George Salet

Jose from George Salet came out to our home and cleared our drains. He was professional (wore PPE), friendly and most of all knowledgeable. He asked great questions to deduce the reason for the problem. Quickly identified the area of focus. It took some time to get through the hair clog, but he took care of it. Afterwards he thoroughly checked each drain to make sure all systems were working.

Including adding stress to all the drains at the same time and they all worked fine. He was also very clean! He closed doors behind him and left not a single trace that he had been here Well, except for the fact that all our drains work now! Thank You! Best part, the price was right! Fair and not overinflated. So important in this time of inflation.

Based on the conciliatory response from this company's owner, and the fact that they did a satisfactory job on repairing a gas leak in my fireplace, I am updating this review to 4 stars.

These guys are very honest and know what they are doing. Carlos did a great job trouble shooting and taking care of some burner issues on my gas water heater. I'm very satisfied.

My gas fireplace/stove stopped working. Manufacturer no longer in business. Gas valve for flames malfunctioned. But Ryan knew his stuff. Had a replacement valve on his truck and installed it and that was not easy because of difficult access.

I was referred to George Salet by a service tech at Okell's for a problem with my gas fireplace. The PG&E guy had told me I needed a whole new setup. Alan and Dave (Alan's apprentice, I hope I have the name right!) came when they said they would, wore masks, and even put on shoe covers to protect my new hardwood floors - without my asking!

But best of all they were able to quickly diagnose the problem and offer an on-the-spot repair job. My fireplace is working again, and my house is warm in the middle of a vicious cold snap. I am so relieved and very grateful for their expertise. Price was right, too!

A quick response and thorough assessment of the situation was made after I called about getting no hot water in my duplex. Two new water heaters, new flue, etc were expertly installed by John Peters and Ryan G. They did a wonderfu job and left everything nice and clean after. Amazing plumbing service that solved all of the lingering problems that have been in my unit since I moved in. They cleaned my water heater, fixed the toilet that was making a hissing sound, and fixed a rattling sound in my walls. They did all of this within 3 hours and were very professional. I've had other plumbing services come in the past but none have been this thorough and professional.

Two plumbers (sorry I didn't get names) arrived on time, and were wonderfully thorough, carrying out their exploration with the intensity and curiosity of Sherlock Holmes. It impressed me that they tested ideas, bounced ideas off each other until they were sure of the source of the problem.

I owe George Salet Plumbing a big apology! They helped me out several months ago, and I just realized I never wrote them a review. Truly excellent service from this company. My washing machine had been causing water overflows in my garage, and my regular plumber said I needed somebody capable of industrial-scale work to come root out the pipes. That's what George Salet Plumbing did, and I've had no flooding since then. I wish I'd called them much sooner.

We feel so lucky to have found George Salet Plumbing! Our house is very old, and Juan suggested the perfect corner sink for our very small bathroom and a utility sink for the garage. We also had them install a new faucet and filter in our kitchen. Juan and Jose had their work cut out for them, yet they completed every job with masterful skill. They truly went above and beyond, especially because they had to deal with cramped, outdated, and old areas of our home. We were also very happy when talking to the people on the phone about scheduling. This is a topnotch business!

Beyond the call of duty! Spoke on the phone with Alan about my issue because I hired another popular company that charges $198 to visit and assess and they could not/would not fix it.(wanted to sell me a new furnace) Alan guaranteed me if they could not fix it I would not pay. The heater had two different issues and Alan/Ryan fixed the issues one at a time.

The old strong heater is working just like it should! To add they are prompt, HONEST, respectful, wear masks and boot covers on shoes. I'm grateful to Salet Plumbing! Thank you!

The people that came out were so exceptionally nice. They were courteous and I felt like I was getting fantastic service. Our building is 114 years old and I wasn't surprised that we would have some problems. I felt that they were very trustworthy and that they went out of their way to do a good job. Hired them to check a fireplace for a gas leak (great) and to replace a broken shower valve that had been causing a leak (terrible). A technician came out and tried to do a smaller scale repair to fix the shower leak but was unsuccessful. He told me that he would have to order more parts to do the repair and that water to the building would potentially have to be shut off.

