I called Dutton Plumbing on Wednesday around noon. They had a plumber arrive just after 2:30PM the same day. Will was knowledgeable, courteous, and listened intently to me as I explained our leak situation. He stayed until nearly 8PM making sure our leak was fixed correctly and he allowed us to watch him as he worked. He answered all of our questions in respectful way. The price was reasonable for the scope of work done and I saw Will was determined to do things right the first time which I appreciate. Excellent service!

NO Communication.(After they were paid) Tried to reach them 5+ times. Not a response of any kind. They refused to supply a receipt. Can't figure out why when paid in full?

Positives: Excellent communication regarding when your technician will arrive. Technician very polite and courteous. Unfortunately, this is where the positives end. Negatives: Technician arrives(4:41pm)at the very tail end of our appointment window(1-5). Technician diagnoses the issues that prompted our original call in under 20mins BUT spends another 40 mins walking my husband around our entire house, even checks water heater in the garage in a VERY OBVIOUS attempt to sell us a whole house water filtration system.

When I politely decline and ask that he stick to the original, previously diagnosed issues, he spends another 10 minutes in the van to write up a quote. He returns with the quote but informs us that it is now past his regularly scheduled work hours and he will have to return on Monday to complete the repairs. To recap.technician arrives, diagnoses problem, spends another 40 mins touring in/around my home, presents ridiculously high repair quote and then tells us he will not be able to complete repairs today.

In total, 5 hours of my day was wasted waiting around for repairs that would not be completed and now we get to spend the rest of the weekend without a working toilet & sink. All in all: Extremely disappointing. Sales goals put above customer needs. Won't use or refer again.

I had a main sewer line over flow. I called at 6AM & got no answer. I called back again at 8:00 AM and got an arrival time between 8:30 - 11:00. They finally got here just after noon. Good thing I had the day off! Before even looking at my drain, he told me how his job was to tell me the truth. This concerned me because my house is obviously not new, but at this point, he didn't know if my pipes were new or not. I'm smart enough to know the the "truth" was probably a big repair bill.

They proceeded to snake my drain then went back to their truck for several minutes. I finally went out to see what was happening. He informed me that they were putting a camera down my drain. Several more minutes later they knocked on the door and told me how bad my pipes are. He showed me some roots growing in the pipe (they are from a tree I had removed 20 years ago.) Then, he quoted me between $9,000 - $13,000 to replace the 25 feet of pipe to the street; AND. if it were to collapse, it would be double that amount.

He said that mine will definitely collapse! Then, he said not to worry, they take payments. I paid the $73 for the drain clearing, then called my homeowners insurance agent. For $25/year I had the coverage added to my insurance. If it does ever collapse, it will be covered by homeowners insurance. Bottom Line: NEVER CALL THESE PEOPLE!

Charged $2500 for sink, garbage disposal, and dishwasher installation. It took the technician almost 8 hours. The dishwasher wasn't working after all that time. He claimed it was a manufacturer issue. I called manufacture as he was trying to leave. They proved it was due to his improper installation. The garbage disposal isn't working. We booked a follow up appointment for 8-11am.

They didn't show up. I called they said my window is from 1pm-4pm. Overpriced and under qualified. fancy song plays while on hold though as I've listened to it for countless amounts of time. Maybe save that jingle money and train your techs Update. They just called after I blocked my entire day to wait for them and said they can't come until Monday. This company is seriously the worst I've ever dealt with. Beware beware beware find someone else, you'll save money and the job would probably be done correctly.

So my garbage disposal died and they came out to fix it, wasn't fixable so had to replace it. They also noticed my water pressure was too high and replaced the part that controlled that (I forget what it was called). They charged me $2000! Yikes! As a fool I paid it, not getting a second estimate. Then later my toilet was running and needed the flapper replaced, they said they couldn't get the part, so I'd need to go get my own toilet and they'd install it for $685.

