I would recommend for fencing needs. Quality fencing and owner is hands on.

Management needs to look into who they let drive their trucks and advertise for them, I just got ran off the road by one their drivers when they sped up to cut me off just to get one car ahead AND the driver proceeded to flick me off

I guess I'm like most of the other 3 stars or fewer reviews here. I had a good, not great experience with Barrier. I've had two fences installed by them at two separate properties. The good - I have never had a problem getting a quote or getting someone to start on the project. Their final work looks great, as shown in most of the pictures.

The bad - The price they bid for the iron fence (which I found out later, they had never done before) was really high. Like nearly $10k high. I get it, custom builds and the materials cost a lot. But this seemed really high for the number of panels installed (only front and back of a 600 sf house, no sides) and the two young guys they sent out to construct this thing for the very first time.

The bid for a horizontal cedar fence at another property was much more competitive. The ugly - I had some issues with both fences that took FOREVER to get resolved (also called out in other non-5 star reviews). The most critical issue is *still* not fully resolved, but I'm tired of going back and forth with them and will get someone else to handle it.

While one issue was a minor annoyance that was eventually fixed (swing gate was way too heavy for the flimsy handle they installed, so a gust of wind easily broke it), the critical issue involved a gaping hole in the fence where a panel was never installed. I have video of people (mostly kids) trespassing on my property because of the large gap. I got the fence installed for safety in my neighborhood, and my security cameras caught kids, package thieves, etc coming and going through the open part of the fence as they pleased.

I paid way too much money for this to be the case, but it took several weeks of calls and emails to finally get them back out to put up temporary fixing until they could install the final panel. That was weeks ago, and the panel is still not installed. But like I said, I'm tired of dealing with them. The project was supposed to be completed almost a year ago.

They also left a lot of brush, rubbish, and materials (like extra paneling, concrete bags, etc) at my property for me to dispose. More $$. The fences look great, but overall not super impressed with the professionalism of these guys. Will probably be going with handy friends or another company for the next one.

Im updating my post. My deck had been built for 4 months. One week later, rains came and they have been here since. My deck is leaking MORE AND MORE every storm and is getting damaged every time. Its damaging my house now too. The roof was connected wrong and won't seal. I have complained, Paul stated its going to cost me. I raised hell and he sent two roofers out for bid 1.5 months ago and he told them they were too pricey. 1 month ago, he stated he was made to buy the material and will be dropping off on the deck that weekend and the crew will text when they will be completing the job. never happened, now completely ignoring me. 6k wasted and overcharged too begin with is how I feel. Next step is reporting, then taking to small claims court.

Paul responded to my quote request immediately, came out the next day, and his crew came out the day after that. I even had an unusual gate request (opening toward the posts) that I feared would get lost in translation, but it was done right the first time. Would definitely do business with Barrier again.

I had a great experience with Barrier! Paul came out for the estimate and immediately began telling me what parts of my fence material could be reused (like metal posts) and I immediately knew I could trust him to tell me what I needed and what I really didn't need. The quote was reasonable and he even broke it down by which neighbors I would be sharing it with.

The crew came out and put the fence up quick and cleaned up after themselves. The fence is beautiful and straight and sturdy and I couldn't be happier! Highly recommend.

I was completely and positively happy with my new Barrier fence! Our fence is the best looking one in the neighborhood. I reached out to them and was quickly contacted by Paul who scheduled a site visit at my convenience, went over some design options and negotiated a fair and reasonable price. Rick and his installation team arrived on time, worked diligently and were professional and friendly throughout the build.

These guys really know their business. With almost 25 years of fence building expertise, minor modifications were a snap, the fence was completed on time and feels like it will stand true for many years to come. The fence is sturdy, straight and level. Even now in the dead of winter, my yard looks great thanks to this beautiful fence.

Awful. Just hope they get it right on the first attempt. They will not return emails or phone calls. The crew that came out to do the work poured cement all over our yard. They also messed up sprinkler heads. I have left messages for two people and no response. There are numerous fencing companies here in Austin. Do not trust this one with your fencing needs.

