Called this plumber after having John c flood over who said I needed a $5,500 new water heater. Over the phone he gave us instructions on how to fix it ourselves. He saved us $5,500 was extremely knowledgeable and took r time to help us, without a penny. He knew a heck of a lot more than Flood Service: Water heater repair

I have not had great experience with plumbers in DC so what a relief to find Fry's. Mark and Casey did some work in my kitchen and were punctual, professional, knowledgeable, and informative. More companies need to realize that providing good service is more important to long term growth than a quick buck. So, please keep up the good work!

Fry Plumbing is one of the most professional, informative, and competitively priced companies I have ever worked with. They were absolutely fantastic and went out of the way to help me with my shower. As a single female that knows nothing about plumbing, I'm always nervous that I'll be taken advantage of, or that the employees coming into my home will be unprofessional.

They fit me in the same day, and Casey called me 15 minutes after I called the office to see what time would work best for my schedule. Casey and Marc came out the same day, diagnosed the issue, had the parts in their truck, and did the work right then and there. They were incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and I will absolutely be calling them again. They explained what they were doing in layman's terms, have me options, fixed the issue on the spot, and offered a government discount!

Wanted to warn our neighbors about Fry Plumbing and Heating. I have uesed them before with no complaints. However, I had trouble with a tolet. They had to reset the ring and remount the tolet. The plumber was there two hous and they charged $400.00. I called to complain and they told me, "it does not matter if it was 2 hours or 3 hours we charge the same Price". OH really why? "He comes with a fully equiped truck and a cell phone".

After that explaination, I said isn't that sandard they someone making a call comes with that. A cell phone, that's something special? So, I asked, I am charged for equipmernt not used and a cell phone? She then explain the work is garanteed. I replied, isn't that standard as well. After this conversation, I received no further explaination or any partial refund.

I told her, I know plumbers are expensive however. $200.00 per hour is exorbatent. I explained to the woman answering the phone I would post this just as it was explained to me. Anyway, Be warned.

I had a great experience. Omar took the time to explain how my heating system worked so i understood it better. He was very patient and knowledgeable answering my questions.

They did a four-day installation. They were very professional, punctual, friendly, and informative. They left nothing for me to clean up nor did I have to have anything hauled away. Everyday they left the area so neat. Beautiful installation. The owner is very informative and friendly as well. I did not know he was the owner until later in the conversation. Even the DC inspector spoke highly of this man as soon as he seen his face. I could not ask for a better experience. I recommend this company.

We called for another reason but as a result we over over the moon happy. We have had a water pressure issue that was identified and fixed by Fry plumbing less then 10 minutes. Not only fixing the current issue but fixing a long time existing issue. We have have had over 5 different plumbing companies out to try to figure this out, none found the water pressure valve placed in a standard MD install location.

Being in DC there was no reason for that valve to be installed by the previous owner. Problem solved. Johnny also helped me over the phone for a water issue at our rental property saving us a lot of time and money. Honest and exceptional.

Fry is now "My Plumber"! Their people are both skilled and personable, and reasonably priced. I have no desire to even look for another company to meet my needs, both residential and commercial. Keep up the great work!

Scam. I called Fry Plumbing to replace my water heater and scheduled an appointment for Thursday morning. We discussed the cost of replacing the heater which was competitive and also discussed an $85 service fee (remember this for later). They did not show up Thursday morning and instead told me the appointment was scheduled for Friday. Fine. Friday morning, Marc Fry, the son of owner Mike Fry, shows up without equipment, without the additional person it would take to install a new water heater, and without the heater itself.

He then tells me he doesn't even specialize in water heaters, he specializes in sewers BUT he believes the problem isn't with the heater he believes it's with the mixing valve. So, he adjusts the temperature the water heater (which I had done before) and he takes a few pictures and says they will get back to me later that day. All in all, he was there for about 5 minutes.

They do not get back to me later that day. I don't hear back until Tuesday when another Fry representative calls me to tell me that he thinks Marc's mixing valve theory is completely wrong and that I probably need thermostats but that I should wait and see if it continues to be an issue and they can waive the service fee. I agree and say I'll be sure to call them back with any future issues.

Fast forward two days to when I get a bill for $150. I assumed it was a mistake so I called Fry Plumbing and was told, no, it was not a mistake, $150 is the service minimum (not the $85 I was originally told) and that I was a liar. I was eventually put on the phone with the owner, Mike Fry, who continued to tell me I was a liar even after I explained that I was planning to continue to use them for additional plumbing needs and charging me $150 for sending someone with the wrong expertise out to my home for 5 minutes seemed short-sighted because they would be losing me as a customer.

Bottom line: 1. They lie about their prices 2. They do not show up when they are supposed to 3. They send the wrong people without equipment when they do show up 4. Scam to bilk people out of $150 and they have no interest in on-going business relationships.

I called on Wednesday late afternoon and they had Thomas come out ot me first thing Thursday morning to fix a broken garbage disposal. I was told 8:30 and at exactly 8:29 Thomas was at the door! He was very nice and fixed it perfectly!

Fast, friendly and affordable. The gentleman doing work on my kitchen sink and bathroom said I try and treat everyone's house like my own Enough said, I'm a customer for life.

Very friendly, professional and helpful. They came to my house when promised. Thank you for great service. Would recommend them to anyone and the price was fair.

Most professional, they showed up at my house on the same day I called, even though this was not an emergency. After much investigation, the problem was solved. A problem that another technician could not solve.
