Since 1983, Rondo Pools and Spas has been committed to using the industry's highest quality and most reliable products and materials. The number of manufacturers and product offerings in our industry is vast, but only a select few have been tried and tested and meet our high standards. Because we know that our clients will be enjoying their new pool for many years to come, the products we offer must be as dependable as they are functional.
We measure the value of our products by the satisfaction they provide to our clients, not by dollars it takes to buy them. With more than three decades of experience, we have been able to identify the Top of the Line Products in each phase of our pool building process.

Two years later and our pool is still awesome. We had a minor pump issue and the warranty covered it. Rondo coordinated the repair. It took a while to get the part, but once delivers, it was easily installed. Great pool ideas and excellent customer service. UPDATE: Our pool has been in place for just about 60 days and things are still great. The follow up and final touches confirms my 5 star rating.

Our 4-6 week remodel (Nov 2020) turned into 17 months (April 2022) of frustration. Despite COVID, they dropped the ball - lost file, poor communication, schedule mistakes, 3 project managers, stressful to have a project going (nowhere) for almost a year and a half. Project turned out fine, nothing special, company completely unapologetic.

Super sloppy employees, made a huge mess cleaning out their pump truck, even after asking their guys to please make sure to clean up after themselves, they still left a big mess of concrete clean up in the street in front of my house, not once, but 2 times. The office is not very responsive to calls or emails. Ended up having to sweep and hose down multiple times

I could not have made a worse decision picking Rondo as our pool builder. We signed our contract in March of 2021. They estimated an 8 months build time. Since covid made everything delayed we were ok with that time frame. Fast forward five months and they still hadn't even dug. They called us and said hey we have a clause in our contract that says if we haven't dug in in 120 days or somewhere around there we can up our prices.
I said well it is through no fault of ours you couldn't dig and we thought we locked in our pricing when we signed the contract. They said no we want another $5,000 or we will not start. We have you scheduled to dig in 2 weeks but you have to pay this extra money. We already gave the deposit and they knew if we called it off we would be at least a year out with another builder and more money so we were very unhappy but paid the money.
It has been 14 months since we signed and we still do not have a pool. It has been one disaster after another. I wish I could go back in time and use someone else. I was told everything should be done by May 1st and that is not even close to happening. Don't walk, run the other way from this awful company. Trust me you can find better!

Initial connections were great. Prompt to engage our inquiry. Prompt for initial site visit and initial drawing and quote. Upon working thru renderings and adjustments, the sales rep disappeared. He worked on updates as we saw videos were posted but he never sent them to us with updated bids and ghosted us. Our project is a big project and we did not reach back out to Brian as we want to work with someone who values our business and hard earned money so when the sales rep never followed up again, we proceeded with other contractors and signed a contract a few days ago. UPDATE While this rep never once followed up with us, somehow he found himself on the Instagram of the builder we chose and left nasty comments that they stole his design.
When in fact, we asked all builders for the same type of vision and since he ghosted us, we did recreate the sunken kitchen similar to his rendition but it was not HIS design - it is OURS. Very poor professionalism.

I was told we will be there tomorrow for pebble tec each day for over 2 weeks. I realize they are separate entities but don't over promise and under deliver. The reason for the low score is now the pool has been filled for almost 10 days yet Rondo has been "unable" to start the system. Supposedly they need to talk with Pentair for a CODE to be operational?
Why would it take more than a few hours to talk with the manufacturer to receive a code for start up? I was told they would hear within 72 hours a week ago. Completely unresponsive and quite frankly shocking a business like this does not make a new customer a priority. I will update this review as this is resolved.

Don't use them for your pool needs! Worse company I've ever had to deal with. They can't keep employees. Over the year of my pool being built I had 3 project managers. One of which I had to prohibit from coming to my house due to him being disrespectful, rude and verbally attacking me at my own house, only to find him in my backyard a couple of weeks later.
Customer service is definitely something they need to work on. If you leave a message, it's rare that they will call you back. And talking to a manager, is impossible. After my pool was done, I noticed stains at the bottom. They were quick to tell me it was all my fault, and the reason changed a couple of times. Only to find out by the company that finally came to do the acid wash, that it is normal for the stains to happen on the first month of so. Unfortunately, they missed stains, and they now want to do it all again. And guess who keeps paying for the water every time I have to drain and fill it? Yes, Me! Very stressful and disappointing experience!

We have been looking forward to our 1st AZ Summer in our new house with a pool. However, we have a concrete hole in our backyard in June. Excavation started in January! We are completely disappointed with the service, excuses and lack of communication. This is the most unorganized company I have ever worked with. We can respect delays when there is proper communication, but there is none. Off to the ROC we go. Go elsewhere and do not waste your time or money. Extremely unprofessional project management.