Recent stormy weather blew down two or three sections of my old back yard fence. I contacted Barrier and they quoted me $400 (their minimum) and, after a couple of delays, came out and repaired it. It's.okay. But, they mentioned returning to finish up a couple of things such as protruding screws and never did. They also stopped replying to my polite queries by phone and email. Only reason I can think of why is that I'd already paid by then. 10/25 UPDATE: Barrier has since contacted me and returned to cut off the protruding screws.

Fence installation is ok but they broke my sprinkle system. I have 7 zones. 2 of them are no longer working after installation. Call the sales, he said he'll check with the worker and call me back. Nothing. So be careful to use their service especially you have underground systems.

Working with Paul was a great experience. Everything was completed EXACTLY as he said it would be. I wish my dealings with all contractors went half this well.

Repaired our fence when others could not do it. The crew was professional and very courteous. My fence along side was all gone to get some construction work. When they finished it was better than the original. I highly recommend them.

Barrier provides a quality product and excellent customer service. The representative worked with me to fit the project within my budget without sacrificing quality.

These guys are awesome! Do yourself a favor, save the headache. If you need a fence, just call Barrier Fence. I got a couple of quotes from different companies, all of which were very similar from a price standpoint. However, I got a great feeling about Dean with Barrier so I went with my gut. We live in Lakeway and the permit process was very difficult, but Dean did everything he could (including meeting me at the office in Lakeway on FOUR different occasions to help me secure a permit) and taking pictures and surveys that they requested.

He is very knowledgeable, helpful and a down to earth good guy. He's a straight shooter. He keeps you in the loop and takes care of everything. His crew was also outstanding. They were very thorough and clean. They don't rush, but they are very efficient and completed the job quicker than I thought. The fence looks amazing and the dogs love having a back yard they can run freely in. Thank you, Dean, your crew and Barrier Fence.

When I first started looking for a new fence I didn't know how to proceed. I started shopping Home Depot and Lowes to see what was available, and being a woman I didn't know what was good or bad, or who to trust. I was referred to Barrier Fence Systems and I couldn't be happier.

Barrier installed a 60' iron fence in our backyard with an ornamental fence in only one day! The workers were professional and efficient. They informed of us of potential problems, gave suggestions but empowered us to make the best decision for our backyard. I hired barrier fence after a storm blew off my yard gate. They came out in a timely manner and gave an accurate estimate for a new gate and replacement of some old posts. I do not have a fancy yard or fence and they worked with me to use my existing fence and did Not try to oversell me. They provided what I needed and even took out an old cement post holder that had nothing to do with the part of the fence they were fixing.

After the installation I had a small problem with the gate and they came back and fixed it. I've had work done on my house for other things (windows and a tile installation) and contractors did not come out to fix small problem after dozens of calls and emails. Barrier Fence is a company with integrity.

I bought my first home and needed a new fence for the front yard and couldn't have asked for a better experience. I worked with DJ and he was extremely attentive, thoughtful, and easy to work with. I changed my mind a few times about what I wanted, and it wasn't a problem even though some of my changes were last minute. Mark & his crew did a spectacular job on our new cedar privacy fence. I had 3 different companies come out and give us a quote on replacing the fence, and they beat out all of the competition. The crew worked so fast (without sacrificing quality) And now we have a beautiful new fence and I couldn''t be happier! (even receiving multiple compliments from the neighbors!)

Barrier Fencing Rocks! I shopped around and found comparable deals but felt the most at ease with Dean and his crew from Barrier Fencing. Aside from the fact that their reputation is impeccable and the finished product fabulous, Dean is honest as the day is long and nice as can be! I prefer giving my hard earned money to folks I like. From the initial meeting to calling on Barrier months later (wind blew the gate and damaged it- Barrier promptly came out and fixed it for free) they have been nothing but professional, courteous and hard working. After replacing my cedar fence once before, I decided to switch out and replace the backyard fencing with ornamental iron fencing. DJ came to my house, listened to my concerns and requests, and promptly provided an itemized bid, just as I had asked. I received bids from two other companies as well. But I chose Barrier in large part because DJ gave thorough explanations and answered all of my questions quickly.

I ended up going with a fencing that was more expensive than what was first quoted. I could not be happier and my neighbors are pleased as well. The crew was courteous and skilled and left the worksite in good shape each day before leaving. I would recommend Barrier Fencing for any job and can speak from experience to the excellent work they do with residential ornamental fencing.

