Pools By Design

First off I would like to day their work has been great. But now let me tell you why I gave a 2.5 stars. Lack of communication, at first they were calling me every Friday with updates. That stopped a couple weeks ago. They also do not tell you when stuff will be delayed. I was told last week that My rock feature/water fall was going to be put in last week.

Last Monday the guy came and measured and sealed it. He told me that he had another one to finish. Would be back this week. He shows up today Friday the 28th drops off materials and tell me he doesn't have enough materials to do the project, that the stuff might be in next week. Now this rock feature has wasted 2 weeks and really no time line when it will be done to move on to the next part of the project.

I am sorry but I signed the contract Dec 2021, to me they should of started to order all materials then and had it ready to go when the time is needed. I understand the supply change, but if they would of planned and ordered accordantly they we wouldn't be waiting on supplies. When there is a delay the customer should be informed. I was told Wednesday the guy would be out today to start to build the feature. Well he came out but didn't have enough materials. I should of been told of the delay. At this time I can not or will not recommend Pool By Design.

They communicate and have been honest so far. They are professional and reasonable. Granted my pool isn't even started yet, but they have communicated when it will be started and the timeframe. If that changes, then I'll come back and change it, but I know other people that have used this company and I doubt that will change. However, whatever the outcome, I will come and change my review regardless. I know a few other pool companies deserve negative reviews just by talking to them.

We had our pool design and built by pool dy design. Beautiful pool outstanding workmanship could not be more detailed. The tile guy wow great, the travelten guy amazing work. A lot of attention to detail. Only complaint communication not great when workers show up.they have a person who's suppose to call you to keep you up-to-date dosen't happen often. Tracy their supertentent is an amazing lady with tons of experience.

She's golden. Charles there technician is great as well knows his how well. Our only complaint improve communication with customers. If you say it do it. I still give them a 5 star and would use them always.

Ongoing support is terrible. We bought a house with a 3-year old pool. Slight rust spot coming up from underneath, which is usually due to installers not laying the pebble tech consistently. Rather than trying to help the lady insisted it's not covered. Update to the below reply. It is not topical. Would've been nice to receive this customer service over the phone.

We found pools by design in the home magazine, they appeared to be a reputable company so we reached out to have them give us a bid on resurfacing our pool. They came out measured, addressed our concerns and said they would give us a bid in a week. Well three weeks went by with no response. I reached out to them and they stated they were busy and would have a bid by week's end.

Well needless to say it's been I wanna say MONTHS and nothing from them. Even if they did come out to start the job I would be afraid they would leave at the end of a shift and not come back! We won't be using this company!

We had an appointment with the owner of Pools by Design at 8am and he never showed up or even called us. I also talked to another person today and he said he supposedly had 3 different appts. with him and he never showed up for him either. I definitely would not advise any one to use them for a pool company especially when the owner doesn't show up for an appointment. I would give them 0 stars if that was possible.

Outstanding customer service, beautiful and personalized design.we LOVE our pool! Mary Anne was extremely patient and hands on, in both the design and on-site location. Then any warranty questions we had Kim & Scott were AMAZING! Highly Recommend Pools by Designs.

Our pool was completed in 2015 in a timely manner will skilled workers. Over all we are happy with our pool. Our biggest complaint is the accessories around the pool. In 5 years our 2 concrete works have cracked both in the exact same place and leak water all over. From what I hear they now install a device that feeds water directly over the wok edge instead of filling the works like ours.

I guess they corrected a flawed design but that doesn't help us. We have had our pentair lights fail 3 times in 5 years and need replacing and they are not cheap. These were upgrades recommended by the designers with no warning of serious problems especially in pentair color cascade bubbler. Like many people we now have a $500.00 built in bubbler that appears will fail every 1 or 2 years.

I implore Pools by design to seek out higher quality products to use in there pools. These failing accessories are tied to your company and your clients satisfaction. If you guys have any long term fix for the plagued bubblers please let us know.

We recently had this firm install a spa/free form pool for us and they did an excellent job. Maryanne was our designer and she worked with us during the bidding, selection and design process. She offered great solutions that really make the pool and spa a great addition to our home. We were not aware of all the various options and Maryanne worked with us to choose the best fit.

I would highly recommend your working with Maryanne. Our project manager is no longer with this firm, but he did a nice job also. We wanted the pool to be ready for out of town guests and the team worked hard to get it completed. They then came back and completed the landscaping and project cleanup to our satisfaction. Ken, the owner of the company became involved after the project manager left and he worked to ensure the project met our expectations. Scott also did a great job explaining the features of the automation systems, setting up the pool and working to correct small issues we had post completion.

They adjusted the keep fill system, provided support for my questions on the automation system and did an outstanding job staying on schedule and meeting our needs. We had five small change orders to the project and Maryanne and the team did a great job keeping the billing accurate. We would highly recommend your considering this team of professional pool builders.

We have had such a wonderful experience with this company. My contact Nick Fiello was the best guide from the start to the finish. They did every thing I expected and went the extra yard to make sure we were satisfied. Built the beautiful pool we have within a month. Tracy, who supervised all was very informative. Their follow up was amazing. We recommend that any one who is getting a pool built talk to Nick also. His honest & integrity go far beyond expectations. We waited six months to post this review.

We have had hiccups during install and after but with diligence and hard work the crew here worked above and beyond to get us happy. I made multiple changes to the design and they never once said I can't. They worked with us. The issues post install were minimal but worked on without issues. The warranty department worked with me in every step of the way if we needed anything.

The project manager was patient with us and had to show us a few times over until we understood what to do to maintain a healthy and beautiful pool! I get compliments from guest how beautiful our yard looks. Thanks to pools by design. Check them out if you want to beautify and enjoy your yard!

We just finished our pool! We couldn't be happier with the outcome! They are so amazing to work with! We worked with Maryanne and Mike mostly, but they are all so professional. They took the time to answer a lot of our questions and concerns. We stayed in our budget and got an amazing product! Thank you Pools by Design! We are going to really enjoy our third summer in Tucson!

I almost want to do it all over again everyone was so nice! (My husband would kill me if I put ANOTHER pool in!) They hit the mark time after time, we couldn't believe they quoted us 6 weeks to have It done and it is done in 5! I can't thank you enough!
