I was out of town for a few days and when I returned home I noticed that the air wasn't cooling the house. The next day I didn't feel any air at all and noticed there was ice forming around the outside pipe and the pipe to the unit in the garage. There was water on the wall under the unit and on the floor of the garage. ( not a lot) but it was concerning.
I'd call someone to come out to look at it, and was promised that he'd be out the same day. After 2 days of waiting the guy nevertheless showed. So, my mom contacted E&B Heating and Air because she'd used them before. Needless to say the technician came later that same day. I was so relieved to finally have someone come out. Sean was very nice, answered all of my questions regarding my unit.
He took his time to diagnose and figure out the problem, which he concluded to debris stuck in the line to the cooling system. Once the debris was cleaned from the line, Sean stated that I was low on refrigerant; which he added. I am so happy to have air again and a satisfied customer. I will definitely do business again with this company. Love their professionalism and knowledge of the HVAC system.

E & B has been taking care of me and my family's heating and air for almost 20 years. Just had them install a new unit and they did a beautiful job. The guys were fast, clean, and very kind. Patient with all of my questions. Did a couple things they were not required to do but thought it would save me money on my electric bill. Family owned and run I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

I called E&B yesterday to come look at my air handler. When I placed my call the nice lady on the phone walked me through steps to make sure my thermostat was not set in weird settings. Shortly after 11:30 am a technician was at my house and 30 mins later it was repaired. Price was beyond fair and reasonable. Five star service!

This company does not provide good customer service! Nor do they seem to have qualified technicians. I used this company Twice the first year the tech came out to diagnose my unit, he service the unit it began to cool and worked fine. He advised me that my EXU may need to be replaced soon;however he got the unit to perform without replacing it and advised me that if the air goes out it may need to be replaced.
My unit went out again five later months and two different tech From E&B came out, After I gave them the invoice with the previous notes from the tech from their company they the replaced the fan motor and my AC cooled long for about 45 min and began to free again. i called them back and they did not come out to repair my unit after I paid them $417. i will never use them again!

E & B Heating and Air Conditioning recently installed a new system in my house, and I highly recommend them! This is the third system they have installed in my 35 year old house (they installed the very first Carrier system when we built the house). Al and Donna personally came out and gave me a quote, explained the many options, etc. I had many questions and was quite confused trying to compare brands, features, systems, warranties, add-ons.
This is THE most expensive appliance in a home, and I was overwhelmed with the choices, and took a long time to make a decision. I had gotten quotes from other long-standing reputable companies in Tallahassee, but keep going back to E&B. I am glad I decided to have the "media filter" added to my system, and to have the ducts cleaned. The installers did an outstanding and efficient job - and cleaned up any dust or debris.
I was thrilled they took down every one of my air vents, hosed them off outside, and replaced them. (I doubt that had ever been done!) They patiently answered my many questions, explaining various components of the system as I asked, and thoroughly went over the new thermostat. I plan on signing up for the E&B service plan again, which is probably why my last system lasted 19 years!
I research big purchases as much as I can, and it is very difficult to find unbiased data on the various brands of CENTRAL heating and air conditioning systems. Consumer Reports does not even rate central systems: they only test and rate portable and window units! I think the best advice I found was that the INSTALLER (CONTRACTOR) was more important than the brand of the system. I would go with E & B again.

Al came out personally to give us a quote to replace our 13yr old heat pump earlier this year. I finally bit the bullet and scheduled the replacement following Hurricane Michael. The techs did a great job - removal of the old and installation of the new was done in a matter of a few hours. They also ensure that the inspection with the city is handled correctly. We certainly notice the difference in both efficiency and power and really appreciate all of the work E&B completed in such a short time frame.

Chris D. came out to service the ac this morning. Very knowledge about what he is doing. Explained things to me, as to what to do.he is an excess to your company. I hope he will be my serviceman when I have to get another service on it. He explains the service membership to me and I decided to get it. Its always nice to have the same person to service it, and know you are pleased with the job they do. E& B will be my service. Moved here 2 years ago, made my 1st call to get service and very pleased with their company.

My house had been plagued by AC issues since I bought it. The initial guys who came out (from a different company) just said the vents needed to be cleaned, cleaned them, then left. We started having issues again so I called E&B. Tech was super nice and didn't rush the job even though it was later in the day. He said we were too low on freon so he replaced it and then showed my husband and I what to look for if we started having issues like it leaking or blowing warm again so we would know if we just need to clean/unclog something or if it's more serious. Highly recommend!

Get a 2nd opinion! I have never been so misguided by a company. I had them come out for a diagnostics because my AC was blowing hot. The tech came out said I was full of Freon, motors worked, fans good, coils good but couldn't find the issue. He called another tech and he said the same thing and said the called their sup and couldn't figure it out; they told me I needed a whole new unit and it would be $4900.
That was the only solution. I was so shocked. I had a coupon for 49.95 for the diagnostic, the tech charged me $131.00 to "tap leaks" in the attic and left debris all over my hallway floor. I'm so glad I got a second opinion. The AC repair man I was referred to check everything on my unit and 1st thing said "You have no Freon" he showed me the gauges which was barely hitting 40.
I was so disgusted because the previous tech. lied to my face and said I had full Freon. Not only that the reason I was blowing cool air was because the heat gauge wiring was melted and coming on when I turned the AC on. I had to have new wiring. Once both those things were done, my AC blew colder than it ever did. The tech was honest and cleaned the debris after himself. Not only will I ever call this company again but will not refer them. Please get a second opinion on your service before paying an arm and a leg.