Barrier did a big heavy 8 foot cedar fence for my back yard. I live against a rented 2 story frat / flop house. This fence solved about 98% of the sight line situation and it makes the entire back side of my yard private and secluded. I'm still adjusting to the shock. This is a strong fence with heavy grade galvanized steel poles, jack hammered into rock, based with concrete.

Excellent work, good communication about exactly what I wanted to happen. I have to say that the City of Austin permitting process is a bear. This was an enormous bother to get orchestrated and for a 78 foot stretch of fence, the City charged me $563.00 for permitting and inspection. Ridiculous. Barrier is a busy company, so call way ahead.

DO NOT HIRE BARRIER FENCE SYSTEMS TO DO YOUR FENCE, UNLESS YOU ARE OK WITH LARGE GAPS AT THE BOTTOM, OUR 40 LBS DOG FIT UNDER THE FENCE. THEY DON'T WANT TO FIX IT! We share a fence with our neighbor, and paid half of our share. Efren, the Barrier Fence employee who we dealt with was aware that we were in the process of building a pool as we had discussed it with him. Furthermore, the entire pool and deck was flagged in our yard, which was impossible to miss. Unfortunately, we were not given a contract from Barrier as our neighbor negotiated with them, all we have from them is an invoice.

There are large gaps at the bottom of the fence, some as large as 7"-8", my 40lbs dog fits under it which defeats the purpose of a fence. Unfortunately, the company is unwilling to adjust the gaps and make them compliant with the city, because we don't have a contract with them. I believe it is the company responsibility to provide the client with a contract, they sure knew who to charge and send the invoice to when the time came to pay.

We have already paid them a significant amount of money, now Barrier wants to charge us extra, since they say Efren did not write our pool project in our neighbors contract. Extra money to fix an issue that could have been avoided in the first place had the fence been built properly. I would strongly advise anyone considering this company to walk in the opposite direction.

We ended up using Allied Fence & Security for the rest of our yard, since we were displeased with the craftsmanship of Barrier. You will not be disappointed if you chose Allied, they were professional, on time, and did a spectacular job.

The service and personal attention that we received from Barrier Fence Systems was exceptional. All aspects of the fencing were explained in detail and all of our questions were answered thoroughly. They set and met a schedule to install and complete the fencing. They are truly a high-caliber team. I highly recommend Barrier Fence Systems for all of your fencing needs.

With almost 700 new students starting at a new school, we had to meet the expectations for arrival and departure safety, playground security and other site related safety issues - all in a very tight time frame. Mark Williams with Barrier Fence Systems gave us his personal attention to make the fencing right, suggesting changes that made it work and look better for us.

I needed two types of fencing, wood and iron but had some budget concerns. Paul took the time to make sure he know what I was looking to do and gave me different options for consideration. The work was done in two days and I felt like I got the fence I wanted at a very reasonable price without having to sacrifice the quality. I can't recommend Paul and his crew enough.

I had a good, but not great experience with Barrier Fence Systems. We needed a fence to be but up at a house we were moving into rather quickly. Paul was extremely attentaive, gave us a quck estimate which was lower than the competition by a significant amount, and worked with us to have the fense installed in a timely manner. The materials were also of good quality. However, to have the top of the fence slope with the terrain, they left some rather large gaps at the bottom of the fence which I then had to address.

They also use only a two run system (top and bottom) without having a middle runner. They really should specify that in the bid and contract. If we ever needed another fence, I'd consider using them again but would significantly tighten up the contract.

Mark and his team were just awesome for our fence. They came out on short notice to provide a quote, they cleared out a crazy, crazy amount of forest blocking the fence, they built a beautiful fence for our family on difficult terrain, and did it all at a reasonable price. And, as if that wasn't enough, just a couple days ago I noticed that the latch on one of the gates was starting to be difficult to close. I emailed Mark and Pablo came out to take care of it at no cost the same day. Just awesome. Thank you, Barrier Fence Systems!

A+ and so easy to work with. Efren came out and got me a bid within 48 hours and my back fence was replaced within a couple days. Very fast, very professional, the guys were terrific and communication was excellent and thorough. Efren was running 5 minutes late in traffic, and called, that kind of consideration is much appreciated. In addition to the great service, their bid was significantly less than another I received, and they did a great job salvaging the good wood from my damaged fence. Can't recommend highly enough.
