Angel Rodriguez and the installer guy (whose name I can't remember) were fantastic! From the showroom to taking home flooring samples to getting an estimate and finally getting new LVP flooring to replace my old gross carpet, everything was smooth and professional and easy! Highly recommend Macadam. Also props to them not being snobby about my tiny project (only about 200 square feet).

They did a beautiful job replacing old linoleum and subfloor with new engineered hardwood floors in our kitchen. Angel and Caine and the installation team were great.

Our experience getting new living room and stairway carpet from Macadam Floor and Design was exceptional. Angel helped us out in picking the best carpet for our situation, and then arranged for the measurement and scheduling the job. The two carpet installers did great work, quickly and efficiently. The process went perfect from beginning to end. Would definitely recommend Macadam for anyone looking for new carpet.

The carpet is nice and I'm ultimately fine with the overall result, but sales person was in a huge rush, and installers broke my barn door track.

Awesome work by Angel at Macadam Floor and Design. I had new hardwoods installed a couple years ago by a different company, and the new floors were cut to fit around a built-in desk that was already in place. I recently decided to remove the desk and then needed someone to install new floor and make it match the existing pattern. Angel's project management was great, he responded to questions quickly and worked with my schedule.

His flooring installer was quick, efficient, and the end result looks awesome. He made the new flooring blend perfectly with the existing flooring and now you can't even tell the floor was installed at two different times!

I have worked exclusively with Scott on close to 10 projects in the last few years as a local house flipper. I have always received superb service from Scott and his team. Amazingly, Scott always seems to be able to free up his schedule upon my arrival to help with any questions regarding tile/flooring recommendations and inventory. Delivery of materials always arrives on time, which I gratefully appreciate as "time is money" in this business.

The showroom has a good selection of materials and I am always able to pick out all of the materials needed for my kitchen, bath and flooring renovations here. I often will pick a few top options and ultimately end up ordering the material that is first available in the interest of time. We needed to replace our floors due to a leak. We called Macadam since they did the floors in our house originally for the builder. They were amazing to work with! Darren was so helpful when we were picking out the new floors. It was a relaxed and easy experience during a stressful time. The installation crew led by Ivan was top notch as well. We were scheduled to have 2 days of construction, but it was all completed in 1!

They worked quickly and efficiently while maintaining a high quality. The finished floors look amazing and we couldn't be happier! I highly recommend Macadam as well as Ivan and his crew for installation.

Had a great experience working with Darren. He gave a great price on carpet for our new home in Portland, with his installers being available to do the work prior to our move in. The showroom has multiple samples to choose from, and Darren was very knowledgeable on the various lines of carpets they carry. Would definitely recommend Macadam for carpet in the Portland area.

Worked with Rick at Macadam to pick out new carpet. He was very easy to talk with and gave straightforward recommendations and pricing. After shopping around and reviewing all options, we ultimately decided to purchase with him. Macadam pricing for the carpet we chose was competitive after comparing between several other stores. Rick is very friendly and responsive to calls/texts.

He follows up throughout the process and ensured everything was on schedule. Our installer Alex was punctual each day and completed the install on time. He was friendly and also patient with questions we had during the installation. Quality of work was great and we are pleased with our experience from Macadam working with both Rick and Alex. As a bonus, Rick even gave us a recommendation for interior painting, which we found to be competitively priced and also did a great job.

Our home is a floating home and installation occurred the day we experienced April snow.

This meant carrying supplies down a ramp, bringing a canopy and also having to unexpectantly purchase, carry and install subfloor over our existing uneven floor. No complaints at all and results are gorgeous. Do not hesitate to call upon Macadam Flooring. You will not regret it.

So I had some issues with the company and discussed them with management. Issues continued and I was basically told today that I am part of the 2% that have problems and that was the end of our discussion. Not really a great business model, but if I have further issues about the installation of my flooring I will contact another contractor. Just beware of the company and please know that they really don't listen to the customer. I would not recommend this business.

