We can't say enough about how pleased we are with our recent landscape project done by Root's Landscaping. Joe created a design and helped incorporate some of our ideas to make our yard a happy place for us to be. Joe and his crew worked efficiently and professionally during the whole process and cleaned up the job site at the end of each day. Would highly recommend for any landscaping projects you are thinking about and we would definitely use Root's Landscaping for any future projects.

Our project was creating a very special stone bench in memory of one of the founding members of Montana Native Botanic Garden. We selected a top stone from Block Mountain in Plains, but it weighed about 1,400 lbs. and needed to be placed on a trail only 4 feet wide, much too narrow for other people's equipment. Joe not only picked up the rock in Plains, but selected an ideally matched pedestal stone there, too.

He then trimmed the stone so the two matched perfectly, neatly excavated a hole for the pedestal stone, patiently waited while we had a five person debate about which side of the stone should face forward, and then placed it perfectly. Everyone who has seen the stone bench has simply said "WOW!" Our thanks to Joe and Blaine for a simply great job, done on time and on budget!

Summer of 2016. Our home has a walk out basement with a leaning retaining wall that was stone faced. Other companies said it had to be removed. Not only did Joe and his crew save it, the finished landscaping project was outstanding. We would recommend Joe and his staff to handle any project your considering. He will be honest and truthful on how it can be completed and come in on budget.

Roots Landscaping gave our business an AMAZING face-lift. The staff was friendly, courteous, professional and incredibly knowledgeable. They picked all of our plants, trimmed back overgrown bushes while keeping everything within an affordable budget. Hire Joe Bartuska, Roots Landscape LLC., to do your hardscape and landscape project now! We have remodeled and landscaped three homes in Missoula in the last seven years. Therefore, we have also worked with many local companies and independent professionals. Joe Bartuska is, on every level, above them all. Three years ago we had a large hardscape plan done for our home by an out of state designer.

It included a fireplace, waterfall, kitchen, and a 10ft. diameter circular pattern in the paver base. It consisted of thirty-six palettes of block and pavers. We consulted several hardscape contractors, but were disappointed when there was little follow up from our initial meetings. We turned to the internet and found Roots Landscape LLC. and called for an appointment.

We met with Joe the very next day. The first meeting was great. Joe was easy to talk with and he showed real interest in our job. We asked him to suggest any changes that would work better for our backyard. Within a few days he returned with his ideas and a start plan. Ultimately because of those changes, there was enough material left to install two pillars with lights on each side of our driveway entrance.

After the entire hardscape job was completed, Joe designed landscaping with our Montana weather and wildlife in mind. We are thrilled with our new outdoor environment and so are our friends and family. We hired Joe because, in his words, "I like challenges". He is creative and a very smart manager of time and materials. He listens and gives practical understandable advice.

He is able to manage the job as a general contractor, paying attention to all the details for his client. During the installation we witnessed Joe's undeniable work ethic! He showed up promptly everyday with his crew, materials, and equipment ready to go. Our neighbors often commented that they were very impressed with how clean and organized the job site was at the end of every day. Joe is always positive, honest, and has a great laugh. He will participate with you in your excitement because he loves his work. We are looking forward to working with him again as soon as possible!