They also tried to get me to buy a more expensive toilet. I finally wised up and got a second estimate. I paid $685 to second repair place and they picked up the toilet and installed it for the same price. Dutton will rob you blind! Also they kept looking to sell me more things, saying my water is too hard and I need a water softener which runs between $2000-20000! Talk about upselling! Don't trust Dutton!

Called Dutton Plumbing because my kitchen sink was backed up. They sent Tony, who was wonderful! They tried to snake it out but it needed more than that. They gave me a very fair price to fix the problem. I am very happy with the service and price. I would definitely recommend them.

The individual that arrived was so polite and professional. He answered all of our questions and did a thorough inspection of our plumbing! We will definitely continue using Dutton Plumbing for all of our future needs!

I had two clogged drains and within 2 hours of calling, Robert was sent out to help clear my drains. One of the drains was easily resolved however the other was partially cleared and requires more extensive work. I was only charged for one clog. I really appreciated there was only one charge, I will definitely be reaching out when I ask for time off work to address the more extensive work. Robert and his partner were friendly and professional. They were also very dog friendly, Kona was very happy to greet them. This was a great service, pleasantly surprised on how quickly we got same day help!

Called them for a leak issue. Guy came and said it's going to need significant work that would cost over $1000. I hesitated and he quickly lowered price to $900. Decided to get another plumber that saw that the only issues was a loose connection that took 1 minute to tighten. It worked and no leaks. Charged me $100. This company is a compete scam and takes advantage of people. Bowyer Beware

Had a slow draining bathroom sink so I called Dutton. Tony and Andrew from Dutton arrived and analyzed the problem and the options to clear the drain. They fixed the clog and suggested good ways to prevent it from happening again. They were knowledgeable, friendly and honest.

Dutton plumbing was very responsive, and set up the initial point appointment on time. Came over and diagnose my issues with the leaky pipe, and recommending providing a major service of my two tankless water heaters as well as changing out a filter for our water filtration system. The technician Ryan was terrific, very thorough, very transparent about the prices.

My only piece of feedback is the cost just seems so expensive for the major servicing for the tankless water heaters. Other than price, it was a great experience working with Dutton on this project.

Bold letters on their website "The plumber you'd send to your Mom's house." NOT! My mother is a widow in her 80's and made the huge mistake of calling these idiots. They arrived, saw that she lives alone, Jackpot. For a clogged drain, was told that that 30 feet of leaky, molding pipe under the house had to be replaced. Knowing that no old woman is ever going to crawl under a house, she was quoted $5399.00.

She was told that the job would take between 6 & 8 hours to complete. The pipe that supposedly needed to be replaced is 2" ABS pipe that can be purchased at Home Depot or Lowes for less than $2.00 a foot. We'll call that $60.00. That leaves $5339.00 for labor. At 8 hours, that's $667.38 per hour, at 6 it's $889.83. WOW are you kidding me!

Oh kicker, she was told that she was eligible for a $60 senior discount. So noble and thoughtful. She called me after receiving her quote and asked if I thought she should have them do the work. I spoke with Josh the manager and asked him to justify the labor costs. I was told that nobody does parts and labor anymore, It's all flat rate now. Ok but if you break down the price, this is how much you are receiving for labor I said. Sir, you have the right to call someone else he explained, as if I didn't know that I had that option. Idiot! Around $200 later, problem solved. NOT BY THEM! No pipe replaced. Protect your Moms. Disgustingly Disgraceful! How many have they done this to?

Dutton plumbing company is the best hands down. They are freaking an amazing company, they have great customer service, they actually call you back, Dutton plumbers give you an exact estimate, to the penny before they start their work. My plumbing technician was Steve C. He is freaking amazing. The company had a promotion the $73 drain promotion. Steve was very nice and cleared my drain.