Do not trust this company.or at the very least read of our experience first. My wife and I entered into a contract with Rondo in September of 2020. At the time, we were Oregon residents and purchased a new construction home tentative to close end of March. In working with our sales rep/designer we discussed that our close date was subject to change and could stretch out past March.
We also informed our rep that we intended to wrap our pool cost into our mortgage. Being out of state buyers, unfamiliar with the area and the process of designing a pool in general, we trusted our reps guidance to enter into contract and were told there would not be any contractual issues/price increase/construction timeline changes if our close date was pushed out ("we were locked in" - sales rep words).
Over the course of 9 months we worked with our rep a multitude of times via zoom regarding design change, cost associated with the design, timeline, etc, and as we neared our tentative close date in March informed him that May was likely the firm close month. We were VERY vocal and transparent with our rep and expressed that we were aware construction prices have increased (our home price increased 100k+ in the course of 9 months) and asked him if the current conditions would affect our rate or guaranteed 8 week timeline from breaking ground and were assured that it absolutely would not.
We brought this up and discussed this more than twice as this was a concern of ours. Fast forward to May, my family and I drove down from Oregon two weeks prior to our home close date (May 27th) and met with our rep to choose our final selections, a week from closing on home. Our rep greeted us, but half-heartedly. He saw us into the building and shoved us off to the waiting area where we looked at some materials.
This was the first time we've met in person after constant communication over the course of 9 months and we were excited to finalize our selections in person. The vibe was weird, and it was super awkward. After completing selections, he then pulled out a price sheet and informed us that if we wanted to have our pool built by Rondo we would be on the hook for an additional $16k, but the owner would 'help' by giving us a $3k credit.
Keep in mind that from the time we entered the contract until then we had consistently asked about the price, industry, etc. and we were always reassured that "it was a good thing you signed when you did b/c prices have gone up a ton, " but that we were locked in. While there was technically a 6 month price hold on the initially contracted price, our sales rep failed to do what every good rep does - provide consistent, transparent communication.
When asked why he didn't inform us of this between the 180 day expiring until the meeting on May 20th his response was "sorry I overlooked it." After our initial shock/disbelief he gave us our pool plans and basically said "take it or leave it, " didn't even have the decency to walk us to the door or show any form of contrition or understanding of the predicament (week from closing, pool in the mortgage, and having to find a new builder) he left us in.
After speaking with the owner (I of course had to reach out first) - who gave us the full rundown of the industry, costs, etc. and that everyone is doing this to make up for short supplies and rising prices, he said there was nothing he could do and wasn't willing to meet us in the middle. When I brought up that it wasn't solely about the cost but lack of communication and broken trust a week before we closed on our home because of the sales rep, his response was "well, it's human nature and these conversations are never easy to have." Looking back, our rep was stand-offish b/c he knew he was lying to our face for months on end. It's clear that the lack of communication and intentional withholding of information comes from the top. Backing customers into a position where they have no choice but to continue to be mistreated.
End of the day, they will tell you one thing and have it be something entirely different i.e. when I asked how long the pool would take to be built at the last meeting our rep said 8 weeks. Fast forward two days and the owner tells me to expect five months. And to make matters even more pathetic, one of their supervisors showed up to our home a week after we ended the contract, pool plans in hand to survey the backyard.
If they can't get their communication straight internally it's no surprise they won't provide the proper expectations to their customers either. Luckily for us we had been in communication with another builder who came through for us and I am so happy to say we did NOT get scammed into sticking it out with Rondo. It's not about the price, it's about the principal. Without trust and transparency there is no relationship. Do yourself a favor and find a different builder.

The long delays came to an end, the project manager that took over midway saved the day and we finally got the pool we wished for and more. Make sure you ask that Anthony be your project manager and you'll be happy. 5 star quality pool. Took away one star because of delays and poor communication on the 20+ delays.

We had Rondo Pools build a pool a few years ago and had nothing but problems with them. The design guy was awesome and is what convinced us to go with Rondo vs the other pool builders we met with. However that's where the awesomeness stopped and the nightmare began. The construction team was an absolute pain in the butt to work with. They somehow managed to screw something up every step of the way.
They poured our pool decking completely different then the blue print showed and then had to grind it down. They installed the electrical differently then was planned during the design phase. Then they put the plumbing in incorrectly and made the Baja shelf several feet smaller then it was on the print. They ran over the brick pavers in the driveway with the bobcat.
Less then a year later the pool deck was cracking and coming apart. The level of craftsmanship with this company's subcontractors is severely lacking. I felt like I had to baby sit the project manager every step of they way and hold his hand because the quality control was so lacking. The communication between the construction team and us was horrible.
The construction manager was an absolute jerk and actually yelled at me on the phone. Overall building the pool was an extremely unpleasant experience and I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.

