We signed and almost immediately formally cancelled our potential contract with Cypress Air. They are almost never available and our large deposit, which was cancelled immediately with no services performed, is still in limbo for over two weeks. These guys are in way over their heads with financial operations, customer service, and technical work. Filing complaint with BBB and will get the fraud division of our bank on their case to get our money back.

Look elsewhere and never ever sign anything with these folks. I'm changing our credit card after seeing they're billing customers for service work for units that were never installed. There are bad actors out there looking for suckers who might call Cyprus Air heating and Cooling. Take this note when you file your legal work. Virginia Code 59.1-335.9. This is one of the worst companies, if not the worst company, that I have ever worked with. Here is my experience with Cyprus after I bought a Carrier heat pump and air handler installed by Cyprus. 1) The installation was insanely botched up. They installed the duct work literally in front of the air handler so it could not be accessed for preventative maintenance.

This was also a safety concern because the vent was sticking out so I was literally just about to hit my head on the corner of the duct every time I tried to get laundry. Only with caution was I not. I told Cyprus that they need to come and fix the ducking as part of preventative maintenance so they could actually do the preventative maintenance but they said they were going to charge me for that.

This was a total reverse on what the Cyprus installer told me that Cyprus "would take care of me, " specifically regarding this exact thing that the installation was covering up access to the air handler. I had spent thousands on a new heat pump and air handler and they made the mistake of making it virtually inaccessible yet they would not fix it.

They wanted to charge me to come out to look at it. I later had another company fix their mistake for several thousand more dollars. They could not believe the installation and noted several problems with the installation and corrected/improved the airflow ratios beyond the haphazard ducting. 2) Cyprus told me absolutely nothing regarding the units I purchased.

This is now a major issue because apparently my Carrier heat pump warranty was changed from 10 years to 5 years because the equipment was not registered. I was never ever told that I needed to register my equipment. Ever. Now the compresser in my unit failed. Of course about one year past 5 years, so thousands more will be needed to fix it. Cyprus also of course said they would not honor their warranty which was even longer than the Carrier warranty because they did not do preventative maintenance on the equipment.

Well obviously. because they wanted to charge me thousands more to fix their installation nightmare. I had a different company look at the heat pump and tell me the air compressor was broken and told me it should be under warranty and let me know most companies do in fact register the equipment for the owner when the equipment is installed. Of course not this company.

Not only did the not do it, but they did not the me to do it either. 3) The other thing that they completely neglected to tell me was that I had a return duct adjacent (directly under the air handler) above which was a second air filter. I did not know that there was an air return and filter over there. I was only aware and shown one filter replacement which was for a air return that flowed into where the second return was coming in.

The filter most directly near the unit was not being cleaned/replaced. So I am constantly replacing air filters but not until I had a problem did I discover I had to replace the other air filter. Obviously I had AC/heat problems frequently because of this. 4) This is less serious, but to give a full picture. It took a long time (I don't remember exactly how long, but many calls and visits to get everything installed right from the start) evenafter everything (heat pump/air handler was physically installed to get the heat working properly because they installed the thermostat wiring incorrectly so emergency heat would automatically turn on whenever heat was selected.

This would make the house roasting and wound not stay a a consistent temperature. I think this took 3 visits to get fixed after everything was installed get resolved. Believe it was a pain to get the out once they got paid even on a new install. Horrible experience. Absolute garbage company. Crap crap crap stay away. You don't want to deal with them.

Beware! This company is terrible. I scheduled an appointment for a free estimate on a new A/C unit. The tech was supposed to arrive between 5-6. They never showed. I called twice and received two messages from their answering service that the tech was on the way. Time passed and I received no call from the business regarding the status of the technician nor did they call the next day to apologize.

Customer service is nonexistent. You don't get to speak to anyone at the business. You communicate through the answering service. Very impersonal. If you can, find another HVAC company to service your A/C needs.

We paid to renovate two fireplaces. Remove gas boxes and install gas burners and ceramic logs. First use with flue OPEN. Smoked brick front. Multiple service calls and always they called back to cancel. Not your usual honest hardworking Greeks.

We bought a Large Big Green Egg with all fees to the tune of just over $1200. Delivery was changed 3 times. My husband took a whole day off 3 days ago to wait for them. The even called to confirm the appt after it being changed THREE times. No show. After and calling and speaking to Sharon (manager), the delivery finally occurred on the ORIGINAL today.