He cleaned up and tested the line a number of times. He even took several pictures of his work. Just to proHe did things the right way. I highly recommend Dutton plumbing for all of your plumbing needs. Don't even think about it. Call them know. I used so many plumbing companies in the past and you never know what your going to get. Dutton Plumbing company and Steven C. Are amazing. The company even followed up with a phone call to make sure I was happy. You have a customer for life.

Technician was friendly, very knowledgeable, prompt. Did his work in very good order. Job was over before you know what's happened. Called them first thing in the morning on the 24th because we had no hot water (for future reference, this was in January so it was kind of an emergency). Dutton said they would come out ASAP. Fast forward to the 25th, they finally send someone out and say they won't be able to repair our water heater until the 31st. Fast forward AGAIN to the 31st. We've had zero hot water for a week and no response from Dutton.

After calling them in the late afternoon, they say someone will "definitely" be there tomorrow morning. Yesterday on the 1st nobody showed up. Called them in the afternoon to confirm somebody was coming, and they finally told us that they didn't have the part they needed in stock to repair our water heater, but someone will (again) "definitely be there tomorrow morning." It's now the 2nd. Nobody's shown up or called yet.

We haven't had hot water in almost 10 days. Hopefully today is the day Dutton actually keeps their word. But either way we've learned our lesson and will never be using their services again.

Long story short: Do not call this company unless all you need from them is shady sales pitches for stuff your house doesn't need. Full story: We awoke one morning to discover a large water puddle in the laundry room. We called Dutton, as they were the first available services. They were very friendly on the phone and showed up in a reasonable time. and that's where the good news stops.

The TECHNICIAN they sent out hastily diagnosed the problem as a slab leak, and then spent the rest of the time there trying to upsell us on a wide variety of products we didn't need. Their favorite upsells are new water heaters (ours is only 5 years old), expensive water filtration systems, and a full house re-piping project estimated for us between $15,000 and $30,000.

The technician would not leave the house until we signed up for an over-priced leak detection ($700) in a few days. The technician assured us that the problem was just with the hot water and as long as the hot water was off, we could run water during the day, which we did. Two hours later, the laundry room was full of water again, and it had spread to the living room.

So we called them back and turned our water off. The next day, Dutton showed back up, spent a little more time diagnosing the problem, which they slightly changed. We were told we still needed the full re-pipe and leak detection services and told to adjust our water usage to only certain sinks, which we did. Two hours later, the laundry room was again flooded, which had spread further into the living room!

So much for giving them the benefit of the doubt. We immediately called Dutton to cancel the leak detection and any further service with them. Our usual plumber was now available, and came over to help. His leak detection service did so for half the cost of Dutton's; in addition, our plumber fixed the issue for a fraction of the cost. Our water is on, the problem is fixed, and it cost a small fraction of what Dutton would have cost. We are so happy we were able to find out the truth about Dutton before we signed on to expensive and disruptive repairs. Anyone know the name of a good floor guy?

Don't do it. Heard the commercial and gave them a call. I'm sorry I wasn't the time.

Dutton plumbing are exactly the kind of plumbers you want your mother to AVOID. This is the second time my family used Dutton. They wanted to charge me 900 total to change my home pressure relief valve. They quoted the cost of the part as 800 - 1200 when I got it for under 200. After they tried to sell a $15,000 home repiping, I was told they would send before and after pictures from a previous inspection, which I never received.

They also wanted to charge me 80 for an inspection without telling me before hand. I also don't know why your past military service justifies your high pressure sales tactics and calls. The plumber, paul, they sent to inspect kept telling me that he is straightforward because he ".was in the military." Personally, I think its disgraceful and disgusting to use the military experience as an excuse to be dishonest and rip people off. AVOID Dutton Plumbing because they are dishonest and lame!

Jay was very professional and Super easy to talk to. He was able to communicate to my husband and I the issues we were having with our drainage issue as well as take the time to show us a scoping of the entire piping all the way to the street. I've used other companies before and their camera equipment was not as easy to view as Duttons. Super happy with service! Thank you.

