Dan's Fence

Unfortunately, the gentleman who just left my house was very unprofessional. I called Dans fence for someone to come out and give me a quote. From the very beginning he was bashing the property and the previous job. He didn't even want to do the work for the estimate. He actually told me go with another company due to the pricing. I asked him if he was even going to do the ground work and his response was" well if you want me to" my response was well yes, this is why you're here isn't it.

He was just throwing numbers out not even knowing actual square footage. That's to bad because they look like the do a really good job. I'm not sure what you were told. That is not what was said at all, never once did he say they wouldn't do the job or couldn't. He actually said we would need to set it back a foot or two, never saying Dans fence wouldn't do it.

He roughly quoted me $30,000. Once he actually did the foot work he came back with around $20,000. Yes I do have multiple companies looking and giving estimates, who wouldn't. Everyone is coming in at 8-10,000 with take down. Your guy was flat out unprofessional. Yes the wall does need to come down and in time it will. If the wall was the issue there is still two other sides that could've been done until the wall gets replaced. Wish I could've given you a no star rating, what a response pale!

The planning and installation process was quick and easy. Especially considering I have a pollinator garden that needed to be protected. The quality and craftsmanship of the cedar fence, gates, and arbor is impressive, and only required two days. We have already had lots of positive comments from our neighbors. Looking forward to enjoying the garden this spring!

Dan's Fence did a fantastic job installing our 6-foot Buff Tech privacy fence. From the first contact all the way through final installment, Dan and his team were professional and pleasant to work with. We were impressed with the attention to detail, and the final product is absolutely perfect. There were some hiccups on our end, and Dan could not have been more patient and flexible. I needed my old privacy fence replaced and I just love this new one! Somehow life worked out that they were able to squeeze me in between jobs within a few days of calling them. They were on time to start the job, very friendly and professional. Very personable all around and more than happy to answer my questions. They completed the job in 1/2 day and also were very attentive with their clean up. I am so happy! Thank you!

I am disappointed to be writing this review as I had a positive experience with Dan's Fence when we had our cedar fence installed 4.5 years ago. I reached out to Dan in June 2019 once I realized the concrete was starting to crack and come up from the ground. I called, was asked to text pictures and then I never got a response. I followed up with another call, no response.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago (April 2020) after the ground started to thaw this season. Our fence has 16 posts that are completely popped out of the ground, concrete is completely separated. I've reached out to Dan several times via phone and text with no return call. I've had 6 other fence companies out to take a look at the job for repair and ALL have said this is the worst they've seen in such a short period of time and this should NOT be happening.

I wasn't expecting that they would come out and replace the whole thing for free by any means, but they are flat out ignoring me at this point, so I thought writing a review would perhaps get their attention. Pics for reference.

I had Jeff out 2 years prior for an estimate, he was knowledgeable, professional and was very understanding of our situation. Fast forward to present day -- I emailed Jeff and we picked up right where we left off! He was back out to go over the estimate and Dan's Fence was well under the competition, and the time table for installment was substantially sooner.

The crew was awesome to work with, courteous, professional and made quick work despite the rain we had. Communication was great, from Dan, Jeff and the crew. If you have questions, these guys have the answers. Give them a call, you won't be disappointed! Thanks for the awesome fence!

Update: Still holding up and looking great! We just moved to Minnesota from Arizona and we came from the land of block walls, not knowing anything about wood fences. Getting a fence installed at our new home was a priority since we have 3 dogs that bark, etc. Dan helped us pick a fence that was perfect for our home. He provided a quote quickly and the price was fair.

They use quality materials for sure. The crew was very kind and we professional from start to finish. They asked me a lot of questions during the installation to ensure the fence was installed to our liking. It did take quite awhile to get scheduled in since we couldn't really make up our mind quickly and it was their busy season from what I understand, but it was well worth the wait.

We didn't like the ornamental gate hardware so we bought our own and he reimbursed us for the hardware, no questions asked. Also, the custom arbor was amazing. I just found some pictures online of what we liked. They understood right away and crafted a great looking arbor without any further instructions. They are true masters of their craft and I fully recommend them! Thanks Dan!

Let me tell you a little something about Fence Companies and this one in particular. I called about 7 fence companies, and out of 7 I would say 3 called me back. Only ONE fence jumped at it and scheduled to meet me at my new home two days later. There is absolutely no consistency in customer service and price for fence companies. THIS company however proved that they were excellent in price and customer service.

They were patient with me while surveying my property and super friendly. Loved their entire team! Super nice guys! Thank you to Jeff for his prompt estimate, Dan for being the main contact, and the crew! My Saint Bernard, cocker spaniel, and myself Love our new fence! THANK YOU DAN'S Fence!

Great! Jeff was great with quoting and giving great ideas for the uniqueness of the property. He did the quote on the site so before he left I knew the price. There was absolutely no pressure to sign up at the time of the quote. Once we decided to go with them for the fencing project, I met with Jeff once more and finalized the project and price. I was given an estimate of 4-5 weeks until installation.

I received an email from the installation crew right away with what to expect and what they needed me to do. About two weeks later they actually contacted me and scheduled installation ahead of schedule. The crew that installed the fence was very respectful. Enjoyed my experience with this company from start to finish.

Dan and his company were great! I would highly recommend them to install a cedar privacy fence. When I had contacted Dan for a quote, he was able to come out the next day at my convenience to measure up and discuss what I had wanted. The quote came the next day. This worked to their advantage as I had also contacted other companies to get quotes so that I could compare.

Most other companies took about a week and a half to come back with a quote. No one came close to Dan's reasonable price and his great customer service. Dan had two men out to dig the post holes and set up the panels. We have had a lot of rain the past couple of weeks and Dan's crew were able to work through it. They were able to get the posts in before the rain came, so it had a few days to set.

The install of the panels took a few days but that was because of the rain. One of his crew members even came out on a Saturday morning to get the framing up so they could get the panels up before the rain coming on Monday. On the last day, they finished in the rain. Which, any other crew would have checked out and gone home. Not Dan's crew. They were very hard workers, friendly, professional and cleaned up every day before leaving.

The fence I had installed was a board on board solid lattice 6' and 4' western red cedar fence. The wood is a western red cedar that was of great quality and color. The fence is beautiful. None of the boards are warped or cracked and the fence itself is strong sturdy and straight. Great Company, Price and crew.

Dan's Fence just installed a new fence at my house. My husband and I are absolutely thrilled with the quality, craftsmanship, and customer service we received. They completed the work earlier than they promised and the owner followed up with me at the end of the job to ensure we were satisfied.
