Andrew is awesome! He is the owner operator of NW Grout Works. We needed to have some old grout removed/replaced in a shower. He finished early and under budget. Looks great! He's super nice, professional, courteous, knowldegable. Would absolutely hire him again. :

Our home is pretty new, but the grout was failing in a few places in our kitchen and shower. Andy was great, and our grout is now super clean, smooth, and solid and we're very happy with his work.

The goal in our new (30 yr old house) is to make everything look as new as possible. Our shower stall and sink area was suffering with stain and mildew that would not come clean. Thanks to Andrew our tile work literally looks like new. The tile shines and the grout is now completely uniform in its complimentary color. Highly recommended!

Andy was great. He was dependable, timely and very meticulous in his work. We were extremely pleased. We had him redo our old shower and bathroom floor. The shower had major grout issues, The work he did looks fabulous. He was focused right away on some moisture issues in the corner of our shower floor where the old grout had deteriorated, and was conscientious in ensuring not to do that floor area until it was totally dry in the crevices where the old grout had failed. It took a few days for a dehumidifier to do its job, and he was flexible in returning to finish up the job. He is also very pleasant to work with. An A+.

Andy was great to work with and did a fantastic job cleaning, sealing, and caulking our shower. Our home is fairly new, but the tile and surround was not properly installed, so it was discolored and the grout and caulk was cracking and mildewed. I would definitely recommend Andy and would use him again if we have issues.

Andrew did an excellent job with our kitchen and master bath shower. He was on time and very clean in his work. Andrew provided suggestions for maintenance and general cleaning moving forward. I highly recommend his work!

I talked to Andy at NW Groutworks, sent him photos, made an appointment for him to come and look at the work required. He didn't show up for the appointment so I called, texted and emailed him to reschedule. He never returned the call. He was really professional on the phone, but.totally, completely unprofessional in his lack of follow-up. Giving 1 star is generous.

In February of 2020 I reached out to NW Groutworks regarding the tile grout in one of my bathrooms cracking. I was fairly certain water was getting through to the backing. Andrew responded promptly and asked me to send pictures by email. He was able to quickly tell me what needed to be done but he also told me he was closing his business due to the lockdown.

We connected again when things got moving and Andrew spent time hunting down the grout that had previously been used. He spent a lot of time trying to contact the company and finally realized that that line of grout had been discontinued. Long story short, he came and completed the job with an alternative. He was efficient and it was very easy to connect with and communicate with him. Our bathroom is functioning much better after his fix, and I am very happy with his help despite all the challenges that COVID threw at us.

Highly recommend! Andrew was absolutely great to work with - a professional in every way. Even though our house is relatively new, we still needed major replacement work done to the original grout in our kitchen and 3 bathrooms last fall. He was truly a skilled expert at matching a complicated color scheme of our old grout and providing high quality work.

We needed some additional work done this past year and we didn't hesitate calling Northwest Grout Works again. Each time Andrew was prompt, easy to work with and respectful of COVID protocols. Can't do better!

Andrew did such an amazing job. We had grout damage from a roof leak, and it looks like new now. He also restored our master shower grout, which looks like new too. If you want an honest, hard working, and highly skilled person to do your grout work, give NW Groutworks a call.

Andrew worked hard to provide an accurate quote before completing the job. He also educated and explained what would occur to make our bathroom area seal correctly. He followed covid safety protocols during the pre-inspection and during the jobs. He completed both of our bathrooms quickly and notified us of future areas to monitor for repair in the future. Excellent customer service, fair price, great communication and a quality job. We will definitely hire Andrew again for any grout needs!

