I had used this company previously and had a great experience; however, the last time I used them, I was very unhappy. I had 10 year old bosch dryer that wasn't working properly and I asked if it was even worth them coming out to repair the appliance. They said that they had to look at it first. Well, after having looked at it and collecting $75 from me, they told me that they wouldn't be able to get the parts to make the repair. Couldn't they have told me that before saving me $75?

I had this company out to repair my smoker burner on my BarBQ grill. $89 service call but the man was unable to remove the smoker burner. Said I needed a new one and they would check on the part and get back to me. Three weeks later no call and calls to the office are not returned. Not a great experience.

Years ago, Down Under repaired my Thermador stove. So when a simmer burner died last month, I called them again. This time the solution was a little more complicated since the store is now over 15 years old and parts are not as easy to come by. But the repairman (JR) persisted and got the job done. It took multiple visits and 3 different parts, but every time he was there on time, easy going and pleasant.
I love my old stove and so am grateful that I saved over $3,000 (buy a new stove option). When I checked with other repair companies. they were either unwilling to take on my repair or provided estimates that were 10 times more. Oh and by the way, Down Under only charged for 1 service call even when multiple visits were needed to diagnose the problem and install parts.
You can't beat that!. Hats off to Down Under for persistence and a great attitude even when confronted with an very old and 'rare' stove model. And at the same time, my Kitchenaide refrigerator was generating ice in the freezer bottom. That got fixed too.

JR called me a few minutes before arriving at my house and arrived right on time. He quickly found the problem with my oven and found a way to make it work, even though he explained that it was really a problem for an electrician (the outlet was damaged by a liquid spill of some sort) Before leaving, he reset the electronic controls, the time, etc, and checked all the burners to make sure they had a good flame. On several, he used his wire brush to clear up problems. I was very satisfied with Down Under Appliance!

Had them come out to repair my wine refrigerator. Was able to get it working without requiring new parts. Very professional tech, nice experience scheduling appointment. Would recommend. Update. Wine refrigerator was miss diagnosis and had poor communication about ordering parts and fixing the appliance. After a week of 80 bottles of wine lying on my kitchen floor, i gave up and ended up just buying a new refrigerator.

Courteous on the phone and in person. Called in morning and came out that afternoon. But their estimate was stunning in that it was up selling me for extra repairs beyond what were needed, and astounding labor fees. I politely declined and paid them their $79 service call fee and had the job done by the top rated place on Yelp in the area with a home base in El Dorado Hills but services the whole area, rude to explicitly name a competitor here, for $1000 less.
Very happy I did. Felt more comfortable with the experience level of the 60ish British man who worked with me at the other place as well. So basically, this outfit seems to be prompt and courteous but I can't recommend them as they seem to gouge.