After paying $150 for delivery and installation, (when it's FREE delivery UNLESS you need assembly (which it turns out we really didn't) and it turned out to be one guy in an unmarked pickup dropping the egg into the existing hole, essentially, I feel really ripped off.after THREE delivery time changes. I paid over $1200 for a new Big Green Egg. I would have REALLY expected much better service. Oh, and try to go ahead and call the delivery contractor. Took me FOUR times to get a real person instead of a "We're busy.

Call back later", or, "the best way to reach us is to email." UNBELIEVABLE. Had it NOT BEEN for Sharon at Cyprus Air, I would have moved on and gone to another distributor. GOOD LUCK.

Cyprus was responsive and professional. We were sent alerts to be prepared for visits by their technicians, including a photo of Paris before he arrived. He was cordial and respectful, and confirmed our consent for his proposed fix of the whisk (the white cord left dangling in our fireplace from the gas connection by prior workers), making it more appropriate by putting a black connector on to make it much more pleasing, inconspicuous, and an appropriate option for our fireplace.

He demonstrated the remote and had homeowner practice with it, further leaving guidelines at the mantel and on the other side of the room, making it accessible for all. We feel it greatly enhances our use of the living room and are pleased with the service.

Be aware of your contract please when dealing with these people! They will haphazardly charge your card on file months after completing the service (7 months in my case) without notice, invoice, or a bill. They do not provide adequate proof or explanation of due balances, nor are they willing to talk to their customers like respectable adults. I was hung up on multiple times by two individuals, Rhonda Johnson and Aidelis Gonzalez.

These are two very unprofessional employees to have working in a customer service department. I assume they were not able to answer my questions regarding the contract and their billing practices, but instead of escalating me to someone who might be able to, I was accused of having not read my contract over and over again. When asked to confirm the verbiage of the contract with me, Rhonda began to read back the terms and suddenly realized where they did not align with the action taken.

She then began adding in more words on the fly as if I wasn't reading the same contract. All of this after I've already paid in full for less than satisfactory service from the get-go. After my initial consultation I was given the me the run around about my install date due to the lack of ability to efficiently coordinate a propane tank delivery, then they finally showed up on the agreed install date with a damaged product, only did a portion of the install and had to come back. Would NEVER do business with or recommend this company to anyone ever again.

I share all the terrible reviews regarding their customer service. I have been trying since November to have my gas fireplace fixed. Trying to get a technician to come to my house has been THE WORST experience. You either deal with an 'answering service' that can do nothing, or you're sent into a death loop of holds before they ultimately disconnect you.

They have scheduled 4-hour windows for the technician to come, then change the window and don't bother telling you. OR, the technician just doesn't show up, and no one calls to let you know. If I wasn't so deep into the process of getting my fireplace fixed I would just give up on using it this year, and wait until summer and go with another company. UPDATE: They just no-showed for the second time, with no call to let me know. When I tried to call I was on hold, "2nd in line" for a while, then disconnected. Absolutely the worst.

This company is the worst. I have been an existing customer with a maintenance contract on my gas fireplace. I often have to try to call 3 or 4 times before I can speak to someone or leave a message. The voicemail is often full and no one calls you back. Twice now I've had a scheduled appointment- confirmed by phone and an email from Cyprus. The first time, I waited until the end of the service window when no one showed up.

I called only to find out no one was coming. The technician's truck broke down. Really? Couldn't they have called me? The second time, I had 2 confirmation phone calls and an email from Cyprus. Again I waited till near the end of the service window because I hadn't heard from anyone. Now I'm told the part I paid for up front - that I was told was I in stock, is now on order.

No one is coming (today) after I wasted 5 hours waiting. And my gas fireplace is still unusable - yes - the one I have a service contract on. God knows when someone will come, if ever. As soon as it gets fixed, or I get my money back, the service contract will be cancelled and I'll have nothing more to do with this company.

He arrived on time, was very professional and knowledgeable, protected the work area, and answered all of our questions. We signed up for the maintenance plan and look forward to building a long term relationship for our fireplace needs.

Had wood burning fireplace converted to gas insert. The two service technicians (1 per installation phase) were professional, efficient, and patient in explaining the new gas fireplace. The problems with Cyprus Air lie in the administrative office. They weren't available during business hours, routing calls to after hours customer support who couldn't answer many questions.

