Thompson Landscape

So I currently use a sister company of Thompson, they came out today for the first time. Since it was the first time they came out, I watched to see how they were doing. I was amazed. The only way to describe it is how my Hairstylist cuts my hair with her clippers. First they went straight across throughout the yard. Then hit the same area at a diagonal. Followed by a perfect trim with the weed wacker along the edges.

I didn't ask them to be through at all. It was all their process. I loved it and asked that my company continue to send that crew out to my place. Highly recommended from a guy who has had nightmares with lawn companies being lazy. Very refreshing- Thank you!

This company is a rip off! They leave your backyard gate open, fill your trash can with open trash and to top it off they do not do a good job cutting your lawn! These people are not the experts! If you have this company doing your lawncare cancel them immediately! They don't deserve one star! The girl in the office is rude! And the advertised price of the Service ends up being way more than $31.99! I will be contacting the BBB as well about this terrible company!

It may be premature to offer a review after the first service, but I was sooo impressed! Since moving to my current house 8yo, I have hired a new yard service most years bc of subpar and flaky service. Thompson crew showed up and transformed my yard! They were a large crew, everyone on his mission, and my yard perfect when they left. They are a bit more expensive, but worth it if this level of service continues.

2 calls to get an estimate. Not one return call. Sure wouldn't want to sign up for the service if they can't even return a voicemail.

We hired this company to do weekly mowing. They started out fine, but they have a different crew during the off season. This temporary crew has made me cancel my services with this company. This crew refused to follow instructions which were to not mow/edge/blow the backyard. I have a pool and a pond and they are messy, so it is easier to do it myself. Well, they mowed/edged/blew out the backyard, leaving me with a huge mess to clean up.

I brought this to their management, who assured me it would be taken care of. Well, several times later, each time they could not follow directions, each time I complained, each time I was assured they would not do it again. Welp, I guess 8 times is enough for me to cancel my services with them. Would not recommend.

Critical: Professionalism Waste of time. sent a mailer to my neighborhood with medium sized lots. ONLY TAKE extremely small lots as customers. Clearly not a quality company with communications

I have had these guys for the past year and they are on time and do a great job every single time. Sadly I had to cancel due to a move but I would recommend these guys 10 out of 10 times.

It has been nice to not have to tell this company every single week where my property line is, I dont have to ask them to come back to mow areas they skipped and they dont throw my yard furniture around - all of which my previous company did. These guys are quick and efficient and my yard looks nice every time.

I have been using Thompson Landscape since April 2021 for mowing services. I am very pleased with their service. They are professional and consistent. It is very easy to call and reschedule a mow if needed and they email you their invoices.

I have been using Thompson Landscape for many years now and they are great. They are reasonably priced and mow my yard every week. The workers are very conscientious and do a great job. I also use them for cleaning my shrob beds and they really do a great job on that. I highly recommend them for all your landscaping needs.

I was so excited to find a company that did mowing, fertilization, and weed control! Signed up with their friendly customer service folks gave them my east McKinney address and credit card info. They never showed up. I had to call and email to find out that they don't service east McKinney only west McKinney. Why didn't they tell me that from the first? They did refund my money they day I followed upt, but they can't restore my confidence or improve my frustration. Grass is tall, temper is hot!

We have used their service for 3 years. This year, out of the last 4 mows, there have been issues 3 of the mows. 1st time they didn't mow our backyard; only the front and side was done. The 2nd mow they didn't show up at all! I even called the company 3 times that evening to inquire on when they were going to arrive. I was told each time 'Yes, they were still coming but just running late'.

It ended up with me calling the next morning and being told it would have to wait till the next day before they could come back out. The 3rd mow everything seemed to be good again. And now for the 4th mow they not only didn't finish mowing our yard but they also left all the gates open which allowed our dog to escape! I called them the next day and was told they were understaffed and had all new crews this year due to covid-19 and was causing them to lose customers.

This was their explanation on why. Yes, she was very apologetic and such but was unacceptable to us. Really, to me, all this means that they don't have good supervision on their crews that they're sending out and just waiting for complaints from customers. They've lost our business forever. Just avoid this company for service.

Ok, but not great. They showed up and mowed the lawn on time, but were a bit sloppy. They also blew a ton of grass into my pool, which was a bit frustrating.

They mowed once and then told me my property was too big and that they wouldn't come back (via email). It was an average mow and they didn't clean up their mess. They also came 3 weeks later than agreed and never notified me. I'm very dissatisfied with the service I received.

I just built a new home in Mckinney by Craigs Ranch, and there a tons of landscaping options here. It's basically all new home construction, so the options are vast. After some research, I choose Thompson Landscape because I thought they gave the best options and pricing for my needs. I've been using them for about 3 months now. The crew comes every Monday bright and early (just how I like it) and they have really done a consistent job each time.

Our lawn is always cut nice and even, all the way to the fence line. They are neat, tidy, and FAST! They are respectful of our belongings in the back yard, and have never damaged anything. I am quite pleased so far. The customer service is excellent and the office management is very courteous and professional. I plan on being a permanent customer! Look no further for your landscaping needs, this company is top notch and on the ball! 5 Stars!

