Crawl Space Issues
Report
This article is called Crawl Space Issues and not Crawl Space Insulation because when we inspect crawl spaces for insulation, we are also looking for evidence of rodent infestation, moisture problems and potentially any other issues that might contribute to indoor air quality problems or comfort complaints.
Removal
Report
At Advantage Home Performance we vacuum out blown-in attic insulation, remove fiberglass batts and roofing debris for our customers when they are considering a retrofit foam job, gut remodel, new electrical wiring or simply want a rodent mess removed. We dispose of the insulation at the municipal dump.
Spray Foam
Report
These benefits are realized when you eliminate the attic vents, spray the roof deck with foam and bring the HVAC system, including duct system, into the thermal pressure envelope. These measures have a very positive effect on the home if done in conjunction with other good building science practices.
Attic
Report
Advantage Home Performance has a long history of championing quality insulation practices. In 2001 Mike Uniacke, the owner of Advanced Home Performance, was featured as a consumer advocate and insulation expert on a Date Line NBC expose that was critical of insulation industry.

To solve a heating problem in a rental house we own, I called a few companies to give us a solution and a quote. Only Advantage went a step further to offer us alternatives to the existing heating equipment. The process from bid to installation was quick and efficient. The attention to detail was appreciated. I enjoyed working with Advantage employees.

I own multiple rentals in AZ. I stumbled across Advantage Home Performance by chance but did not realize it was actually by luck! I have used them to service my AC units as well as install supply and returns in multiple homes. They have created more comfortable temps and with very professional installs.

We worked with Matt, and wow what a great experience! I would definitely recommend this company as they were a pleasure to deal with and answered all our questions confidently, not only helping to move the process along, but to make it an enjoyable experience along the way.

It is one thing to install furnaces, insulation etc but it is an entirely higher level of expertise to solve problems that are not obvious. That is what Mike and his crew did for my church's Religious Education Building. An all metal building with major roof leaks, at least that is what we thought.

Over the last few years I have utilized this contractor twice --- once to install a large ceiling fan and secondly to install mini split heat pump. In both cases the product was correctly sized to do the job that I needed for my particular home. Also in both cases the installation was professionally done in a timely fashion.