They were fast and really easy to work with. We love their work transparency. They send vids and photos of the work and of their comprehensive examination of the drains. Love that their work is guaranteed for three months after their visit. Definitely using them again. Service: Drain unblocking

This was the worst experience ever. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The first service guy that broke our bathtub by drilling too deep. Then they set up an appointment to fix it and never showed up. They made a big hole in my kitchen ceiling to which now I have to say someone to fix. I did like the second guy that came but the calking around my tub is loose. DONT USE THEM,

High pressure sales, text, email, calls. I don't need all of that, used them once, never received before and after pictures that I was told to get, had to text and email to get a receipt. And found out my price I paid was on the high side. Found another reputable plumber. Also found out that the original owner no longer owns them, was told a company from Arizona bought them, a heating and Air company. Herd the original owner was great. The work itself was fine, at least so far.

The single star is for the man on the phone who genuinely cared. I hope he takes his kindness elsewhere as this company doesn't deserve his heart. Everything else was a mess. They're shady lying salesman, not your friendly neighborhood repair men. First the appointment window is arbitrary. Highly annoying when you need to pick up kids. The first thing the man said to me was that I need a $10,000 filtration system.

They insisted we needed to bring everything to code which accounted for $3,000 of the quote to fix a leak. We ended up going to the store and fixed everything for under $1100 ourselves. Something we could have done in the first place. Last, I hate their radio commercials with a passion and didn't want to call but they answered the phone on a Sunday. Save yourself unnecessary sales pitches. Find your answer on YouTube!

I woke up to a dead water heater this AM - called Dutton and they had a guy out within 3 hours who fixed my issue in 20 minutes. Thank you!

WARNING: The most unethical operation you will ever use. Dutton plumber quoted my wife $2800 for a toilet drain that he claimed needed to be replaced. When I showed up and started to ask questions, he started to sweat and stutter and said he would call his office to get me a discount. He then went out to his truck to make a call and came back with a 50% discount.

The cost of the repair estimate dropped from $2800 down to $1400 just like that. I called a second plumber that fixed it for $138 in 40 minutes. NOTE: Dutton plumbers work on commission, so the more they rape you, the more they make for themselves. They love to take advantage panicked and distressed women.

Well yesterday I called Dutton at about noon. They told me they couldn't get to my house until the following day, which is today. I requested. 9am and they agreed and said I'd get a call at about 8:30am( which never happened) to just let me know he was on his way. I didn't get any calls. I called them 4 times and also texted. Nothing from them.

Now at 3:02pm they called and said sorry. Not today. So I said well not ever. And now am leaving this bad review. If they would of just reached out to me. Well then things would be different. Really crummy service.

Dutton plumbing is a ripoff They are totally devoid of honesty and I wouldn't use them again ever

I would never use this plumber again. I was left with one clog fixed and charged for two. A stain was left in my kitchen sink where the plumber mixed chemicals to show me the chlorine levels in the water. The plumber was at my house for 4 1/2 hours and could not find the clean out. They have refused to get back to me after saying they would refund me for the overcharge.

I hired Thousand Oaks plumbing and they found the clean out in two minutes and took great care of me. I will always use them from now on. I hope someone reads this before hiring Dutton so they don't have to go through what I have gone through.

I called this company to get some expert advice before making a decision on which water filtration system to proceed with. I wanted them to then instal it. They never called back. Disappointing, won't ever give my business to these people.

I would not use this company. They came and offered an estimate more than double that of what it should cost. I was so shocked at the cost I mentioned my experience to a co-worker, and she had the same experience but ended up paying as they were in a bind. And that is the strategy they play upon. Plumbing work is often an emergency situation. It is not always a planned out project.

They prey upon that and take advantage. I waited one day for the company I have used in the past and their charge was less than half. If you are looking for a fair price, do not call Dutton Plumbing. They will take advantage of you.

