Had Maidtopia for several years but over the past 8 months it's been a terrible service. We've had repeated issues with cleaners calling in sick or being not available and the cleaning quality suffered as a result. We've also had two instances where the cleaner failed to lock the door on the way out leaving our home open to theft. One time we were out of town and the door was open for almost 24 hours. Do not recommend this service. They're not expensive but also not the quality service they once were.

Maidtopia Cleaning Services has been our go-to housekeeping maid service for years. We value the timeliness and thorough nature of the service and our cleaners have always done a great job. With both cats and dogs, it's important that a cleaning service is pet-friendly. That has always been the case with Maidtopia and they also use pet-friendly products! We're so glad this company has been there for us for years and recommend them highly.

I have been using Maidtopia for about 2 years now and I have never been disappointed! With 2 little ones my floors can get sticky and nasty! The girls at Maidtopia are awesome and my floors are like new after every cleaning! I love maidtopia and highly recommend!

One word. PERFECT! This was our first time using Maidtopia Cleaning Service and it won't be our last. They cleaned things we didn't even know needed cleaning and reminded us what it was like to step into a new smelling home. I would completely recommend them to anyone! :

I'm so glad we utilized Maidtopia Cleaning Service for a 'move-out clean' of our old apartment. She did a wonderful job! She was very thorough and the place smelled great too. I can't believe she was able to get the carpet as clean as she did. We were able to focus on moving in to our new space instead of stressing over cleaning the old. I'm so thankful for her help

Good price, and great service! They gave me a quote right away. I contacted them on Friday, and were able to do my Maidtopia cleaning service on Monday. They were prompt and did a great job, my place looks cleaner than it ever has. My husband said e should have scheduled them for a move-in cleaning at our new place too.

Maidtopia has taken care of our house cleaning needs for a while now and even cleaned our apartment while we waited for our new house to be built. We love the biweekly service! The main office has great communication and the cleaners are very detail-oriented. Customer satisfaction is a primary concern and the team does a great job. They are trustworthy and pet friendly also.very important to us!

Absolutely the worst service I've ever seen! Do not use this service.! We had a move out cleaning and the cleaners showed up 30 minutes late, only did half of the house and left. The half they did had to be re-done. I urge you not to use this service and look elsewhere.

Booked for a move out cleaning, and they said they would arrive between 11:30 and 12:30. Took work off early to meet them and let them into the complex, and didn't receive one notice from them that they'd be late. Finally, I gave them a call at 12:30 before my lunch break and they said they were about to leave their previous home, so I left my apartment door propped open. Came back from lunch at 2:30 to see the job their did and STILL NOBODY HAD SHOWED UP and they gave no notice to me, and ANYONE could've waltzed into my apartment during that time.

Finally they arrived and I explained the list required my apartment complex for move out and left a hard copy on the counter top with specific instructions. They assured me it would all get done. Came back and I wouldn't even deem this acceptable for a regular cleaning, let along "move in" ready. Dust was everywhere, half the cabinets weren't cleaned, outsides of the appliances had not been touched, and the fridge and freezer WEREN'T EVEN OPENED, LET ALONE CLEANED. NEVER using this company again Update: if the owner plans on commenting back, which by the looks of other reviews, probably will happen- instead of firing back at angry customers (there's a lot of them. And probably a reason why) fix your business first.

Please DO NOT use this company (Maidtopia Cleaning Services), they are a scam. I recently hired this company to perform a deep house cleaning in Del Valle, TX. First, they sent someone who does not speak English, and they did a terrible job in my house. Cleaning was not done properly, she left without mapping the floor. I called the company and they have the worse customer service I ever experienced in my life. First, they did not response to the multiple phone calls from 11 AM - 5 pm on a Friday.

They however, keep responding to my emails claiming they were in meeting/training for the rest of the day. When I voiced my concerns, they claimed that no one is available to come finish the work. I was going out of town that Saturday and won't be back until Wednesday of next week after 6 pm. They stated that they can come redo it only on Wednesday when I already told them I am out of town.

I proposed Friday since I am off on Friday's, but they said that's too long for them to come clean. After, multiple communications, they requested picture of my when I am already out of the house. Long story short, please stay away from Maidtopia Cleaning Services. They are one of the scams in the City of Austin! Take the time up front to hire a more professional team.it will be worth it in the end. Stay away from them.

I was really happy when I called and they said they could make a next day appointment, since many of the negative reviews I read were about their lack of responsiveness. The person showed up at 10:30 for a 12:00 appointment, which was weird but worked fine for me. She was friendly and got to work pretty quickly. I had purchased a 3-hour cleaning for my 3 bd 2.5 bath home and was shocked when after an hour and 45 minutes she said she was all done and headed for the door.