I gave my condo building notice and scheduled a return visit. On the return visit, I was told they couldn't do the repair because they are *not equipped to turn off water for a multi-unit building this size*, and that I was supposed to schedule a separate company to handle that. Are you KIDDING me? It was no surprise to them that the unit was part of a multi-unit condo building, and they previously alluded to needing to do a building-wide shutdown.

The time to tell me about this limitation would have been on the first site visit, not after I inconvenienced a tenant by having him relocate for the day and after I told the building to prepare to be without water. To top it all off, their front desk manager was unapologetic and blamed this on a miscommunication between me and the technician. Right, because a regular consumer should know more about water shutoff protocols than a plumbing company.

The absolute best plumber you will ever use! I highly recommend this business. They are professional, knowledgeable and kind. John and his partner fixed two toilets that three other plumbers said they couldn't fix(!) They are experts in the field. They are not only plumbers but they fix gas fireplaces as well. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Had a plumbing issue in our new ( old) home. Called George Salet plumbing. They were awesome. They got a tech here quickly. They were just as their card says- skilled, clean and honest. John Peters and his teammate ( sorry spacing on his name) were great! First they were masked, kept social distance but most of all worked really hard to resolve the root issue we had.

They stuck to it till it was resolved, showed me they had it fixed. Ran a camera down to double check. I am impressed with their work and how professional they are. Most of all they were honest! I have a Jotul gas fireplace that would not light. I got a repair referral from O'Kells Fireplace where I bought it. The repair man showed up and told me the starter assembly was not working. I asked him the price to fix it. I was shocked to find that it would cost a minimum of $673.00. With out doing my due diligence, I agreed to the work. He had the part in the truck and started right in.

I began to wonder, how much could a starter possibly cost? I asked him and he didn't have a breakdown of the labor vs part. Well. I looked up the part and it cost around $73.00 retail. From start to finish this repair took 45 minutes. My math tells me I paid $600.00 for labor. I did let the technician know how I felt about the charges and he appologized and said he couldn't help his bosses pricing. I told him I planned on writing a Yelp review. Buyer beware. Do your research!

Gas fire had stopped working and they had someone available the next day. Carlos arrived punctually with all COVID precautions and quickly diagnosed the issue. They had someone drop off the spare part from their office and Carlos had it in and fixed and running in no time. Excellent service. Would use them again in a second. Thank you!

From the day Juan came out to see what work needed to be done, we were able to get an appointment a few days later. Juan was here on time. Completed the tasks in a timely manner. Took pictures of work he did and explained all the work that was done. I would definitely use George Salet Plumbing again. And I'll be requesting Juan when we have more plumbing needs.

George Salet's company is very professional in interactions and expertise. Although my first experience wasn't perfect, they have followed up numerous times and the second visit was superb. The project was a bit more complicated than expected but Alan is the master of all things and a fabulous problem solver. There is a reason that I've been a customer of George Salet Plumbing for 16 years, not only for my home but also my rental properties. The most recent reason was at my home. Our master bath toilet clogged and overflowed a bit, which was cleaned up. The next day Ruben and Sal quickly determined that not only was the pipe clogged but that the toilet was leaking since our dried floor had more water on it.

They cleaned out the entire sewer system and recommended a toilet that they had in the truck. We had fallen out of love with our Toto toilet and asked them to install the toilet in their truck. Ruben insisted that the new toilet be absolutely straight and the two gentlemen didn't leave until everything was perfect. They even offered to clean our hardwood floor where they walked during the repair! THAT is great service!

My entire experience with George Salet Plumbing was very positive - from troubleshooting over the phone my issue, to setting up service, and the service call itself. My technician, Tyler Martinez - went above and beyond to ensure the issue with my fireplace was fixed in a kind, thoughtful, time sensitive & cost effective manner. I would absolutely use George Salet in the future for any of my plumbing and fireplace fixing needs!
