I did not actually use Barker but they still gained me as a loyal customer. After calling around to several HVAC companies for my frozen AC during the Heatwave, I finally reached Barker who helped me over the phone with some useful tips to help me until they COULD get to me (which was asap when someone was in my area). Next week was the soonest for any other company, understandably so!

I did explain to the dispatcher that I was pretty worried about my dogs and They put me on a service call list for someone to get there as soon as possible. They called me three hours later but I was at work:(! I just appreciate their willingness and making me priority in a stressful situation. Thank you!

The receptionist who took the call was super polite and professional. The technician Joe came out and was also extremely polite and professional, educated me on what was wrong and offered a solution. It was clear he was very knowledgeable and he was in and out within under an hour. Overall a wonderful experience, I'm happy to support a local company who supports me and will be calling Barker Heating and Air for my next service need.

I recently finished a whole-house renovation of a 100-year-old house and needed two new furnaces installed. Matt and his team walked me through what needed to be done, showed up on time, and cleaned up as if they were never there. They even handled the rebates with CenterPoint Energy. We have a 120 year old Victorian home that we converted from an upstairs/downstairs duplex to single family and needed to add A/C to the upstairs this past spring. We had quotes from several contractors in town that were all very high because of our "old house with unusual needs". Barker came out, did a thorough inspection and told us we didn't need many of the extras the others were including in their quote.

And that the size of the system they were recommending was larger than we needed. We decided to go with Barker, and we are so glad we did. The new A/C system kept our upstairs nice and cool all summer without blowing up our utility bills. And the total was about 40% less than the other quotes we received. We couldn't be happier. I would highly recommend them.

A breath of fresh air! My sequence of events with Logan Service to fix or replace the air conditioning at my residents: 7/20/2021: Called to make Appt. 7/21: Ryan Johnson came and assessed my needs, explained everything and gave me a quote. (Not the cheapest) 7/23. Clay Nippert and Eli Archer installed my new a/c! NO service charge! (I paid almost $200 in service charges with two other companies), Everyone was on time, pleasant, looked professional and was on time and no BS! It was so refreshing to deal with a company that really treats us like their customer. How crazy is that?! Barker Heating and Air personnel from the top on down truly believe the customer is first in all they do. Everyone was punctual, knowledgeable, professional, friendly and HONEST. We had a great experience with Barker! We called this morning because our furnace wasn't staying on - just kicking off or blowing cold air. Our technician (Ray) was out to our home in about 3 hours. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and very efficient. We had heat again in under an hour! I also appreciated the emailed work order, and option to pay online. We will definitely give you guys a call for any future needs.

Barker Heating and Air sent us either an incredibly incompetent HVAC technician, or tried to scam us, maybe both. I called Barker in the fall of 2018 to figure out why my furnace wouldn't run for more than 5 minutes without shutting off and requiring a full reset, the tech they sent first decided to replace a shutoff switch, a cheap part reasonably simple to replace.

After that didn't work he decided the main board needed replaced, a repair costing over 500 dollars. When that also didn't work he decided our furnace was simply "too big for the house" and that we didn't have the required airflow for the unit to effectively heat the home without overheating. They did however offer to take the price of the repairs done so far off the cost of the new unit.

That was when we got suspicious and got a second opinion. The real cause of the issue turned out to be a clogged exhaust duct. Fast forward to now, Spring 2019, and our AC unit wont run. Turns out the new main board that Barker had installed was installed without connecting the wire from the fan motor to the relay for the cooling circuit. It seems they had hoped we would call them back in the spring for another round of amazing service. Luckily I spotted the discrepancy without the need of another costly service call. Bottom Line: Avoid at all cost! *They did refund us *most* of the cost of the original service call when the exhaust issue was discovered*

Unfortunately I had a major problem happen after Jason Hamby installed a very expensive central air unit in my attic that was installed incorrectly and caused water to come flooding through the ceiling of a bathroom which I had recently remolded to the toon of $20,000. Jason had installed the sensor in the pan improperly and didn't replace the condensation line which clogged and flooded my bathroom!

I called and the owner Todd Barker told me not to call his "insurance " company but to let his approved contractors redo the ceiling. What a joke! After 3 days the repairs they made were unacceptable to say the least. Called Todd again and sent him pictures that even he was displeased with and told him I would get a acceptable contractor and get a quote.

I did and sent it to him and he sat on it for several days and multiple calls from me before he called back. His response was very hostile and threatening. After promising to take care of the situation the next day, it took several before one of his guys stopped by with a check for the repairs his guys failed to accomplish. He failed to make good on his promise to replace the faulty condensation line and give me a 2 year free maintenance program for my inconvenience! I met Natalie under different circumstances than the reviews that were previously written. Yesterday I ran out of gas and Natalie, a complete stranger who was driving behind me in the company truck, stopped and asked if I was okay. I explained the situation, she immediately pulled her truck on the side of the road in front of mine, walked over to my truck and began strategizing on how she could help me. Natalie made my problem her problem.

She not only solicited help from another complete stranger but she also paid him for providing me with gas and placed herself in harm's way by directing oncoming traffic in the rain. If her act of kindness in any way reflects on the customer service provided by Barker Heating and Air, I would say 'look no further for heating and air services because I already found the company for you'. I highly recommend this company and plan to use them for my HVAC needs. Beverly O.

When your A/C goes out in July in GA, you want fast professional service. I was very happy with Todd Barker and his team. They diagnosed the problem, offered me options, returned to do the work as promised. I would recommend this HVAC company to family and friends.