They just completed a project to remove carpeting from my living room and replace with the hardwood floor in the adjoining kitchen and dining room. They did the flooring when this house was new three years ago, and I, the second owner, wanted the nice flow of the same flooring into the living room. They did a great job, were right on time on the day of the job, did it in one day, and it looks wonderful! They were a pleasure to work with.

Remodeled our basement after it flooded. The floors look amazing and they did such a good job scheduling everything! It was done quickly and done professionally!

I first worked with Macadam 5yrs ago when we built our home and I recently went back when we were ready for a Powder Room remodel. This time around, I worked with Scott at the Portland showroom. Scott was so patient, he talked me through my design ideas, he was incredibly responsive and was just there for me every step of the way. My husband and I met with Katie and she was so helpful! She was able to get us in so quick as our home was about to meet some deadlines for design choices. We went in knowing what we wanted and Katie gave us her opinion about design choices so our home design is cohesive. Highly recommend Macadam Floor and Design! I worked with Olivia at Macadam for my new construction home. She was so great to work with - incredibly knowledgeable and very prepared for our meeting. She provided great opinions and helped me make decisions without feeling like I was being pushed to upgrade or spend more money. We had an incredibly positive experience getting new carpeting throughout our home from Macadam Floor and Design. Rick was wonderful to work with, answered all my questions, made great recommendations and worked with me throughout the process. We put carpeting off for probably 5 years because we were dreading the process and it couldn't have been easier with Macadam Floor.

I also have to mention the really hard working installation crew. Gil and his team were amazing, I have never seen a team work so hard all day long. Positive experience from start to finish and we couldn't be happier with the carpet the Rick helped me select.

During the Holiday season our dishwasher was used more than usual. After everyone was gone and about a week after the multiple loads of dishes had been washed, we noticed the floor by the sink was looking funky and the top layer was peeling off. About a week after that we realized the floor was peeling even further away from the sink. The floor was never left wet and we could not see where the problem was coming from.

As it turns out, your team of installers neglected to install the new flooring all the way under the dishwasher. Had they done so, the water would have pooled on top and we would have noticed water coming from underneath. However, they did not. Therefore the water leaked immediately under the planks and caused unseen damage for at least 2 weeks. The floor is beyond repair and is hideous to look at. Contacted the company about the situation. They were sorry that we had a leak and left it at that.

We're having our new home built and were referred to Macadam. Kylie is the best and very knowledgeable. She is very well prepared and helped us choose color schemes that go well with our new home as well as carpet, countertops, cabinets, and flooring. I personally loved that she does not push you into getting upgrades. Oh one other thing Macadam Floor and Design squeezed us in last minute and we are very grateful for that. Thank you Kylie and Macadam.

After having trouble finding the right tile for our fireplace base, I visited Macadam's showroom in Portland and spoke with Scott. Macadam has a very large selection of tile and I was able to find tile that worked out great! Unfortunately, during the process there was a serious and significant hiccup driven by the tile supplier. Scott and Christina both worked very hard to get to a resolution under pressure and delivered well with Scott going way above and beyond both in his personal actions and communications during a very sensitive time at the end!

Macadam's sales, Rick, is very knowledgeable about choosing the right carpet for the right house. He reviewed our house pictures, discussed with us about our expectations, and recommended a beautiful carpet fitting our new house very well. He also booked a wonderful carpet installer who goes above and beyond installing the carpet. Most of all, in this period of supply chain bottleneck and uncertainty, Macadam is right on schedule for installation. The communication from its sales and carpet installation is very good always keep us in the loop. I highly recommend Macadam Floor and Design's service.

This is the second installation of floors macadam has installed for me in the last year and both times were mind blowing how perfectly and quickly both sets were installed. Professional and fantastic interaction!

My husband and I are having a new home built, and were referred to Macadam Floor & Design to pick out materials for our desired options. Kylie was our designer, and she was wonderful! She helped us pick out complimentary colors for the entire house including: tile schemes for our mud set shower, quartz countertops for the kitchen with corresponding backsplash tile & grout colors, laminate flooring, and so much more.