The daytime customer support never called me back, though after hours folks sent emails to them. They had neglected to schedule Fairfax gasline inspection, and that delayed final installation process. Poor service on that side of the business. Good service with technicians. Therefore, 3 stars.

I'm extremely disappointed with my Cyprus Air experience and kicking myself for not checking Yelp first (wish I could give 0 stars). Run, don't walk, away from this place! The sales team promised the moon (of course) but the installation and repair crews are horrible and unresponsive. I had my traditional fireplace converted to a gas one right before Christmas, and not even 3 weeks later, it broke completely and I haven't been able to get it fixed no matter how many calls I make to customer service.

I guess I should have seen the red flags during installation (they never scheduled the inspection, then they didn't label the gas line (which nearly caused me to fail said inspection), and then one of the gas logs was broken (no biggie, mistakes happen, but I was told that it would've replaced ASAP and I never heard back)). Worst of all, I'm almost positive they created a gas leak, as my house smells of gas and my bill is 3x what it was prior.

After nearly 3 weeks of calling customer service, all I've heard back is that I should shut off the gas myself and that it's an installation issue (no kidding). Apparently, the installation crew is so bad or busy that they aren't even responding to customer service's messages (they claim they don't have a direct number and that they've messaged them multiple times). Further, the repair crew won't/can't help, so I'm stuck waiting to hear back and I'm getting less sure that it will ever happen.

So I had a sales rep come and talk about their products gas insert to convert the fireplace - but when we said we needed to think it over give us a day or two the guy walked out like he was upset and we were not finished reviewing selections even. Also FYI they want 50% down and the other 50% when their gas line guy comes in a week (?) which is very odd as most contractors ask 30% and pay a little more mid way then pay the last after it's all done) I called Corporate and left a message and it's been 3 days the guy said he was only the answering service it kicks out to when their call lines are too busy (?) how many people must be calling to complain about their devices = red lights = RUN!

Their own personnel bad mouth the company stating that they've raised concerns over how they handle business and treat their customers.if that is the way their own employees feel, why would anyone even consider using them for a job. They called to confirm our appointment three times leading up to it and then no-showed the day of in addition to not calling to let us know they wouldn't be coming/would be late. The employee I talked with on the phone said this had been a problem for multiple years and that no one listens to her there when she tries to rectify the situation.

I really want to give zero stars. I wish I had read some of these reviews on yelp before doing business with this company. I have to warn people out there stay far away from this company. After the installation, there was a gas leak due to poor installation. They came to "fix" this and the next day our carbon monoxide detector went off. I didn't even realize we had a carbon monoxide detector (thought it was just a fire alarm) and thank God we did or else I would not be here to write this review.

I had to call the fire department and make sure the house was safe to enter. We turned the gas line off and after trying to get someone from Cyprus to fix or replace the gas fireplace, nobody has called me back! I called customer service several times and they really haven't been helpful. No technician called back or tried to fix this gas leak!

I resorted to calling washing gas and they told me to keep the gas turned off until Cyprus fixes the gas leak in the fireplace. This company is not worth dealing due to their lack of professionalism, unreliability, and poor technical ability. I would spend a little more money and work with a qualified gas fireplace company. We can't even use our newly installed fireplace because we don't know if we will wake up the next day from CO poisoning. This is a complete disappointment and I'm so upset I didn't read these other reviews prior to doing business with this place.

2 months ago, November 5th to be exact, we had our gas fireplace serviced -needed some cleaning and maintenance. It was working. But we were told we needed to replace a part to make the pilot light turn on faster. OK. $1000 with labor part was installed but the tech broke another critical piece (tube) and for two months the fireplace had not been able to be used. 2 months! After spending $1000,- and it was working before the service! No sense of urgency getting this replaced. Totally feel scammed. Horrible horrible service. Do not recommend.

I called on Cyprus Air to service our gas fireplace and answer several questions we had about its operation. The technician they sent was Miguel. Miguel took the time not just to show us how to do things but to supervise us as we performed the tasks he had shown us how to do. Companies like Cyprus Air are only as good as their technicians and if Miguel is any indication, then they are indeed a five star organization.

We have a converted gas fireplace that had never been cleaned or serviced, and since spending more time at home due to COVID, we thought we better have it checked out before turning it on this year. I searched and found Cyprus, which offers a discounted price with an annual maintenance contract. We made an appointment and I'm glad we did. I don't want a faulty gas line in the house so I feel better knowing the fireplace is now clean and in good working order.

