies -- that even started earlier than we did -- and we ended up having our pool finished first.
I also decided to go outside of Desert Springs for pool maintenance but will say that they're quoted price is pretty standard for industry. We're happy with the quality, workmanship and features. Our little spool has a heater, a small water feature, 10 in pool jets, bench seating, and is easy to manage. I would recommend consideration of a quote from them but, again, if you're trying to be fancy then moderate your expectations :)

We used this company to build our pool and hot tub from July 2021 - March 2022. I highly advise against them. If I could go back in time we would have used Anthony & Sylvan. I could go on and on about issues with Desert Springs, but I'll try to keep this brief. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. Four failed inspections! There's a reason we did not do an owner-build and save money.
We didn't want the hassle and thought Desert Springs knew what they were doing. I mean, they do this all the time! They did such a poor job that we failed four inspections. The last inspection we failed was due to fencing that was needed. Our foreman didn't know what needed to be done to fix the failure and had to call the inspector to find out.
I made him do it in my presence because I lost all faith in their ability to do the job right. After that, my foreman never returned to my property. Unreal! The last month and a half of construction our foreman never came back. I even texted him something that needed to be fixed and he never came back and it never got fixed. Desert Springs didn't even do a final walk through with me.
I think they realized they screwed up so badly and were embarrassed to show their faces. The below picture is a snapshot from an email communication I had after the fourth failed inspection. It shows you how they do not take any responsibility for their failures. They are horrible to deal with and their communication with their customers is terrible. The Better Business Bureau has numerous complaints on Desert Springs' lack of communication with their customers-- you can see those at the BBB website.

I've contracted desert springs group for pool building and pool maintenance. The pool building went pretty smooth minus COVID delays. They pushed pool Maintance on us once a week for $130 a month. Everything went well until employees started quitting on them and I had different pool guys for a while. This last employee of Desert Springs Group has been slacking it for about 2 months.
I hesitated on calling Desert Springs since all humans have "off days". I finally just gave up and watched the cameras, this pool guy would come and swirl the water around, never used a brush, net, or any other resources to clean our pool. Wouldn't empty the filter or skimmer. I emailed them and told them what this guy was not doing, and Shelley took no responsibility.
Instead she said that refunds are never done for reasons of gated communities nor leaving your gate closed for the pool guy. In a follow-up email I explained that that's never been an issue. The issue is this employee doesn't work, and I don't believe in paying for nothing. I asked to cancel the service and a refund for the 2 months we've had this specific pool guy, since we've been having to do his job. I have pictures and videos of every Friday this pool guy came to hang out and swirl the water around. Told Shelley, but she doesn't care. But they like your money.

After a 2-1/2 years, we are still as happy with our pool & spa Michael Pettet from Desert Pools did in our backyard as we were on day one. The build process was smooth and fun to see our project transform from an idea to a rendering all they way to completion. Whenever I had a question or concern Michael ensured us even though the project gets assigned to a project manager he will still be involved throughout the process and to give him a call as needed.
We have enjoyed many great parties and many awesome weekends. We received great compliments from our guest all the time. I have referred many of my family and friends to Michael and they are as happy as I am. Thank you Michael Petter and Desert Springs Pools for completely transforming our backyard!

From start to finished we had amazing experience! We recommend contact Ryan Young - sales representative, created/designed our spool, he knew exactly what we wanted and made it happen! The rest of team; the on-site contractors were professional, assigned project manager Robert were on top of things. Plus, the office assistant Annette kept us informed when the next task will be done.
Very well organized and Executed on the projects at hand. We highly recommend you contact Desert Springs Pool and setup an appointment - Today! Don't forget to ask for Ryan Young!

The most stressful part of building a pool is the construction phase. The easiest part is the design phase. At Desert Springs they make it so easy and reassuring. Bill my designer was phenomenal. He listened to our wants and needs and gave us something more than we could've imagined. What makes working with DSPS the best experience though is having people like Marcy and Annette!
They make the stressful construction phase significantly less daunting. With over communication, quick responses, and updates, I felt like I knew what to expect and most importantly WHEN. I cannot stress how important this is when going with a pool company! You get anxious and impatient and there are tons of times where you're just at a stand still. I couldn't have gotten through this part without Marcy and Annette. 80% to completion and ready to fill SOON! Finished product will come in no time!

Horrible. They will rip you off. They double talk themselves and lie to you. They'll sell you one product at the highest price possible them switches it out with the cheapest. Then then argue that is what you bought when you know better. The sales rep/designers are rude, egotistical, degrading, self-centered and self absorbed. They spend more time blowing their own horns and bragging about what they got then they do helping you the client.
They don't care to listen to what the client wants. They don't show up when they are suppose to and are gone by 1 o'clock when they do. Project take at least twice the amount of time. There is no one running the office so there's no one to hold the employees accountable. They do as they want that including how they choose to charge you.
If you change your mind or add something to to the project you get charge an extra thousand dollars per item as punishment for taking time to decided. They're selling you mediocre work and high-end prices. Be careful of having to put checks in the name of the sales reps/designer. That just some of the issues we are having. Please hire a better more replicable company and do your research first. We didn't and we are paying for it.

Run as fast as you can away from this pool builder. They are incompetent, unprofessional and unreliable. On multiple instances I was given incorrect information, questions unanswered. I have reached out to Robert the office manager several times without a response. As soon as I am done with them I will post screen shots of my horrible experience.

Desert Springs handled our desert landscape conversion and pool resurface w/plaster and glass tile. They were responsive, explained all of the options and process clearly during the design phase. Both crews did amazing work, communicated clearly and left the job site clean every day. The results are stunning and our outdoor living space is fresh and new. We can't say enough good things about our experience and we would highly recommend Desert Springs.

I guess when the reviews are ALL bad and you have 1 random review of 5 stars you shouldn't be surprised with what you get. We started our process a few months ago to redo our entire backyard. Met with Nick first and then Christian a week later. Everything seemed good, Christian was working on getting us a proposal, said it would take 1 1/2 weeks at the most.
About 3 weeks go by with nothing so we text him to see what the problem was and get the, sorry about that I was having a hard time getting demo pricing for the backyard. I was told everything was done in house so I'm surprised it would take that long, but ok. He sets up an appointment for the following week to come out with the bid, he states he's totally open. NO SHOW. We've not heard from them since.
It seems to be the culture of this company, unfortunately. A friend of ours was also going to get his pool done with them and was concerned about the reviews so he talked to the Owner or GM, not exactly sure who but was reassured that these reviews were for a DIFFERENT COMPANY. that absolutely cannot be the truth. Not when people are having the same problems, that's too much of a coincidence.
I would say, do your due diligence on these companies. Reputation with your clients are huge. There will always be unhappy people but you have to look at why and see if that is something you can be ok with if it happens to you. I personally want a company that has a little more value in their customers. That's a lot of money to spend with someone who does not have basic communication skills, cause it won't get any better.

This company requires an option for negative stars! Have your attorney on retainer if you plan on working with this mess of a company. We were told nothing but lies from start to finish. Their communication is non-existent. The workmanship is atrocious and our 30 yr old pool looked better before they did the remodel. The icing on the cake was then having a random crew help themselves to our yard without even telling us they were coming. Stressed out our dogs and us thinking men were going to break into our home.
Complete disaster from start to finish. Also the salesman was nowhere to be found once we signed the contract and we really loved being told by multiple employees that the owner is the reason decisions can't be made because he "decides to come and go as he pleases and no one can reach him because he does whatever he wants" leaving employees and customers in the lurch.