I reminded her that I had purchased 3-hours of cleaning and she responded that she had finished everything and that there was nothing else to do. I told her she didn't even dust the blinds and she seemed annoyed but quickly wiped the blinds with a rag & then left. I gave her space while she was working- just as I would want for myself when I am working- but after she left I saw that she didn't even wipe the shower walls, bother lifting the rug in my daughter's room to vacuum under it, vacuum behind the door, do a good job with the kitchen floor, wipe the cabinets, clean the oven, or really get the corners and baseboards (which is what I asked her to do). Definitely a disappointment.

Tried to use this service and no one would return my calls or emails. After setting up an appointment and waiting at home, no one showed up. Called back and they said someone would come by later that day and again, no show. After calling back and emailing to reschedule, no one would get back to me again.

Looking for a cleaning service. RE-think going to Maidtopia for the following issues I've encountered myself: 1. Hard to get ahold of 2. Do not coordinate nor call when entering or in property 3. Poor cleaning and had to RECLEAN 4. Will charge you 2x as they will get your credit information via phone 5. Maidtopia has poor communication skills for a business 1. I'm thinking that the owner/operator Emma screen calls as she was easy to get ahold of when making initial appointment BUT hard to reach afterwards.

I even emailed them thru Yelp page but no answer. Left a voicemail prior to my reservation but still. NADA. Finally got ahold of her on the day of cleaning. 2. Cleaner got in my apartment earlier than scheduled without calling us or letting us no. Which was not an issue because the place was already empty when she arrived 3. After initial cleaning, we did a walk through and although cleaner got some cleaned like sink, fridge, oven and bathrooms, she missed just as much tasks like vacuuming, dusting the blinds properly, sweeping properly, cleaning the kitchen countertops and clean the kitchen stove. 4.

Because I do not trust this business for poor communication and crappy cleaning service, I made sure to double check my credit card charges and viola! 2 charges from maidtopia which didn't surprise me whatsoever. Now id yet to have again call tomorrow and try to get ahold of Emma to dispute. 5. I have never had the worst communication with a business until this one. It's as if Emma understands you but does the exact opposite.

Terrible terrible. The make-ready costs $135 with 1 cleaner without specific hours of service which is pretty cheap. Hence the reason why I didn't expect much, but at least try to clean and not make it noticeable your lack of effort. Gosh. To Emma, if you ever read this, I understand that you and your company is trying to redeem yourself through posting deals on Groupon but maybe you should work on improving your services first before inviting new customers because honestly, with such crappy service, Maidtopia will not last long.

This cleaning service is amazing! I needed my house cleaned after moving out and was so impressed by the quality and professionalism of this company! they are simply amazing. They cleaned the whole house for $85! And they were able to get in and clean even with me not being present! The house looked amazing and so clean it shinned! They even folded the toilet paper like a hotel! I will definitely be using them again!

The ladies are nice but costumer service sucks. Since the first time I should've cancelled my service. They don't come on time, saying the office didn't send them the correct address, the second time came late for almost 2 hours. I hated their unfriendliness and lack of support when they don't confirm they appointments and say that it's my fault because I didn't read my mail.

Although we've communicated through mail they sent it to the wrong address. If you want to be treated as a valued costumer for the amount of money you are paying. don't use Maidtopia.

My family and I have been using Maidtopia for about a year and we've been very satisfied with the service. Our house is cleaned biweekly by Reyna and she's the best cleaner we've had with Maidtopia. She's detail oriented and very quick. I'm always disappointed if we have to do a schedule change and Reyna's not available. Maidtopia is reliable with their scheduling which is why we've used them for over a year.

Our previous service would usually start late or cancel last minute. I'm hoping that Maidtopia will stay reliable and maintain their quality so that we can continue to use their service.

Purchased the three hour cleaning deal through Groupon. Was very pleased with their work. They got most of our list done in the three hour block and the quality of work seemed to be high. My only caution is that they used a cleaning chemical that hung very heavily in the air through the house for the rest of the day. It irritated my lungs pretty badly and made me start coughing.

We had to open several windows and air out the house. They also charge additional sales tax on top of the Groupon, so be aware. Overall, pleased with the work and can recommend.

One of my favorite things to do for my clients is give them the gift of a clean home. Coming home to a clean house after closing or not having to deal with cleaning the house after you sell makes the process a lot less stressful. Maidtopia is the only service I use for the job. They are responsive and do great work. Prices are very reasonable too. My clients are always very happy.