They called to let me know when the tech would arrive and I received text updates about his arrival time. Christian was pleasant, professional and efficient. I recommend them!

Cyprus Air was scheduled to come to my home to provide an estimate in November and never showed up. In December, they called to ask for a second chance and against my better judgement, I agreed to an estimate for Dec. 30. The tech was scheduled to come between 1-2, then 3:30-4:30, then 5-6 pm (texted me the new times all day long). Supposedly he arrived at 5:30 pm, took a picture of my front door and LEFT!

He never knocked, rang the doorbell, or called or texted to say he arrived. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - IF THEIR TECHS CANNOT EVEN PROVIDE AN ESTIMATE, WHAT KIND OF WORK WOULD THEY DO?

Called to order gas fireplace cleaning, maintenance and inspection for 2 fireplaces. Derrick was very quick and efficient. He pointed out the problems I was having with my fireplaces, recommended suggestions and set up a follow up appointment with replacement parts. He was able to give me quotes on the spot! Although their pricing is on the higher end, their service was amazing. Also excellent constant follow up and contact to confirm my appointment and to follow up after my appointment. Great service!

Got off the phone with a horrible experience trying to get a quote on the price for the service or to schedule the time, which the operator responded like an idiot, "I'm sorry I cannot help you with scheduling or know how much it costs. I can only relay messages and if they don't respond, there's nothing I can do" Then what's the point of them advertising their number on Clipper for?

Almost like an invisible business or hiding from clients/potential clients! Not only that the rep was rude and cutting me off trying to ask him what the point of me calling when he doesn't have answer after not hearing from them for 2 days leaving questions but no one called back nor responded! If I could give a negative -#, that would be this shady company!

They called us this year for our yearly service. We have a plan that we pay monthly. I was hopeful they'd turned a new leaf and would now be reliable. No such luck. After three texts and a phone call confirming service, they never showed! I called the office and no one could help me. They suggested rescheduling. I asked to speak w a manager. No one has called me back. These people are the most unreliable. I would never recommend.

I thought replacing my 15 year old ac unit would save me money on my electric bill. If you are considering replacing your ac run away from Cyprus air. The price was less but phew do u get what you pay for. We got a new unit on June 11, 2021. It was a cooler day so we really didn't notice until it warmed up. Once it did we noticed the ac was running approx 20 hours a day.

Which was more than our 15 year old unit. After 4 service calls where they were trying to figure out what's wrong and numerous Freon refills, they realized the unit in the attic was the incorrect one installed. Well yesterday they replaced it with what was supposed to be in there. And guess what it's still not cooling. Now they're trying to tell us that the Lennox ac is doing what it can do.

Which is basically run 20 hours without cooling. We were better off with the old unit. It's to the point that we're considering having them remove it completely and hire a more reliable company. For context my downstairs ac unit that was installed by Fh Furr runs half the time and cools 2 stories, while my unit installed by Cyprus is only for 1 story.

I signed a contract with Cyprus Air after their tech did a good job cleaning my gas fireplace. I found out later that (due to no fault at Cyprus) the fireplace was unusable because of significant issues in the chimney structure. I opted to just stop using the fireplace entirely. I called Cyprus to see if there was any way they would work with me to allow the dollars from the service contract to be applied to a different product sold by them - a Big Green Egg, whatever.

Still keeping the money with Cyprus, but used in a different manner since my fireplace was unusable. I called twice, requesting call backs from a manager with authority to make that decision, and received no calls back. I called a third time, after being charged again post-cancellation, and while the incorrect charge is going to be refunded, I was told that nothing could be done with the other money I'd spent.

I signed the contract, and was not requesting a refund - just looking to work with the company to try to use my dollars in another way. They were 100% unwilling to work with me in any way at all whatsoever. Caveat emptor.

I bought a new HVAC unit in November 2020 and the heat worked fine during the winter months. When I turned my AC on it worked for about 2 hours and stopped. I called Cyprus Air and they sent the guy who installed it out the same day May 5th. He said there was ice in the line so he fixed that and it was working fine. It got cool outside that night so I turned it up but when it turned hot again no cool air was coming out.

I called and told them it wasn't working again and the temperature was supposed to hit the high 80's and someone needed to come out asap. I was told there was no one available and since I had a Maintenance call on the 25th of May they would be able to check on it. The gentleman came out and said there was ice in the line and he needed to add a pound of Freon. It's a brand new system that hasn't worked so why would it need Freon?