She was able to pull many different color scheme options & explain how each color combination would most likely appear in our home. She was able to tell us the pros and cons of different materials too. Kylie was very kind, fun yet professional, informative, and easygoing. We didn't feel rushed nor did we feel like we were being conned into getting upgrades that we didn't need/want. I will absolutely return here for future projects & highly recommend both Macadam Floor & Design as well as Kylie.

5++++ stars. Rick at Macadam floors saved the day (or year!) after 4 backorders and 3 months of waiting for carpet at another company, we decided to cancel our order and take our business to Macadam. Rick was decisive, informative and BEYOND helpful. He helped me select product and order within a day, while simultaneously working behind the scenes to get it installed quickly.

The team had great communication and the best pricing in town. The carpet installers were professional and did an amazing job. We are SO happy and will be back for future projects.

Very poor communication and the customer service POC didn't help either. Sky high prices and quality but helping a customer with incorrect product or justification for 2 mi gas prices charged at $50 made no sense. Go elsewhere!

The appointment Scott set up was met by Jose who arrived on a very rainy day and negotiated a tricky entrance and stairway to our lower level. He kept the carpet dry and made a beautiful installation to the smallest detail.

I had new flooring, countertops (quartz) and kitchen backsplash. Rick Correa was the project manager. All installations were on time, done well, and fast. Macadam had the best price out of 4 estimates. Thanks Rick and Macadam. Im very happy.

We were extremely happy with the work done for us by Macadam. We had luxury vinyl flooring put in throughout our house. This started with Christina in the showroom helping us choose the flooring we wanted. The actual work crew scheduled with us as soon as the materials were available, They did a great job. They were always on time, every day and worked hard, We had to stay at a B&B while the work was done but we stopped by daily to get our mail.

We would look into monitor the progress, The installers were always hard at work and were very courteous to us in showing us around and explaining things. I recommend them wholeheartedly! We are delighted with the end product.

Rylee did an amazing job working with us at the design center to get the best selections for our new home regarding color and material selection for flooring, tile, carpet type, backslash, carpet vs wood flooring, etc. Very pleased with her suggestions as our designer. will look for her for any future design need.

Rick and his crew Ivan did a great job. Their communication is top notch and the finished job looked way better than I could have imagined. Really happy with these guys and will use them again for future projects.

We had been in the process of updating our home and searched many floor options. We finally went with Macadam Floor. We are so glad we did. Great selection and prices. The staff was very helpful and easy to work with. The installation went flawlessly (both times). The installers were courteous and wore face masks for our protection. I would use them again. We had the upstairs done in march 2020 and just now the down stairs Oct 2021. They had the same exact floor so matched perfectly.

We are so happy with the service we received. From the interaction of the sales team all the way through the installers. Everyone is top notch! Our carpet is amazing we just love it. We will recommend to everyone we know!

We had a great experience working with Angel at Macadam. We replaced the whole upstairs with hardwood and re carpeted the stairs. Angel was willing to work with me mostly online for consults and payment and even helped me pick materials that would come sooner so we could get the project done faster. The install teams were really professional, very happy with end result.

Nice showroom with all LED lighting and not too bright. You want some normal lighting when picking out these items. One odd thing was everyone we called there had no greetings on their voicemail. The main thing is they had decent prices and good selection and came through in a pinch. We had a tight schedule to get new carpet installed before move in.

They measured it out based on just a floor plan as we had no access to the house and had enough but not too much. They did the job in the scheduled time. Also at the last minute we added another room and they found some carpet locally and squeezed it into the same schedule. Now we have been in the house we are very happy with the quality. They even helped fix some of the plywood flooring during the process.

Do not use them if U want quality. The house my dad built burned in 2013. The man in charge of any issues that went on. let me tell you how unprofessional that man was. Shut my music off during my house build. My house that was being built (a house that my dad built. He died when I was one. I stayed present during this build because this land is a Century farm) Told me to just fill in these gaps with putty!

