Todd the owner was the first guy we called in 2001 when we first moved to rochester when we were having problems with our furnace. He showed up the same day and fixed. Since then he has repaired air conditioning units and furnace several times never trying to up sell me new units. As it stands when I decided to get a new furnace and ac unit I called him.

He was so reasonably price we went with him. Nit only did he do a outstanding job with the install.my utility bill dropped 150 to 200 a month and my house was quiet as I never Even here the units kick on.tonight.on Saturday I came home with a hot water tank leaking and called him.he was here in less than 2 hours and put a new tank in.this man is one of two I have met that take pride in his business and does everything to please his customers.if you need furnace Ac or hot water tanks call this man you won't be disappointed

My furnace was out of order this morning. I googled local heating and cooling companies and called each one. Berkeley was the only company that can send a technician out on the same day. Steve went above and beyond to fix the problem. Thanks!

I hired Berkeley to replace 2x furnaces in my multi-family home in Rochester. My existing furnaces were functional, but very old and in need of replacement. The great: Workmanship looks awesome. They were able to schedule my job in on short notice (< 1 week). They were able to accommodate my preferences with the installation (vent location). Efficient and clean when onsite and cleaned up everything when they were done. Also, their price was great even when compared to bids I received for lower efficiency units (they installed 96% units).

Room for improvement: Communication was a bit too reactive on their end for my taste. For example, what was billed as a 1-2x day project stretched out a bit longer ~1 week from start to finish. To be clear my heat was never off for more than a couple hours, they just ran into delays with materials and schedule conflicts with their crew. Those things happen, and I understand, but I only really got updates when I inquired after waiting for someone to arrive on a handful of occasions.

I would have appreciated more proactive communication on project progress/schedule delays/etc., but all said and done this was only a minor inconvenience for me. Bottom line: I would hire them again, so they get my recommendation.

I was skeptical at first about their service at first on Facebook due to I need to buy my own supply at the location that they recommended. So I got a good talk with Stephen that I need about his company name, experience, etc. After that, I agreed to go along with him. He and his brother in-laws were very friendly. They load up supply stuffs at the supply store, and then they followed me back to my home to install Goodman heating furnace.

They installed it less than 2 hours due to my furnace was 80% efficiency. They also left unused supply for me to return as well. So that was a plus to save extra cash. Besides that, Berkeley cooling and heating is offered great price for my heating furnace. Therefore, I would recommend this small business that they can offer great service and very reasonable price as well. Serious issue of incomplete work and non-responsiveness. My mother (81 years old) paid Berkeley to install furnace/ac unit at condo that she (and I) own in July 2019. Paid in full at time of installation (probably a mistake.) Not only has AC never worked properly but it leaked and caused damage to interior walls, ceiling and lights. Representatives have been out and promised to fix it but have not done so. Two years and issue is still unresolved, and Berkeley is not responding to phone calls or letter. Further action required.

We had an issue that caused the furnace to shut off. The only company willing to come same day was Berkeley. Not only did they come same day, Steve and Dillon were just buttoning up the finishing touches on a new wiring system when the owner personally showed up to make sure we had heat tonight. Would recommend them to anyone with a service or installation need. Fair rates and unparalleled service

Berkeley Heating & Cooling is our go-to HVAC service provider for over 12 years. They installed the original system in our home and have maintained it in tip top condition since. When we added a wine cellar to our dining room, Todd & Co once again provided superior service by recommending the right-sized make & model chiller. They persistently overcame several technical challenges to get the unit to work properly, making the project a huge success. Berkeley's service is a great value and they stand behind their work.

Berkeley Heating and Cooling gave us a great price with an amazing warranty deal. Other places we tried to get a quote from said it be weeks until they could get to us. But Berkeley was able to give us a quote and get the job done in just a few days! Todd and his crew of Stephen and Destin were quick with installing it (just a few hours) and were also incredibly knowledgeable about any maintenance and repair questions we had. We couldn't have asked for a more convenient experience.

Berkeley has installed both a new furnace and a/c for us within the past few years. I can not say enough good things about Todd and his crew! Everyone we've encountered at Berkeley is honest and knowledgeable about their products. After both the furnace and a/c were installed, Todd followed up with us to make sure we were happy with everything. Our old a/c unit quit in the middle of a Saturday night. Todd was in touch with us Sunday morning right away to set up a time to come look at it! We honestly will never use another heating and cooling company again!

Positive, Exceeded My Expectations and then some. Your Crew Had Us Back Up and Running Quickly. They are Extremely Professional and Committed in Finishing the Job and Making Sure it's Done Right. Todd goes above and beyond for his clients and I can't thank him and his team enough! A friend recommended I call Berkeley, after I had called several other places and was getting a)intentional misinformation and b) incredibly frustrated.and cold! They jumped in and helped us, on a very busy weekend, when our furnace refused further fixing. There is so much I want to say to rave about regarding Berkeley Heating and Cooling.

But this is too long already! These guys work hard to do the job right, as quickly as possible BUT without cutting corners. They truly care about their clients and their prices are excellent. Several local competitors now swindle you into their businesses by offering financing, but charge you more for their product and services. You'd be much better off with Berkeley. Todd, the proprietor, is truly a kind, caring guy who responds quickly to concerns and questions.

He and his team are committed to filling their promises (on our day of service it meant squeezing in 2 domestic emergency furnace replacements while also doing a major commercial job) with excellence. We are truly grateful for their service, professional advice, and I couldn't recommend their work more highly. Todd is a gem, and truly makes you feel like a valued customer from the very first call.

This company is a scam! The owner hires scam-artists /drug addicts and thugs. I hired him to do two jobs. The first, seemed like it was done, but it turned out to be essentially a temporary fix and 2 weeks later the problem is worse--but he has not returned. Even after promising to return several times--I waited, he never showed--every time with a bullshit excuse.

The second job was handled by his subcontractor who took money for a "new" compressor which it turns out is almost 30 years old!--and needless to say doesn't work! Once cash was given to his employee to purchase freon, parts etc. his employee disappeared--never finished the work--never answered the over 30 phone calls I have made--never came back again!- When I was finally able to get a hold of the employee it was only by calling from a different phone!

The employee sounded like he was literally on heroin or pain pills at the time--was luring speech and not making sense while I was talking to him--I instantly figured out where the money went! This company is a fraud! $2500 later--heating and cooling system is broken (probably made worse from them touching it) and an ice machine is laying in pieces with a 30 year old "new" replacement compressor--also not working. I feel like crap for trusting them--didn't realize such horrible people were out there.

Berkeley Heating and Cooling converted my boiler / radiator system to a forced air / furnace and air conditioning system. They ran all new duct work in my walls and I could not be happier with the work they did!