His speculation was that there might be a leak somewhere and the crew that put it in needed to come out to check the system since it was still under their jurisdiction. I called in to see when someone could come back out to check the system and they said Friday May 28th. Found out there was a hole in the coil and it needed to be replaced. I called on Tuesday and they tell me they have to order the part and will call me back with a date.

I didn't get a call and when I called back in they advised that it was ordered and probably won't be in until next Tuesday the 8th and it would be 3-5 business days after that when they can send someone out. I AM SOO DISGUSTED WITH THE SERVICE I'VE RECEIVED I COULD SCREAM. When you pay A LOT of money for a system you expect it to work And you shouldn't have to wait 4 weeks! I shouldn't have to sit up in a hot house either for the next 2 weeks. What happened to the emergency Service they advertise?

Run away, they will sucker you into a $40 per month maintenance contract. There service is mediocre at best. The information on their installation is poorly explained and will take mulitple visits. There are much better installers in the area. They broke my gas pipe in the middle of the winter and I was without heat for over 24 hours. No compenation or apology. A group of fast talking salesman who will lock you into a ridiculous contract.

Very poor service on my fireplace. I bought the yearly service agreement, called to schedule the service only to reschedule twice. I was given the window of 9 am and 1pm when no one showed up I called the company and was told that there was a delay and the technician will be coming between 4 and 8 pm. They should have at least give me heads up. I am very unhappy with their poor service.

I'm surprised by the low ratings. While I found the sales staff to not be very well organized, the actual installation was perfect. We had our wood fireplace converted to gas in December 2020. Everything for the installation was communicated in advance, and everything was done on time. There were no surprise fees or problems. The fireplace is working great, as we've used it several times already. And the price was right -- about $400 less than we were quoted by a competitor. Note that we purchased through the Rockville store, not Northern Va.

Hate these people, I canceled my contract last year because of lousy service and they continued to charge me, never got the full amount of overcharge back. They are thieves! Found other places charge at half as much as these people, so check around!

Awful, awful company. We went with them for our new HVAC system because frankly, they had the lowest price and the sales team was friendly and professional. It all went downhill from there. Within two months we had a refrigerant leak due to an installation error. The company refused to cover the repairs unless we bought into the "Presidential Maintenance Plan" for $240 a month.

Within a couple of years, it became clear that their business operations, billing department, customer service, and ethics were completely broken. We continued to pay for the annual maintenance plan, even after they abruptly increased the price by 50% to $360 a year. Then without notifying us, they shifted us to a different billing schedule that resulted in an over payment of $720, which they refunded after hours of phone calls. Technicians continued to come for annual visits, but getting quotes or follow-ups on any additional work that needed to be done proved impossible.

We simply never got calls back. The last straw was when we heard the sound of water dripping from our indoor HVAC unit one morning. That's a very serious issue, but it is precisely what we expected to be covered by the annual maintenance plan, which promises "24 hour emergency support." Well, when we finally got connected to a customer service rep, she said that they couldn't send someone out until Monday, three days from now. That's three days in the the middle of the summer with no AC and potentially serious water damage.

After paying hundreds of dollars of year for their maintenance plan. Save yourself frustration and wasted money. Don't use Cyprus or their new incarnation, Washington Home Services.

They cleaned my fireplace and it immediately stopped working. I had 4 techs come out from Cyprus. The last one finally found the problem and they gave me a quote for two parts 1800 for one and 700 for another. It would take weeks for them to get parts. I looked up more info on these parts and then had another company come out since I had lost my trust in Cyprus.

The new companies tech grabbed a part from his truck that day and charged me 129. 00 for the labor and part they were wanting 1800.00 for. My fireplace is fixed! It's outrageous!

I'm glad I did not go through with hiring them after reading the reviews, but I still was surprised by how bad they were at follow up. I had seen Cyprus's ad and put in an online request for a plumber to stop by and do an estimate. No email confirmation, no call despite what saying on the web page that I'd get a confirmation. When I called this morning to see if someone was coming, I explained to the operator what happened, and she starts asking questions and I asked if she is creating a new appointment or checking on the status of the online appointment?

She says that she is creating a new appointment, and I ask is there then no appointment? She responds, "Just because you book something online does not mean we are coming out." I was like well that's weird, what's the point of using your website? She said well there's nothing in the system. I said okay, don't worry about it. Now seeing all these reviews on Yelp, I guess I'm glad they never showed up!

