The same after hours line responded to the number here for Midland as did for Reliance Air Conditioning & Heat Services. I'll write the same review since the phone conversation was identical: I have elderly living in my home and a child and my ductless mini splits are not cooling the home and everyone is extremely uncomfortable in the heat. I called to ask for someone to look at our units, and the lady who answered said that they can send someone out for an estimate but it will cost me $400. Just to get the estimate. Ludicrous.

My AC stopped working on Wednesday afternoon, they had a guy out here next day, and it was fixed by Thursday afternoon. Great work, and the technician, Josh, was one of the friendliest and most informative people I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Price was cheaper than expected, too! Definitely going to be calling on these guys for any future issues, and will highly recommend them to anyone else in the area.

Please read this review. I paid the $99 to have Midland come out to check a disconnected gas line for my heater. Within less than 5 minutes, the Field Rep diagnosed that he could not fix the issue. If I am to pay $99 for the repair person to say they cannot fix my issue, I expect that I can ask them about another small issue I had with my AC unit.
The representative inspected the AC unit and wrote up a quote for the AC unit repair. I was charged a total of $139 for the 30 minute consultation visit. I called the main office to dispute the additional charges. The rep on the phone scoffed and almost laughed at me over the additional $40. He eventually told me that their company would mail me a check for the $40.
I never received the check. I later emailed their customer service support contact explaining the entire situation. They acknowledged that original email, but when I emailed them again asking when I could expect my $40, they never replied. I followed up on my un-responded to email 3 days later, and still have yet to receive a reply. While I know $40 is not a lot of money, I still feel obligated to share my experience with this company.
They were unprofessional, rude, and created an overall poor experience for me. I'm glad I did not give them my business and I went with another company to complete the repair work.

I know great customer service, having been a crew member at Trader Joe's for 11 1/2 years, so I can say without reservation that Midland Heating & Cooling has great customer service. Since 2016, each member of the Midland team with whom I've had contact is friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable and dependable. My house has a high tech, high efficiency, Slant Fin gas boiler that demands from each part and from every service absolute precision. Midland techs keep at it until they get it right.
In addition to accolades, critical feedback is a responsibility of being a good customer, so I offer this: Midland will benefit from a tighter focus on constant incremental improvements in returning voice messages sooner and leaving jobs cleaner. Perfection is only an aspiration, and so if possible I'd give Midland a 4 1/2 star rating.

We used Midland and had a great experience with John, the HVAC Technician they sent out. Dispatch was very communicative and worked to fit our scheduling needs. The technician was on time and took extra effort to talk me through his diagnostic process and what could be done during the 30 minute session, and what next steps could look like. Overall very professional and worth the money!

This entire team from the owner down are amazing. I called on a very cold morning with a problem with my HVAC at my restaurant, and they had someone out to fix it within an hour. A young technician with great courtesy and manner worked on our central outdoor air conditioning unit for the house during the heat wave, he was patient to explain the problem after some diagnosis, and finished his job for a replacement of some parts outside and double checking everything inside, fairly thorough. Would defuse it again if anything happened.
The charge was 300+ dollars, but I guess any of those maintenance work wouldn't be cheap with other shops either, so we're quite satisfied with it. At least they didn't do sweet talking to sell you on replacing the whole unit etc, you know? Lewis

Josh did a great and very thorough job with our HVAC tuneup and service call today. He answered all our questions and although we didn't ultimately find the cause of the exhaust smell, I feel much better about running our AC and knowing that it got some TLC today. Todd and his team were prompt, helpful, and completed a professional installation of our new furnace and ac unit. Dan, the install manager, made sure that initial recommendations upon quote would be most effective for our home. Lonnie and the install team took special care in hooking up an existing minisplit we had as well. Overall, my experience with Midland was great and I would definitely recommend them to others.

My furnace went out in my out of state rental property. I knew i likely needed a new system so I called 5 different companies on a Saturday afternoon and got nowhere. To my surprise Todd (the owner) with Midland heating promptly answered the phone and said he could be to the house within 24 hrs. He ended up going within a couple hours of our phone call which was awesome. Gave me a very reasonable price on installing a new furnace and ac and had the job completed on Monday. Amazing service! Great prices! I highly recommended.

I don't post ratings but with the summer heat, I want others to avoid my experience. As a company, Midland heating and cooling is awesome, came out within 24 hours of me calling, Karen was great with explaining things and answering my questions however their up charge on parts is why I give my rating. She diagnosed the issue instantly, the capacitor needed to be replaced.
She told me the price which seemed high but my house was 88 degrees so I said fine, replace it because I wanted to make sure that was the only issue. I knew it was up charged vs me buying one myself but when I later looked up the price I was pretty ticked off, the exact capacitor cost $10. but the $90 trip fee turned into $369. That was an expensive lesson. (But I'm happy it's fixed).

We needed some boiler repair done last winter, found Midland and they worked out well. Signed up for the service contract to cover the bolier and A/C for a year. This spring, they came out and checked the A/C as promised. While the technician was here, I asked forma quote on some boiler work. He took some pictures, gave me a rough quote and said he would follow-up with the details.
A few weeks go by and I never hear from them. I call the office and Kyle, the office manager, says he saw the pictures and would I like a quote? Well, yes, Kyle, that was the idea. We make an appointment for 2 weeks away at 1030 with Dan. The morning of the appointment, I am waiting around the house until 1100.no one shows up. I call the office and. Dan answers.
He says he changed the appointment by email ( which he sent to the wrong person). And while he never got a response the that email, he was content to assume they appointment had been changed. He would be happy to schedule another time for a quote for next week. Not later today, not tomorrow but next week. No effort at all to make this happen. No apology for wasting my time. No further work from me.

I was in a panic when the fan on my A/C wouldn't spin and we just started a hot weather streak before a holiday. Midland was able to help me the same day and arrived on time. Maria was very nice and explained the problem that was happening and fixed it on the spot. I wish the price would have been a little lower, but sometime getting it fixed right away is worth it!