We recently purchased a home in SE Portland and the master shower was a bit dated.i did some research and came across Northwest Grout Works and saw the great reviews and photos so i called them to set an appointment. Andrew promptly called me (he is a one man shop so it may take a little time for him to respond but worth it) and he had me send photos of the shower he then called and was able to give me a good ballpark guesstimate and he did highlight there could be some unseen issues once he went to work (i like being forwarned of potential problems before the work).we agreed on a price range, he came to do personal inspection and we signed the paperwork and we were off and running.the results were outstanding! highly recommend Andrew and NW GROUT WORKS! We have a bathroom that's just a few years old, but the builders didn't seal the grout so we were seeing some discoloration and some cracks starting to form. Andrew did a fantastic job on it! It looks gorgeous now. Andrew was also really awesome to communicate with. Very fast to respond, and gave super detailed and helpful explanations about what he was doing and why it mattered. We'll definitely go with Northwest Grout Works for all future grout jobs.

We previously completed extensive bathroom remodeling. The contractor we were recommended had caulked the new tub-ceramic tile interface areas in what appeared to be a solid job. Then, within months, the caulk peeling began. After four separate attempts to fix this ourselves (with the aid of warehouse store advice, online tutorials, and DIY textbooks), we gave up when the last caulking peeled away.

We searched for a professional to come in and do this job correctly. Multiple telephone interviews yielded what seemed to be over-promising and canned responses as to what we had done wrong. When we spoke with Andrew at NW Grout Works, it was a different experience. Andrew met us in our home and inspected our bathroom areas. He explained the possible reasons why our attempts had failed.

He detailed how he planned to prep the areas to be caulked and reviewed with us materials he would use. We learned our failed attempts were likely multifactorial but included possible incorrect prep work or the chosen caulking agent. On the day we scheduled for the work, Andrew was right on time. He completed the work as described and even a bit earlier than anticipated.

He also made sure we were satisfied with the completed repair work and outlined the job warranty before he left. It is now a pleasure to use our bathrooms again and admittedly a bit exciting to see the tub and shower areas looking so beautiful. We could not be more pleased with our bathroom work experience with Andrew at NW Grout Works!

I left two voicemails and sent 1 email. No one call back at all? Hmmm. Are they not accepting new work, if so, they should still call back!

I just had our 45-year-old shower regrouted by Northwest Grout Works, and it is like NEW. It went from something too embarrassing to show in a "before" photo to looking bright and clean and brand new. I am very impressed. The technician worked two full 8-hour days to do the job, and cleaned up afterward. I highly recommend these folks.

I was super impressed with him (James) from the second he came and gave me a bid. Showed up on time, took a look at the scope of the project, provided the bid, got me scheduled. but it was the last thing he said to me as he left. I really appreciate your business. It was very nice to hear this! (James) Came out today and he did a GREAT job on my shower.

There is a warranty and I felt the pricing was very fair. I would definitely recommend this company as I had two other bids that did not come close to making me feel that the job would be done to my expectations!

Update: NW Grout Works reached out to me that they accepting work again, which is great. I contacted them and haven't engaged them yet, but appreciated their follow-up. I'll post again when they have done work for me. Original review: I have not worked with them and so cannot review their quality of work, but just wanted to let other Yelpers know that they are not currently taking on any new clients per their voice message.

Wish they would put something like that on this page or their website. I already emailed them and now I see why never responded. Also, it would be nice if they would refer to another reputable contractor.

Explained thoroughly what needed to be done in our shower. He wrote the estimate right there same day as coming out. You can't say that for other contractors. I then scheduled the work.

Just in case you might use this letter with potential customers, I want them to know this was an unsolicited recommendation. I wanted to write you something because I was so impressed with your work on the Hillsboro house we own and are renovating to put on the market to sell. The tile that you re-did in the kitchen and three bathrooms looks like it was just newly installed.

No problem! We just appreciated the call. Very respectful! He worked on the shower all day and explained things again thoroughly. He notified us when an issue came up. Told us to call him if anything was wrong down the line. He even fixed a small patch of grout on my kitchen island for me for free! My 10 year old shower looks brand new! I can't say enough good things about this company! Stop reading this, call them and hire them immediately! You will not be disappointed!

I was not home for most of the work, but did get back before James finished. At that time he was applying the silicone caulking around the shower door. After he finished, he asked me to step inside the shower and inspect the work. I noted a small area of missing grout in a top corner, which he then filled with caulking. After I accepted the work, he cleaned everything up.