My new AC unit was under warranty and had issues within one year. Parts and labor were covered under manufacturer's warranty. Here's what happened in my scenario (Spoiler alert: took over 3 weeks to fix my AC unit) 5/5/20 - Petros (technician) arrives to diagnose the issue. Charges $129 and says the issue is due to a faulty breaker switch that keeps tripping due to voltage.

I ask for an estimate to fix it and I get a quote over $300. I go to Lowe's and get a breaker switch and replace for less than $10. The issue still persists and the switch keeps tripping. Breaker switch was not the issue! Interesting to me was that this was the first time CyprusAir ran into an issue like this. after being in service since the 1960's. ONE WEEK GOES BY.

The technician comes again to see why the AC is not working. 5/13 - Upon further investigation Petros (technician) finds that it was the compressor that was shorting. Specifically says it was a miss on his end on 5/5 for not catching this issue. Then tries to charge me for the 2nd visit. I declined the payment saying the diagnosis wasn't done right the first time and I wasn't going to pay twice for someone's inability to find the issue in the first attempt.

He constantly argued that I had to pay. I wanted to talk to a supervisor at that point. Nicole, Service Manager, then agrees not to charge me for that day's visit. Petros takes all the info and says will order the part. Wait for it. doesn't take all the info to submit. 5/14 - Petros needs to come in again. Did not get the info needed to submit the parts request. Sheer ineptitude?

Never done this before? ONE MORE DAY LOST. HEADING INTO THE WEEKEND! 5/18 - 5/22: I called every day asking for an ETA and everyday I'm promised that Nicole (Service Manager) will call me. Receive a call on Friday 5/22 from Service Manager Nicole saying appointment has been scheduled on 05/27/2020 between 10AM-1PM. Kept saying the delay was due to parts being ordered. I'll buy that.

Maybe it was due to Covid. Most customer service reps were courteous all week except for one (very rude). ANOTHER WEEK HAS GONE BY. STARTED APPEARING LIKE SERVICE ISSUES UNDER MANUFACTURER WARRANTY WERE LOW PRIORITY. TEMPERATURE IN THE HIGH 80s. 5/27 Morning - Gordon (technician) calls and says due to scheduling conflict he will not be able to come to my property for service.

Poor planning on Cyprus Air's behalf has inconvenienced me a lot. I wanted to speak to Nicole and wanted to request an escalation. But, very coincidently, I was told by Gordon that Nicole is not in the office today. 5/28 - FINALLY! Unit is fixed. I will give some benefit of the doubt for the delays due to COVID; but, was let down by technical ineptitude, bad customer service, and poor planning that inconvenienced my family (with two girls 6&8 years old). I hope this can be used as a learning lesson on where service could be improved. The two stars are for the customer service team. Technical services score zero.

STAY AWAY AND SAVE YOUR DIGNITY! I purchased LENNOX heat pump from Low's in Aug 2016. Low's doesn't do installation so they hired Cyprus Air to do the job. Installation went well and I was happy and I thought I'd have a peace of mind for at least the next 8 years or so. I had regular seasonal maintenance for the system done by a general contractor with whom I have contract with.

I turned the AC on a few weeks ago and there was no cool air blowing so I contacted Cyprus Air to come and take a look. They did a very costly nitrogen test and found a leak in the outdoor unit. They also told me that the compressor and the dryer need to be replaced. While the unit is still under warranty, they quoted their labor cost at $2,500, really?

They told reason why I had those issues on a very young system is because I didn't contact for regular maintenance. They claimed that I had agreement with them for regular maintenance, which is required to maintain the warranty. I don't recall signing such agreement with them so I asked them for a copy of the agreement which they failed to show me.

I stopped by their office today after several attempts to get copy of the agreement via email and countless phone calls which they don't respond to. I was kept at the door for a long time while one of their employees was sitting in his desk doing nothing and the other was in the phone chatting and laughing. When I hollered, she waved with the back of her hand saying "we will be with you shortly".

Then a gentleman came to talk to me. All I can say about him is that he is the most disrespectful person I have ever met. He was screaming at me while I was telling him about what happened, his voice was so loud and he was talking over me. He printed one page which he said is the agreement. It doesn't have my signature or any indication showing that I had reviewed it.