It started with my wife meeting with Matt M. to get an estimate for a backyard pool, when he left he said that he would have our estimate done in a few days. About a month later my wife called to find out why we hadn't received an estimate, he said that he was almost done with it. He sent the estimate a few days later, then once we had it he wouldn't stop calling and emailing asking for a contract.
We signed on September 9th and Matt assured us that the pool would be dug by mid October and finished around Christmas but definitely before January 1st 2021. After discussing some details and deciding where we wanted the pool positioned they sent a person to paint the dig outline, 8 feet away from where we wanted it. When I talked to Matt he told me that he could re-do the drawing and permit where we wanted it, but we might like it better where he drew it.
Around January 4, after a handful of missed messages and unreceived emails they sent an excavation crew to dig the hole. Then nothing. it took nearly a month to get the plumber to show up at 5 pm to start working. After 2 DAYTIME visits, the plumber was done, and there was garbage left everywhere. Empty boxes, cut pieces of pipe, energy drink cans on the front lawn, oil on the driveway from his truck.
The next contractor was rebar, who did his job promptly, and correctly, then left with no surprises. Next was electric, which as of this writing has never been finished, and we failed our inspection as a result of their incomplete work. Then several weeks later they came and did shotcrete, meanwhile a friend of mine had his pool dug after ours and finished and filled before we had shotcrete.
We were scheduled for deck forming a couple weeks later, but they missed 2 appointments and showed up a week later, which pushed the deck pouring back a week. After the pouring of concrete, I came home to find that they had pulled the forms and threw all of the broken wood into our new pool Now they can't get the tile contractor to come out, maybe next week. then 3 other tasks will be delayed because of this.
While I was researching with the AZ ROC I learned that any binding contract needs to have a completion date, but Rondo says that they can't control their unreliable subcontractors, so they don't need to give a completion date. When I contact our project manager he tells me that he has no contact with subs, and I need to call Cadie, who won't answer if I call the office phone, so I have to borrow cell phones that she doesn't know to contact her on her phone.
When I do get in contact with her, she has no useful information or answers, and quite frankly I can't think of anything that would prove her less helpful. She will always reply by email at the exact time that they close, but they can always pick up the phone and call when they want money. This organization has consistently shown less professionalism than the carpet installers who urinated in our driveway on their way out.

This review is overdue but we had our pool built by Rondo almost 4 years ago and have been very happy with it! and we use it almost everyday, April through September, this has been a hot summer and we're still swimming in the middle of October!;) If you're considering a pool build here are my tips to get the most out of it. Get the Pentair ScreenLogic controller so you can control the entire pool from your phone, it's one of the best apps I've used, very stable, and just so cool to be able to control EVERYTHING remotely, and even on the Apple Watch too!
Very handy and fun! You can even fire up the hot tub before you get home so it's ready for you;) Get the Ozone addition, I'm convinced it's done a great job keeping our pool crystal clear going on 4 years now, and allows you to run less chlorine too, so win-win. Get the pop-up cleaners, we're happy we did, not sure how much they help in comparison but like I said our pool has remained practically crystal clear going on 4 years now, and they're almost invisible, certainly less slightly than those roving shark cleaners dragging a hose behind them.
The only time it gets junk in it is when the neighbor's landscapers blow leaves into our yard, even then the pool takes care of it in a few hours, and there's barely ever anything on the pool floor. We got the deck jets (3x @ $300) a bit frivolous but totally worth it for pool parties and/or kids, or just extra spray on those 110+ degree summer days.
If you're getting a spa/hot tub pay attention when they lay out the jets, I wish I did, but no one asked me either. They put them in the middle on all sides but I would rather have them on the ends, or at least a couple, so you can lay back on the bench with a jet on your back, rather than just having to sit in the middle. If you're getting travertine edges or anything other than cool decking I guess, pay attention when they cut and lay it.
The guy doing ours kept putting the cut edge facing out (with cut marks) rather than hiding it and leaving the organic side as the visible part, all along the edge of the pool. Thankfully I kept catching it and asked him to fix them multiple times, but frustrating. Get a "Baja deck" -we love ours! one side of the pool has a 3 foot deck only 18" deep, and with 2 holes in the bottom for a table and/or umbrella, your choice of location. It's great and super handy for parties or just lounging, and of course short kids;) Speaking of umbrella holes, I wish I got more -a hole on the other side pool bench, and more in the cool deck around the pool too.
I think they were only $50 and they've proved to be much better than umbrella stands and/or tables when the wind picks up. We've already had a couple tables blow over and umbrellas launch and/or break, but we leave the one in the Baja deck pretty much year-round, it's secure. Ideally I'd have a half dozen or do around the south edge of the cool decking to block the most sun, and can be moved around if necessary. Now I'm digging holes in the dirt around the edges and laying concrete to make my own holes, but wish I just had them in the deck to begin with.