Austin (yes we had the same name) was incredibly friendly, helpful, efficient, cleanly, and knowledgeable. He was able to diagnose and fix our problem all with a friendly attitude. I'll definitely be using Dutton Plumbing again for any issues that arise in the future! Service: Drain unblocking

We called because we had a leak on our garage disposal. The wanted $1100 to replace it and $544 to put in one we can buy can buy at Home Depot, Any regular Plummer is $300-$400 for everything so I obviously told Dutton no. Then he told me he needed to collect $89 for a service fee. I asked him what is the $89 service fee for since your basically telling me I have a leak which is what I told you in the first place. Biggest $89 mistake you will ever make. Do yourself a favor and call another Plummer unless you want to pay 4x the normal rate

Worst experience ever, said they were coming out last Friday, called me last minute to say they couldn't come out till Saturday and then finally showed up Sunday at their convenience. Technician then said he could not snake the line and we needed to jet the main-line at a cost of $930 what a joke ( total scam ) Quality Plumbing came out the next day and snaked the line within 30 minutes. Don't use Dutton Plumbing!

The technician. Ryan, was friendly enough and did good work. However, I always feel like I'm paying too much when I call on Dutton. I wasn't happy that the burner on the water heater they sold me less than four years ago failed and had to be replaced at my expense (the burner is not covered by the tank warranty, apparently). Also, they don't show you the itemized invoice when you sign the tablet screen and then you find out later that you've been signed up for a service plan for an additional $49. If you use Dutton, be prepared to pay top dollar, don't let them sell you a "Premier" brand water heater, and ask to see an itemized invoice before you sign.

We had a very filthy and backed up kitchen sewer that the previous owners of our home hadn't kept maintained. We needed it to be cleaned all the way to the main. Tony was our technician and he was not only efficient, but also thorough in explaining what and why he was doing what he was doing, professional, courteous, friendly, funny, and our dogs loved him! He took care to be careful of our property too. We don't want there to be other plumbing problems, but hope that when we nee Dutton again, we'll be able to work with Tony.

My whole experience was Dutton was extremely positive. I talked to a couple girls on the phone regarding scheduling & they were all very nice. They were prompt & efficient about follow-ups. Mark came out & performed the service. I was on a tight schedule & he arrived early & got straight to work. He was in & out around a half an hour. Super quick; super efficient.

It cost me $73. I had Mr. Rooter out a couple days ago. The man was really nice, but he couldn't unclog the drain. A fortunate event for me, because they were going to charge me $200+ for the same service. I will definitely be recommending Dutton to anyone & everyone in the area. I had previously used Donlon Plumbing as well, but the girl answering the phone all 3x I called was dismissive, abrupt, & just shy of rude. Dutton provided a great service & customer experience as well. Thanks!

First contact: Promised low prices and would come out on weekend. Then changed to Monday. Then did not show at all or respond to messages. Eventually others came tried to snake and hydro jet kitchen drain and it did not work and I was told drain was broken and clean out drain was not accessible. Dutton apologized and asked what they could do to make the situation better.

I said they could promptly give me a free quote and if it looked better than the others, promptly fix the problem. Their quote was the best and they did a good job replacing a drain pipe, and installing a clean-out that was accessible.

WAIT! STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING AND LISTEN. Are you listening? Do NOT CALL THIS COMPANY. If you made an appointment go ahead and cancel. This business is extremely shady. We called on Saturday and they said they would be there that afternoon, we waited and waited and then they called and said they'd be there first thing Monday morning. I got a call at 9 am and they said that we were next in line.

So again, we waited and waited and waited and they never came. I believe they overbook and wait for cancellations kind of keep people on the hook instead of losing their business. Extremely shady practice. Plumbers are a dime a dozen, just move on. Trust me.

I called Duttons with an urgent situation. They responded immediately and were priced reasonably as well. Will only use them in the future!