Well the first photo is ridge spot in my bedroom that is raised above surface level. If the installation was right they wouldn't have let perfect flooring left over when there were knots and holes in the wood in main walking areas. The decorator was sweet and helpful. Flooring? Please go somewhere else. I keep finding more things with their flooring after moving furniture around were even worse then what what i expected. A year after the installation a hole in my daughters bedroom came to light. When contacted they said put putty in it.:.

Macadam Floor and Design turned out to be the knight's in shining armor for my tiny kitchen update & limited budget! From the initial conversation to the completed installation of the counters, the process was professional & fast. I highly recommend them!

Our laminate vinyl flooring was installed by Macadam Floor and Design (Portland Oregon) some time in fall of 2019 and we moved into our new house at the beginning of 2020. The flooring looked OK, but we found one plank with a well visible bubble. I called Macadam flooring warranty department and talked to customer service representative (Kim) and she sent to us a service man to fix the problem.

The man who came to us just tried to convince us that the plank was OK, but it was not. I'm retired general contractor and a structural engineer and being in the construction business for many years. The service man did not do anything and just left without even telling us his name. Fortunately I replaced that plank myself. At the and of the year of 2020 we found that all T-moldings (total 5) which were installed at the entrances to the bedrooms and toilet rooms.

Some of them broke and others started ugly squeaking. I called the warranty department again and I talked to Kim again. She said that service man is busy at this time and he will come to us in a few days. Yes, he came (the same guy) and he started nailing the one of T-moldings. Then he said that I can fix the T-moldings myself or replace them. We realized that that guy was absolutely unprofessional and we told him just to leave the house.

I called the Macadam office again, but Kim told me that our warranty expired already and they will not do anything. That happened after we were patiently waiting for the service man long enough and our warranty was not expired. The contractor who build the house provided all new T-moldings and I had to replace all of them myself again. When I removed the old T-moldings, I found that all them were installed wrong and without the metal supports which come with the T-moldings to support the flimsy T-molding plastic.

We are absolutely not happy with the Macadam warranty service and their service man. We will NOT recommend this company to anyone. Please see the pictures after I removed the unprofessionally installed and replaced the previously installed T-moldings.

Such a great experience and great pricing! Rick and Caine were awesome and easy to work with. We had one small bump in the road that was no ones fault and completely out of their control. They still went out of their way to resolve the issue and get everything back on track very quickly. The installation team did a beautiful job and were so nice! Definitely recommend them for any flooring project!

My wife and I fell in love with a specific flooring used while searching for our forever home. When we found our new home, we made sure to upgrade the planned flooring to those floors. It was the one and only design change we made to the house plans and we were incredibly excited about it. After construction was completed, we immediately noticed numerous issues related to the installation of the floors.

There were lots of floor pops, squeaking/creaking in certain places and lots of glue marks that were incredibly hard to remove all over the place. These floor noises continued to grow over time becoming more and more annoying to the point where you could actually feel the hardwood flexing when walking over the top. After years of back and forth messaging with Macadam and the builder, Macadam sent their best flooring installer out to help assess the situation. Russ Terekhov was absolutely incredible.

He quickly understood our frustration and spent endless hours investigating the cause of the issues. He became a huge advocate of ours to help us get the flooring properly reinstalled to resolve the endless growing issues. Once the replacement was finally approved, Russ did most of the reinstall himself and assured that everything was done perfectly without any sort of blemish or issue.

Our floors are flawless now! Russ provided incredible focus and detail under many challenges along the way. From then on he had become the only hardwood flooring expert that we will ever work with going forward. Russ is amazing. He was able to take a very frustrating situation and turn things around perfectly to make it right. We couldn't be more appreciative of his persistence to resolve this issue. If you want things done perfectly, be sure to ask for Russ! These 5 stars are dedication solely to Russ and his incredible customer service!