When I told him this, his voice got louder and I really felt unsafe to stay so I left. What I think had happened is that Cyprus Air gave me a system that was sitting in their warehouse and was defected otherwise how come such supposedly "good and very expensive" brand get damaged in only 3.5 years given that I had it maintained by a professional contracted twice a year. Yelp needs to adjust the rating stars so people can give zero stars for a business like this one. Today I felt assaulted and insulted by @Cyprus Air

Complete Scam: Our gas fireplace wasn't working so contacted Cyprus air, received an appointment and the serviceman arrived at the appointed time. I was informed the it would be $295 for the diagnosis, OR I could pay $495 for a year's service plan on the fireplace. Not knowing what was wrong with with fireplace I opted for the one time fee of $295.

After finding the faulty part, I was offered the option of buying a $2,500 logs replacement, or ordering an ignition part from the company for $750 (identical part on Amazon was $46). After ordering the part from Amazon, called Cyprus for installation to find out they won't install the part unless ordered from them. I don't deal with such shady business practices. Caveat emptor.

Never using this company again. When I called to make the service appointment I clearly explained that I only needed the remote receiver box replaced. They insisted on charging me for a cleaning that was not needed, and then showed up to the service appointment without the needed part. So I had to spend a second day waiting around for another service call after they ordered the part.

They initially charged me for a new full remote system, but at the second service call only installed the receiver box. I had to explain I paid for a new remote system, before I was given one. Luckily I work from home a few days a week and was able to schedule these appointments then, because if I had actually taken time off of work for this nonsense I would be even more livid than I currently am.

Do not and I can not stress this enough do not use this company. What should have been a 3-4 day job took 3 months. The customer service is terrible. They don't return phone calls and I caught them in several lies. One mainly netting they blamed a delay on my permit which when I finally called the city they said it was ready. Winter in basically over now and i just got a working fireplace. I am beyond disgusted with the operation of the company.

The tech that did the installation was professional and knew what he was doing. While there were issues in equipment that was delivered they were promptly corrected. The technician quickly identified and hence provided a professional installation. The customer service representative was tremendous and always answered my calls and promptly handled the matters presented to her. While there were a few glitches they were all handled and addressed promptly and professionally.

A technician came in the hour indicated. He was friendly and efficient. There are several price quote all depending on how you are paying. I haven't had it installed yet but from the consultation to the installation date... The time frame is really good. I did the special of AC and furnace replacement. I will review again after the installation and a week of use.

Cyprus Air just finished my heating and ac system. Everyone that came to the job were knowledgeable,courteous and nice. They all knew their craft from the installers Roberto and Jamie to Bill who came by and installed the thermostat.it was an excellent experience!

Excellent service by Carlton! He’s the best! I now know I’m ready for the summer cooling season. Cypress Air also was very good at emailing me to remind me and letting me know who was coming out and what time I would be getting a service call and that is very much appreciated. I also had a call from the accounting division that day. It was a full-service day from Cyprus air!

Charles Carufel,was an excellent and knowledgeable Comfort Advisor. I was in need of purchasing 3 AC/Heating units. and the detail information Charles took down was outstanding. Charles to great pride in performing his analysis of my current systems and provided me with information as to past temperture challenges, the size replacement systems that I would need. Charles and his assistant deserves an A+ for customer services, professionalize, knowledge and warm personality. I would strong recommend my friends and family to call Cyprus if they are in need of a AC/Heating unit.

If everyone there were as good as Carlton G. the reviews would be all 5 Star. Seriously. He and the entire field technicians are very very good. The company struggles coordinating their front office (sales, scheduling, management) with their more than competent field personnel who actually do the work. If they can learn to communicate as a team, and keep their customers in the loop and their deadlines hit, they will be the best of the best! I think they can do this, but the management team really needs to focus on fixing those misfires.

I'm giving three stars because of the difficulties I've had with a new gas log set: miscommunication between sales and installer, broken log out of the box, log set quit working, repair appointment missed. The shining light is Bill Turgeon, the technician who arrived early evening on a Friday and stayed until he had determined the problem, and then he went above and beyond to obtain the necessary part and return the next business day to install it and get the log set working. Kudos to Bill - a true professional who put customer satisfaction above all else, including his time off. Thanks, Bill, I am satisfied.

What a great technician you have in Marcellus. My fireplace was no longer working and he came in today to service it. He was incredibly professional, did a beautiful job not only fixing the fireplace but re-assembling it so that it looked better than it's looked in a long time. He explained everything clearly, and was just a super nice guy.