I was charged $395 to repair a pipe in the backyard that had broke at the connection point to another pipe. They were here for about an hour. The plumber was professional and very nice. Company provided photo of whom I should expect. Overall great customer service but severely overpriced, especially since only the connector pipe was replaced and originally pipe was reattached.

The price would prevent me from using services in the future. I had to have the main water turned off due to pipe break at the section, so shopping for a better price was limited due to time constraint.

Hi Robert, As I mentioned to you during our phone call today, Orlando and Luis came to our house yesterday to fix a broken drain pipe and did a fantastic job. They quickly assed the problem, determined what was necessary to correct it and worked meticulously to get the job done right. Additionally, Orlando and Luis were very friend ly, professional and concerned about cleanliness.

Larry C and an apprentice came to our rescue yesterday when a pipe in our ceiling burst. The team was smart, fixed the problem quickly, was upfront about cost and polite about asking permission. Cleaned up nicely and set us up with a restoration company to work the remaining issues. Very grateful - give this company very high marks in every area.

I had one of the absolute best service experiences I've ever had with Dutton. I called in a panic because my bathroom ceiling was leaking. They responded quickly and kept me in the loop. Rich B. arrived promptly and immediately put me at ease.

Danny was excellent and was here on time and I had worked with him before and I had no problems with allowing him to work in my house and not me being in the area I'm so glad we have somebody like Dutton plumbing that can take care of neighborhood needs at the blink of an eye.

Dutton sent Mark and Juan to repair part of the line to the street and install my sink and vanities. They did an excellent job and I would request them anytime to come and do plumbing repairs at my home.

I was so impressed by the fact that I received a bio/ photo on Brian before he arrived. Brian was kind, helpful and very knowledgeable about what needed to be done at our Ranch. We are a ranch serving special needs kids, teens and young adults and Brian was very understanding and kind.

Ramiro was so awesome! He got arrived quickly and resolved our pluming problem within minutes. Before he left he made sure everthing was clean and tidy. This is the second time I have used Dutton Plumbing because of great job and wonderful value starting at $79. Plus added coupons.

Wonderful experience. I've had Dutton twice now and both Elias and Mat were efficient, competent and friendly. I wish I had found Dutton years ago and see no need to change. Elias signed me up for the Family plan and I've already saved money.

Mark M came out and did a wonderful job on my clogged kitchen sink and slow running bathroom sink. He was very helpful on telling me what to do to help prevent this from happening again. He recommended your product.

Dutton Plumbing has always met my needs with a quick response as well as being courteous and efficient. Elias H. met and exceeded my needs during the last service call when my water heater went out for the fifth time due to an faulty gas valve.

Brian and Decarlo did a great job. The job took longer than they expected and made changes I suggested. They were neat, competent and took the time to answer my questions and tell me about other plumbing concern they noticed on a walk through.

We had a drain backup in our shower. We called dutton plumbing and they offered to send someone in 15 mins. That was too soon for us, so they worked around our schedule and sent a technition when it was more convenient for us.

We were very pleased with the service Ramiro G provided. He was courteous and solved our problem very quickly. We really appreciated being contacted as to when he would be arriving. We would definitely use Dutton Plumbing again.

I want to thank Dutton Plumbing - and in particular - Steve Ferris, for fixing my most recent plumbing problem. Steve's diagnosis was quick and the problem resolved within minutes. Steve's professionalism sets a high standard for others to follow.

The tech and his crew were friendly and extremely neat and clean when doing the job. Always able to answer any questions we had. Stayed long and late but finished in in a very quick time frame. Re-plumbed the entire property in two days.

Matt Domingo was excellent in diagnosing my plumbing problem, and he replaced all the parts that I needed for my bathtub shower/water fixture. He did an excellent job at this and I was very happy at the results and how easily the fixture works now. His manner is very pleasant and friendly;. I recommend him very highly as a technician.