I cant say enough about Maidtopia! I searched and tried many different cleaning services for over 6 months and none come close to the level of detail that you get from them. I have been with them for over a year now and will continue my service with out a doubt! I highly recommend the bi-weekly cleanings. :

Before Maidtopia, I had only had one house cleaning experience in my life, and it was the worst interaction with a business I had ever had. With life, work, and traveling, my house (with four fur babies O.o) desperately needed to be cleaned though, and I'm so glad I reconsidered hiring someone when I came across Maidtopia's deal on Living Social!

Before purchasing the deal, I gave Maidtopia a call and talked to Kim. I briefly mentioned my awful past experience, and she reassured me by setting up an appointment with one of her favorite cleaners, Adela. I ended up booking a three hour cleaning, and Kim also emailed a checklist of all the cleaning services they offered so I was able to number off everything that I wanted done in whatever order so that Adela could make sure to get to the most important stuff first in case time ran out. Realistically, three hours is not enough time to deep clean a sizeable house, and I think it's a great idea that this kind of list is provided. Adela was AMAZING.

She was such a hard worker, and she exceeded my expectations in the more important rooms that she was really able to spend time on. When she started to run out of time, she checked in with me to make sure the not as detailed cleaning was okay before she moved on to the last few areas to finish up. Maidtopia, keep her forever if y'all can- this lady deserves a raise! I will always come back to this company anytime my house needs a good cleaning as long as Adela is around.

We have used Maidtopia multiple times over the last 2 years and will continue to use them as long as we live in the Austin area. The main thing is that cleaning is up to par, if not more than what I expect (I spot check every time!) and the customer service is always on point.

I've been using Maidtopia for a few years now. What they accomplish in a couple of hours what would take me the better part of a day to do on my own, and for a good price, too. Sometimes I'm home during the cleaning and I've found the ladies to be friendly and hardworking.

I found Maidtopia through a Living Social coupon. I contacted the company to get some details and they honored the coupon price through them directly. I had read the reviews before making my purchase, so I knew they were pretty mixed. They sent one lovely lady to do a deep cleaning in 3 hours. She worked really hard, and did a good job. I think a deep clean in three hours is a pretty tall order for one person to complete.

Like a lot of the other reviews, she wasn't as thorough as I would have liked, but I fault the company, not her. I think a better job could have been done with at least an additional person. Would I ask request her to clean again, and do I think she would do a good job for maintenance cleaning? Yes. Would I buy another deep clean? No.

We have used Maidtopia multiple times over the last 2 years and will continue to use them as long as we live in the Austin area. The main thing is that cleaning is up to par, if not more than what I expect (I spot check every time!) and the customer service is always on point. We like the specialized 3-hour cleanings because I can just check off the things that I haven't been able to get to on their pre-made list and the housecleaner gets it done.

They are on time, if not early. Prices are reasonable and they will use their own products or yours if you'd like. We appreciate the flexibility that comes with such a tightly scheduled business. Thank you, Maidtopia, for making pregnancy and home-selling with little children in tow not seem so daunting!

I got to these folks thru Living Social.3 hour deal.needed an apartment cleaned to reacquire my security deposit. Irma (the cleaning lady) showed up a little early, fully equipped.she did everything in 3 hours as planned.she was very thorough. I passed the walk through without any issue. I see some other folks have had some issues; however, for what I needed they were great!

Maidtopia DOES NOT SECURE their clients' house keys. The cleaning ladies are nice enough and do a great job, but the management's practices regarding security border on just plain scary. I decided to discontinue service after a year, and asked that my key be mailed to me. Three weeks later, after seeing no key, I contacted them and was told they "just found it!" and it would be mailed.

A few days later, A KEY arrived, but it was not mine--it belonged to another client! I contacted them again--now almost four weeks after discontinuing service--and was told it was "safe and secure all along" (already heard that). They sent the nice (non-English-speaking) lady who had regularly cleaned my home--on her own time and in her own car--with a random assortment of keys to try in my lock, until one worked.

She also retrieved said mystery key belonging to some other unlucky schmuck. I'm surmising that perhaps they allow their maids to run around for a week or more with client house keys in tow, which makes them easily accessible to friends or relatives as well. I will add that I asked Maidtopia to reimburse me for the cost of rekeying my locks, since my key was in play somewhere for almost a month.

