My company is me, Tim Whistler. I have a reputation for quality service. When I provide services for you, my name and reputation is attached to that service. Licensed and insured. This should be a given. However, check with other plumbing and gas contractors and you will be surprised to see how many are not properly certified or carry no, or substandard, insurance.
With Tim Whistler Plumbing and Gas fitting, your work will be performed by a licensed and insured technician. Many companies state that they perform their jobs to local code. The definition of code is the minimum requirements to allow a job to pass inspection.

I have used Tim Whistler countless times for all of my plumbing needs. It's the first and only number I call when I have a plumbing problem. This may not be the least expensive plumber in the area, but it shows. Service providers are always on time. Their communication is excellent. I'm always satisfied with the work. I would recommend to anyone looking for a reliable, high quality plumber.

My husband and I have only been in our new home for about a month, so naturally some issues are starting to appear that need to be addressed. A few weeks ago, for a separate issue, I called a chain plumber and the whole time they were at my house, they were trying to upsell me on various things and the prices they were quoting seemed inordinately expensive.
When our garbage disposal started leaking from the bottom, I knew we needed to consult a different plumbing team. I looked through a community Facebook group and called two numbers before trying Tim Whistler Plumbing. The first number rang until it hit voicemail and the second number just rang indefinitely. A representative from Tim Whistler answered on the second ring and within 5 minutes had me scheduled for an appointment.
She quoted me three different options, and told me that she really didn't think I needed the most expensive option - this immediately made me more trusting. The day of our appointment, the timing did have to get pushed back a little, but the team was really communicative and I took no issue with this. Mike Rogers was my assigned plumber and he was friendly, professional, and efficient.
I feel that the rates were exceedingly fair and ultimately this was a more pleasant experience than I could have ever hoped for. For all future plumbing needs, we'll be calling Tim Whistler Plumbing first.

We had a mysterious leak in our basement and called Tim Whistler Plumbing. Robert came out and diagnosed the problem quickly. He explained the situation to us, provided us with an estimate, and then began the work. It required him to cut through a wall to get to the portion of the pipe that needed to be replaced. Robert was terrific. He was very communicative, very capable, and very pleasant. The work was done extremely well and he even cleaned up when he was done. He was a pleasure to have in our home, as well as being an excellent plumber.

I was looking to replace an old gas range and a sink drain pipe in my condo. I live in a high-rise residential building in Bethesda, MD and it wasn't an easy project since all changes need to be coordinated and approved with our management office. Fortunately, Tim Whistler Plumbing has done similar work in my building before. Maria was answering all my calls and provided all necessary information and documentation when I'm collecting paperwork for this project.
After it's been approved she was able to schedule it for the next day, Frank and Mike came right on time and finished everything in few hours and charged a fair price for a job like that. I was very pleased with the job they have done. I will be calling Tim Whistler Plumbing for my any future plumbing jobs. I definitely recommend Tim Whistler Plumbing for their professionalism, and friendly customer service.

This is the third time I have used Tim Whistler services. They are very responsive and the workers are very professional. And they are always on time! This time Mike came to work on fixing a water pipe. He explained what he did and the area was cleaned when he finished. Very professional and nice. Maria the scheduler was very helpful and was able to get me an appointment on short notice. Very good communication with the company. I don't even look for other plumbing companies now. If I have another problem I plan to use them again.

Being new in the area, we searched for licensed gas plumbers to check on the natural gas line for our outdoor kitchen in our new home. We looked at reviews and we usually jump to the low ratings and see the reason why. We saw that this company does not have many low ratings and even the reasons for the low ratings did not seem justified. More importantly the comments from the owner was what made us decide to use this company.
He is concerned and has genuinely tried to mitigate the problems, and definitely sees customer service as important and really wants to keep his great reputation. That made us feel safe on going with them. The scheduling was great, the plumber came on time and was very professional. He checked our gas line, found it to be safe, assured us some rust on the pipe was superficial and was not part of the inner gas pipe. We paid only $125 for the visit. They did not try to take advantage of us. We will definitely go back to them.

I read up on Tim's reviews and thought he was a good fit for installing the water softener i ordered. So i called him up and scheduled an appointment to get my water softener installed and after i sent him the information about my water softener, he told me it would be $750-$950; this was 10 days in advance. 9 days later, he calls up and said that the water softener i owned was unusually complicated and that it would require more time than he anticipated and that he did not know how much it would end up costing he then told me it could be around $1300-$1500 but he was not sure.
He said there could be less than 10 feet of pipe and that he had to install a valve to counter that, then he said he had to put bleach in the brine container and also that he had to install a "2-way" valve on top of the system bypass. Honestly it felt like he just did not want to do the job and that is fine but i really wish he did not make me wait 9 days before he had this change of heart.
The system was designed for municipal water, not well water. I do not know why Tim keeps saying this. I sent him all the information prior to the job. The system I bought was the "Residential Dual Media Softeners with Watts W100 Valves, MODEL NO. M3011-W100SM-CR." Please be the judge.

We had a sewer backup and Mike Fleming and the team (Mike Rogers and a contractor) did a great job in replacing a part of the sewer pipe of our house under the basement slab. Also, Maria was very kind and responsible for scheduling, and Tim responded quickly whenever I asked questions by email and explained things in detail where needed before and after the work.
More specifically, they came to diagnose the issue with a snake and a camera and identified that there was a root intrusion which blocked and damaged the pipe. They provided honest view and possible (best and worst) scenarios before the actual work. Then, with a two-day work, they broke the floor tiles and concrete slab, replaced the part of pipe with the problem, gravel to bed the pipe and backfill the hole, and fitted the floor with a cement finish.
Throughout the work, Mike and the team were professional and friendly. They showed videos and explained the observed issues and made great efforts in addressing the issue. They covered the floor and a door where needed, cleaned up after the work. They of course came on time. I appreciated their professional attitude and accountability. Hope they will continue the great business practices.

I called Tim Whistler Plumbing in mid-February to get an estimate for changing the main water service line and repiping of a 76-year old house with galvanized pipes that were buying. Tim's estimate and pricing was very reasonable compared to the other two estimates we received. From the day we gave the job to Tim to the day the the job was completed in early March 2017, we were kept informed on every step of the progress. Tim, his wife Maria and his entire crew are professional, knowledgeable, detailed-oriented and friendly.
During the 2-1/2 day job, Tim kept us informed of the progress and when we made a few changes to the job scope, he evaluated the changes and provided the cost for the change order. There were no surprises and we are very happy with the end result. Even when we had to call Tim for a leak in a hose bib that we discovered 4 weeks later, we received the same prompt and professional attention at no cost. We highly recommend Tim Whistler Plumbing and will use them again.

Tim stopped by our house this morning, to finish up a job he started last week. He located a 2 small replacement parts at a supply store, saving us from having to do more expensive full hardware replacements. By comparing the quality of copper pipe joints he installed to the ones installed by a previous plumber, it is obvious that he does quality work.

Hi neighbors, Just a quick note to heartily recommend Tim Whistler Plumbing's services. We found Tim through the neighborhood list serve when we were looking for a plumbing company to take care of two clogged drains. We decided to give him a try and we couldn't have been more pleased. Tim was prompt, professional and conscientious.

Can't say enough good things about Tim. He installed new sewer pipes in our basement (a major project) after the old ones started to crack. He came on time, worked without any problems, charged what he said he would, and cleaned up so well my wife was amazed. Doesn't get any better than that. Oh, and he's a hella nice guy.
