Hardwood has many benefits. It's natural and elegant, appealing in any space, and easy to maintain. And, the cost of hardwood is about the same as other high quality floor coverings but, lasts a lifetime. It also creates a healthy environment, minimizing the risks of dust allergies. D-Lux Hardwood Floors offers many styles with a wide variety of features to compliment any décor.

I would never recommend this company. A week long job turned into a month. Took them 3 times to get the job done right and still not happy. We have been inconvenienced out of our home for way too long and then find out we don't even get a discount! Hard to believe this company has been around 30 years. Crappy company, crappy employees and a crappy owner to say the least. Whatever you decide, please stay away from this crappy family owned business! I wish I could not even give it one star!

In our old house we went with Lumber Liquidators instead of DLux, because they were a bit cheaper. For a decade, I regretted that choice. The flooring itself, AND the installations had imperfections throughout. When we bought a new house, we went straight to DLux, and I am SO GLAD! I've since learned that nothing in this house is square or level, but the LVP flooring DLux installed is completely and perfectly level, smooth, and gorgeous everywhere.
It is quite simply the most beautiful part of this remodel! It pays to have experts install your floor. I booked a date at least 6 weeks in advance, and they never changed it-they were there on the spot, start to finish, with a result that is PERFECTION!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Trust all the negative reviews. We went in to find a pre-finished hardwood that would as closely match a new section to our current wood as possible. Nick showed us one that looked close and we took the sample home to see how it would match. It looked almost identical, so we decided to order. Not once was it mentioned that the color out of the box would be different than the sample.
Most samples are generally what you would expect the material to be out of the box. Nick also came to our house to measure and again never mentioned any of this. He at first said it was in stock, but it became that it was no longer in stock once we wanted to order. We decided to pay a rush delivery fee to get it sooner. We picked up the wood yesterday and brought it home.
We opened one box and the wood was a completely different color than our current wood. We called to find out what was going on and were told that their samples get so much sunlight that they are of the matured color vs. out of the box. They said it would take at least 6 months for the wood to darken. That would have been nice to know. As we had told Nick multiple times, we are planning to sell our house well before 6 months. Again, this is very relevant information to give any buyer.
We let them know we couldn't use the wood as is and it is completely different from what we were told we would be getting. Nick's response was that he needed to speak to his manager. He called my husband back several hours later to say that his manager said they would only be able to take back unopened boxes, but he would check further and get back to us.
We called again today to speak to the manager directly after not hearing back from him and were told his manager isn't in the office today and that they can't take any back now. Do yourself a favor and just avoid the nightmare that this company is.

I am amazed there are not dozens of five star reviews for D Lux. I've used them personally twice and recommended them to several others who have had great success with this company. Honest, reliable, and very experienced. More than 30 years under the same ownership in Portland. Update: we just had the team in to refinish our maple and oak floors, including a beautiful purpleheart and wenge inlay. Absolutely beautiful work, excellent communication, everything on schedule. We are delighted!

I was in the wholesale hardwood flooring business for 25 years, and came to know Doug Lux as he started his business from scratch. I have never heard a bad word about him, and have selected him for my flooring needs several times. His crew just refinished my home floors, and my wife and I are just delighted! Expert quality workmanship, including some tricky spots, faultless daily communication, and all around good people to deal with. 6 stars at least!

I don't usually take the time to write reviews but want others to be aware of the shady ethics of this company. D-Lux was hired to put in new hardwood flooring before we moved into our new house. We showed up on move in day and the wood had popped/bowed up and looked like huge speed bumps in multiple places. They took responsibility and removed just the areas that were affected and started the process over again with new wood and months later the second install was complete.
Shortly after it happened again only worse. Without telling us their intent they hired an out of state inspector to come and then walked away from the entire event after being fully paid and told us it was our fault for the wood we picked out. Come to find out when we did a couple of different independent inspections on our own, both inspectors had the same conclusion that D-Lux had opted to use a cheaper adhesive and a poor install.
I would not recommend them based on our terrible experience with them and their poor communication, terrible workmanship and shady ethics. They just walked away and left us without a floor after being paid and were unwilling to even try and work anything out with us.

We called D-Lux after another company "refinished" our hardwoods and botched it x 3 (regret now giving them more than one chance to fix.). Although D-Lux could not promise to bring our floors back to 100%, they came pretty close and we are happy with the outcome. Pricing was good; entire team was very professional. Recommend D-Lux highly.

Water from an upstairs shower caused damage to our walnut flooring in the living room. Since the walnut flooring runs continuously throughout the main floor, all rooms needed to be sanded, stained, and sealed. Given their years of experience, the D-Lux team performed each task with professionalism and a commitment to excellence. For the multiple day effort, they worked with us to develop a schedule, they explained each step, and at the end of each day they explained their progress.
They always arrived on time and worked very hard to complete the job on schedule. They aided us in selecting the final stain color and the resulting floor exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend D-Lux for resurfacing wood floors because of their quality craftsmanship and exceptional finished product.

Went into the showroom to see what they had on display, only to be greeted by someone who must have been having a bad day - or is just generally bad at dealing w/ the public. I didn't have any work done by D-Lux - but could have had I not encountered said individual. Considering this was my first impression, I didn't need to see any more and walked out. With my money.

We purchased a home last fall and needed the current hardwood flooring refinished and the carpet in the other main floor rooms removed and new hardwood flooring installed. We were on a timeline and fortunately D-Lux had a cancelation that worked in our favor. We had three bids and they had the median bid. They were recommended by an excellent floor tech in the Seattle area that we had used before so we went with them based on reputation and price.
The crew did a fabulous job of weaving the old and new floors. People who visit can't tell what was old and what is new. They were polite and easy to work with. We were working on painting the upper floor rooms and they were great about letting us move about the house as we needed prior to the finish going on. We had them apply our favorite no VOC finish - Rubio Monocoat in Castle Brown. It looks fabulous and we love the results. Highly recommend.

De-lux replaced my kitchen pergo flooring with 3/4 inch oak hardwood. They had to lace the new floor with older floors in two rooms. The floors are beautiful. The merging of the floors is completely perfectly matched. The finish is superior to previous products used on the rest of my hardwood floors. De-Lux staff were professional, responsive and reliable. I recommend them highly.

We hired D-Lux to extend the factory-finished hardwood floors that they'd installed years before. The product we used before was no longer available. Doug located another product that he thought would work seamlessly. The crew did a meticulous job of lacing in the new floors with the old. If one looks closely it is clear which floor is old and which is new, but to 95% of people, it looks like one floor.
We really appreciate this. However, the crew did not not drape anything in the house and did not advise us to do so. As a result, we had to hire construction cleaners to clean the house after the job. This added several hundred dollars to the project. Our garage as well was covered in sawdust, which was not good for our bicycle components. Had to clean the bikes as well. Everyone was friendly and professional. If they'd given more attention to the mess they created, I'd give them a five star rating.

I have a 90 year old house with old floors. I had D-Lux do one hard job and one easy job. The hard job was to partially remove a tongue and groove red oak floor from a substandard previous remodel, then reinstall, including some original material, extend to the hallway and refinish. For this job, they used their commercial crew. They are 5-star. The easy job was to refinish the CVG tongue and groove fir floor living and dining space.
This was done by the residential crew. A few machine out of control gouges. They are 1-star. I did get the catalyzed urethane hard floor finish. If you do that, move out for a few days. It is evil. But good and tough too. So recommended if you get the good crew, but unknown how you can negotiate that ahead.