They agreed to do it on the date the locks were rekeyed, and now three weeks later, I have no refund for rekeying, and they are giving me the runaround again, saying that they need an invoice. When I threatened to contact the BBB if I didn't receive reimbursement by the end of the day, they didn't respond again at all. I hate to leave this review, but think of what can happen when strangers have the capability to enter your home at any time. Maidtopia doesn't even attempt to follow the security practices set out by larger cleaning companies, and I guess that saves them some time. Sadly, it seems they do not care about the safety of their clients and their property and families.

I purchasd a coupon for Maidtopia from LivingSocial.com for a discounted $67. A great deal for 3 hours (one cleaner) of household cleaning. While some companies say it'll be about 2 weeks for scheduling just to give themselves leeway, this company really means it. If you're buying their coupon, be prepared to wait (I waited exactly two weeks to the date, but was offered dates well beyond that).

Staff comes equipped with materials, but they aren't as high tech and thorough as other services. Rags/Sponges weren't interchanged (from what I could see) and some surfaces, even though cleaned, weren't as clean as I would have liked. Then, in other areas (the inside of my microwave, for example) was cleaned impeccably. On a scale of 1-10, I'd rate the service about a 7, but I'd give the cleaner an extra point for being cheery.

The other thing to note is that my cleaner only spoke Spanish. There's a checklist the service includes to communicate what's important to you to have cleaned during their visit, but I think the job would have been more effective if I could have spoken with her directly (sadly, while my 3 years of high school Spanish 22 years ago helped, it wasn't 100%).

Keep in mind you will need your credit card post-purchase, as this company charges sales tax (mine was $6.20). You can leave a tip for your cleaner at the same time if you wish.

Best cleaning service I have ever received. The first thought was that I could smell how clean my house was! I was amazed at how thorough the service I received was. I needed the living areas in my house cleaned. I made a special request that my couches be vacuumed because I had a cat that would always lay on the furniture. Afterwards, I could see the vacuum lines on the couch!

All of the areas I stressed as high priority cleaning were cleaned beyond my expectations! I had no idea how impressed I would be when I came home! Kim and her wonderful team really went above and beyond. They worked around my schedule and gave me all the proper expectations! I would recommend their services to everyone!

Thank you for the response -- even if it's nearly 5 months after my original posting, which is on track with your company's typical response time. I know it's easier to blame the client than to take accountability for your company's poor service, but other similar complaints posted on Yelp bout your company only serve to validate our complaint. I've since hired a cleaning service for the same price per cleaning, with two cleaners, and they are punctual, friendly, professional and always do an excellent job of cleaning our house.

As I said in my original post, there is far better service to be had for the money. While I understand that receiving so many negative reviews from dissatisfied customers must be frustrating to you as a business owner, I would recommend that in the future you avoid attacking clients when they complain about your service. Otherwise, prospective clients may fear that if they complain about your business that you will post the same type of grossly exaggerated details about the cleanliness of their houses in order to deflect blame away from your company.

They may also fear that, as you stated in your post, that your cleaning crew routinely photographs the inside of your clients' homes. The legality of this practice is, at best, iffy. Good luck with your business -- you're going to need it.

I purchased a Living Social coupon for three hours of cleaning for $65. I e-mailed to schedule an appointment and received a response the same day. They do two shifts M-F, between 8-9 and 1230-130. This might not work for some folks, but it worked for us. I like their form they have to fill out so the housekeeper knows what your priorities are (and helps you prioritize them as well!).

I e-mailed my request, my three top priorities and two extra items in case there was leftover time. I was truly disappointed when I saw the first housekeeper's work. Every job seemed halfway done. Bathrooms - baseboards weren't clean, trash wasn't emptied, one shower door was cleaned. Scuff marks on walls- cleaned halfway so the smudges were even more noticeable. Ovens- the walls were cleaned, but not the bottom, etc.

When you book your appointment they send a survey to rate the service. Instead I replied to the e-mail with some pictures. I received a response in less than 24 hours asking to send a new house cleaner the next day to address the items because that was not the service they provide. -Impressive The next day the house cleaner arrived and addressed all items except the scuff marks. Turns out the scuff marks are too deep for a spot clean, so I can respect the liability issue with that.

My husband said neither house cleaner spoke English. Not a big deal with the checklist and the booking agent, but something to note for others. Overall, I am happy with the service I received despite the original mishap.

Reasonably priced, efficient, thorough cleaning. We have a baby who is now crawling like crazy all over the house, and clean floors matter like they've never mattered before. Right now, right after the Maidtopia person left, our floors (and everything else) are spotless. Grateful to not have to worry about what random things the baby might pick up off the floor. Grateful to have the house looking like civilized people live here. Grateful that it was affordable enough that we might get to make it a regular thing!