First off, this company is *very* expensive. That would be tolerable if Thompson provided top-notch service. The problem is that they expect you to dance around their schedule. Over the year we used them, their crews would show up without notice, or show up before 8 AM, or we would get a text notice for a service call that never came. If they came, portions of the property were missed or contracted services were skipped. After a point the whole thing just gets to be a royal pain. I'd rather service the yard myself, thank you.

Thompson Landscape has done a fantastic job for us and for a reasonable price! From clearing weeds to maintaining our lawn, they are efficient and thorough. Our lawn was horrible when we moved into our house last year, and thanks in no small part to their help, we no longer are the ugliest lawn on the block. Not only do their service guys do a top notch job, but their office staff have been very responsive.

We loved our first cut. Looking forward to many more. They were on time. Grass looks great. They were meticulous.

They have been very professional thus far (we have only had one mow with them so far) with a great and informative website, prompt customer service and very clean lawn service. My lawn needed professional care and it needed to look like professional care was applied. There were multiple phases (fertilization, lawn and shrubbery care) necessary for the effort of which were clearly specified by the company. It was up to me to choose those steps, some sooner than later. My lawn/shrubs have been a now and then example in April. I'm more than satisfied at this point.

I know if I have any issues, I can call the office w/o hesitation. I gave 4 stars now as I would like to see how Thompson's services continue through the summer. For the first month (April), it would be 5 stars.

Great costumer service! They come out on time and go above and beyond to make sure everything is done correctly. They are also reasonably price. I would recommend them!

I hired Thompson to take care of lawn and shrub services at my daughter's house and I am so glad I did. The office staff is friendly and professional and made the sign up process seamless. The lawn care staff did an excellent job and now she has the best looking yard in the neighborhood.

While Thompson Landscape does a good job on the yard, they repeatedly will not lock the gate when leaving my property containing a swimming pool. This is a HUGE hazard. Great service, but they need to rethink complete customer service. I have called their office repeatedly on this and last Friday the gate was left open for about the 5th time. Grown men, receiving good money on a regular basis should be responsible enough to lock the gate. If it happens again, they will no longer service my property.

We have used Thompson Landscape for our lawn service for several years now. Before we started with them, we had tried various others with many issues. They always are dependable, get the job done quickly and do a first-class job on our lawn. We appreciate them very much!

We were able to receive service rather quickly, and that was much appreciated. I ran to the store and by the time I made it back, Thompson Landscape had already came, done an amazing job, cleaned up, and left. The yard looks amazing, and I'm excited to know that we now have a lawn service that we can count on!

Avoid this company at all cost! I wish I would have checked the other reviews before I hired them. They billed me for one yard mowing that I had already paid them for and I proved it to them with the cancelled check. I called and was told that if I didn't pay them for this yard mowing, they would turn the charge over to a collection agency and it would affect my credit.

The person actually said "we will ruin your credit if you don't pay us" I left several messages with the girl that answers the phones for the manager to call me back but he never did. Sure enough, I get a letter from a collection agency (see attached) for an amount double the amount for the bogus one mowing charge. This collection went on my credit report & tanked my credit score.

This company is nothing more than a shakedown artist that will ruin your credit by turning over bogus charges to a collection agency. Also, they email you what they claim is a legal binding "contract" after they have already started mowing your yard. I was told that I was bound to this lengthy contract with all kinds of legal terms in it because they had emailed it to me even though I never signed it!

There are plenty of yard mowing companies out there that don't try to hold you to a shakedown "contract" that Thompson Landscape says the customer is bound to because it was emailed to them.

The crew does a great job. Cleans up well. Never knew they were even here except for the cut grass!

This is my first time using Thompson and I would have given 5 stars but there is a little patch around my a/c unit where they missed. I loved they bagged the clippings and left them neatly tucked at the end of the driveway

Not only was I a customer of Thompson Landscape, which the owner states I wasn't, I have copies of payments to Thompson Landscape. The account was under the name of my partner Michael who has a different last name than I do, but the house was on Maywood Drive in Carrollton off Marsh Lane. I have proof that my partner and I were customers which I will happily provide to Yelp.

We have been very pleased with the service! Good prices and they do a good job and leave things clean and neat. We are using lawn mowing, weed control and bush trimming services. We still weed our own beds.

Thompson Landscaping has been mowing my lawns weekly for the past couple months, and I'm happy with work they do for the reasonable service charge. Edging work is thorough and clean, and they will take a moment before mowing the backyard to move toys or other things my dog leaves laying around. Solid basic lawn service!

Thompson Landscape has provided our lawn care first at our previous house (small yard) in Plano, and now for about nine years at our current home with a much larger yard. We have a big corner lot with stone retaining walls which require about triple the amount of edging, and they mow and edge once a week.

I have been very pleased with Thompson. Price is good. Work is on time, quick, and they work well with you on changing days if needed. I like being able to auto pay on my credit card. Although I found it curious the name on the CC statement shows Budget Lawn Care instead of Thompson.

I haven't outsourced my lawn care in a couple of years because as every one knows no one does it better than yourself. In this case though I have found the Thompson has done an excellent job. My lawn looks great and gets mowed consistently.

Love them! We do their biweekly service and the guys are here like clock work and very polite with our kids. Their billing is great because it allows you to pay it when you want or have it directly taken out of your account.

Very timely and quick. Only thing is that a more personable landscape contractor will do other projects for you. Workers do not know english. Price is hard to beat.