We worked with Katie Stilwater to replace our carpeting. Not only was she extremely knowledgeable and professional, she was a pleasure to work with and made the process so easy. We will definitely be using Macadam Floor and Design for future projects!

After reading great reviews of Macadam I decided to go with them and I'm so glad we did! From start to finish we had a wonderful experience. Darren was super helpful, transparent and got things done for us. He truly went out of his way to make sure we got everything we needed and in time to get the carpets in fast before moving in. Alex did the carpet install and he was fantastic!

He was very open and honest throughout the entire process. I honestly wish I could higher him as a general contractor to do all my home needs/upgrades. Macadam completely replaced the wood from this 1927 staircase, and also installed the new carpet. From the first step consulting with Jake to the last carpet tack, the entire project was handled with excellent professionalism. The stairs and carpet subcontractors did timely, excellent work. The whole experience was flawless.

The customer service and follow up is amazing. They were so nice and on top of the job every step of the way. I would highly recommend them to anyone that's nervous about doing any sort of remodeling in their home. They have an entire team to help you every step of the way, including designers that can either take charge or guide you with your ideas.

This is the fourth project I've done with them and I always come back because they provide competitive pricing along with the best service during a very frustrating process of remodeling.

Absolutely horrible customer service. I spoke to TRACY before I placed my order to replace a few existing pieces of laminate flooring. I emailed her to confirm the color of the flooring would match what we already had. She checked our file and said it was correct. When I received the invoice it said that Macadam was not responsible for any flooring that came in and didn't match existing color.

I then reached out to her again regarding that disclaimer where she assured me that rarely happens and that they just include that in the invoice but that chances of that happening were VERY slim. Well, sure enough, the installer comes and the laminate does not match. I reach out to Tracy to try and find a solution. She then tells me, " I told you the colors would not match". What?

When I remind her that I called about this she says that it is in "writing" on the invoice and that she warned me. I remind her of our conversation and all she offers to do is order more flooring to then replace the entire first floor and blames me for ordering it. Had she given me the correct information straight away, I would've gladly replaced all of it right away and not have to wait several weeks for additional supplies.

She was completely unprofessional, unapologetic and because she had it in "writing" felt like she could disregard the information she told me via our phone call. I will be reaching out to my attorney about this as well as it played a role in the sale of our home causing us a great amount of stress. I hope you can avoid what we went through by using Paulson's instead, where the staff is knowledgeable and not trying to take advantage of their customers.

I came into Macadam replace the carpet in my house. Rick made the carpet selection process quick and easy. Installation was scheduled prompt and the installers got the job done in no time. Caine was great to answer all my scheduling needs. Would recommend them, and will be using them again.

Rick was an expert salesperson and definitely narrowed the options to exactly what we needed. We are thrilled with both selections. The installers were meticulous and even identified an area in the subfloor that needed some attention due to evidence of some past water damage. It was the easiest upgrade we have done on our house to date.

I have used these folks on three occasions--at this point, my entire house is refloored through them. For the first project, I probably hit 10 different flooring stores getting estimates and learning the market place. I was frankly surprised that Macadam, which has one of the nicest show rooms, also was the most price competitive. Often timed, you need to pay extra for a nice ambience.

On two of the times, when I had them do the install, they did excellent quality work (the second time I purchased product from them but we handled the install ourselves). The thing to keep in mind to is that Macadam subcontracts the installation work. While we have had good teams who have done things the right way, I suppose you might get a crew without that eye for detail.

We used Macadam Floors once again for new kitchen and bathroom floors and new countertops in 3 bathrooms. Rick did a great job working with me, I like to make decisions quickly and he helped me pick out samples in a manner that worked well for me. The floor installer was really friendly and nice and did a fantastic job.

I worked with Zac on some new carpet for our basement. He gave me a fair price and it arrived on-time. Soon after it was installed, our basement flooded and I had to replace a small portion. Zac helped re-order my replacement and threw in a free pad for the hassle.