PebbleTec is horrible bring your swim trunks you can feel for yourself sent a guy out to polish it he pretty much told me it's too rough by the time he got it smooth it would be a big blue spot and feel like a polished stone which happened in the jacuzzi seat on a 1/2 deep notch owner of the pebbletec company came out made a joke of it haven't had contact back from rondo but it's been months looks like this is where it stays with out going the B(_)B good luck rondo called said they would look into after covid-19 will see

Rondo Pools built our dream pool! Everyone we connected with from sales to construction to the office team was professional and knowledgeable. Our sales rep Kyle listened to our design ideas and provided a beautiful CAD drawing. Our onsite construction manager Mike supervised every aspect of the building process. Mike definitely went above and beyond. Other teams that worked to build the pool always commented on how fortunate we were to have selected Rondo Pools. Great quality. Highly recommended.

I was so impressed with Rondo Pools! Their process from start to finish was so organized and professional. They communicated every step of the way and always kept us in the loop. The workmanship was excellent and each team that arrived was efficient and quick. The end result is a beautiful pool that looks and operates perfectly! We are so happy we went with Rondo.
We had three companies we got bids from and I can't imagine that the other two companies could have made the process as smooth as Rondo. I can tell the quality also surpassed what we would have received from others as well.

Rondo just finished our pool last month and we are very pleased with the results. We started the process in May and got quotes from different pool builders in the valley, including Rondo, Presidential, Cal Pools, Dolphin, and Unique Companies. We spent a few months going back and forth on designs and pricing before we selected Rondo. One of the most important things to us was the core pool infrastructure.
We wanted to make sure that it was engineered with the right in-floor cleaning system, large diameter pipes, and the right pool equipment. We selected Rondo because the A&A gamma (Venturi) system was superior to the systems offered by other vendors, and because they were a Pentair shop. Also, their quote was very competitive, if not the best, especially considering the quality of the equipment.
We signed with them in August (there was a delay before they could start, which is normal) and things were going very well until October, when we had torrential rain. Our pool had been dug, had pipes and rebar, and was filled with water along with other trenches for gas, plumbing, and electrical. Rondo sent crews out to drain it out several times and managed to prevent any collapse.
It was pretty stressful, but Rondo was very responsive and got everything back on track. There were other rain delays, holidays, and other changes (from us), so things we're pushed out a bit, but it was finished last month (January) and I am just now getting time to review. We've used our spa a few times and it works great, and we are looking forward to fully using the pool soon.
This pool turns the water over very quickly and we are getting great pressure out of our cleaning heads. Without the ability to turn the water over quickly, you'll never be able to maintain proper pool chemistry and your pool will require much more maintenance and be a pain to deal with. For those looking into building a pool, I would highly recommend Rondo as they consistently responded to our needs and challenges along the way, and built us a great pool that we are very happy with.

We purchased a lot to build a new home, and even before ground breaking we contacted three pool builders in the Phoenix are to give us some ideas and an estimate. Rondo was the only company that offered to meet us at the property to discuss this with us. The sales rep was knowledgeable, and he was excited. We discussed our needs and he gave us some options/opinions.

We recently purchased a pool from Rondo. We looked at a few companies and were the most impressed with Rondo and designer Raphy. He really impressed us with his design and presentation. The build went smoothly even with all the rain we received in the area. They even were able to work around the landscaping work that was being done in the backyard.

I wish to take this opportunity to express my thanks and appreciation for the way your organization and especially my project foreman, Mr. David Furman, ran and completed our pool project. Ever since moving to Arizona, I have been attracted to the Rondo Pool business. I guess because it is a family business and I favor that type of attention to detail.

We had a great experience with Rondo. The pool is wonderful; everyone was super courteous and helpful. Especially our Customer Care Rep who I emailed quite often; she was amazing, helpful, and super informative. She made the experience even better and walked us through each step of the process, even when we were annoying.

Very Satisfied Customer - We had a new pool and spa built by Rondo pools this spring. From the very beginning we were treated with professionalism, friendliness and caring for what our dream pool should be. Any concerns we had both during the construction and afterwards were immediately looked after with the same professionalism we received from the very beginning.
